Care Bills Will Wipe Out Old People's Saving

by Phil T. Luker

We have commented many times on the deliberate social engineering project to wipe out the savings and pensions of all but the most wealthy eliteists (don't should 'conspiracy theory', everything we have predicted has come true) Now as we have said before social engieering policies are set to transfer the savings of thrifty, hard working people into the clutches of financially incontinet governments.

A rising number of elderly people face losing “almost all of their wealth” to pay for social care, after the Government admitted it was “unable to commit” to reforming the system.

Statins, The Drug The Government Wants To Make Us Take, In New Health Risk Warning

Regular readers will know that The Daily Stirrer has previously warned of the intentions of the science fascists who have hijacked the healthcare industry and particularly on their efforts to persuade gullible, control freak politicians that everybody over 50 should be put on a daily does of this drug which is used to lower chol;esterol.

The medical science community, whose primary concern is not with public health but with the profits of drug companies because of course the greedy, self serving doctors and academics who want to make sure the lavish "hospitality", the bungs and the payola keep flowing.

There are still some people in the industry with integrity however. A new publication from The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)warns that millions of people who take statins to ward off heart attacks and strokes must cut their dose over fears they are at risk of serious side-effects.

Statins have been hailed my medical authorities as a wonderdrug which can slash cholesterol and protect against a host of chronic illnesses. But the medicines regulator is concerned that some could suffer agonising muscle problems, lung disorders and kidney damage. It warned that those taking simvastatin in combination with drugs which slash high blood pressure are at risk of the side-effects.

Some people should take a lower dose or be moved on to another statin, the MHRA said.

Simvastatin is the most frequently prescribed cholesterol statin in the UK, commonly given to elderly patients. Family Doctors gave out almost three million prescriptions for it in England alone last year. Every day eight million people take various statins which cost as little as 40p a day.

Experts want those aged over 50 to be routinely prescribed them to ward off a host of chronic and potentially fatal illnesses from heart problems to cancer and dementia, even if they are deemed at low risk. They say giving an extra five million people statins would cut heart attacks and strokes by 10,000 a year and save at least 2,000 lives. Scientists are hypersensitive to criticism and when bloggers and commentators in mainstream media accuse them of having a totally irresponsible attitude towards patients and displaing fascistic tentencies it always causes wailing and gnashing of teeth. When those same researchers and medics talk of witholding treatment for other ailments from people who refuse to take drugs they don't need and which might harm them, what else can we conclude.

The push to force people to take statins continues even though the side-effects are well known with some patients taking the drug suffering side-effects from insomnia and stomach upsets to a potentially lethal lung disorders, kidney damage and muscle degeneration.

Most experts still agree that the benefits of taking them far outweigh any risks. That is the kind of idiocy the reliance of science on statistics has led scientists to. If one person in then thousand dies because they have been taking prescribed statins the scientists will say it is statistically insignificant. but try telling that to the person who dies.

The Hubris of Scientists Brings The Inevitable Result

When six Italian scientists were jailed for failing to raise the alarm that an earthquake was imminent thus contributing to the deaths of many people the outrage from the science community was utterly predictable and completely unjusdtified. Why should scientists get special treatment, why should science be placed beyond accountability?

Nick Clegg launches attack on Tories who want to escape from Europe

In a row that threatens to split the coalition government, Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg has warned the Conservatives Britain is at risk of leaving the EU if Tories keep trying to “unravel” Europe by clawing back sovereign powers and trying to force Brussels to cut it's own budget in the same way as the bureaucratic dictatorship has imposed austerity on member states in order to save the doomed single currency. After the Government lost a vote in which Conservsative rebels and the Labour Party voted to seek a cut in the EU budget, the deputy Prime Minister warned that Britain is in real danger of exiting the Union if Tories keep "stamping their feet" and demanding new rules. He also claimed "a grand, unilateral repatriation of powers might sound appealing but in reality, it is a false promise, wrapped in a Union Jack". The deputy Prime Minister’s remarks will be interpreted as a swipe at David Cameron, who has promised to bring back powers from Brussels. Speaking at Chatham House, Mr Clegg said the Lib Dems will play no part in taking back powers without absolute assurances that Britain can opt back in. He also said there is "no hope" of a cut in the EU budget, as demanded by more than 50 Tory rebels and the Labour Party, because no other country is demanding such a reduction. In a warning to the Tory leadership, Mr Clegg said there is a “shorter leap” than anyone thinks to Britain exiting the EU in “an outright crisis that would leave the UK fully marginalised”. Exactly. Fully marginalised like Norway and Switzerland, both of which are doing very nicely.

Lib Dem Energy Minister Wants You To Sit In The Dark While Foreign Billionaires Steal You Money

The Energy Secretaru Ed Davey, one of the most senior Liberal Democrats in the Coalition government has banned Conservative junior minister John Hayes, a new face in the Department of Energy, from making remarks about the spread of wind farms after he told newspapers, "enough is enough".

Davey, the Energy Secretary today slapped down Tory Energy Minister John Hayes for saying the spread of wind farms across the countryside will be brought to a halt as “enough is enough”.

It is a deepening of the Coalition rift over Britain's green agenda, after Mr Hayes called for an end to wind farms "peppered" all over the countryside.

Mr Davey spoke out after as wind farm developers anxiously called on him to clear up the mixed messages.

“There has been no change to Government policy on renewable energy, as collectively agreed by the Coalition Cabinet," he said.

“There are no targets - or caps - for individual renewable technologies such as onshore wind. Nor are there reviews being done of onshore wind on the basis of landscape or property values.

“What we’re currently consulting on are ways of making sure local communities feel the benefit of hosting wind farms, and whether our understanding of future costs is accurate.

It is understood he banned Mr Hayes from making similar remarks in a speech at a renewable energy conference in Glasgow last night.

Mr Hayes, a known sceptic about wind farms, was appointed by the Prime Minister in the recent re-shuffle, fuelling speculation his views are backed at senior levels within the Conservative Party.Tory opposition to wind farms has already caused a major row this year with the Liberal Democrats, after 100 backbenchers wrote to George Osborne, the Chancellor, demanding a cut to subsidies.

This morning, RenewableUK, a renewable energy lobby group, called for “urgent clarification after negative comments on wind energy were made by John Hayes in some of this morning’s papers”. The group said his comments were markedly different from those made to 400 industry delegates at the RenewableUK annual conference last night. Maf Smith, the group’s deputy chief executive, said: “As the wind industry meets in Glasgow to celebrate the success of this industry, it comes as some surprise that the new minister has said one thing to us and another to the press.

Amazon Mocks Apple's Unhealthy Option

Amazon has mocked Apple in an audacious US advert that pits the Kindle Fire HD against the iPad Mini.

Amazon's US homepage is filled by a huge comparison of Kindle Fire HD and Apple's newsly launched iPad Mini features titled 'Much More for Much Less'.

It marks a more aggressive approach in Amazon's marketing strategy as Apple attempts to enter the mini tablet marketplace, which has until now been dominated by Amazon's Kindle range of devices. Apple can't honsetly complain, their own attacks on their (usually technically superior) opposition have in the past bordered on libellous.

The Amazon advert focuses on the strengths of the Kindle tablet while pointing out the shortcomings of Apple's latest overpriced piece of shit device.

It highlights the superior resolution of the Kindle Fire HD's display, its dual stereo speakers and its significantly lower price - $199 compared to the iPad Mini's $329.

Girls of 13 given birth control jab at school without parents’ knowledge

According to information leaking out of the Education Department schoolgirls as young as 13 have been given contraceptive injections and implants during lunch-breaks without their parents’ knowledge.

In the most shocking example yet of how socialist authoritarians have hijacked the education system and are brainwashing pupils with their anti - family, anti - British agenda, news has broken revealing school nurses have ben ordered to give contraceptive implants or jabs to girls aged between 13 and 16 more than 900 times in the past two years, a survey by The Daily Telegraph has found. Girls aged 13 have been given contraceptive jabs and implants on more than 20 occasions.

What wewre these teachers and educationalists thinking. The political left has a long track record of trying to sexualise children of course, it is part of their uber-agenda to destroy the family and make us all slaves of the state. Labour Deputy Leader Harridan Harperson, when she worked at the National Council for Civil Liberties in the 1970s actively campaigned for relaxation of age of consent laws and equal rights for paedos. Acroos the pond the scummy Obama administration appointed as Tsar for sex education a man who has made a career out of campaigning for equal rights for kiddie fiddlers.

And now schoolteachers, and let's face it there was never a profession made up of so many dysfunctional, unhappy and profoundly unattractive people, are teaching little girld that their genitals can be used as toys.

An estimated 7,400 girls aged 15 and under have been given contraceptive injections or implants at family planning clinics arranged by schools. Under the patient confidentiality rules, nurses are banned from seeking the permission of parents beforehand, or even informing them afterwards, without the pupil’s permission. Members of the creepy profession are trying to usurp the role of parents.

This trivialisation of sex is only happening in the Socialist controlled state education system of course. In the private sector there is a more responsible attitude. Anthony Seldon, the master of Wellington College, said: “I think that sexual intercourse is the very highest and most mature spiritual relationship that can exist between two human beings.

“Anything that trivialises or treats it as something mundane or easy, particularly for young people, is damaging their ability to grow up and to properly form a loving lasting relationship. It devalues sex, it makes it like an ordinary, everyday thing like going to have a McDonald’s.”

Absolutely right. On the other hand in the state sector trainee Jimmy Saviles are being turned loose among your kids.

Trendy left wing education policies accused of inhibiting ambition in school pupils

by Xavier Connolly

Teachers are encouraging many children to believe that top exam grades, places at elite universities and professional careers are all beyond them, an education minister said in a speech last week. Liberal Deomcrat David Laws attacked the “depressingly low expectations” inculcated by schools that he said are impeding children in many parts of the country and preventing them from getting ahead in life.

Even in the more affluent parts of the country, school teachers and careers advisers are failing to encourage children to “reach for the stars,” instead pushing them to settle for middling exam results and careers with “medium-ranked” local employers, he said. Mr Laws’s remarks are his first comments on education policy since his return to the Government in last month’s cabinet reshuffle.

“Teachers, colleges, careers advisers have a role and a responsibility to aim for the stars and to encourage people to believe they can reach the top in education and employment, that is not happening as much as it should at the moment.” Mr Laws said.

The Lib Dems are currently pushing measures to increase social mobility, making it easier for people to get ahead regardless of their social background. Social mobility stagnated during the Labour era from 1997 to 2010 that's to Labour's unceasing efforts to make everybody equal by dragging all down to the lowest connom denominator.

Mr Laws, a Cambridge University graduate, said that social mobility was not simply a question of wealth, arguing that even children from comfortable backgrounds are being held back by low expectations and a lack of aspiration.

The minister, a former City banker who represents Yeovil in Somerset, said many children are effectively being taught that high-flying careers are not possible for them. “Even in my own constituency, Yeovil, which would not be regarded as one of the most socially deprived areas of the country, most young people would regard going into investment banking as almost leaving the country, because it’s a different world,” he said.

“They will often be encouraged to believe it is beyond them.”

In many parts of the country outside London, the minister suggested, children without family connections believe that careers such as banking, law and journalism are closed.

Instead of aiming high, “there are too many young people who think that the two or three big employers in their local town are the limit of their aspiration”.

Low career expectations can lead children to get lower exam grades than they could achieve, Laws suggested. “If your expectation in a school is that you only need a moderate set of qualifications because there is no point aiming higher than a job in a local facttory, that’s a huge cap not just on social mobility, it is a cap on achievement in examinations,” he said.

“If you think it is really important to get three A*s to get into Cambridge and the City, you will be much more motivated than if you think you just need three Cs to go into the local medium-ranked employer.” As well as telling teachers and schools to raise children’s expectations, Mr Laws said that employers from “more privileged” industries should also do more to encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

It was terrible here, TV host Fiona Phillips tells pupils at her old school

In a totally separate incident to the one reported above, politically leftish television presenter Fiona Phillips used a speech at her old school to attack the education she received there, claiming it had turned her into a "vile teenager". The former GMTV host, 51, pulled no punches during what was supposed to be a celebration for the rebranding of Millbrook School as a £16 million academy.

Appearing at the school as a guest speaker, she claimed teachers at the Southampton comprehensive crushed her aspirations during the 1970s, resulting in her leaving with just one O-level. Describing her arrival at Millbrook as an "eye opener" after being top of her primary school class, she said: "It was a school rampant with hormones and no discipline, no aspiration and no encouragement.

OUCH! Not what the school was expecting from it's former pupil.

Ms Phillips said, "I went in and said I wanted to be a doctor and they said, 'Have you thought about hairdressing?' I can remember being in classes throwing furniture around. We locked a fashion teacher in a cupboard and threw one over a bush, and that was normal behaviour. My mother was in despair because I was so vile to her. They used to come and pick me up from the police station after I had been caught shoplifting. I was in fights after school; I won't even go into what else went on. My mother couldn't believe that this constant pupil had turned into this vile teenager."

The speech provoked angry criticism from former pupils and governors at the school, now renamed Oasis Academy Lord's Hill.

One contemporary of Phillips said: "There was nothing wrong with the school nor the pupils who worked hard at their education. Perhaps if Ms Phillips had not spent so much time throwing furniture and teachers around she may have got more out of her time there." Bet we know who was teachers pet.

Is Europe's Love Of Obama Really Just A Phobia About America?

by Ian R Thorpe

There are two great mysteries about the relationship between the USA and Europe. Why do Europeans love Barack Obama so much? And why do European Obama-supporters think anyone in the United States remotely cares what they think?

Two recent polls show how much more popular Obama is around the world compared to his rival. If Britain was the real 51st state, according to a GlobeScan/PIPA survey published on the BBC website, it would easily hand Obama its 100 electoral college votes, Britons favouring Obama by 65 per cent to Mitt Romney's 7. And Britain is considerably less Obamaist than France, where the ratio is 72-1.

Then there’s the Gallup poll that has Obama on 81 per cent around the world, and polling at 96 per cent or more in Iceland, Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Ireland and Denmark. Which means that Germans are more pro-Obama than African-Americans, and far more so than Kenyans, who seem to have a soft spot for Mitt despite the Obama connection.

And yet Obama has overseen the continuance of the Afghan war, in his spell as Commander in Chief of the US military Uncle Sam had become embroiled in the domestic conficts of more foreign nations than it did under the alleged warmonger Bush and has not managed to broker a solution to any of the political or humanitarian crises it has faced. He has caved in to Russia, China and the Arabs and supported Agrentina in its unjustifiable claims on the sovereign territory of America's closest ally, Britain.

Obama’s record on global economy and security is pretty dubious; (right now it feels like the Mayans were onto something,) and certainly should not account for the massive disparity in European polls. Instead support for Obama has more to do with European distaste for Middle America, characterised by “angry” Tea Party activists, guns, racism, climate-change denial and creationism. (We all like a laugh at creationists, but the main difference between the sort of unscientific beliefs espoused by religious Republicans and the secular bunkum believed by the Democrats is that you can get fired from your job for questioning the latter’s Politically Correct doctrines.)

Quite simply many Europeans like Obama because they see him as UnAmerican. It’s this arrogance and snobbery that drives European thinking about the US.

Europes Authoritarian Bureaucrats Spark Nazi Revival In Greece

As The Daily Stirrer predicted the draconian austerity measures coupled with collapse of Greece's domestic economy as a result of it's membership of the euro zone single currency system have resulted in the rise of a neo Nazi political party in Greece . Golden Dawn are now the third largest party in Greek politics as the people of Greece contend with rising prices, falling incomes, unemployment at around 25% and a wave of immigration due to the E U Human Righs law forced on member nations.

Can Your Body Sense Future Events Without Any External Clue?

by The Druid Of Science

Recent work at the outer limits of scientific enquiry has had some success in looking at the phenomonon of presentiment (knowing stuff is going to happen before it happens) Research in this area that mainstream science has previously been dismissive of is discovering that our bodies anticipate events below our level of normal conscious awareness. This, if translated down to the cellular level (search the SR archives on "quantum biology"). www.schwartzreport.net is entirely consistent with the work already done in Quantum Entanglements.

Though I am a cynic (A true cynic who questions everything, not a science pseud who sneers at everything that does not fit neatly into a mathematical model of reality) and therefore reserve judgement on this because findings as yet are far from proof, I do not reject it either because as a true cynic I look to my own experience of pre cognition and those described to me by perfectly rational, level headed people. Many people are dismissive of the idea that our bodies might have precognitive ability and thus are able to prepare us for future events that could be very important to us, even if there's no clue about what those events will be? WOW, you might well say, that would be almost as good as being a Jedi Knight, how can I get such powers, you might well ask?

Maybe you have already have experienced such abilities at work in yourself or observed them in others. Chances are you will only have talked about your experiences to people you trust implicitly. But what if I were to tell you work carried out by the science faculty of several respectable universities shows presentiment without any external clues may, in fact, be a reality. According to new Northwestern University research that analyzes the results of 26 studies published between 1978 and 2010 this is the case.

I can almost hear the mathematics worshippers screming in outrage already, but remember Mathematics is not a science it is an art, an artifice, not a thing of nature but a creation of the human mind. So where does the research on presentiment stand? Researchers already know that our subconscious minds sometimes know more than our conscious minds. Physiological measures of subconscious arousal, for instance, tend to show up before conscious awareness that a deck of cards is stacked against us.

Julia Mossbridge, lead author of the study and research associate in the Visual Perception, Cognition and Neuroscience Laboratory at Northwestern said, "What has not been clear is whether humans have the ability to predict future important events even without any clues as to what might happen,"

Ms Mossbridge gives an example. A person playing a video game at work while wearing headphones, for example, can't hear when his or her boss is coming around the corner.

"But our analysis suggests that if you were tuned into your body, you might be able to detect these anticipatory changes between two and 10 seconds beforehand and close your video game," Mossbridge said. "You might even have a chance to open that spreadsheet you were supposed to be working on. And if you were lucky, you could do all this before your boss entered the room."

This phenomenon is sometimes called "precognition," as in "knowing the future," but Mossbridge said she and other researchers are not sure whether people are really sensing the future.

"I like to call the phenomenon 'anomalous anticipatory activity,'" she said. "The phenomenon is anomalous, some scientists argue, because we can't explain it using present-day understanding about how biology works; though explanations related to recent quantum biological findings could potentially make sense. It's anticipatory because it seems to predict future physiological changes in response to an important event without any known clues, and it's an activity because it consists of changes in the cardiopulmonary, skin and nervous systems."

The study, "Predictive Physiological Anticipation Preceding Seemingly Unpredictable Stimuli: A Meta-Analysis," is in the current edition of Frontiers in Perception Science. In addition to Mossbridge, co-authors of the study include Patrizio Tressoldi of the Università di Padova, Padova, Italy, and Jessica Utts of the University of California, Irvine.

The Man Who Is The Mostest In Love With Obama

by Captain Redneck

The American media is nothing if not biased. British media may lean so far to the left it looks almost ready to capsize but the American mainstream media in its efforts to deify Barack Obama turned turtle long ago. And there is no American current affairs commentator with his or her tongue quite so far up Obama's arse as Chris Matthews.

Never heard of him? Matthews is the guy who back in 2008 showed his impartiality by saying that every time he heard Obama speak he creamed his underpants a thingle ran up his leg. And despite Obama's record in office of failure, dishonesty and disloyalty to the nation he serves as President, Matthews is still firmly attached by the tongue to Obama's arsehole.

How can you tell an election is going the way Chris Matthews wants? The USA suddenly becomes a beacon of light and hope. How can you tell an election is going badly for Chris Matthews? American voters suddenly become a bunch of racists who want to put blacks back in chains. His post-debate analysis in the wake of the final television debate between the contenders will tell you more than the polls or my sarcastic comments which direction the election is now going:

Liberal pundit Chris Matthews explained Mitt Romney’s support among conservatives, despite the candidate shifting toward the center on a number of issues, as a product of “racial hatred.” Speaking after Thursday night’s debate on MSNBC, Matthews accused Romney of “pulling back” from many of the foreign policy positions he had taken during the primary. When host Rachel Maddow wondered why Romney might be “reversing himself” from his stated positions during the primary and whether that could dampen his support among his conservative base, Matthews dismissed such a possibility. “I think they hate Obama. They want him out of the White House more than they want to destroy al Qaeda. Their No. 1 enemy in the world right now, on the right, is their hatred, hatred for Obama. And we can go into that about the white working class in the South and looking at these numbers we’re getting the last couple days about racial hatred in many cases … this isn’t about being a better president, they want to get rid of this president,” he said.

So forget the state of the US economy, the continuing high unemployment rate, the foreign policy disasters; forget the social divisions that have been exacerbated by Obama's policies and are now tearing the nation apart, forget the failed attempt to throw open the borders and allow a tide of undocumented immigrants to cross the border into the south western states or the 'fast and furious' fiasco that saw the American government supplying Mexican drug cartels with assault weapons, forget the unconstitutional laws rammed through on executive orders by the Obama, they are not why the tide has turned against Obama.

Matthews is absolutely certain an election that clearly is being lost by Barack Obama is actiually being lost because a nation of racists cannot stand the thought of a black man in The White House. It is not about median household income dropping faster during the Obamanomics recover (4.8%) than during the recession (2.5%). It’s not about having the lowest civilian population participation rate in the labour market in the last 31 years(63.5%, down from 65.7% at the beginning of the recovery). It’s not about 1.3% GDP growth against 4.5% inflation. It’s not about skyrocketing deficits and budget proposals so ridiculous that no one in Obama’s own party would vote for them not is it about the effect of rising prices on family budgets.

Matthews, like so many others who signed up to the Obamessiah cult cannot bring himself to admit it’s about America rejecting the President who delivered this economic performance. But to say that American voters dislike him not because of his failures, but because of the color of his skin — even though the same electorate made him President despite a lack of experience over a long-known and long-serving politician four years says nothing about America and everything about Chris Matthews and all the other sycophantic, tunnel visioned supporters whose only response to any citicicism of Obama is to should racism.

I have always disliked Barack Obama, for me he was too much like Tony Blair, a man lacking moral fible who could lie plausibly and without compunction and would have said or done whatever it took to get elected. his fanatical supporters however, I like them even less.

We Told You So, Mobile Phones Do Cause Brain Tumours

by Ian R Thorpe

Actually they don't necessarily cause brain tumours and the Daily Stirrere has always stated that is the case. But like cigaretttes which, it has long been alleged by health experts, cause lung cancer to the extent that if you pass somebody in the street who last smoked a cigarette a week ago you will instantly develop cancerous lungs and die, the same heath expert lobby, funded by Big Tech have insisted there is no risk whatsoever from mobile or cordless phones. And there is and there always has been though the risk is small (as is the risk of lung cancer to those who are moderate smokers). A landmark court case in Italy has paved the way for a flood of lawsuits from people whose health has been affected by mobile phone use and another humiliation for the fascistic zealots of big science looks inevitable because the science-as-a-religion people have always sneeded condescendingly that anyone who tried to instigate a rational discussion of the risks of wireless technology was a conspiracy theorist. Innocente Marcolini, 60, an Italian businessman, fell ill after using a handset at work for up to six hours every day for 12 years. In a landmark case Italy's Supreme Court in Rome has ruled there is a "causal link" between his illness and cellular telephone use, Italian newspapers are reporting. Mr Marcolini said: "This is significant for very many people. I wanted this problem to become public because many people still do not know the risks. "I was on the phone, usually the mobile, for at least five or six hours every day at work. Parents need to know their children are at risk of this illness." Mr. Marcolini said he wanted it recognised that there was a link between illness such as his non cancerous tumour and the use of mobile and cordless phones. British and American a scientists have claimed there is insufficient evidence to prove any link to mobiles. However the respected oncologist and professor of environmental mutagenesis Angelo Gino Levis gave evidence for Mr Marcolini — along with neurosurgeon Dr Giuseppe Grasso. They said electromagnetic radiation emitted by mobile and cordless phones can damage cells, making tumours more likely. Prof Levis told The Sun: "The court decision is extremely important. It finally officially recognises the link. It will open not a road but a motorway to legal actions by victims. We're considering a class action." Mr Marcolini's tumour was discovered in the trigeminal nerve — close to where the phone touched his head. It is non-cancerous but threatened to kill him as it spread to the carotid artery, the major vessel carrying blood to his brain. His face was left paralysed and he takes daily morphine for pain. Alasdair Philips speaking on behalf of Powerwatch, a group which campaigns for more research on mobile use, said: "This is an interesting case and proves the need for more research into the effects of wireless communications technologies on human tissue. "People should limit mobile and cordless use until we know more. The World Health Organisation, in recent years usually a friend to big business, urged limits on mobile use last year, calling them a Class B carcinogen. International radiation biology expert Michael Repacholi said: "Studies show no evidence of cancer. But if you are worried, use a headset, hands-free or loudspeaker." But a spokesman for Britain's Health Protection Agency said: "The scientific consensus is that mobile phones do not cause cancer." That good old "scientific concensus" a.k.a. The Big Lie again. To put it more honestly, a small group of research scientists, a faction of the academic elite, who have managed to gain the ear of government have collaborated to ensure any serious research which contradicts the finidings of research funded by and favourable to certain big money interests will be ridiculed and sidelined and the people responsible for it will find their careers run into a ditch. Media lawyer Mark Stephens commented that the verdict could "open the floodgates" — even though there is no direct obligation on British courts to follow the Italians' lead. He said: "It is possible people will begin legal action here, but I think the chances of success are less. I think they'll join any class action in Italy." When the case get to the U S A, that is when the fireworks will really start.
The Folly of World View Theorists From The Left And Right by Egbert Nobakon

World view theorists abound on the right and left of the political spectrum. Neo - con Free Market Freaks butt heads against big government collectivists as they compete to offer the most authoritarian and unworkable solutions to the world's ongoing crisis. The one element they always factor out of their calciulations however, human nature, is always the one that sneaks up and bites their arses.

American Media Ignores Obama's Role In The Middle East Crisis

by Egbert Nobakon

The latest exchange of hostilities in the increasingly bitter and dirty U.S. Presidential election campaign took place last night. President (of the Entire Universe and everything else besides) Barack Hussein Obama met contender Mitt Romney to debate the issues that concern Americans ... or not, perhaps. Romney was smooth in his stonewalling, Obama interrupted, sneered and tried to obfuscate as only a desperate man whose administration is bankrupt of ideas can. The main flashpoint of the night came not from the candidates but the moderator.

When Romney reminded the stuidio and television audience that the terrorist loving President had denied for weeks that the terrorist attack in which the U. S. Ambassador to Libya was homosexually raped and murdered was in fact a terorist attack the moderator called on him to withdraw. In fact Romney was right, Obama and the laughing donkey Biden both claimed the attack was a spintaneous protest about an anti - Islamic amateur video posted on You Tube. If fact the only refeences to terror made by Biden and Obama occurred when they said the incident "was not a terrorist attack".

The middle east is becoming the deathbed of the Obama regime as it has been of so many American Presidencies. American foreign policy in the area has become a disaster zone.

One argument we will increasingly be hearing is that President Barack Hussein Obama couldn’t have done anything to change events in the Middle East. This is ironic because when things were going well he was going mad to give himself credit as the inspiration for the “Arab Spring.”

Let’s remember how the president pre - empted what was to come. He gave a speech in Cairo in which Muslim Brotherhood leaders were seated in front, thus making it impossible for Egyptian government officials to attend. Obama thus not only declared himself on the side of the opposition, but of the Islamist opposition.

Important, but never noticed, is something critical Obama did. In discussing the Middle East and the Arabic-speaking world, he exalted Islamic identity. Remember that for six decades, national — i.e., Arab — identity had dominated. True, it was used by dictatorships and for demagogic, anti-American purposes. Now, however, here was an American president declaring that religious identity should dominate. This was an action both against the existing regimes and the moderate opposition forces.

After the demonstrations in Egypt began in January 2011, the U.S. State Department — with the approval of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — advocated a policy in line with traditional U.S. strategy. They would work with the military to institute reforms and more freedom, while jettisoning the aged, ineffective President Hosni Mubarak. But they opposed the dismantling of the regime.

The White House rejected that approach. They publicly declared a desire for Egypt’s fundamental transformation.

Anyone who knew Egypt should have and could have predicted this meant Islamist dominance. Yet the administration rejected the idea that this might happen. Indeed, without being asked, Obama publicly stated that he had no problem with a Muslim Brotherhood government taking power. Obama deliberately didn’t consult with the leaders of Israel, Jordan, or Saudi Arabia because he didn’t want to hear their warnings about the risks he was taking and their opposition to what he was doing.

He had already decided that a Brotherhood regime would be his preferred outcome.

By such actions, Obama conveyed to the military that it could not expect U.S. support, and this made it impossible for the generals to try to retain control over events. Indeed, in the following months, U.S. policy under Obama’s direction constantly criticized the military and called for a quick transition.

But that did not mean that the Obama administration supported the moderate opposition. Reportedly, U.S. programs that helped prepare political forces for elections and taught them lessons about organizing were directed to the Brotherhood, not the liberals. There was certainly no systematic effort to help the moderates.

Indeed, in briefings to Congress and the media literally every day in 2011 and throughout 2012, the Obama administration — under the president’s supervision — whitewashed the Brotherhood as a moderate organization. Anti-American speeches by Brotherhood leaders, calls for jihad against Israel, extremist actions, and support for violence against U.S. soldiers in Iraq were all ignored.

Whatever Iran Is Up To, It Is Not Good

by Egbert Nobakon

Could Iran be hatching plans to disrupt the vital traffic of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, conduit for over a third of the west's oil, thus disrupting western economies? According to a top secret report obtained by western intelligence agencies the Ayatollahs and their puppet Mad Jad have already prepared such a plan.. The aim of the operation is to both temporarily block the vital shipping channel and to force a suspension of Western sanctions.

If there is one man who inspires fear among western leaders, it is General Mohammed Ali Jafari, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the man who would oversee such an operation.

Jafari was among the students who stormed the US Embassy in Tehran on Nov. 4, 1979. He later saw active service in the Iran-Iraq War, and in 2007 Jafari, who has a degree in architecture, took command of the Pasdaran, the Revolutionary Guards. The group, founded by revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khamenei to defend the Islamic regime, has according to intelligence sourses, developed into a state within the state.

Today the Pasdaran control several companies and are probably a more effective military force than the regular army of Iran. Two thirds of the most senior members of the Iranian government have completed Pasdaran training. Within this group of hardliners, Jafari, 55, is seen being the most uncompromising. In 2009 he declared that Iran would fire missiles at Israel's nuclear research center in Dimona if the Israelis attacked Iran's nuclear facilities -- knowing full well that such an attack would result in several thousand deaths on both sides.

Now Jafari and his supporters are allegedly preparing new potential horrors. Western intelligence agencies have obtained details of the plan marked "top secret" and code-named "Murky Water." Together with Ali Fadawi, an admiral in the Pasdaran, Jafari appears to have proposed a senseless act of sabotage: to intentionally cause an environmental catastrophe in the Strait of Hormuz.

The goal of the plan seems to be that of contaminating the strait so as to temporarily close the important shipping route for international oil tankers. To the theocrats in Tehran this would punish the Arab nations led by Saudi Arabia that are hostile to Iran. It would also force the West to seek permission to enter Iranian territorial waters to carry out a clean up operation. Iran would then use this as a bargaining tool to deman the lifting of economic sanctions.

Western intelligence experts speculate that Jafari's planned operation is an expression of growing frustration. Contrary to claims made by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in an interview with German newspaper Der SPIEGEL last week, the embargo imposed on Tehran is causing far more than "discomfort." Iran derives more than 50 percent of its government revenue from oil exports, which declined from about 2.4 million barrels a day in July 2011 to about 1 million barrels in July 2012. But Iran has only cut back production by less than a quarter, because of the technical complexity and expense involved in temporarily capping wells.

Some commentators are saying Iran can hardly sell its oil because of the embargo though The Daily Stirrer doubts this because China has it's own insurance industry and its own means of dissuading the U S A from intercepting oil shipments bound for Chinses ports. The storage tanks on the Iranian mainland have been full for some time, and there are no neighboring countries to which Tehran's leaders would entrust their treasure. For weeks now, tankers have been carrying 40 million barrels of oil through the Gulf around the clock.

Most of the giant 15 VLCC supertankers and five smaller Suezmax ships, sailing under the Iranian flag, have switched off their automatic identification system. This makes it more difficult for foreign spies to detect them, but it also increases the risk of accidents. Countries bordering the Gulf have apparently complained to Tehran about the risky practice several times.

These are truly interesting times we live in.

We have reported the great wind turbine scam and the solar panel scam many times before but have always been supportive of hydro electric schemes. It turns out we were wrong, so corrupting is the greed on big money, so tempting is the lure of taxpayers cash that even hydro electricity has been seduced by those who can't resist the tempation to steal from the public purse.

It has been coming a long time but it seems Syria and Turkey are on the brink of full scale war. The Daily Stirrer did warn the Arab spring would end in regional war when Obama first stirred up the Muslim Brotherhood and other anti western elements of Islam.

Has The Government Seen Sense On Wind Farms?

by Xavier Connolly

Too little too late, is the verdict of the brilliant Allister Heath on the Tories' near-non-existent recovery strategy. I'm 90 per cent with him. Like Allister, I believe that the Tory high command simply doesn't understand what radical action needs to be taken if there is to be any kind of meaningful economic recovery.

However – and it is one big HOWEVER – there's one area where I think the government is starting to get it right – and that is on energy policy. Yesterday saw two hugely encouraging speeches from two of the best ministerial appointees in the last Coalition reshuffle: Owen "Minister of Sound" Paterson, Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. And John Hayes, the new Minister of State for Energy (at the Department of Energy and Climate Change).

Owen Paterson, who took on the role last month, said wind developers should “stand on their own two feet” instead of asking for money from the state. says:

... green technologies such as wind farms might actually have a worse impact than climate change, because they are causing “public insurrection”.

“There are significant impacts on the rural economy and the rural environment, all of which probably weren’t intended when these things were thought up,” he told an event at the Conservative Party conference. “It is not very green to be blighting the economy in one area.”

Mr Paterson said he would write to the Department of Energy with his view on ending green subsidies as part of a Government review of support for renewable energy.

“If you start having subsidies you end up with a Soviet-style system, where politicians make decisions that might actually be better made by the market,” he added

And here, less widely publicised but in some ways even more important for this man is in charge of implementing energy policy, John Hayes: (H/T – and many thanks – to Politics Home)

“So long as I am the Energy minister, the high-flown theories of cognitive bourgeoisie left academics will not over-ride the interests of ordinary people who need fuel for heat, light, and transport – energy policies, you might say, for the many not the few…

“To ensure we meet our energy needs and meet climate change objectives, we must invest in a diverse range of sources, and all investment must be optimum. It must represent the best value for taxpayer, consumers, and for the future generations that will benefit from it…

“What’s good for the environment must be good for the consumer too. And we can rise to this challenge, but only by allowing the market to play a primary role in determining the most productive means of investment. It’s the job of the Government to provide the framework within which these decisions are made, but if we think the state knows best, that it can make the kind of complex decisions that only the market can determine, then we will fail.

“This confusion between micromanagement and market responsiveness has bedevilled policy for years. Our energy sources must be clean and sustainable of course, but the bottom line, the actual costs both now and in the future are what really counts…

“There will certainly be a role for renewables in this mix, which is why I’ve already lifted red tape for converting coal-fired power stations to biomass…

“It is not just about aesthetics, though aesthetics of course will colour all I do. It’s about productivity. For example industrial wind turbines, to do their bit, must be in the right places doing the right job. And we might consider reconnecting production to consumption by putting its means closer to where demand is greatest.

“We’ve got to see big improvements in how developers engage with local communities – there must be new ways of ensuring a sense of local ownership and more obvious local economic benefits. In the end, what communities themselves want should drive deployment. That’s why, as I said a moment ago, I’ve called for evidence on all future on-shore wind developments and I look forward to Defra’s contribution, Owen, to that call for evidence.

“We will examine its costs and measure its benefits.”

Absolutely right, theories belong in the university faculty and computer modelling never proved anything. The Daily Stirrer has posted thousands of words on the folly of wind farms and the insane willingness of our political leaders to believe any crackpot theory proposed by some idiot who has spent most of his or her life on a university campus and thus lacks experience of simple realities in life like. WHEN THE WIND DOES NOT BLOW A WIND TURBINE DOES NOT GENERATE.

Early in 2012 a letter was sent by over 100 Members of Parliament to Prime Minister David Cameron demanding cuts to the £500 million a year subsidies paid to the wind power industry. Cameron, we should remember promised to lead the Greenest UK government ever, reminding him of the financial impact his governments politically correct energy policies were having on voters and urging a rethink on the wisdom of pouring £billions in green subsidies into the greedy pockets of foreign billionaires. Here is the full text:

The Prime Minister
10 Downing Street
LONDON, SW1A 2AA
30th January 2012

As Members of Parliament from across the political spectrum, we have grown more and more concerned about the Government’s policy of support for on-shore wind energy production.

In these financially straightened times, we think it is unwise to make consumers pay, through taxpayer subsidy, for inefficient and intermittent energy production that typifies on-shore wind turbines.

In the on-going review of subsidy for renewable energy subsidies, we ask the Government to dramatically cut the subsidy for on-shore wind and spread the savings made between other types of reliable renewable energy production and energy efficiency measures.

We also are worried that the new National Planning Policy Framework, in its current form, diminishes the chances of local people defeating unwanted on-shore wind farm proposals through the planning system. Thus we attach some subtle amendments to the existing wording that we believe will help rebalance the system.

Finally, recent planning appeals have approved wind farm developments with the inspectors citing renewable energy targets as being more important than planning considerations. Taken to its logical conclusion, this means that it is impossible to defeat applications through the planning system. We would urge you to ensure that planning inspectors know that the views of local people and long established planning requirements should always be taken into account.

Yours sincerely,

Will Egypt Seize Libya For Its Oil

by Phil T Luker

If the conflict in Syria, currently showing signs of spreading to Turkey, Iraq and Kurdistan were to escalate into a regional war, a proxy for east and west to butt heads without sustaining too much domestic damage, is Egypt likely to take advantage of the distraction and seize Libya for its oilfields?

The Egyptians certainly have an incentive. Since the Arab Spring kicked off almost two years ago, the Egyptian economy has been disintegrating. Foreign currency reserves have more than halved and many currency traders predict the Egyptian pound, already at its lowest point in eight years, will soon be devalued. Socially, discontent is widespread. According to Gulf News, “In the past three months, Egypt has experienced increased power cuts that sometimes last for hours, while a fuel and diesel crisis has at times paralyzed the country, with mile-long queues forming outside petrol stations.” The black market price for gas canisters is 10 times higher than the official selling price; for bread it’s five times higher.

Taking into account Egypt’s political ideology, its past relationship with its large but sparsly populated neighbour, and its economic situation this scenario is being raised as a concern by increasing numbers of diplomats, businesses and media organisations.

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood government desperately needs a $4.8-billion IMF bailout to stop the economy bleeding out but the Islamists refuse to curtail subsidies to peasant farmers because most of its support comes from the rural vote. To comply with IMF demands for austerity could easily trigger a popular revolt of the kind that led to the fall of the Mubarak regime.

Having cut the IMF umbilical cord the brotherhood is looking for aid from the Arab oil states and the U.S.A. but even if this materializes, it will be at best a stopgap. With tourism remaining the nation’s main source of foreign exchange, but tourists steering clear of Egypt because of its anti-Western riots, persecution of Christians and other minorities and rush to adopt Sharia law this revenue stream is faltering. Meanwhile foreign investors are increasingly wary of investing in Egyptian ventures leaving few options open to the government. The temptation to look next door at the source of wealth that kept an insane tyurant like Gadaffi in power in Libya for forty years could become an irresistible, temptation particularly since Egypt views union with Libya as inevitable.

If we remember that Arab loyalties are usually to tribe and clan rather than the synthetic nation states manufactured by the western powers after the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1918, it becomes easy to see why an Egyptian annexation of Libya looks an obvious way forward for two nations plunged into chaos by the western meddling that triggered the Arab Spring.

Woman DJ Says She Was Regularly Groped While Working At The BBC.

We were not surprised when allegations about Jimmy Savile's sexual preference for young (as in underage) girls emerged. The only surprise to us northerners who were all 'there' throughout the sixties and seventies and have had a finger on the pulse since was that reports of the prevy creep's paedophile peccadilos did not emerge a lot soomer.

But now as girl DJ Liz Kershaw reveals she was often groped by male colleagues while on air, broadcasting on national radio while working for the BBC it seems the Savile saga was the tip of the iceberg. There has always been a culture of sexism, misogyny and male macho at the politically correct BBC.

Once again the politically correct lefties in the media are exposed for the hypocrites they truly are. Paying lip service to politically correct principles by blethering about fairness, equal rights and helping the poor is easy to do. Living up to those principles by actually respecting our fellow human beings is another altogether.

Syria Attacks Turkey - Will This Trigger Western Involvement

by Little Nicky Machiavelli

The News Media last Thursday were full of reports on Syria's allegedly unprovoked mortar attack on Turkish territory which killed five civilians, including three children. Many of the more excitable foreign correspondents were predicting this could be the moment when the West is forced to intervene in the Syria's bloody civil war. At least the media have managed to move on from presenting the conflict as a one sided contest in which the tyrant Assad is slaughtering dissidents.

Whatever origin of the conflict, dissatisfaction with life under Assad, political protest against rising prices and falling living standards or a desire to live under Sharia law in an Islamic theocracy, the solution now does not lie in Syria or Turkey. China and Russia have lined up behind Assad, Europe and the US want him out.

I don't know what the big strategic picture is here, possibly that the world is reforming into three superstates run by oligarchic collectivist regimes as described in George Orwell's 1984, but I am 90% certain that there is a bigger but so far invisible agenda in operation and Syria and Turkey are just cold-war style proxies in the greater conflict that the main power blocs are reluctant to contest head to head.

Most people in the west are sick to death of hearing how we MUST sort out Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iran etc. etc. etc. Every couple of months there's some new middle eastern crisis or African humanitarian disaster that we poor taxpayers are supposed to stump up the money to sort out, no matter how much it costs while our soldiers, sailors and airmen lay down their lives in another futile contract that will resolve nothing..

For most of this year the West has agonised over how to halt the bloodshed in Syria without actually managing to formulate a convincing strategy for ending the violence. Partly this is due to the intervention of the Russians and Chinese who, with support from Iran, have blocked repeated attempts at the U.N. Security Council to agree a resolution that would actually have an impact on the conflict. At the moment Russian and Iranian ships are stationed in the Mediterranean protecting the sea lanes to Syrian ports.

The other factor that has weighed heavily on the deliberations of Western policymakers concerns the ambitions of those seeking to overthrow the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. Given what's happened in Egypt and Libya after the West enthusiastally backed the overthrow of those countries' long-standing dictators, after ill – considered interventions by politically motivated western leaders there is little appetite among the diplomatic corps or senior military personnel in Washington, London or Paris to see the emergence of another Islamist government emerge on the shores of the eastern Mediterranean.

Many voices are saying the deteriorating situation on the Turko-Syrian border could change all that. Last night an emergency meeting of Nato was convened to discuss the crisis, and resulted in the alliance condemning Syria's "flagrant violations of international law."

No hard evidence has been orffered that the Syrian government was behind the attack, in fact the notion that Syrian government-controlled forced launched cross border attacks is ludicrous.

Cui Bono. Who would gain from such attacks? The Western armament industry should NATO instigate some sort of attack on Syria perhaps, but the Islamists behind the civil war in Syria are already being supplied with western arms through Turkey and Iraq. The rebels themselves, fighting fanatically but making little progress while Assad retains the backing of Russia, are desperate for the west to intervene with air attacks So, in all likelihood these attacks originate from the 'rebels', not the government. A "False flag" operation then is high on the list of probabilities but the Syrian rebels are not the only suspect. What if the shelling was instigated by Turkey itself.

The Kurds are a problem for Turkey and have long campaigned for an autonomous region in Syria. In 2010 a Kurdish attack on Turkey with killed many civilians was proved to have been the work of Tuirkish covert operations squads and almost provided Turkey with an excuse to launch a fill scale invasion of Kurdish territory.

Also, Turkey is almost 100% Sunni, with no love for Syria's Alawite/Shi'ite ruling minority under Assad, so Turkey can kill two birds with one stone by using the rebels to foment the toppling of Assad, AND putting an end to Kurdish aspirations.

The West is right to be sceptical about Assad, he has a track record as an unmitigated bastard, but we should be acting on unsubstantiated Turkish claims of Syrian aggression. It would suit the current Turkish regime to get rid of Assad and see the western powers install in Syria a Sunni-dominated government hostile to the Kurds.

But given Turkey's status as a valued member of Nato, the alliance would not be able to remain on the sidelines for long if the border skirmishes escalated into all-out war. So what might the agenda be and is the scenario now playing out part of a long term plan?

Here's all the proof you need this has been planned since well before 2007, straight from the Horse's mouth.

General Wesley Clark, former head of Nato telling us they plan to take down 7 countries in five years.

There's criminal conspiracy right there and for the benefit of those innocents who believe the government is their best friend and there are no conspiracies, only tin foil hat wearers I have linked the full search results so numerous sources are available.

No Cure For Cancer

by Ed Butt

Forty years ago, when I was an idealistic young computer programmer / operator, while I foresaw a day when computer controlled processes would free humans from the drudgery of work I had the good sense to scoff at those who rarely ventured off the university campus to sample life in the real world and who thus were not embarrassed to burble enthusiastically about computers that could think like humans being just a few years away.

Four decades later we are no nearer a computer that thinks like a human, nor are we any nearer unerstanding how humans think.

About the same time, buoyed by the triumphs of the 1950s and 60s U.S. President Richard Nixon announced a war on cancer. It was a war that would be fought by a wider coalition than had been victorious in World War 2, this time Germany and Japan would be onside against a common enemy. The whole of the developing world stepped up to join the battle lines.

Unfortunately the enemy was a chimera.

More than 40 years after Nixon launched the war on cancer, we are not much closer to curing the disease. Why? Because finding a cure is the wrong goal, says doctor Margaret Cuomo.

Are We Wasting Billions Seeking a Cure for Cancer? by Dr. Margaret Cuomo

This excellent article takes an objective look at the folly of wasting $£€billions on trying to kill the shape shifter. The worm dieth not*, as is said somewhere in the Bible. Cancer is not one disease by many, with some common symptoms but many causes. A lot of experts say it is futile to keep seeking the magic bullet cure Nixon kicked off the hunt for and that we would be better focusing on diet, environmental issues and educationg people about the known risk factors.

Maybe it's time for a rethink.

* I'm not a bible student but have recently decided to use this as the title for a fiction creepfest based on the Legend of The Lambton Worm.

Has Everybody Forgotten Obama's War

by Ed Butt The American military machine has just chalked up the grim statistic of its 2,000th fatality since America troops first surged into Afganistan to defeat "insurgents" whose families had lived in that country for many generations. The invasion was justifed in the aftermath of September 11 by the myth that Afghanistan was a stronghold for Al Qaeda.

Given the amount of money Washington has pumped into this conflict, you would think the sad milestone might have merited some form of comment from the American president, particularly as soon after taking office her declared that Afghanistan would be his war and his victory and later he personally authorised the deployment of an extra 30,000 American combat troops two years ago in a last-ditch effort to beat the Taliban.

By the criteria one might also have expected Mitt Romney, the Republican challenger in November's Presidential election who is seeking to present himself as a safe pair of hands on national security issues, to seize an opportunity and articulate his own plans for the Afghan conflict, were he to win the election.

Such is the widespread unpopularity of the Afghan conflict now among American voters that neither candidate wants to get drawn on an issue which is unlikely to win the votes of any demographic. As a result the Afghan war has become the great non issue, the elephant in the room, that nobody could possibly be unaware of but that everybody is too embarrassed to mention. It is a situation which inspires little confidence in the ultimate fate of the conflict which is far from over.

The presidential candidates might not have any interest in what is going on in Afghanistan, but there are plenty of others who do, such as the Taliban, which is busily positioning itself to make a dramatic comeback once Nato's combat forces are withdrawn (or when they are vulnerable as withdrawal progresses) in two years time. And if that happens, whoever wins November's election will no longer have the luxury of ignoring Afghanistan's fate.

Afghanistan might be the issue they sweep under the carpet in 2012, but if they do it will be the decider in 2016.

Can the euro be saved by screwing the proles – and at what cost to freedom?

by Phil T Lucre

The Spanish government yesterday unveiled the toughest austerity measures and spending reforms in any budget of the post-Franco era. Public expressions of discontent bordering on civil disorder continued across the country. The problem for Spain in common with other weaker euro countries (i.e. all of them except Germany, Finland and Luxembourg is familiar: they cannot relieve their exploding debt burden by the traditional method of currency devaluation to get their economies back on track, so control of the economy must instead be achieved by decreasing the value of wages and forcing asset values to fall in real terms (‘internal devaluation’ aka inflation, the destroyer of savings, pensions and prosperity,). This means the population will have to pick up all the tab for the incompetence of their elitoist leaders through falling wages, fewer social benefits, less job security and so on.

When a netion gets into this state the situation becomes politically explosive, as the recent protests sweeping Athens, Madrid and Lisbon have indicated. Social and economic imperatives among the populace are clashing head to head with the deeply embedded authoroitarian idologies of the elite and threatening to derail their dream of a global totalitarian government.

It is clear that Spain, Greece and others need to undergo far-reaching structural reforms to improve their labour markets and industrial output in order to regain competitiveness and correct the brutal imbalances that have built up during their time in the fatally flawed Eurozone. Failing this, the euro will have to either break up or go for a full fiscal union. But is it possible to achieve such adjustment – and save the euro – through internal devaluation alone? This is the question Open Europe revisits in a briefing published yesterday.

In the view of the Daily Stirrer the answer is no. Many European nations are already close to social breakdown and even France is in deep trouble as President Hollande's socialist government is forced to abandon tax-and-spen promises and face up to the economic realities facing the country.

Freedom Of Speech? So Twewntieth Century For The Leftist Nazis

by Ed Butt
http://unforeseencontingencies.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/the-law-of-jungle-is-taking-over-prof.html Another highly placed Obama felching neo nazi leftie American legal scholar named Eric Posner is endorsing gutting the First Amendment in favor of anti-blasphemy, anti "hate speech", anti - inequality laws and state sponsored censorship. It's the most anti-Free Speech commentary I've seen yet. And naturally it comes from a leftie.

The first amendment to the US Bill of Rights means little to us British of course. But our rights are enshrined in law too. The Magna Carta? you might well ask. No but closeish, our common law rights are enshrined in a document signed into law before that even. king alfred's Liber Judicialis was written in the ninth century. So why are we letting these jumped up colonials and a bunch of closet Jew Roasters in Brussels dictate to us what we can and can't say. It turns out Prof. Goebbels Posner is of the opinion that "we overvalue free speech" (i.e. the ethics and values of goat molesting, vagina mutilating woman killers are the right ones and our Graeco Roman Christian values are wrong. So we must abandon ours our moral code and adopt theirs or to put it another way, "often free speech must yield to other values and the need for order." Didn't Hitler say something like that? Chicago law professor Posner, who also argues "We have to remember that our First Amendment values are not universal; they emerged contingently from our own political history, a set of cobbled-together compromises among political and ideological factions responding to localized events..." Well yes, American rights such as Free Speech did emerge from American history and the shared Anglo Saxon values of the English speaking diaspora and the Germanic lands. Islamic values, which Prof Posner seems so fond of emerged out of Muslim history. Their values suit them, our values suit most of us with the exception of ego tripping elitist academics like Posner who have never done an honest days work in their lives but have progressed from being hooked on coke to being hooked on power. If Posner was a tenth as intelligent as he thinks he is (Chicago you must remember is the University that gave Barack Obama a tenured Professorship which did not require him to deliver any lectures, host any tutorials or even turn up to collect his mail) he might understand the case for free speech is a profoundly philosophical one, with a very long history (stretching back to Ancient Greece) and it is not only a Western idea, either. Posner is allegedly a highly educated legal scholar so we have grounds to suspect he knows this but finds it inconvenient and thus pretends it is not so (In Posner's Brave New World can we expect it will be verboten to suggest that some public figure is, umm, being economical with the truth?) The western culture hating Posner goes on to say "As often happens, what starts out as a grudging political settlement has become, when challenged from abroad, a dogmatic principle to be imposed universally. Suddenly, the disparagement of other people and their beliefs is not an unfortunate fact but a positive good. It contributes to the 'marketplace of ideas...'" Challenged from abroad? So this guy thinks that when a raving Muslim cleric damands we decare free speech illegal and make insulting the Prophet a capital offence punishable by stoning we in Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada, Japan and other outlying farmsteads of the civilised world should simply cave in to extremist demands. There is a lot wrong with the way free speech laws are interpreted these days but the freedom to examine and criticize people and beliefs is a positive good, How else will we ever be able to separate good ideas from bad ones? How else will we be able to determine that educating little girls is far more beneficial to society than mutilating their vaginas and using ancient, outmoded marriage traditions to enslave them. There is no other way other than freedom of discussion. And government can't specify in which ideas or criticisms are and aren't permitted -- that would assume we already knew and agreed on Truth. Does this self righteous, simpering clown seriously ask us to believe that if we are allowed the freedom to think for ourselves we might decide that Nazis or other right wing fanatics are right after all." It is not right wing extremists who threaten our freedom but left wing extremists like Posner. We must never forget that hitler's political movement were the National Socialists. RELATED POSTS:

More Racism Idiocy From Football Authorities

After being found not guilty on criminal charges of racism by the law courts Chelea and former England captain John Terry now victim of a Politically Correct Thought Police witch hunt has some reason to feel aggrieved. Terry was accused by the shitty little racist coward Anton Ferdinand of using the expression "Black Cunt". Ferdinand failed to produce any impartial and reliable witnesses to this incident but as far as the Thought Police are concerned if a white man is accused by a black man then the accusation alone is proof of guilt.

John Terry banned for four matches and fined £220,000 after FA find Chelsea captain guilty over racism charge

If the football authorities are determined to get racism out of the game as they claim they are, then they must make sure that a white player accused by a cowardly black cry baby is treated fairly. The Politically Corect ethos that the word of a black person is more reliable than that of a white person and the feelings of a back person are more of worth than those of any white person must be eradicated.

It is the blacks and the lefties in the game who are the cause of racism. John Terry is just a not very bright working class lad who happens to be good at kicking a ball around. Ah but there's the rub. Lefties hate the working class.

Spend money on army not foreign aid, says former defence minister

The rumblings of discontent in the Conservative ranks grew louder yesterday following David Cameron's shameful and spineless sucking up to Obama and the United Nations general assembly by ignoring public opinion in the UK and pledging that foreign development aid will be increased.

David Cameron should divert billions of pounds spent on foreign aid to the armed forces to stop Britain losing power in the world, a former defence minister has said

Crisis In Social Care - A better way to spend development aid funds

The Independent carries a story today that reveals the epth of economic illiteracy on this country.

Britain's fragile economy is losing more than £5bn a year as a result of a growing crisis in social care funding aggravated by the Government's austerity measures.

People are giving up an estimated £4bn in pay – cash that would have been channelled back into the economy – because they are being forced to leave work to care for elderly or disabled relatives. The Treasury is also missing out on ...

And how do the people responsible for this article think we will pay for the care needed by the eldery and disabled if the carers (£55 a week allowance) abandon their charges to return to the workplace.

We would have to hire nurses and trained carers at arounf £400 a week (plus of course the ten administrative jobs each from line job in the NHS or local government generates.

With our schools and universities turning out people who can think that represents an advantage is it any wonder the country is up shit creek

Argentina Orders britain To Open Talks On The Future Of The Falklands

ARGENTINE President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner issued an order for Britain to embark on talks on the Falkland Islands. The fierce president attacked David Cameron for not being willing to enter into discussions over the future of the fought-over islands.

Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, Ms Fernandez de Kirchner said: "Next year it will be 180 years since the UK illegally usurped our Malvinas Islands.

"We reiterate this is not a bilateral issue between the UK and us, this issue has become a global issue."

Where we come from that's fighting talk. This time we should not pussyfoot around with them. One type 45 destroyers could blow hald their country away.

Cameron to ignore calls to slash Britain's foreign aid budget

Prime Minister David Cameron will restate his promise to set aside around £12 billion per year to help struggling countries overseas when he addresses the United Nations General Assembly in New York today. The Prime Minister will also call on other countries to meet the same target of spending 0.7 per cent of their national income on aid every year.

He will say "We must send a clear message to those who signed up to Millennium Development Goals that now is the time to step up and honour those promises," a press release revealed.

In a move intended to silence citics, many within his own party, Mr Cameron will insist it is not the right time to back away from helping developing countries.

The Daily Stirrer begs to differ. When the nations receiving aid from British taxpayers include China, India, Russia, Brazil and many other developing nations that are in better economic shape than Britain it is exactly the right time to stop throwing our hard earned cash at them.

Poverty tycoons who make themselves millionaires from taxpayer-funded foreign aid budget In responce to questions about Britin's overseas aid budget,David Cameron has said at the United Nations that rather than cutting aid to developing nations in these austere times UK taxpayers should be happy it is being increased. Meanwhile with her own millions safely tied up in trusts Hillary Clinton demands global wealth taxes to raise money for helping the disadvantaged.

The Slow Murder Of Democracy By Mainstream Media by Ian R Thorpe
The news industry once styled itself 'the fourth estate' and adopted the mantle of a guardian of truth and openness. Now it seems more and more news media companies serve vested interests and increasingly those working in the industry seem interested not in the fair and unbiased reporting of evends and the uncovering of truth that lies buried under blankets of political chicanery and bureaucratic obfuscation but only in advancing certain political agendas.

Eleven year olds progress to higher school unable to read, write and do sums

by Ed Butt

Around 25% of the 135,000 pupils who left primary school this summer will take with them to their higher school an inadequate grasp of the basic skills, reading, language and arithmetic. This is in contrast to a claimed sharp improvement in national results, demonstrating once more that the improvements in educational standards claimed by politicians of both sides owe more to dumbing down of standards that improved teaching methods.

Results in Sats tests taken by pupils across England show a marked improvement on standards registered in 2011, with scores in all three core subjects improving. But the figures show a sharp gender gap at the heart of the education system, with girls significantly more likely to gain Level 4 – the standard expected of all schoolchildren – than boys.

In all, 79 per cent of girls hit the target compared with 71 per cent of boys.

It was also revealed that the overall rise in standards was partly down to a decision to scrap a controversial writing exam this year.

How Much Trouble The American Economy Is In

Phil T Lucre No apologies for bringing you an item on the U.S. economy and its debt crisis today, the American economy is so much bigger than any other it's fortunes affect every other nation. So the article we link you to is worth studying because it tells us a lot about the future we all face.

Sometimes a few facts tell important stories. The American economy now is full of facts that tell stories that you really don't want, but need, to hear.

Where are we now?

Did you know that annual spending by the federal government now exceeds the 2007 level by about $1 trillion? With a slow economy, revenues are little changed. The result is an unprecedented string of federal budget deficits, $1.4 trillion in 2009, $1.3 trillion in 2010, $1.3 trillion in 2011, and another $1.2 trillion on the way this year. The four-year increase in borrowing amounts to $55,000 per U.S. household.

The amount of debt is one thing. The burden of interest payments is another. The Treasury now has ... Read full post

Brain Damaged Man Loses Disabled Living Allowance

by Ian R Thorpe

We heard today that a man who suffered severe brain damage has had his disabled living allowance cut by bureaucrats.

Naturally the neo Nazis in the media and on the left of politics are trying to blame the coalition government but I can speak from experience when I tell you this was going on under Labour too. After a brain haemorrhage left me hemiplaegic in 1997 I was iniutially awarded Disabled Living allowance then some months later, after the government had launched on of its many crackdowns on "benefit fraud" it was removed and (still paralysed, unable to walk and needing constant attendance) I was told to report to the job centre and regioster myself as looking for work.

It took several months to get my case reviewed but after I had lacerated the local batch of crimplene trouser wearing, power abusing, Labour voting little Hitlers I was asked to become a patient advocate, helping people defend themselves against the incompetence and sheer malice of public servants.

That went on for a few years then I was told if I could spend two or three hours a month helping people I could return to work full time. A medical examination confirmed I was not fit to work full or even part time so it was "recommended" that I stop acting as a patient advocate due to concerns about my health.

Readers are familiar with my attitude to the idiocies of the politically correct left. This case is just another example. Currenty to be safe from authoritarian bureaucracy a person needs to be black, asian, gay, lesbian, have learing difficulties or mentasl health problems, be an alcoholic or be obese.

Unfortunately people with real health problems like the man in the story are, in a warped way, fashion victims. As far as the lefties are concerned brain damage is so last year, identity politics is in and anyone who can satisfy the criteria to prove they are a victim is going to take priority.

The Two Sides Of Extremism

I have a recurring dream, that I awake to find my bed surrounded by large, scowling, heavy set men in black suits. They all crack their fingers in a menacing way and all of them have an unnatural looking bulge in their jackets, just under the shoulder. They will not tell me who they are or for what agency they work but only than I am accused of being guilty and must ...

The Untouchables - Anna Raccoon
We seem to have a permanent section of criminal society that is marked ‘untouchable’, a niche corner where no one is responsible for their actions, where those suitably labelled are accorded automatic victim status regardless of their part in their current imbroglio. Who ‘lives’ in the untouchable niche changes with passing fashions.
Within my lifetime, it started with women. Women could do anything a man could do – so went the mantra. That included criminal ...

Illiberal Undemocratics

by ianrthorpe
2012-09-07

– 20:15:37 The Illiberal Undemocratic Party, are poised to become as authoritarian as their neo Nazi chums in the Labour party. Following in the footsteps of the world's most powerful liberal fascist Mayor Bloomberg of New York the Illib Undems are taking up the mantle of the anti-coke war in Britain. At the upcoming party conference, the party formerly known as the Lib Dems will argue for the need for a fizzy-drink tax, presumably on the predictable grounds that it will ‘combat obesity’ while raising tax revenue. But, in reality, this is an attempt to use taxation as a means to change people’s consumption habits by imposing a sin tax.

This type of fascism (we are imposing our will on you by force to save you from your own folly)which I have previously dubbed Populist Authoritarianism is not just typical of the Lib Dems and those other "progressives" in; it is quite popular with the conservatives too, and increasingly with politicians all around the free world too. All generally seem to agree that we need high taxes on alcohol and tobacco, not to mention plastic bags.

Traditionally, the soft socialism of centre-left political parties led to a desire to subsidise via taxation the goods that people consumed daily, making them cheaper and easier to purchase. The idea was that as the rich paid most tax and some of that revenue helped poorer people to enjoy a few indulgences the greatest good of the greatest number was achieved Now however, parties like the Lib Dems are more concerned with raising the prices of certain goods in order that people make politically correct lifestyle choices i.e. the choices of people who are members of the neo fascist Liberal Democrat party.

The hypocrisy of these smug scumsuckers is nauseating.

Who We Are, How We Live

In 1981 the movie Mad Max 2, The Road Warrior seemed a far fetched vision of a post apocalypic dystopia. But how far have we travelled towards that vision of social decay and the abandonment of civilised values?

The International Elite's Contempt For National Sovereignty
The UK government's recent threat to storm the Ecuadorian embassy in London and arrest Julian Assange, displays the same degree of contempt for national sovereignty that Western nations have shown repeatedly since the end of the Cold War. Light Bulb Ban. Time To Get Incandescent With Rage
by ianrthorpe

Last weekend was your last chance to stock up with proper light bulbs, you know the ones that we switch on when we want to read after nightfall or go into the kitchen without falling over the cat or have sex with the lights on. (last chance to stock up on old fashioned lightbulbs)

Yes, thanks to those pointy headed fuckwitted sheeple who proclaim every useless technological innovation (like light bulbs that make the darkness darker) is a "great leap forward"* for humanity, we will be reduced to living like cavemen who had to sit in the dark between sunset and sunrise - you can't even light a candle unless you are smart enough to disable the smoke alarms, another infernal fuck up by people who are so clever they don't know the difference between water vapour and CO2 so these wretched gadgets kick off every time we boil a kettle.

(*The use of a phrase popularised by Chairman Mao is not a coincidence)

But say you can't afford to buy a lifetime's supply of incandescent bulbs this weekend. all is not lost. You see scientists are stupid but bureucrats who make the control freak rules to impose stupid science on us are morons. These unthinking idiots think if they make a rule we will all obey it because they themselves are too dull witted and unimaginative to ever circumvent a rule they assume we all are.

First, the case for banning incandescent lights is false, a lie.

Most incandescent bulbs convert less than 5% of the energy they use into visible light (with the remaining energy being converted into heat)"

Question; When do you turn on a light?
Answer; When it's dark.
Question: When is it mostly dark?
Answer; In the winter.
Question; When is it mostly cold?
Answer; In the winter.

So, if you remove the 95 Watts of heat that a 100 Watt light bulb produces how do you replace it? You turn up the central heating thermostat thus there is no net energy saving.

The whole issue of incandescent lights is a typical bureaucratic cock up imposed on us by the Euronazis in Brussels who would ban us from breathing if they could.

Has anyone noticed a signigicant saving on electricity bills since 100 watt bulbs were banned BTW.

Help is at hand however. If you don't fancy reading by candlelight, cowering behind the sofa from dawn to dusk hoping the sceadugengan don't get you or falling over the cat every tiime you are groping your way back from the kitchen with a cup of hot tea in your hand, buy ROUGH USE LIGHTBULBS (from linked site or check my search listing fo other contacts)

We can beat the buggers because we are intelligent and resourceful. And they are Cupid Stunts
