Rip Off Britain: Insurance Firms Inflate Car Insurance Premiums

by Phil T Luker

The presidentof the AA has said 'greedy' insurance companies are inflating premiums to unjustifiable levels and ripping of car owners. Edmund King, President of the Automobile Association, told news reporters he hopes OFT and Competition Commission inquiries into the way insurance companies set motor insurance premiums will bring the cost of insurance down to "a rate that safe, responsible drivers can afford."

Drivers are paying £225m extra a year for car insurance because insurers are inflating costs for repairs and hire vehicles, the Office of Fair Trading said as it announced its intention to refer the market to the Competition Commission.

Motor insurance premiums rose by 12% between 2009 and 2010, and by a further 9% in the first three quarters of 2011, according to OFT statistics.

It has now concluded that a large part of that increase is down to insurers inflating the costs of providing replacement vehicles to not-at-fault drivers following an accident. In some cases the cost of these is more than £1,000 above the going rate.

We have witnessed too many instances of the insurance industry defrauding customers over several decades now. Car insurance rip off are morally the most reprehensible however because motorists are required by law to have insurance, the only alternatives being to choose not to drive or to risk being charged with a criminal offence by driving without insurance. Thus because a car is a necessity for most families and many commuters car insurance rip offs are not avoidable as life insurance and home insurance can be avoided by accepting the risk oneself.

The insurance firms have long been the worst crooks in the financial services industry, it is time the government put them in their place on this as they have had to in the past on fraudulent claims about the performance of investments, the sale of dodgy endowment mortgages and the notorious PPI (Payment Protection Insurance) a scam in which conditions in the small print excluded most people from cover but only those who claimed found out they were not elegible for the insurance. Others paid the full premium for the term of their credit agreement but were never covered.

The Folly Of Trying To Inflate Away Debt
As the debt crisis grinds on and the creit crunch mutates into the credit famine the clueless politicians and even more clueless economists and academics who advise them can only think of one course of action. That is to inflate away their debt problem by devaluing currency to the extent at whic a bag of potatoes or wheat grain costs $£€ 1 trillion. High Court Says Government's Green Energy OCD Does Not Override Natural Beauty

by Xavier Connolly

The Government feels compelled to boost the amount of energy from renewables as part of climate change targets imposed by Europe because of pledges that have no basis in law that were given by a previous government to the smooth faced unelected bureaucrats, the internationalist Nazis whose agenda aims to create a single European superstate as a stepping stone towards the establishment of a totalitarian global government.run by elitist academics, financiers and politicians.

To met the targets Labour under the crooks Blair and Brown we will have to more than double the amount of energy from onshore wind over the next ten years and build at least another 5,000 wind turbines onshore. And these estimates come from lunatic scientists who are so insane they believe they can command the wind to blow consistently, 24 hours a day, 365 days a years (that might be a bit of an exaggeration but you know what I I getting at.)

Sea Land and Power Ltd argued that a proposed giant wind farm near Gt Yarmouth would help to meet these targets. Justice Laing however said the target cannot take precedence over natural beauty. In a judgment handed down at the Administrative Court she backed both the local councils and conservation groups in rejecting the plans.

"As a matter of law it is not correct to assert that the national policy promoting the use of renewable resources ... negates the local landscape policies or must be given 'primacy' over them,” she said.

Both Great Yarmouth Borough Council and a Government Planning Inspector recommend rejecting the wind farm, finding that further turbines in the area would threaten its character and natural beauty.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) expressed concerns about the potential impact of the wind turbines on important local populations of pink footed geese and marsh harriers, although the charity later withdrew its objections. Most of us view a few dead birds as collateral damage but unlike the besotted scientists and addle brained politicians we are aware that if the wind does not blow at a consistent speed within a very narrow window (27mph to 50 mph) the wind turbines are not able to generate. And because we cannot ever hope to control the wind the scientists' bong dreams* are totally unrealistic and we would need to keep our fossil fuelled and nuclear generating plants going as back up for inefficient, unreliable wind power.

Mrs Justice Lang backed the objections in a vital ruling for the hundreds of contested wind farms around the country. Despite recognising the benefits of wind generated power, she said the inspector was entitled to her view that they were, in this case, outweighed by the "material harm" the development would cause to the "character and appearance" of a sensitive area. Right, well that's good but it does not go far enough. Wind Turbines are not a realistic method of meeting future energy needs though they are a reliable means for enabling unscrupulous con artists to rob the tax payers and future developments should be banned.

"This is simply a case of policies pulling in different directions: harm to landscape and the benefits of renewable energy. The inspector was required to have regard to both sets of policies and to undertake a balancing exercise".

In its planning application, Sea & Land argued the 105m-high turbines, along with supporting infrastructure, would supply power to more than 5,000 homes. Previously judges have cited the Government’s target to generate 15 per cent of renewable energy from renewables by 2020 as a reason for giving the go-ahead to wind farms so despite a bit of mealy - mouthed equivocation from the judge this is a step in the right direction. It is rare to see common sense being deployed against the egomaniacal ravings of the climate change lobby .

In a recent a, act of environmental vandalism The Planning Inspectorate gave permission to a wind farm near a 16th Century Manor Lyveden New Bield in Northamptonshire, despite protests from the National Trust and English Heritage, because of the national need for "clean energy". A spokesman for the Campaign to Protect Rural England said the recent ruling reversed this trend. He pointed out that new planning rules insist the intrinsic value of the countryside has to be considered in any planning decision – so this kind of ruling could happen more often.

We must stop these sociopathic scientists now. These crazy loons will not be satisfied until they have destroyed life on earth for no better reason that to show how clever they are.

Wind farms are based on junk science to and no more should be built and in Britain (other countries may do as they think fit. The countryside is being ruined for nothing as wind turbines contribute little to the grid. If we carry on with this policy instead of replacing obsolete coal and oil fired plants with nuclear power stations we will run out of electricity within a few years.

Earth science in the meantime is being insidiously destroyed : climatology, ecology, weather, atmospheric chemistry, even environmentalism itself. Science is being emasculated,: energy is the basis of technology; it is neither 'clean' nor 'green'. Politicians talk of "clean energy " is nonsense, all energy has an environmental cost and those that exploit sustainable sources such as sun and wind often require the most carbon intensive manufacturing processes.

There was nothing wrong, up to about 25 years ago, in power stations being fuelled by COAL, still the cheapest and best form of electricity generation. At the time of the miners' dispute in the early 80s Miners' Union leader Arthur Scargill was saying that we have only used up about 10% of our coal reserves. There is also abundant coal also in the USA, another nation afflicted by politically correct politics. In his famous 'malaise' talk on tv (which was basically about energy supplies), Jimmy Carter also said that - to cut back on oil imports - more energy could be generated from coal.

But since then the astonishingly aggressive elitist assault on fossil fuels has meant that no western power will now use coal, and by logical extension gas or oil (all fossil fuels). We are all heading for serious energy shortfalls and high manufacturing costs in the future, because even nuclear power is being heavily challenged by political activists. China and Russia meanwhile are gleefully rubbing their hands as they anticipate the demise of the western hegemony.

A study of the social, cultural and political factors that have led to this bizarre situation would be worthy of a Ph.D although the academic world too is controlled by politically correct thinkers who cannot distinguish between scientific research and the bong dreams* of hippy fantasists.. It is a collective madness that is very difficult to understand, especially as it has happened in advanced literate western societies. .

The West may never recover from this madness !

Silly Tory Minister Says Only Silly People And Extremists Want Referendum On EU Membership

by Waddac Hunt

A referendum on Britain’s relationship with the European Union would be “silly” and is only of interest to “a few extreme nationalist politicians,” Kenneth , the Justice Minister, silly of twat and extremist supporter of a single European superstate has said.

The Justice Secretary launched a sustained attack on advocates of a popular vote on Europe, which he described as “a total irrelevance” that would create turmoil and undermine Britain’s economic credibility. Hmm. And bunging £50 million a day into this bureaucratic cash eating machine does not damage our credibility? I see.

Frenzied Europhile Clarke dismissed those seeking a referendum as “frenzied eurosceptics”. A longstanding supporter of the EU, made the comments amid growing pressure from Conservative MPs for the Government to take a harder line on European issues.

Some Conservative MPs are arguing that a Greek exit from the euro should trigger a vote on Britain’s relationship with the EU. Some ministers are urging David Cameron to take a more eurosceptic line to address a recent fall in the Government’s popularity.

Mr Clarke dismissed those suggestions as irresponsible. What a moron, this smug, bloated Bilderberger insults our intrelligence.

The Europhiles and One Weorlders are really crazy. They just cannot see the Euro has failed, the EU which worked fine when it was the Common Market - a simple free trade area, before the Brussels bureaucrats set off on their world domination campaign and started talking about taking terrorist states like Turkey and Syria and failed states like Ukraine into a conmmunity of hihly developed nations, before they started talking about a single European government and harmonisation of law, finance, foreign policy and such, before they became obsessed with the ultimate fuckwittery, muticulturalism.

Since those bureaucrats, those smooth faced deal makers, those scum sucking spawn of a pox whore's scab lice decided to usurp the democratically elected governments of member nations it has all gone pear shaped. Politicians who believe such neo Nazi notions are a good idea (and this would include Cameron, Clegg, Ed Miliband, most of the government and most of the Labour opposition should be rounded up, given a show fair trial, found guilty of treason and after a suitable period we should see their heasds displayed on pikes outside the Palace of Westminster.

The Brave Class Warriors Of UK Uncut

by Ian R Thorpe

Simon Hope is working-class hero. Who says? Well, he does for a start. Not that Simon is working class himself He is one of the exclusively middle class denizens of the UK Uncut movement which protests against the goverrnment's austerity programme and policy of cuts to public spending, although no cuts have actually been made yet though the rate of increase in public spending has been slowed.

UK Uncut are people who have decided to carry fighting the class wars of the past on behalf of the "poor" who cannot be arsed fighting any more or have decided that if being better off involves piling up a mountain of personal debt and possibly having you kids end up like members of UK Uncut maybe affluence is not all it is cracked up to be. Last Saturday Simon Hope decided it would be a fun day out for his four-year-old daughter if he took her on a protest outside Nick Clegg’s house. Yes, Simon. We can see that every 4 year old's idea of fun is to go on a political protest, wave placards, chant Trotskyite mantras and sing revolutionary songs. And it might be a formative experience for the child. Barack Obama wrote in his book Dreams From My Father that he clearly remembers Pappy Bammy taking his beloved son to a civil right protest that took place several months before Obama could have been conceived. These protests are experiences that make a powerful impression on the young.

Simon and his daughter had about 300 of their friends with them from the UK Uncut protest movement. All were exactly as self righteous and pompous as Simon, all were equally sure they were serving the interests of the great mass of people who "have no voice" although they can shout loudly enough when their team is winning a football match.

The protest was a bit pointless as Nick Clegg and his family were not at home. UK Uncut weren’t just protesting of course, they were having a “family-friendly street party”. It involved music (of a political nature), poetry (of a political nature), comedy (of a political nature), games (spot the Tory, pin the tail on the class traitor, blind person's benefit claim), and the most essential component of all street parties, a people’s assembly to discuss the alternatives to austerity.

Family friendly though? Does family friendly fun require the attendance of scores of plain-clothed or uniformed (and possibly armed) police officers? Well better that the cops were helping friendly families to have fun at a street party than sitting around drinking tea down the sstation. I mean it's not as if there are and murderers, rapists, robbers, muggers or fraudsters out there who need to be banged up is it?

Of course, everything UK Uncut was did was entirely legal, after all many of them are sons and daughters of lefty lawyers. Or it would be legal if you ignore the blockading of a quiet, suburban street without obtaining permission from the council or the consent of residents. The organisers of the UK Uncut protest have a bizarre idea of what is family fun is if their think the residents of the street found it fun to be blockaded into their homes.

The protestors' press release actually describes the event as a “secret plan” (a secret plan announced in a press release? What kind of secret is that? A caring, sharing secret I suppose.). For another, the plan involved a "clandestine (sic) rendezvous at 11.30am, in which “four groups of hundreds of people would come from different meeting points across London, before converging on Waterloo”.

Now call me oldfashioned if you like possums, but if you have a street party it's a good idea to make sure local residents of the street you're holding the party in actually want the poetry, songs, games and comedy of a political nature, the people's assembly to discuss the alternatives to democracy, don’t you? To be sure they actually want all this joyous and carefree carousing, this modern Bacchanal going on in their street. I mean, to just descend on them mob handed from four different meeting points across London seems a bit inconsiderate.

Nick Clegg probably wouldn't have wanted it if he had been at home for the weekend, according to UK Uncut he’s the “architect of austerity” and so must be a Scrooge like figure who steals children's sweets and says Bah! Humbug! a lot. Even worse he’s “a millionaire and lives in a million-pound home” according to one protester. Oh well, he's obviously Belzebub, Cthuhu and Iggy The barebum Firebobby all rolled into one then.

But what about the other people who live in that street? Well screw them. goes the UK Uncut official line. They probably live in million-pound homes too, right? But at any rate these are family homes occupied by professionals so the man of the house is not likely to be hard is he? I mean it's not as if the street is in The North or Scotland. The wives are not likely to be as fearsome as Vera Duckworth either although thry might be intimidating in a Hyacinth Bucket sort of way. And the kids will not be chavs who might torch a protestors trousers for a laugh but well mannered, privately educated children who have been taught to despise themselves because they are not black and growing up in a famine stricken African village.

So the class warriors of UK Uncut can parade their moral certainties safe in knowledge that nobody will try to shift the debate to a language that would be understood in Oldham, Bradford, Byker or Easterhouse. It's easy to be hard when you know you'll only face softlads and mollycoddled children. Well done UK Uncut, you patronising middle class bastards.

To Save Civlisation Creativity Must Triumph Over Conformity

The Daily Stirrer contributors have long argued that the baying pack of science fans all screaming that science and science alone has all the answers to our current crop of problems are barking up the wrong tree. We contend that not only does science not have the answers, scientists don't even understand the question.

For quite a long time it felt as if we were talking into the void but more and more we see other people are getting the message too. Science is not the answer, it is the problem.

To get out of the mess we are in we need to look at our situation from a completely different perspective and understand that technological advances are not the same thing as progress.

Creativity Must Triumph Over Conformity

In this article Bruce Elkin argues that to save civilisation creativity must triumph over conformity. We must kick our addiction to consumption, rediscover the things that are really important and use the unique abilities of humans to create a society in which fullfillment is the goal rather than wealth and power. In other words we must redefine what we mean by success.

Cameron Furious At EU Plan To Tax The City

by Phil T Luker

David Cameron totally lost his rag at the EU summit after European Union leaders tried to back him into a corner and bully him into agreeing to a new tax on City deals during last night's Brussels summit. The Prime Minister made clear his anger after other EU leaders tried to persuade the UK again to agree to a financial transactions tax, saying it will hit people's pensions and lose "many, many jobs".

It has been known fo9r ab long time that the scumsucking, crypto Marxist spawn of a pox whore's scab lice who run the EU have seethed with rage at the fact that so long as Britain remains one of the world's great financial centres britain will always be a world economic powert in its own right. The Bureau (c)rats like von Rompuy - Pumpy, Josef Stalin Barroso and others who run the EU are insane, power addicted world domiation freaks and want to replace the ancient sovereign nations of Europe with a federal superstate run by unelected bureaucrats so their latest move aimed at driving Britain down the same road as basket case nations like Greece, Portugal and Spain should come as no surprise.

Cameron said the six hour meeting, which broke up in the early hours of this morning, was "good" with some "innovative ideas" about boosting growth in Europe. He added: "Then there were some bad ideas too. The Financial Transactions Tax is a bad idea - it will put up the cost of people's insurance, put up the cost of people's pensions, it will cost many, many jobs. It will make Europe less competitive and I will fight it all the way."

Actually Dave it would put up the cost of everything. I'm no fan of bankers but having worked in The City (on information technology systems) I know that the proposed tax would destroy the finance industry. Banks trade is currency, commodity stocks and company shares works on tiny margins. A half of one per cent (the proposed level of tax) is more than the profit on many types of deal. This may seem a crazy way to do business until you work out what half a per cent of a billion is. Not a bad profit or a days work.

Now the bureau(c)rats delude themselves that if London's financial industry is destroyed conctrol of banking an commerce will pass to them. The control freaks are not bright enough to work out that while British (and other European economies) would suffer, the banks would not. I happen to know that several major investment banks are already prepared to relocate to jurisdictions outside the EU, so this loonytooons control freakery would actually damage Europe and benefit places like Saudi Arabia, Quatar, Dubai and Hong Kong wich already have lax regulatory systems and traditional tax havens.

The fact that the Tobin tax was pushed again, means it is likely to be a main agenda item at the formal EU summit next month, raising the real prospect of further rows and a lack of progress on talks about what to do about Greece. But then it has never been about Greece, it was always about control.

The meeting of 27 EU leaders came at the end of a day when markets tumbled across Europe on fears that an exit for Greece from the euro was being prepared. We are all aware that Greece cannot continue in the Euro and keeping it in only makes things worse.

Deputy Prime Wuss Nick Clegg tried to calm nerves by issuing comments, embargoed til this morning, dismissing talk that “a Greek exit now would be in everyone’s best interests”. In comments that will spark anger among Tory right wingers, he will say in a speech in Berlin today: “No rational person interested in the wealth and wellbeing of Europe’s citizens could advocate taking such a risk: not with Greece’s future, or our own. My own view is that that wildly underestimates the unpredictable, irrevocable damage that could be done to a monetary union when it is shown not to be permanent.”

Mr Clegg describes a “dark cloud still hangs over Europe”, warning that “the tree is falling, and we are pruning one leaf at a time”. He really has lost the plot hasn't he?

Why Do Supermarket Tomatoes Taste Like Water The Daily Telegraph
The mystery of why supermarket tomatoes smell delicious but taste watery and bland has been explained by scientists.Tomatoes gain their flavour from a combination of sugars, acids and aromas, but a new study has examined exactly how different elements influence their taste. Commercial tomato growers have traditionally focused on producing varieties with strong "aroma volatiles", compounds which easily vaporise and release fragrant molecules into the air.

It was thought that as well as enticing shoppers with their pleasant smell, the tomatoes with high quantities of these compounds might also taste the sweetest. But a study suggests that most of the volatiles which occur most commonly in tomatoes contribute very little to how much people enjoy them.

In contrast rarer volatiles which are naturally present in some home-grown tomatoes can have a major impact on the sweetness of the fruit, according to a paper published in the Current Biology journal. The European Court Of Human Rights - A Millstone Round Britain's Neck

by Ian R Thorpe

The E.U. in general is a major pain in the arse for Britain, what with Vince Cable saying we cannot throw out the European employment law that prevents employers sacking useless and disruptive workers, a law imposed on us by faceless and unelected bureaucrats; the European leaders demanding more and more money from us to prop up the basket case nations of the Eurozone and of course the pernicious and racist human rights laws of the E.U.

"Racist?" You say in amazement. "How so?"

Simply because although the founding principle of the E.U. declares that all the animals are equal, European Human Rights law, as administered by the European Court of Human Rights make some animals more equal than others.

In the latest incursion into the Britain's sovereign law making process the ECHR has decreed that prisoners in UK jails must be given the right to vote. Following a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights we are denying crims and arseholes their human rights by refusing to let them vote in elections. Under the British constitution the right to vote is extended to adults of good standing (i.e. not in prison for violating other peoples' human rights by killing or injuring them of stealing their stuff.) If our government comply with this ruling, it will do so in the face of huge parliamentary and public opposition, with MPs voting against such a measure by 243 to 22 last February.

Of course a few professional do - gooders and bleeding hearts from the stupid wings of Labour and the Lib Dems will support it as they will always unthinkingly support any proposal which claims to defend the "human rights" of society's dregs, the scallies, no marks, scroungers, work dodgers, benefit cheats, arseholes, dickheads, fuckwits and general bastards.

This is an appalling ruling and entirely from a supranational court in Strasbourg that does not possess an ounce of democratic credibility but has usurped to itself the right to trample sovereign powers underfoot . Americans, Australians and Canadians would never accept the judgment of a foreign court over their own domestic affairs, and nor should the British people. It is simply absurd that a great nation that has done more to advance the cause of liberty and freedom across the world than any other in Europe is subjecting itself to the decisions of a court that includes judges from Azerbaijan, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, hardly countries with a sterling human rights record.

Before the last general election, then Shadow Justice Secretary Dominic Grieve rejected what he described as “a degree of deference to Strasbourg” and stated quite clearly that Britain would reserve the right to ignore European human rights rulings. This would be a good moment for the Attorney General to follow through with his pre-election pledge, and kick into touch the idea that Strasbourg has the right to dictate British law. The British government should unequivocally reject this ruling from the European Court. It should also amend Harriet Harperson's politically correct and totally unjust Human Rights Act to end the right of appeal to the ECHR, with a view to ending its incorporation into British law altogether. Now is a good time to remind readers that the Labour Deputy leader's bill contained a clause that robs straight, white people of the right to a defence if they are accused of racism Labour's idea of justice was that if a black or brown person feels anything said to them was racist then the person accused is guilty. Same with gays and lesbians; if a homosexual feels they have been insulted then the person they accuse is guilty. No defence is allowed.

This really takes us back to the justice of medieval witch hunts.

There is no valid reason why British courts should be subject to the decisions of European judges, who have little understanding of the British national interest, and whose idea of “Human rights” is often very different to that of their British counterparts. On previous occasions the European Court has acted as a major hindrance to the UK’s national security and as I write is providing a screen behind which the Islamic hate preacher Abu Qatada is hiding from deportation. Too often the ECHR has provided a last line of defence for Islamist terrorists fighting extradition or deportation. As former US Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton put it in an interview with The Daily Telegraph's Ed West last month: does Britain wish to be a sovereign country or not?

Britain should renounce the jurisdiction of this court as we should any other attempt to rule us from Brussels. The people who run the EU are unelected bureaucrats and have made the Union an organisation that is hostile to democracy As for their competence to manage national affairs we only have to look at the ongoing crisis of the single currency to understand they might be great at form filling, paper shuffling and having meetings but when it comes to management skills they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. In the end the question is, what do British people want to do? Do you want to be an independent nation, or do you want to be a province of Federal Europe?

This is just another example of Britain’s mistake in allowing Europe's bureaucratic institutions to extend their reach into national affairs . It is the latest in a long line of infringements on British sovereignty that undercuts our ability to cooperate with the United States a.nd our natural friends and allies in the Commonwealth.

It also calls into question the ability of Europe as a whole to be an effective partner in the war against terrorism just as it has proved to be in managing the regional economic interests.

Let's get out ASAP, vote UKIP..

If We Want Social Mobility We Need Selective Education

by Xavier Connolly Every so often the question of social mobility is raised and when it does come up then inevitably the question of selective education follows on it's heels. It is entirely typical of the hypocrisy and politically correct stupidity of the left that while they bemoan the fact that the social mobility (mostly upward from working class to middle class or from "the great unwashed" to the "aspirational working class" which occurred in the 1950s, 60s and 70s has all but disappeared while simultaneously throwing the mother of all hissy fits ate the mere mention of the thing that made such social mobility possible, selective entry to grammar schools.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg yesterday gave a speech on social mobility that was both bizarre and irrational. and contained quite a lot of Trotskyite bollocks. Here's an example:. "The Coalition Government is constructing a new architecture for policy-making that is centred on social mobility. A machinery for mobility." WTF? Even Clegg does not know what that means but her knows it is something to do with the social engineering the Lib Dems, Labour and the Conservative hold dear.

There is no doubt the Deputy Prime Minister's heart is in the right place, unfortunately his brain is somewhere up his arsehole. I'm sure, when he says that he wants children from poorer backgrounds to get on in the world he genuinely thinks he means it. But maybe, just maybe the Westminster-educated son of a banker is not quite the right person to be talking bollocks about equality. Wouldn't it be lovely if we lived in a perfect world and everybody had the privileges Nick Clegg, David Cameron and, yes, Ed Miliband too (because like his coalition opponents the Labour leader is a privately educated elitist*) have enjoyed. Then we could all join hands and sing Kumbaya and live in peace and plenty ever after. But unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world and will not restore social mobility while Clegg and his ilk will not countenance offering bright children from modest and disadvantaged backgrounds the kind of education from which he benefited.

These elitists obviously have no problem believing selective education on the basis of wealth or connections is OK for the children of stockbrokers, bankers and Marxist University Selection by being the sdon of an academic was OK for Ed Miliband. Selection by ability tp pay to go to a top school was okay for David Cameron, George Osborne, Nick Clegg and Education Secretary Michael Gove but it is not suitable for the boy or girl unlucky enough to have lost the lottery of life by being born in Moss Side, Tottenham, or Easterhouse.

If we want to recapture that extraordinary, brief, post-war flowering of social mobility when the grammar-school boys and girls like me and fatsally emerged to scale the heights of the professions, academia, the civil service, business and the media – greater selection in schools is going to have to be one of the weapons in our armoury. but while that should be a no brainer for anyone with a grain of common sense, it seems beyond the imagination of Nick Clegg and Co. who believe the way to restore that mobility is to dumb down education in the state system until even University graduated have problems with basic English and Arithmetic and to ensure no child is left behind by hamstringing the front runners.

Until it is grasped by guilt-ridden middle-class liberals, often educated privately or in good state schools which their parents accessed by moving to a nice, expensive area, that selection has a part to play and that poor people are not all victims of the system, totally unable to fend for themselves, who need to be carried through life by Nanny State, social mobility will continue to flat-line. And when my younger sister's generation of Grammar School kids are gone we are likely to be back to the situation that prevailed in Shakespeare's lifetime, when only ten per cent of the population could read properly. Because the only way of achieving the kind of equality elitists like Nick Clegg crave is by levelling down.

*Ede Miliband was actually educated for part of his school career at a state school, Haverstock Comprehensive in an expensive area of north London. Haverstock has a policy of teaching brighter pupils or those from better homes separately from the local chavs. The rest of the time he was educated privately while the family wwere abroad when his father was a vsiting lecturer. He also had private tuition to perpare him for the Oxford University entrance exam.

Electricity bills set to rise to pay for wind farm subsidies

by Xavier Connolly

We told you so. Household electricity bills will have to rise by up to a quarter to pay for underperformance by wind farms and other forms of renewable energy, according to a new report. The study challenges the Government claims that energy bills would fall in the next eight years due to "free" electricity from wind solar and other unfeasible science fiction sources coming online and also because of energy efficiency savings.

The Coalition government which was relying on the savings to offset the price increases caused by renewable energy subsidies. Those extra costs are added on to household bills in the form of consumer subsidies. This week the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) will publish its draft energy bill, setting out how it plans to reform the electricity market and reduce the cost to households. Thus the government is doomed. The only problem is the imbeciles of the Labour party are just as besatooted with the unrealistic claims of scientists as the Tories and Lib Dems so a new government would continue along the same road to catastrophe as wasa trodden by the Tories and Lib Dems and the Labour government before them.

Intent on showing how stupid politicians and their scientific advisers are, DECC has insisted that energy bills will begin to fall from next year and will be reduced by seven per cent - or £94 - by 2020 because of new energy efficiency policies. These include the Green Deal, which will provide loans to fund loft and wall insulation; the roll-out of 'smart’ meters to help control and monitor energy consumption; and the improvement in the energy efficiency of kettles and other appliances.

But a study of the Government’s own figures by the Renewable Energy Forum (REF), a specialist renewable energy consultancy, has accused DECC oflying through their teeth deliberately misleading the public.

REF claims its analysis of the Government figures shows that two-thirds of households, about 17 million in all, will end up worse off as a result of green energy policies even if energy efficiency targets were to be met in full. Given the track record of the indusytry that is unlikely to happen.

In a 54-page report published today (Monday 21 May 2012), REF will conclude: “DECC has made unrealistic assumptions about the use of energy efficiency measures to offset the costs to households, but even on those optimistic assumptions 65 per cent of households will still be net losers. The report states “In fact there is every reason to suppose that the efficiency measures will not live up to these expectations and that costs have been understated.”

Now it is time for voters to ask is it right that consumers should pick up the tab foir this stupid, reckless and environmentally damaging experiment in scientific fuckwittery. It does not take a genius to work out that when there is no wind a wind driven turbine cannot generate electricity. The bigger picture is more complex than that however, and more damning for the scientists and technologists who promoted this scam and for the politicians who embraced it so enthusiastically. It is not just a simple eind / no wind calculation, there has to be enough wind and for the 400 ft plus mosters that we're told are the only commercialy viable generating machines that is quite a lot of wind. Then is there is too much wind the turbines overheat so if it is really windy they have to be shut down. And they they do not like cold weather which damages the generating gubbins so in cold weather they have to be heated with electricity from the grid.

Facebooks Stockmarket Launch Fizzles Out

by Phil T Luker

An old colleague who is a markets analyst analyst in the City of London, told me last night that Facebook’s shares which shot up as soon as trading in them opened and then almost as quickly fell back because they were implausibly priced given the company does not really have a business plan, relying for income on shoving more and more advertising down users throats and has a ridiculous p / e ratio of 150 : 1 Because of these factors he said, stockbrokers and investment managers were cautioning institutional clients against putting money into a company that could easily become and investment bubble.

Such recommendations came thick and fast less than 24 hours after Facebook’s stock market debut which saw its shares end the day just 23 cents higher than its float price, at $38.23, valuing the company at $104.2bn. What's wrong with that? It's insane, that's what is wrong with it Here's why it is crazy. Normally, an investor would hope to earn at least 5 per cent on an investment – ideally more, since historically, you can earn that just buying Government bonds or plonking your money in a deposit account. So for a company to be worth $104 billion, you would hope for at least $5 billion a year of profit. Really, to justify the risk of owning shares (the value of which can go down as well as up - but more likely down), you'd want more – $10 billion. In perpetuity. Every year. Sine die. Forever.

But Facebook's revenue is currently just $3.7 billion, and its profit is around $500 million per year. So the website is making less than one tenth of the profit you would hope it to earn in the long run

The Facebook launch was hyped beyond reason for months with hysterical tech heads deluding themselves that Facebook's only product, the information it steals from users and sells to advertisers purportedly to enable them to target users with personalised advertising was a money making perpetual motion engine.

Most of the advances in web technology in the past ten years have been driven by the belief that web based advertising would be a bottomless well of money into which anybody with the know how to cobble together a simple HTML page would be able to dip into at will. In fact web users have developed a level of ad - blindness that makes web advertising almost totally ineffective. And with the intrusions into our privacy by companies like Google and Facebook becoming increasingly creepy and offensive that is only going to get worse.

Transaction filings after the market closed on Friday night revealed the extent to which the banks who led Facebook’s initial public offering - in which $16bn of shares were sold to new investors - were forced to move in to the market and buy shares in order to keep the price above the $38 level. Morgan Stanley, Facebook’s lead financial adviser, ended the day with 162m shares, worth $6.16bn. Other banks including JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs also bought shares, ending the day with $3.2bn and $2.4bn holdings respectively.

In short, after stealing $16bn form novice investors, most likely tech heads who believed the hype so it's difficult to have any sympathy for them, Facebook's shares took a massive hit. Quite right too. Zuckerberg and Co are a bunch of dysfunctional arseholes, solipsists who believe the fact that they can do something makes it OK for them to do it. They should have been declared not fit and proper people to run a public company. If competent businessmen had been brought in to oversee the launch it would never have happened.

The ‘sell’ recommendations to investors will make Facebook’s stock market handlers even more nervous ahead of the resumption of trading on New York’s Nasdaq exchange on Monday morning.

“While we like the company, we’re troubled by investors’ perception of the risks,” one investment manager said. “It’s priced for perfection and that’s clearly implausible.”

Well Zuckerberg and his stupid little buddies do not think so and therein lies the problem. These are people who believe that computers think intelligently like humans, that software can me the master of the world and that those who control the information control the past, present and future. In short they are fools besotted by technology. Thus they are doomed to fail.

Despite amassing more than 900m users and tripling its profits to $1bn (632bn pounds) over the last three years, Facebook now faces the challenge of squeezing more advertising from the site without angering the users that are its chief asset. The need that Facebook will have to make further acquisitions, and a still unproven advertising model are two of the reasons why many analysts think Facebook shares are worth just $30 each. In the long run even that is likely to prove unrealistic.

Anybody thinking of putting a sizeable chunk of their hard - earned into Facebook should learn from the MySpace experience. In 2005, Rupert Murdoch made one of his greatest business mistakes: the media mogul bought MySpace for $580 million. Until 2008, MySpace was the world's most visited website, and until 2009, America's, pulling in 70 million unique US users a month. And then all of a sudden, it died, as users fled. Despite being profitable in 2005, by 2010, the website was losing money at a rate of $180 million a year. News Corporation was so desperate to get rid of it that it sold for just $35 million. Now MySpace pootles along just about where a social network should be, irrelevant but mildly amusing for the terminally bored.

The reason why MySpace died was simple: its users migrated to Facebook, which had a cleaner user interface and fewer adverts. What potential investors should learn from this is that Zuckerberg and Co are so arrogant, so afflicted with hubris they do not learn from the past, thus in the belief that users were gullible enough to fall for "targeted ads Facebook have saddled them selves with a user interface that is about as attractive as a dogs arse and a reputation for treating users privacy concerns with contempt.

But let's cut through the Facebook hype. How many of those 900 million usrs are real. Well knock off a third for duplicate and abandoned accounts Then there are so many people like me, we probably count as "regular users", but only log in to check messages once a week maybe.. Because I have websites I use the "share on facebook button" to post notifications of new posts but this is not really logging in. More and more people access Facebook through mobile phone and PDO apps which filter out the ads. Facebook does not give users a blog feature or let them post their creative work, it has never been much more than an electronic address book and photo sharing site. That's why big advertisers, like GM, are reducing their spend on the company.

And who is in control of this revenue-less, glorified address book? A Harvard nerd who is barely out of short trousers and has the most punchable face in the world, whose last big decision was to blow $1 billion on a photo sharing website few people have signed up to because the world needs another photo sharing site like you and I need another hole in our arses. When I say Zuvkerberg is in charge it may come as a shock to many tech - heads to learn that the shares being now sold to investors have no voting rights attached. You may own the shares but Mr. Zuckerberg controls the company and he can do as he pleases with your money. And when Zuckerberg founded his plaything it was not intended to be a business that made money.

Facebook has no valuable real assets, no product to sell or distribution networks which can be sold on should the -ahem, business model - fail. It's nothing but a bunch of servers in California and an egomaniac CEO. And increasingly, it is boring. Even as it spreads to Brazil and China, it's being abandoned by the western college students who made it. Honestly, I would sooner invest in Greek government debt. Or MySpace.

Parenting Classes Are Not Nanny State - They're Worse

by Ian R Thorpe

Describing vouchers for parenting classes in England as a "nanny state" policy is "nonsense", David Cameron has said, defending another nonsensical policy aimed at extending the ability of a Orwellian Big Brother regime to reach into the private lives of citizens and control behaviour. The "parenting" (and who the fuck uses words like "parenting" except neo - Nazi public servants?) classes will be aimed at destroying family traditions and imposing uniformity so that future generations of children will be dead eyed little automatons programmed like Pavlov's dogs to obey commands from agents of the state.

Those with children aged up to five can get a £100 voucher towards parenting classes. The government has also announced a new NHS online information service for parents of very young children.

Labour said it had an "open mind" about the scheme (well they would, wouldn't they, it was their idea in the first place) but it needed to be "value for money" and reach a "wide range of parents".

Defending the policy, David Cameron said: "I think this whole debate about nanny state is nonsense. Parents want help. It is in our interest as a society to help people bring up their children."

How do we know this is a crap policy? Well Cameron supports it for one thing ... and ... if people are all such crap parents that we need help from Nanny State to look after our kids how come any of us are alive because no such help was available in the past. And how do dogs, cats and other animals go on?

The last people anyone neeeds to help with bringing up kids is the government. To quote Ronald Reagan, "The most dreded words in the English language are: I'm from the government, I'm here to help."

If the government is serious about wanting to help young parents it could contribute by teaching pupils in state schools to read properly then they would be able to follow instructions on packs of disposable nappies and milk formula.

Like the kerfuffle over same sex marriage this latest focus on parenting and childcare is a diversion from "big issues" like the flood of upshitcreekness the world is drowning in. If people cannot bring up kins without help from "parenting experts" who have never had kids themselves but have spent years in toytown universities getting their PhDees in "Parenting skills with origami" which makes them far more knowledgeable than mothers who have brought up two or three children of their own and are more than willing to pass on their knowledge to their daughters.

But in the Lab Lib Concensus bureaucratic dictatorship mothers who help their daughters are about as welcome as parents who teach their kinds to read and do sums properly. Such people are enemies of the control freak state and its tax eating servants.

For new mothers in the past help was also available from big sisters, aunts, neighbours and as a last resort, if the problem was really serious, the District Nurse. Nowadays "community" nurses are too busy with form filling and bean counting to be available to offer advice.

G8 Leaders Will Talk About Reducing The Price Of Oil

by Ed Butt

Leaders of major economic powers including David Cameron will arrive today at a G8 summit in the USA on the back of promises to help families "struggling with the impact of oil prices." The summit, at the Camp David presidential retreat, will tomorrow discuss a US call for developed economies to release oil from their strategic reserves to try to bring down world oil prices. The White House is arguing that a European Union embargo on Iranian oil will soon start to push up prices, a potential threat to Mr Obama's reelection campaign.

"With families across the world struggling with the impact of oil prices and a fragile global economy, we must renew our joint efforts to support growth, financial stability and energy security," Mr Cameron writes in an article published today.

In a newspaper article today, Mr Cameron will hint at plan to deplete oil reserves which will reduce prices temporarily but make the developed nations more vulnerable to oil exporting nations, many of which are hostile to the west, holding us to ransome in future by limiting supplies.

The Prime Minister first discussed the oil plan with mr Obama in March, when he said the idea was "worth looking at". Diplomats said the oil plan will be discussed at Camp David on saturday morning, although no action will be announced this weekend.

Now The Daily Stirrer does not like to pour cold water on good ideas but this is not a good idea. In fact, with oil prices being the biggest issue in the USA at the moment it looks very much like a stitch up to help Obama's re - election bid. So in the end we the people are going to end up paying to get our greatest enemy, thre New World Order's houseboy, the fifth-columnist-in-chief a second term in office.

Teresa May Bullying The Boys In Blue

by Ed Butt
Home Secretary Theresa May was forced to deny her relationship with the police is beyond repair after she was heckled by delegates at the Police Federation conference. In a speech to rank and file officers the Home Secretary was trying to justify budget cuts of 20% in England and Wales, and some of the most radical reforms in 30 years.

Mrs May said police needed to "share" in government austerity measures but said change was in forces' interest. She told the reporters it was right to stick to the "challenging" plans. "I've told the federation conference the truth - which is that as a government we do have to deal with the deficit, and that means that policing has to take its share of the cuts," Mrs May said.

"It is necessary for us to look at this, for the good of policing for the future, and looking at how we can ensure police officers are able to do the job they and the public want them to do."

Some officers hoisted placards with the slogan "enough is enough" as Mrs May came on stage. She was heckled during the question and answer session that followed.

Mrs May said after her speech: [To say no more cuts are possibleIt is] "not a view that I agree with, it's the view that the Police Federation has put forward."

The federation is also unhappy with the government's proposed radical overhaul of pay and conditions, and a challenge to the existing model of policing with the privatisation of an increasing number of jobs. Although officers listened to her speech respectfully, things became heated during questions. Mrs May was jeered, heckled and, most embarrassing for her, made the subject of a joke by federation chairman Paul McKeever.

He asked people to raise their hands if they thought the Winsor report on police reform was truly independent. When Mr McKeever pointed out no-one had done so - not even the home secretary - it brought the house down. Mrs May sat stoney-faced.

It was an uncomfortable session for her but with the police facing further cuts there may be worse to come.

She told the conference: "It will only ever be police officers who make arrests; it will only ever be police officers who lead investigations; and it will only ever be police officers who direct policing operations." But she added "It's my job to do what is right for policing and right for the country and it's my job to reform policing so that it's fit to face the future.Less paperwork, more police work. More power for the public, less power for the bureaucrats and freeing the best police officers in the world to fight crime."

Officers needed to "stop pretending" they were being "picked on", she added. "Every part of the public sector is having to take its share of the pain."

The Daily Stirrer agrees with the Home Secretary. With less than one in four police officers engaged in front line duties while some senior officers openly admit that in many cities police have lost control of the steets and some sink estates have become no - go areas for law enforcement officers clearly the suits in the police force need a kick up the arse. The trick Mrs May must pull off however as must her colleagues who are responsible for education and health is to hamstring the suits to stop them preserving theirt owen pointless jobs while firing front line workers.

We're Back

Ian R Thorpe

Sorry about the absence of The Daily Stirrer, it turns out that on the day I was dragged kicking and screaming into hospital for "tests and observation" i.e. so a bunch of NHS idiots who are content to leave decision making to their procedures could annoy me, the Daily Stirrer server was hacked. I was only in hospital four days but needed another four to recover from the ordeal before I could get to grips with restoring our system. So what's been happening while we were offline? Well much of what we told you would be happening, the Euro crisis staggers on with even Brussels admitting Greece will have to leave the single currency, the coalition continues to make all the same mistakes as Labour made, mainly because they get advice from the same crypto marxist academics as Labour took advice from, the American election campaign gets bitter, Obama's gay crackhead past is being taked about openly. Around the world more of the same old same old really. Here's a story that amused me while I was banged up with only a web browser to help me keep up with what was going on :
Truth Murderering Greens

When the Heartland Institute launched an ad campaign comparing climate alarmists to mass murderers the green lobby rather predictably threw a hissy fit. Unfortunately the weirdie beardies, tree huggers and raffia mafia had forgotten they were the first to introduce this Nazi tactic into the debate.

The Drug Lord's Kocking On Obama's Door Shortly after winning the US Predidential Election in 2008, Barack Hussein Obama announced that under his presidency the courts would not administer justice based on evidence but would attach more importance to skin colour, sexual orientation and the relative wealth or poverty of the alleged perpetrators and Victims. If a further illustration of how his administration would be led bt an Orwellian mantra of Dark Skin Good, Pale Skin Bad, the Presiudent of Animal Farm also abandoned efforts to enforce border controls between the USA and Mexico, allowing members of the hugely powerful Mexican drug cartels free movement between jurisdictions.

As I drove west through the streets of Laredo, as I drove west through Laredo one day
I saw a crime scence, fourteen headless bodies left there to rot in the heat of the day.

Horrified motorists in Nuevo Laredo -- across the river border from Laredo, Texas -- first raise the alarm when they saw the blood-stained bodies of four women and five men hanging off a bridge, along with an apparent message from a drug gang

Police then discovered the 14 headless bodies in a vehicle parked in front of the Association of Customs Agents on one of the city's main avenues. The 14 heads were found in ice boxes outside the city hall. The grim spectacles were extreme even for Nuevo Laredo, a city of nearly 400,000 in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas, which has seen some of the most gruesome episodes in Mexico's brutal five-and-a-half year drug war.

As police viewed the bodies, they told a sad story, a story of young men, greed and gunplay,
those who seek easy riches wind up dead in ditches, their bodies abused and their heads on display,

The grim spectacles were extreme even for Nuevo Laredo, a city of nearly 400,000 in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas, which has seen some of the most gruesome episodes in Mexico's brutal five-and-a-half year drug war. Nuevo Laredo is regularly the scene of vicious disputes between the Zetas drug gang -- set up in the 1990s by Mexican ex-elite soldiers -- and their former employers, the Gulf cartel, now believed to be allied to the Sinaloa cartel of billionaire fugitive Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.

There's gold in Chicage, gold in Atlanta, Gold in St. Louis and God in L.A.
fortunes are awaing for people to claim them, if only the drug gangs don't get in the way.

The city is a key site for smuggling illegal narcotics into the United States: around 40 percent of the land cargo heading north, much of it from the industrial city of Monterrey, funnels through Nuevo Laredo. Last month, the dismembered remains of 14 men were found inside a van left near Nuevo Laredo city hall. Days later a car exploded outside police headquarters.

More than 50,000 people have been killed in Mexico's war on drugs since December 2006, when outgoing President Felipe Calderon launched a nationwide military crackdown on organized crime. Most of the deaths have been from turf battles between rival gangs.

So beat the drum slowly and play the fife lowly, play the dead march as we lower the flag;
The elistist who rule us do nothing but fool us, and abandon the streets to pimp, pushe and thug.

In Mexico's northwestern state of Sinaloa, 34 people have been killed over the past seven days in clashes between soldiers and drug gangs. In neighboring Veracruz state, further south on the Gulf of Mexico, security forces Thursday found the dismembered bodies of two missing news photographers and two others, just days after a magazine reporter was killed in the same state. The photographers, Gabriel Huge and his nephew Guillermo Luna, were buried in Veracruz city on Friday. As in Tamaulipas, many crime reporters have fled Veracruz in recent months amid threats and drug gang battles.

With six politicians reading the eulogy, six rights campaigners singing the mass,
we piled the sod over the coffin of freedom, grieved for democracy but all things must pass.

People demonstrated in cities across Mexico on Friday, calling for better protection for reporters and denouncing the failure of authorirites to punish those responsible for gang war murders murders. "Not One More," read placards carried by protesters in Mexico City. With an easy escape route into the USA and a labyrinthine extradition procedure that can be tied up in legal technicalities for decades, the drug cartels are effectively in contril of many Mexican states.

If your a young man, you'll n'er be an old man so long as you run with the cartel and gang,
and if you're a woman, teach well your children, the wages of sin is a shot through the brain

Even though security will be the top concern among voters (in Mexico's upcoming Presidential election), the candidates have not addressed the issue unless directly asked, said Vicente Sanchez, a professor at the School of the Northern Border. "They have given an vage outline [of how they would tackle the gang problem ], but have not gone deep into what they would do or how they would do it," he said.

So beat the drum slowly and play the fife lowly, with a friend in The White House the drug gangs have won,
stay close to true friends and take care of your family as our cities descend to the law of the gun.

This is not just a local problem, the British film Harry Brown, starring Michael Caine as an elderly ex - commando, abandoned by society and living on a "sink estate" in south London who decides to take on the gangs who are running the area. Caine is always good value and the message of this dark, brutal story readches way beyond the area in which it is set. London has a huge gang problem with Caribbean, Nigerian, Somali and Asian communities in open conflict and politically correct laws hamstringing police efforts to deal with the problem. Meanwhile our leaders was to bring even more failed states where criminals control government and media into the EU. First in line is Turkey, radpidly progrssing towards becoming an Islamic theocracy, a haven in it remote, eastern provinces for terrorists, human traffickers, gun runners and international drug dealers, whose membership claim is enthusiastically supported by President Barack Hussein Obama. Notice a pattern here?

But the state of modern journalism aside, this scandal is so inflammatory few realize that official records show the current director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), B. Mexican Drug Cartels Fundraising For Obama - Dallas blog
Mexican drug cartels have endorsed President Barack Obama's $1 billion re-election bid to the White House, while Mexican mafiosos are holding fundraisers for their favorite Democrat. Apparently, Obama offers 'hope' for a better business climate for Mexican assassins, kidnappers and drug bosses. According to the Houston Chronicle, "two American brothers of a Mexican casino magnate who fled drug and fraud charges in the United States and has been seeking a pardon enabling him to return have emerged as major fundraisers and donors for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign."

Election Results - What They Really Mean

by Ed Butt

As we would expect the media are today interpreting the results of yesterday's council and mayoral elections according to their political leanings. The Guardian, Mirror, Independent and Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation say the spanking the Coalition were given at the poll predict Labour are ready to sweep back to power and stat mortgaging the nation's future in order to throw money at Muslims, Black, Irish, Lesbian, One - legged, Dwarf, Retard single parents, Gay propagandists and supra national organisations that want to sweep away our culture and sovereignty and absorb our country into a multi cultural, polititically correct, dystopian global nation.

But what really happened? Well it was a bad night for mainstream politics.

The Right leaning media on the other hand are saying it was not so bad for the Conservatives. And the Liberal Democrats have gone off, found a quiet corner and are blubbing their dear little hearts out.UKIP increased their share on the vote, independents and greens did well and George Galloway's Respect party bagged several seats in Bradford. In short, like the 2010 General Election it was a bad night for mainstream politics.

Labour supporters point to a sever percent advantage over the Conservatives but ignore the fact that with the Lib Dems still polling eleven per cent and UKIP thirteen percent if we guess how those minority party votes might be cast in a general election. We can expect to see the Lib Dems obliterated, probably only taking around 6 or seven per cent Voters who desert them are likely to be divided fairly equally between Labour and Conservatives. UKIP will do dwell in the Euro elections but voters will return to the Tories in a first past the post General Election. Thus it starts to look very sticky for Labour.

The interesting thing is what will happen if the anti-posh-boy rumblings among the Conservative grass roots come to anything. Today Boris Johnson is being touted as the likely beneficiary of an anti Cameron coup but what if David Davis makes another leadership bid offering traditional Tory policies on law and order, immigration, unemployment and the economy. Nadine Dorries is no Maggie Thatcher but Davis could be even though he has got rid of the bouffant hairstyle.

Europe's Crisis Is Going To Get A Lot More Insane

by Phil T Luke

r
How would you go about solving your personal debt problem if your credit cards were maxed out, your overdraft wasd on it's limit and your income would not stretch to buying basics after all the interest on your morthgage and loans had been paid.? Go to a loan shark? Of course not, that should be a no brainer even for politcians and bureaucrats. But it is exactly where Europe is heading.

Euro-Lefties have been having a thin time of it recently. Only three per cent of EU citizens live under socialist or socialist-led governments. The European People's Party is the largest bloc in the European Council, as measured by voting weight, second are the European Conservatives and Reformists, who edge ahead of both the Liberals and the Socialists.

That, though, is about to change. France,a nmatuon in which the state consumes 56 per cent of GDP, even more than our own greedy government - monster, and whose budget was last in balance in 1974, seems likely to elect François Hollande who on a platform of 'growth, not austerity'. (if only achieving it was as easy as saying it) will try to create illusory growth in the economy by borrowing more and more money at ever higher interest rates and giving it away to the lazy, the shiftless and the corporations whose business is built on mining taxpayer's pockets. Greece, which also votes on Sunday, is inclining toward a pack of communist parties; the politicians there who talk openly of the need for cuts currently command less than seven per cent in the polls.Fortunately the parties of Greece's fragmented left hate each other more than they hate the bankers who screwed their country Romania, too, is about to install a Leftist ministry, following the defeat of the last government's austerity platform. As other elections follow around the poor nations of Europe, we can expect more of the same.

The invevitable result of this will be that Europe will return to and intensify all the policies that brought it to its present unhappy condition: loonytoons spending, unsustainable borrowing, obscene levels of taxation, deeper fiscal and political integration integration. Voters, protected from reality for too long by the EU's overgenerous benefits system are in no willing to accept less generous benefits and pensions. They'd rather be told what they want to hear that the money can somehow be got out of the rich. A politician who admits the truth that the rich a tiny fraction of the total population, have nothing like enough to pay for all the things that modern governments want to do – is liable to have rotten fruit, dead vermin and molotov cocktails thrown at him.

Even in the north European countries that still recognise the virtue of financial discipline the Centre-Right parties in government have done little to bring spending under control. All are running deficits that would have been catastrophic a generation ago. But like the other Elepphant In The Room, immigration, nobody wants to talk about it. For Britain, official Treasury figures show that, contrary to almost universal belief, total public s ending is higher today than it was under Gordon Brown. The left constantly scream abouut the unfairnessof the Coatolitions cuts but the Coalition asterity measures have not reduced spending by one penny. All that has been achieved is a lowdown in the rate of acceleration at which we are amassing debt.

The EU is in a downward spiral. The worse things get, the more reluctant its governments are to tackle the underlying problem of excessive expenditure. Lacking any alternative narrative, voters blame the lack of growth on 'cuts', 'bankers' and 'deregulation'. They then support parties committed to even higher spending – which, of course, exacerbates the problem. And, as if national governments were not burdensome enough, Europeans must also contend with more rules and more taxes from Brussels.

We must get out. Ignore those who say it is impossible, unless you want to live under a system of oligarchic collectiveism (see George Orwell's 1984) we simply cannot allow it to be impossible. FFS we stood up to hitler's Wehrmacht, have we become so weak we are prepared to let a bunch of penpushers in Brussels destroy our nation?

Obama Talks The Talk But Dare Not Visit Afghanistan In Daylight

Todays mainstream news papers and broadcast bulletins are full of the Superhero Barack Obama's daredevil visit to Afghanistan. The man who liberated Libya single handed and took out Osama Bin Laden (or a Pakistani pensioner with a beard) in a daring solo raid behind enemy lines stormed into the Afghan capital, Kabul, made a speech that left hundreds of Taliban fighters dead and saw others fleeing for the mountains with their arses on fire then left again all in the space of fifteen minutes. He would have stayed longer but had to get back, put out a forest fire, shore up a mountainside that was about to collapse, catch a kid who had fallen over the rail and was about to plunge into the Niagara rapids and stop a huge dam from bursting and washing away several small communities in Colarado.

No, but seriously folks ... After landing at Bagram Airbase around 10pm local time, the Prez - Dude was delivered by a low-level, cover-of-darkness "helicopter insertion" (he got arse fucked by a helicopter? Now wonder the limp wristed one was smiling) to the Presidential Palace where a ten-page proposal which contains no specifics on funding or troop levels was signed around midnight. So secret was the visit that the White House spent the day frantically trying to deny leaked news of Obama's imminent arrival after the puppet government in Kabul blabbed to western media. This was yet another example of seamless co-operation between Afghan and Coalition governments that perfectly illustrates the readiness of President Khazi's government to provide stability and security after the allied withdrawal.. After the signing, there was just time for Mr Obama to duck into a hangar and make a rousing address to the bewildered troops who have a big enough problem trying to anticipate which direction the next enemy attack will next come from without having to worry about which direction the next visit by Obama, Cameron or Sarkozy will come from. Then he made an address to the American nation reminding them how he was single handedly routing the Taliban on a daily basis. This was, of course, another perfect excuse for the President to remind everyone of his heroic decision to leave the golf course and sit in a corner of the Situation Room as the Navy SEALs hit the alleged terrorist compound a year ago. Obama's autocue, said by many to be the real voice of the Presidency, is a past master at making a virtue out of absurdity, and this occasion was no exception as The One mouthed meaningless cliches about “new light” breaking on the horizon for Afghanistan, even as he gestured to the “pre-dawn darkness” in which he was speaking. Even the Presidential autocue's rhetorical skills couldn’t disguise the tail-between-the-legs ‘optics’ of the event. It was as big a public disaster as news of the Administration's billion - dollar gift to the Taliban or Michelle Obama's $30,000 spending spree in posh knicker shop Agent Provocateur. Administration officials tried to suggest that the visit’s unusual timing was for the benefit of the US TV networks, a piece of spin so feeble it does not merit a response. There is no doubting the wisdom of the President’s security advisors in keeping the visit secret and under cover of darkness, it is only two weeks ago that the Haqqani network mounted a co-ordinated 18-hour assault on the heart of Kabul. Unfortunately despite the gung ho speech the message of this trip was clear and will not be missed by the west's enemies: after a decade of expending blood and money in Afghanistan, the US President does not dare visit the place broad daylight. MPs Say Murdoch Not A Fit And Proper Person To Run Britain

Rupert Murdoch "is not a fit person to exercise the stewardship of a major international company", MPs have con cluded. Parliament's culture committee questioned journalists and bosses at the now closed News of the World, as well as police and lawyers for people whose private data held on internet and mobile phone devices. Its report says that Mr Murdoch exhibited "wilful blindness" to what was going on in News Corporation. But the committee was split six to four with Tory members refusing to endorse the report and branding it "partisan".

Conservative Louise Mensch called it "a real great shame" that the report's credibility had potentially been "damaged" as a result, with the report carried by Labour and Lib Dem members backing it. News Corp said in a statement it was "carefully reviewing" the report and would "respond shortly", adding: "The company fully acknowledges significant wrongdoing at News of the World and apologises to everyone whose privacy was invaded."

Again we see the damaging effect of ultra - partisan politics. We all knew for years what was going on with Murdoch controlled news media and this should have been an opportunity to break up the media empire he built which in the end exercised far too much control over attitudes in British society. The unanimous decision that evidence called for would have given regulators the green light to administer the spanking Murdoch and his senior executives deserved. Instead the small minded approach fostered by party politics, the approach that dicates "if they support it we must oppose it" mentality has given News International wriggle room.

Green CausingEnergy Causing Global Warming

Fancy A Laugh? Here's a good story. A new scientific study says wind farms can cause climate change. The new research, that shows for the first time the new technology is already pushing up temperatures.

Usually at night the air closer to the ground becomes colder when the sun goes down and the earth cools. Simples

But on huge wind farms the motion of the turbines mixes the air higher in the atmosphere that is warmer, pushing up the overall temperature.

Satellite data over a large area of Texas now covered by four of the world's largest wind farms, found that over a decade the local temperature went up by almost 1C as more turbines are built.

This may have long term effects on wildlife and vegitation living in the immediate areas of larger wind farms.

It could also affect regional weather patterns as warmer areas affect the formation of cloud and even wind speeds.

It is reported China is now erecting 36 wind turbines every day and Texas is the largest producer of wind power in the US.

Liming Zhou, Research Associate Professor at the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at the University of New York, who led the study, said further research is needed into the affect of the new technology on the wider environment.

"Wind energy is among the world’s fastest growing sources of energy. The US wind industry has experienced a remarkably rapid expansion of capacity in recent years,” he said. “While converting wind’s kinetic energy into electricity, wind turbines modify surface-atmosphere exchanges and transfer of energy, momentum, mass and moisture within the atmosphere. These changes, if spatially large enough, might have noticeable impacts on local to regional weather and climate.”

The study, published in Nature, found a “significant warming trend” of up to 0.72C (1.37F) per decade, particularly at night-time, over wind farms relative to near-by non-wind-farm regions.

The team studied satellite data showing land surface temperature in west-central Texas.

“The spatial pattern of the warming resembles the geographic distribution of wind turbines and the year-to-year land surface temperature over wind farms shows a persistent upward trend from 2003 to 2011, consistent with the increasing number of operational wind turbines with time,” said Prof Zhou.

However Prof Zhou pointed out the most extreme changes were just at night and the overall changes may be smaller

It is just more scientofic bullshit of course and we are sure that next week there will be a new report from a bunch of scientists claiming the wind bolws steadily twenty four hours a day and therefore wind turbines are a wonerful source of cheap, non polluting energy that we can rely on for all out future needs.

Of course we could just vote out of office all the politicians who listen to this pseudo scientific bullshit, vote in people who have lived and worked in the real world and cut off research grants to the workshy dole bludgers who masquerade as scientists. The wind does not blow at the same speed round the clock every day and until it does (never) wind turbines are a waste of space and money. FFS it's not rocket science.

ILO warns global employment situation is 'alarming'; Eurozone in crisis:

by Xavier Connolly The International Labour Organization (ILO) has reported that the global employment situation is "alarming" and unlikely to improve soon. The agency said that austerity measures, especially in advanced economies, were hurting job creation and the situation was likely to get worse amid slowing global growth and more people entering the workforce. They have a point of course but it is just not feasible to keep borrowing money to pay for the hiring of more tax eaters. The global economy was dysfunctional and something had to give.

High unemployment has been a concern in the US and the major sEuropean economies, except for Germany, for several years. and has hurt the global economic recovery Now the austerity forced on thise high consumption societies is hitting grown in the nations of the developing world whose low labour costs had enabled them to take advantge of the credit bubble inflated by western bankers.

"It is unlikely that the world economy will grow at a sufficient pace over the next couple of years to both close the existing jobs deficit and provide employment for the more than 80 million people expected to enter the labour market during this period," the agency said in its report. Data out last week showed that the unemployment rate in Spain hit a new record high of 24.4% at the end of March.Unemployment in France also rose for the 11th straight month during March.

The tough times will go on for the forseeable future then, jut as The Daily Stirrer has predicted.

The ILO report comes at a time when some of the biggest economies in the eurozone are having to cut government spending in wake of the region's ongoing debt crisis. The agency was critical of the austerity measures taken by Europe's economies, saying not only had they failed to bring down deficits but they had hurt economic growth and as a result impacted the jobs market. Needless to say these think tank types did not offer a way out of the situation. Taking on more debt is not an option with even the powerful economies now approaching levels at which their debt will start to spiral.

"The narrow focus of many eurozone countries on fiscal austerity is deepening the jobs crisis and could even lead to another recession in Europe", said Raymond Torres, the lead author of the ILO report. However, the agency said that employment rates in developing economies had recovered much faster and had surpassed pre-financial crisis levels. Well yeah, but in the west the aggressive employment laws forced on sovereign nation by the "human rights" industry make it impossible to cut wages. Undrer EU law it is also almost impossibler to sack an inefficient worker too. When these self styled experts talk about a "new and more problematic phase" was emerging in the global labour market," they only prove once again that our politicians and the people they rely on for advice are clueless and totally out of touch with reality.

Bank of England's Disastrous Quantitative Easing Policy Destroying Pensions

Big News today is that the shortfall in the final-salary pensions schemes of the FTSE 350 companies has risen to £80bn at the end of last month, four times higher than at the same point last year according to pensions analysts Hymans Robertson.

The figures expose the extent to which repeated rounds of quantitative easing (QE a.k.a.creating money in computers) has distorted the value of pensions. A growing number of businesses are arguing companies should pump spare cash into business growth and job creation rather than plug "artificially depressed" deficits. But the pensions watchdog on Friday flatley rejected calls to make allowances for the impact of QE when calculating future scheme liabilities.

In its funding statement, the Pensions Regulator told strong companies to plug deficits rather than invest in capital expenditure.

Adam Marshall, policy director at the British Chambers of Commerce, said: "The best way to meet future pensions liabilities is to return the economy to growth and safeguard the solvency of the employers who back the schemes. We need firms to invest in real jobs and growth rather than plugging paper pensions deficits." This is easier said than done of course after all the apparent growth in western economies ofver the past three decades had been based on increasing government spending.

We should feel sorry for young people today, in the private sector, final salary pension schemes don't exist any more for new entrants. House prices are sky high & likely to remain so despite minor fluctuations in the market. This puts home buying totally out of reach for most of the under-40s in the more expensive South East, many people can't even afford to insure a car. On top of that the government saddles them with huge debts in return for provinding sub standard tertiary education that actually does little to enhance potential earning power of employability.

Is it any wonder younger people feel increasingly alientated & turn to more extreme ideologies like Trotskyism, nationalism or anarchism or simply opt out of mainstream socirety. There will be a lot more social problems ahead if we continue to deny opportunities to young people, whilst destroying the savings and pensions of the old. To force companies into plugging artificial pension scheme deficits to make up for the effects of inflation brought on by the loonytoons economics of the New World Order, instead of encouraging them to invest for growth & jobs, is pure insanity.

The Daily Stirrer is fed up of banging on about the politics of politically correct concensus with it's obession with multiculturlism and globalism, its delusional belief that GDP growth can be maintained by borrowing money and pumping it into the public sector and with telling you that the people who run our nations are all cosseted elitists who have no clue about the lives of ordinary people, the lives that through their incompetence they trash every day.

Spain's Jobless Hits New Record

by Ed Butt

Nearly one in four Spaniards are now out of work, according to figures released by the government on today, as Standard & Poor's cut the country's credit rating by two notches over its debt burden and ailing banks.

The number of unemployed people hit 5,639,500 for March, with the unemployment rate reaching 24.4%, the national statistics agency reported. The figures came on the same day as rating agency Standard & Poor's downgraded Spanish sovereign debt. Official figures due out on Monday are expected to confirm that Spain has fallen back into recession.

Earlier this week, the Bank of Spain said the economy contracted by 0.4% in first three months of this year, after shrinking by 0.3% in the final quarter of last year. Other figures published last week showed that retail sales were down 3.7% in March from the same point a year ago, the 21st month in row sales have fallen. In the first three months of the year, 365,900 people in Spain lost their jobs. The country has the highest unemployment rate in the European Union and it is expected to rise further as the year goes on.

So what is wrong with the Spanish economy? The unemployment rate has risen sharply since April 2007, when it stood at 7.9%. "The figures are terrible for everyone and terrible for the government... Spain is in a crisis of huge proportions," Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo said.

The new government has announced reforms to the labour market, including cutting back on severance pay and restricting inflation-linked salary increases, that it hopes will ease the problem. These measures have angered unions, which have organised widespread general strikes in protest. Spain is treading much the same path as was followed by Greece a year ago. HSBC chief economist Stephen King said:"The recession is so deep that when you take one step forward on austerity, it takes you two steps back."

The Spoanish government has also introduced drastic spending cuts designed to reduce its debt levels and meet deficit targets agreed with the European Union. These cuts are contributing to Spain's economic contraction.. The interest rate, or yield, on Spanish government bonds traded in the secondary market rose following the release of the unemployment figures and the S&P downgrade. The yield on 10-year bonds rose to 5.96%, up from 5.81%, suggesting investors were becoming more wary of Spain's ability to repay its debts. This extra interest burden also imacts on the Government's ability to reduce the deficit. The only way they can pay corrent debts is by taking on even more debt.

More bad news for the Eurozone today, the interest rate Italy has to pay to borrow money from international investors rose. In a sale of 10-year bonds, the government offered a rate of 5.84% compared with 5.24% at a similar sale a month earlier.

Late on Thursday night, the ratings agency Standard & Poor's cut Spain's rating by two notches to BBB+, warning that the country might have to take on more debt to support its banking sector. S&P predicts the Spanish economy will shrink by 1.5% this year, having previously forecast 0.3% growth.

Argentina's Lightweight Government Throws Its Weight About

by Profanicus Maximus

The government of Argentina, still deluding itself that the Falkland Islands belong to them, has threatened to press criminal and civil charges on British oil companies exploring off the Falkland Islands if they do not "justify their actions" by a May 2 deadline.

In its latest display of megalomaniacal lunacy over the disputed islands, The Government of Argentina said it had written to Falkland Oil & Gas (FOGL), Borders & Southern, Rockhopper, Desire Petroleum and Argos Resources on April 17, to "notify them of their illicit actions and the consequences. In case of failure to offer a response and once the deadline expires, administrative sanctions will be imposed to each company within the framework of an Energy Secretariat resolution which deems these activities illegal," it said. "The Argentine government will also press criminal and civil charges."

It gave no details of the form in which it intended to pursue such action, however. None of the explorers has any assets in Argentina and the British Foreign Office has said it is "deeply sceptical" that Argentina could pursue penalties against such companies in foreign courts.

Argentina said in March it planned to sue the explorers, but this is thought to be the first time this year it has written to them and the first time it has set a deadline. Legal letters have been sent to the companies in previous years, and in March were sent to banks who advised them, but no legal action has resulted.

Earlier this month, FOGL chief executive Tim Bushell shrugged off the "political noise" from Argentina: "Our legal advice is there are no grounds under any international law for pursuing their claims," he said. The companies either declined to comment or could not be reached for response on Thursday night but it is not thought any of them intends to reply to the letters.

The Demon Stagflation Is On The Loose

by Phil T. Luker

The Credit Crunch is stil crunching European economies and the savings and pension funds of individuals.

Demand for housing loans has falled 70pc in Portugal, 44pc in Italy, and 42pc in the Netherlands in the first quarter of 2012. Enterprise loans fell 38pc in Italy. The survey took place in late March and early April, and therefore includes the second of Mario Draghi’s €1 trillion liquidity infusion (LTRO). T his puts a rather different perspective on the UL Labour Party's outraged squealing about our economy contracting one fifth of one per cent over the last quarter of 2011 and the first quarter of 2012. While to coalition are not performing any miracles in economic recovery (or anywhere else for that matter) we are doing better in real terms than our neighbours and a hell of a lot better that we would be if a Labour government was printing money as if it was going out of fashion and pumping it into the economy to create an illusion of growth. The USA with closet Marxist, closet gay, coset cokehead President Obama following Labour's lead and trying to inflate his away America's obsecene debt, is faring even worse.

There is no real growth in the economies of the developed world while inflation is eating away at the value of savings and investments and eroding the value of earnings. Since the credit crunch hit after the economic collapse of 2008 almost everything the political leaders and their fuckwitted economic advisers have done was the opposite of what needed to be done.

The European Central Bank said net demand for loans had fallen "to a significantly lower level than had been expected in the fourth quarter of 2011, with the decline driven in particular by a further sharp drop in financing needs for fixed investment." Demand fell 43pc for household loans, and 30pc for non-bank firms.

Mr Draghi told Members of the European Parliament yesterday that short term loans had at least averted a horrendous crunch. "Our policy has been quite successful in buying time and I think [ in the circumstances ] buying time is not a minor achievement." He is certainly right about that. The mess he inherited from the Merkel/Sarkozy expropriations of bondholders in Greece, and the Trichet/Stark tightening of monetary policy was calamitous.

This slump in loan demand is more or less what happened during Japan’s Lost Decade as Mr and Mrs Watanabe shunned debt. Near zero interest rates did nothing, as they have done nothing in Europe and the USA. It is true that banks have slowed the pace of credit tightening, but they are nevertheless still tightening. "A banking crisis remains very much in play for much of the region," said David Owen from Jefferies Fixed Income.

The credit squeeze is entirely predictable – and was widely predicted. The IMF said last week that Europe’s banks would slash their balance sheets by €2 trillion – or 7pc – by next year. This amounts to an economic shock. The Fund said deleveraging on this scale at a time of sharp fiscal tightening risks a "bad equilibrium".

In simple terms it ensures a long slow descent into hell for countries with unsupportable welfare systems that have for too long relied on borrowing to fund their deficit. Judging by the rise of Sinn Fein in Ireland, the Dutch Freedom Party, the Dutch Socialist Party (hard-Left), the True Finns, France’s right wing Front National and near connumist Left Front , and some old fashioned fire-breathers of the right and left in Greece, they victims will not readily put up with this.

Meanwhile As Punters Suffer Brussels Bureaucrats Throw Away Money As If It Is Infected

by Ed Butt

European Commission bureaucrats have squandered millions of pounds on bizarre projects that provide little or no benefit to member states, it has been revealed. Wasteful schemes include spending £20m on building three ports in Spain and Italy that remain unused four years after their completion and sending a ‘blogging donkey’ equipped with a solar panel and a video camera around Europe as part of a £5.7m programme to “foster European identity”.

Reports of the costly commitments come as the European Commission proposes a near seven per cent increase to its budget. No austerity for them then? Under the draft plans the UK would agree to pay an additional £1billion to Brussels at a time when Whitehall departments are on average facing cuts of 19 per cent. This is in addition to the £billions British taxpayers are being asked to stump up to save the Euro and the doomed and dysfunctional single currency scheme set up to smooth the way for the usurpation of national sovereigny and formation of a European Federal Superstate.

Both Downing Street and the Treasury have vowed to fight the demands, pointing out that the “unacceptable” increase was “in excess of inflation”. The Commission’s proposal would increase the EU’s budget to nearly £114billion. Britain’s share, at around 12.5 per cent, would be £16.6billion - a rise of more than £1billion.

Britain’s share, at around 12.5 per cent, would be £16.6billion or around £45 million a day - a rise of more than £1billion. That would go quite a long way towards reducing the deficit before we had to even start looking at the money wasted on loonytoons projects and politically correct bullshit by our own public service sector.

Cameron Gazes Into The Abyss

by Ed Butt

When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you :- Freidreich Neitzsche

At Prime Minister's questioin time today David Cameron was given a threashing the like of which he had not experienced since he was at his very posh school, and he did not enjoy it. After less than 10 minutes of suffering "the slings and arrows of outraged MPs from members of his own and opposition parties, the Prime Minister looked like a pit bull with piles. The Leverson inquiry into the illegal 'news' gathering techniques of Rupert Murdoch's media empire has spread beyond the world of celebrity gossip to threated a few political careers. And the Prmie Minister along with his two predecessors will be lucky if he emerges only seriously embarrassed.

Probably the worst moment for Cameron was when he told the House that the media and the country should wait for the end of the Leveson Inquiry before we jump to conclusions about the conduct of his Government over the BSkyB deal (the deal cut by the traitor and war criminal Blair to help Murdoch destroy Independent Television thus handing News International a dominant position in British boroadcast and print media), instead of making judgements on a single day’s evidence.

That would be thin at the best of times, but coming an hour after a Government adviser has quit because it was revealed that Coalition advisers had continued to cosy up to Murdoch's lackeys just as Labour official nhad before them, it’s just looked desperate and the House knew it.

The derisive laughter that greeted Mr Cameron attempts to wriggle off the hook was significant. So was his reaction: the sullen, shocked look of a man who does not like being laughed at. For a moment, he seemed to stare into the middle distance, lost in thought.

Like the young Muhammad Ali after being laid low by our 'Enery's 'ammer the PM fought back, berating Ed Miliband about the tough choices of Government. “I don’t duck my responsibilities,” he raged, face red with anger. Or was it fear?

The Euro Crisis Gets Political

Worrying news from Europe: The Dutch government has failed as the euro crisis continues to claim political victims

This is probably a more significant pointer to where the Euro crisis will go next than the likely defeat of Sarkozy in France's Presidential election. While we knew Sarkozy was in big trouble the collapse of the ruling coalition in The Netherlands and Dutch PM Mark Rutte's resignation was not widely predicted. After more than seven weeks of negotiations, the über-populist PVV party, led by Geert Wilders, withdrew its support for significant budget cuts, many of which were demanded by the EU, and for the minority government itself. Rutte seemingly saw no alternative to resignation. What really makes this interesting is that the collapse was heavily influenced by Eurozone politics. Wilders said: “We will not accept having our people bleed at the hands of bureaucrats in Brussels.” He added that elections, which could take place as early as June, will now be about Europe and the Euro. In other words, another government can be added to the Euro crisis' list of political victims along with Greece and Italy, boith now run by Brussels appointed bureaucracies.. The episode adds uncertainty to the eurozone crisis. We knew that there would be significant opposition to EU-imposed austerity measures in Southern Europe but the Dutch? Though it’s Germany has lost a key ally in its efforts to achieve a Euro based on sound money and budget discipline. As Handelsblatt warned this morning, if Wilders gains greater influence, Dutch ratification of Hausfrau Merkel’s fiscal treaty and the permanent bailout fund (ESM) could be in trouble. Meanwhile the French presidential elections have the centre concensus in a tizzy too. One third of voters cast their ballot for candidates who are explicitly anti-euro (Le Pen) or strongly protectionist (Mélenchon). There has been a lot of Hollande bashing in the UK press, but what is far more interesting is what a Hollande victory would mean for France's relationship with Berlin. Hollande is still flirting with the idea of changing the EU fiscal treaty (though he will most likely stop short of renegotiation), pushing the ECB to print cash and dropping France’s pension age back to 60. Clearly, a back-pedalling France under Hollande would make it far more difficult for Angela Merkel to get the political cover needed to put up German taxpayers money to prop up the economic basket cases. Increased likelyhood of debt defaults by Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain and Italy would mean more political uncertainty and anxious markets. The German media are growing ir ncreasingly nervous. A leader in Deutsche Mittelstands Nachricten, popular with Germany’s huge and powerful small and medium size business community, said the results marked a “painful defeat” for Merkel’s vision of Europe. A leader in FAZ noted that the results “reveal a scary political landscape" in France. Beyond short-term electoral politics, the move to political extremess in France and Netherlands are yet another reminder of the tension at the heart of the Eurozone. When European Union leaders forged the euro they gambled on two hugely unpredictable factors: that economic forces could be kept in check, and that national democracies could be managed. Crucially, they wagered that, should an economic crisis necessitate a more integrated economic and political union, national voters and parliaments could be counted on to play along and vote the “right” way. Perhaps now they are starting to they bet their nation's life savings on a three legged horse. VOTE UKIP

Another Terror Loving Cleric Hides Behind European Human Rights Law As Abu Qatada Saga Goes On.

by Profanicus Maximus

As news emerges that another Muslim cleric suspected of terrorist links is using the European Human Rights Law and Little Hattie Harman's Politically Correct Though Police act the Human Rights Act passed into law by the Labour government to thwart deportation, it emerged yesterday.

Taha Muhammad, came to Britain 10 years ago claiming asylum from Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq. He is regarded by police as one of Britain’s most dangerous Islamist figures, reported to have links with Al Qaeda, and to have taken part “in both terrorist training and activities”.

Muhammad, believed to be living in Birmingham, is even said to have been banned from studying AS-level chemistry because of concerns that what he learned could be used to make explosives for terrorist acts. He is resisting deportation to Iraq on the grounds he could be detained and tortured there, breaching his human rights.

Political activist Judges last year allowed him the right to stay in Britain despite opposition from the Home Office and Police.

Through his solicitor, Muhammad said: “I have never done anything unlawful.”

The Daily Stirrer has also learned that judges sympathetic to terrorists and enemies of the British people tipped off Muslim cleric Abu Qatada that there was still time to launch a last-ditch appeal against his deportation, it was claimed yesterday. Home Office sources alleged that people inside the European Court of Human Rights privately alerted the fanatical preacher his legal team could still make an appeal although the deadline appeared to have passed.

But officials at the Strasbourg-based court made no attempt to warn Home Secretary Theresa May about the looming deadline. Home Office staff were yesterday understood to be furious with the court over it's blatantly partisan behaviour in advising the suspected terrorist’s legal team. They blamed the tip-off for the debacle over the apparent mix-up that followed his arrest last week.

One Home Office insider said: “They took it upon themselves to go to Qatada’s legal team and say, ‘You haven’t appealed yet. Are you likely to appeal?’ It’s extraordinary they decided to alert his team the appeal deadline was coming up. But they did not bother to remind us.” Tory MPs attacked the alleged tip-off as “outrageous” meddling in British affairs.

The Daily Stirrer says this is more evidence, as if any more were needed, that we must get out of Europe before the left wing lunatics trying to create a fascist federal superstate suck us in too far. Remember these cupid stunts want to bring nascent Islamist theocracies like Syria, Egypt and Libya into an extended "Mediterranean Union," as part of their planned New World Order.

Controversy flared last week after Qatada, a Jordanian citizen, was detained by police as Mrs May announced a fresh attempt to deport him to Jordan, where he faces terrorism charges. He claims his human rights could be infringed there because evidence obtained from torture may be used against him.

Charles Walker, vice-chairman of the Convervative Party’s powerful backbench 1922 committee, said: “If it’s the case the European Court of Human Rights alerted Qatada he could still appeal, it is disgraceful. It would amount to a partisan interference suggesting the court’s sympathies lie with Abu Qatada, not with the British people. It demonstrates what a morally bankrupt outfit this court is.”

Labour, the party that hates everything that makes us British, are cheering the bid to give terrorists the right to stay in Britain, preaching hate and inciting violence against British people. The Liberal Democrats who become increasingly more illiberal and undemocratic remained wimpishly silent.

The European Court Of Human Rights declined to comment on “alleged contacts” with Qatada’s team which is almost the same as saying "We don't have to answer to the electorate so fuck the fucking fuck off.

Church of England Has Nothing to Fear From Gay Marriage say (Gay) Clergymen

by Profanicus Maximus

In a blatant case of "They would say that wouldn't they?" a group of "influential" clergymen have written a letter to The Times saying the church has nothing to fear from gay mariage. The group which is comprised of openly gay or left wing political activist god - botherers say that as society evolves so must institutions such as marriage.

Read the full story on Yahoo news

These church leaders only succeed in proving themselves to be as out of touch with the feelings of their congregation as politicians of all main parties are with the voters.

A comment in the thread under this news item raised some interesting points when somebody commenting as William said:

(WILLIAM • Manchester, England • 41 minutes ago)Im a gay man ,we have already got civil partnerships,i and most of my friends think marriage is a step too far.Our so called leaders and gay right groups think this is what gay people want.I think the whole gay thing is getting pushed in peoples face and people are getting sick of it.Straight people have a right to opinion too but its got to the point like if you mention immigrants you are classed as racist, and if you disagree with things such as gay marriage you are classed as homophobic.

William is absolutely right. This whole gay mariage thing has been driven by the metropolitian elite which is comprised of politicians, lawyers, media professionals and senior public sector workers. They have not stopped to consider the feelings of the great mass of people (whom the elite covertly despise despite protestations that they are only interested in building a fair and equal society) The elitist "progressive left have only one aim and that is to advance their authoritarian agenda and impose their values on all of us, by law when persuasion fails as it certainly will.

Dangerous Cyclists Slammed By London Cab Firm Chief

by Xavier Connolly

The Chairman of London’s largest minicab company has said cyclists need to think more about their own safety before “throwing themselves on to some of the most congested spaces in the world”.

John Griffin, the founder and chairman of Addison Lee, blames the rising popularity of cycling for the increase in road accidents and says cyclists should pay road tax.

The rest of us occupying this road space have had to undergo extensive training,” he said. “We are sitting in a protected space with impact bars and air bags and paying extortionate amounts of taxes on our vehicle purchase, parking, servicing, insurance and road tax.

“These cyclists are throwing themselves on to some of the most congested spaces in the world. They leap on to a vehicle which offers them no protection except a padded plastic hat. It is time for us to say to cyclists: you want to join our gang, get trained and pay up.”

Mr Griffin also criticised campaigners who claim that cyclists are being “murdered” by motorists, saying they should take responsibility for their own safety.

He's right, cyclists fulfil no safety requirements before taking to the road, disregard the highway code whenever they feel it might inconvenience them, ignore red lights, try to pass on the inside when a car is indicating it is turning left, ride on pavements intimiating pedestrians and try to harrass motorists who are encasesd in a ton of metal. And they of course they claim they are the victims whenever their self righteoust irresponsibility gets them in trouble.

Al Qaeda Threaten Terrorist Attacks On Britain If Hate Preacher Abu Qatada Is Deported

by Ed Butt

Militant Al Qaeda faction Al Shabaab has warned that Britain will face terror attacks if Islamic extemist and hate ptreadcing cleric Abu Qatada is deported to his homeland, Jordan.

The Al Qaeda militants warned of a “disaster” for Britain if the Government attempts to send Qatada home to face charges of sedition and inciting terrorism.

SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors online activity from terrorist groups, said al-Shabaab had issued its warning on militant forums.

"The British public is also forewarned that it will be the British government, as a result of its imprudence, that shall be liable for any disaster that befalls them, or their national interests," the statement said.. It comes a week after Al-Qaeda threatened to attack Britain if it decides to extradite Qatada. In a statement signed by Al-Qaeda’s general command and published on jihadist forums, the terror network said Abu Qatada's extradition would “open the gates of evil” on “Britain and its citizens everywhere.” (Read the full story).

This is nothing much to worry about of course, it's very likely nothing more than typical middle eastern windbaggery. With any luck a few wannabe martyrs (the lure of 72 virgins is strong) will blow themselves up trying to build bombs, life in Britain will go n unmolested and the majority of law abinding Muslims will ontinue to live peacefully, side by side with their atheist, agnostic and Christian neighbours.

Obama's Latest Kinfe In Britain's Back Should Wake Up Our Dozy Government

by Profanicus Maximus The Daily Stirrer has commented many times on the obvious hatred U. S. President Barack Obama harbours for Britain. We have reported how the Festering Gobshite in Chief will grab any opportunity to insult our nation even as he is petulantly demanding the support of our government. No surprise then that Sidi Obama has no interest in supporting Britain over the Falklands. He declared in a press conference in Colombia at the Summit of the Americas: "And in terms of the Maldives [sic] or the Falklands, whatever your preferred term, our position on this is that we are going to remain neutral. We have good relations with both Argentina and Great Britain, and we are looking forward to them being able to continue to dialogue on this issue. But this is not something that we typically intervene in."

The Obama presidency has made it clear that it views Britain and Argentina as equal allies. This, despite the fact that Great Britain is a world power that has fought alongside the Americans in almost every major US-involved war over the past 70 years (with the notable exception of Vietnam). In contrast, Argentina is an insignificant international actor, currently led by a kleptocrat anti-Western government, which has barely lifted a finger to help the Americans in the past. But like Obama the Argentine gobernment loves terrorism and advocates oligarchic collectivism (like the Big Brother regime in Orwell's 1984).

Barack Obama's latest knife in the back for Britain – and there have been many - should sound an alarm around the corridors of Whitehall. David Cameron's recent trip to Washington was an undignified exercise in hero-worship toward a rabid leftie who doesn't even like the British. The prime minister should understand that Barack Obama is no friend of Britain and never will be. One only needs to read The Prez Dude's fantasy novel "Dreams From My Father" to understand why.

The Obama presidency has beeen the most consistently anti-British US administration of modern times. No amount of photo-ops at college basketball games, glamorous flights on Air Force One, or lavish state dinners stuffed full of Democrat fundraisers and donors will change that. The Presi9dent hates us because he his a professional "African - Amerucan how has digesated all the toxic lies ofg race hustlers like Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Stolkeley Carmichael. To Mr Obama, the Prime Minister is little more than a convenient campaign prop: a compliant figure, popular with American voters, who can be paraded in frtont of the U. S. media to reinforce the image stuffed down the throats of the Ameriocan public by a sycophantic and tiotally biased media the impression "the beloved President" actually has friends on the world stage rather than being a laughing stock, a limp wisted pouf who has caved in and let himself be shafted up the arse by every leader who has stood up to him. He is popular only because his weakness, his attention seeking and desire to be loved has made America weak. It is time for David Cameron's reckless adulation of the Obama White House to come to an end.

President Obama doesn't believe in the Special Relationship, he sowed this in Colombia as well confuddling the Falkland Islands or Malvinas as his pro Argentine bias causes hin to try to call them, with the Maldives, the populaar holiday destination in the Indian Ocean, showing that far from the sharp witted intellectual he is presented as, he his no brighter than George W. Bush, but lacks Bush's charm and humour. Britain's true friends in the USA are not the authoritarian, politically correct, racist, iliberal "liberals"but American conservatives who are the natural allies of Britain, not the big-government liberals who support the wannabe currently occupying the White House, cheering him ecstatically when he promises to rule by decree if the elected assembly wil not do what he wants them to, and doing their best to import the European social model and EU-style bureacracy and regulations into America. The Obama administration has been relentlessly New World Order internationalist from the day it took office, backing every step towards further European integration, and supporting planbs to extend the E. U. to include African and Middle Eastern nations. Obama and his followers, the new elite, are not the allies of national sovereignty or democracy Europe.

With his embarrassing fawning over Obama, Mr Cameron has been burning bridges with the Right in America, while gaining nothing for his country other than an ally wo cannot be trusted, who would go to almost any lengths to damage Britain. With the latest Gallup polls showing Obama trailing in the presidential race, with scandals looming and the true depth of America's economic crisis about to be exposed, it would be prudent for the British government to rethink its entire approach towards the current White House, and start reaching out to US conservatives, who respect Britain and do actually believe in the Special Relationship. We may be divided by a common language as someone once put it, but we do share a set of traditional values.

Unemployment Falls As Part Time Working Hits Record Levels And More Drop Out Of The Workforce

by Xavier Connolly

The fall in unemployment announced today will lead to a burst of false optimism in the media and a lot of silly talk from politicians about "green shoots of recovery" and other such meaningless phraes. Employment experts warn the fall in joblessness is masked by "underemployment", including a record high in the numbers of Britons being forced to work part-time.

The number of people having to work part time because there are few suitable full-time jobs available has risen by 89,000 between December and January and now stands at 1.4m - the highest figures since records began in 1992.

The rise in part-time working hasa briught down overall unemployment, which fell for the first time in almost a year by 0.1pc over the period to reach 2.6)5m. The figure was again helped by numbers of people whose allotted time on jobseekers allowance has expired being reclassified as not economically active and dropped from the register. The number of people classed as economically inactive, including those on long-term sick leave, students, those looking after a relative or who have given up looking for work, fell by 25,000 to 9.27 million, a rate of 23pc.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said changes to the way women's benefits are calculated, such as moving single mothers off lone parents' allowance and onto Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), account for some of the rise in female unemployment.

Significantly the number of people claiming JSA increased for the 17th month in a row in March, up by 3,600 to 1.61 million, the smallest monthly rise since last December. Long-term unemployment hit a 16-year high, with the number of people out of work for over a year jumping by 26,000 to 883,000.

There was bad news for people in work too. Average earnings increased by 1.1pc in the year to February, down by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month to the lowest since the summer of 2010 but with inflation running at 3.5% (official) or 5.5% (real inflation, everybody was wrose off.

Average weekly pay in private firms is £459, compared with £477 in the public sector which is worth remembering when the public sector workers with their jobs for life and featherbedded pensions start whining about how hard done by they are..

Another Euro Bail Out Looms As Spain's Debt Spirals Out Of Control

by Phil T Luker

Firstly, we have a bit of a change, the nom de plume John de Roe, formerly used by our finance expert, has been replaced by Phil. T Luker because of branding issues.

The pain in Spain threatened to affect all European taxpayers as news emerged yesterday that the interest on Spanish sovereign debt had again risen to above the critical 6% level. This poses the threat of yet another bailout in Europe as stock markets fell sharply early today. Spain's economy, already stricken by lunatic green energy policies and unemployment running at close to 25%, facing a second brutal recession.

Spanish economy minister Luis de Guindos admitted that the country had 'probably' gone into recession again. He added that the nation's GDP was likely to have fallen during the last quarter and that the economy shrank 0.3 per cent. The official figures are yet to be released but the comments from Mr de Guindos will add fuel to the belief that Spain will suffer two successive quarters of falling GDP for the first time since 2009.

The news will also spook financial markets that the recession will make it impossible for Spain to meet deficit reduction targets and it will have to seek some kind of international bailout, like Greece, Ireland and Portugal.

There was little respite as the country's borrowing costs also soared further above 6 per cent today.

Spanish government ministers tried to suggest the latest downturn may not be as bad as first expected. One told El Mundo newspaper: "At the moment I see a first quarter with a similar pattern to the last quarter of last year. If you had asked me two months ago, I would have expected the first quarter of 2012 to be much worse than the last quarter of last year. But that's not going to be the case."

This sounds very unconvincing to us, all he is really saying is, "No matter how bad things get, they can always get worse."

Spain's conservative government says it is committed to making major budget cuts but there are worries that borrowing costs could quickly reach unaffordable levels unless the European Central Bank resumed buying government bonds in a programme which has helped to keep yields down in recent months. "Spanish industry is so depleted after years of socialism and "save the planet" activism in government, borrowing money through the bond markets is the only way the country can fund its ongoing obligations.

The bad news from Spain comes as George Osborne prepares to sign an agreement that Britain will commit another £10bn to the International Monetary Fund. The IMF has been pushing to increase its resources from $400bn (£250bn) to about $1 trillion. It is time the Conservative led government in Britain got the message from it's supporters that trying to save the Euro is just throwing good money after bad. The ~Internationalist Euronazis leading this effort to save the single currency at all costs fear that if the Euro fails it will be the end of their dream of a single European superstate run by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. The British government should not be supporting such and illiberal and undemocratic shower of scumbags. We need to be reducing our own deficit.

George Osborne is fortunately not as slavishly devoted to Euronaziism as David Cameron and Nick Clegg. He is expected to support the IMF's calls for greater resources in back-room negotiations only if agreement can be struck with all the major non-eurozone nations, except the US.

US Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner has made it clear the US will not make any further contributions until the eurozone has bolstered its own bail-out fund sufficiently. With the loonytoon President still crazy as a shithouse rat and wanting to thrown $$$billions at black activist organisations, the USA has a bigger debt timebomb ticking in it's basement than any European nation.

Benefits Cheats Are Living Abroad On The Money They Steal From You

by Ed Butt

A new blitz on benefit fraudnnounced by aWork and Pensiins Minister Ian Duncan Smith today will aim to stamp out cheats who claim state benefits while living abroad. Scams that cost the taxpayer about £43million last year included claimants failing to report they had moved abroad. Relatives frequently continue to claim benefits for people who have died. Other fraudsters claim cash while working overseas, exaggerate disabilities or fail to report assets, including savings, property and even yachts. Overseas benefit fraud hotspots include Spain, Portugal and the US, but some cases have been traced to Thailand and Sweden. Britons living overseas can still claim some benefits, including their state pension. Sickness and disability allowances can also be claimed, depending on individual circumstances and whether your stay abroad is temporary or permanent. But Disability Living Allowance, Pension Credit, Income Support, Jobseeker’s Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance cannot be claimed abroad. The latest crackdown will require officials from the Department for Work and Pensions working more closely with Foreign Office officials, banks and overseas fraud investigators. It is part of efforts to reduce Britain’s multi-billion- pound welfare bill and control the Government’s debt mountain. RELATED POSTS:

German civil servant says he 'did nothing for 14 years'

by Ian R Thorpe

Both here in The Daily Stirrer and on our satirical blog, Boggart Blog we have often lobbed a few well aimed grenades at how this is not a problem confined to the UKpublic sector workers who moan about how hard done my they are. We have in fact suggested these people are the most under-employed workers in the world who actually draw a regular wage or salary and enjoy the benefit of a featherbedded pension at the end of it. Now, to show this is not a purely British problem a German civil servant has admitted that he "did nothing for 14 years" in frank retirement email sent to colleagues. Read full story

It remineds me of the time I spent as a very expensive information systems consultant working for the EU Commission in Luxembourg. At the end of my six month contract I had the option to renew but as I had been there half a year and not found out what I was supposed to be doing and as a good contract for a big Investment Bank in London was on offer I left. If I had not ben so adverse to boredom I might not have burned out at age 50, in fact I could well have been there still, wondering what I was supposed to be doing.

The Eurozone slow Motion Train Wreck Is Still Happening

Some people, even among the well informed crew of sceptics who read The Daily Stirrer may have been taken in by all the politicians' lies and the official statistics based on manipulated data, and believed things could only get better. Well no matter how many band aids the New World Order stick over the gaping wound in the global economy, the blood soon starts gusing out again. It's the debt you see, no matter how much money is shovelled into the botomless pit of a structuiral defecit, the huge welfare bills run up by contries that bough into the politically correct, soft socialism of "all join hands and sing Kumbaya" politcs, many nations can only fund their obligations by borrowing. Greece, Ireland and Portugal we all know about. Italy and Spain represent much bigger problems. Two stories from today's news show why:

Italy's borrowing costs double at a short-term debt auction, while European stock markets rise as investors take stock after yesterday's sell-off. Italy's longer-term borrowing costs have fallen fairly sharply today. Yields on 10-year bonds are down nearly 0.25pc, at 5.463pc. Spanish benchmark yields are down 16 basis points, at 5.777pc.

The Bank of Italy said that the higher yields reflected renewed eurozone bond market tensions. At today's bond auction a range of short-term debt was sold at much higher rates than at its last auction. The Italian Treasury sold €8bn of one year bills at average interest rates of 2.84pc - more than double the 1.405pc seen at the last auction on March 13. There were 1.5 bidders for every bond on offer (vs. 1.38 at the last auction). It also sold €3bn of three-month bills at average yields of 1.249pc - compared with 0.492pc at the last auction.

This is in spite of the austerity measures imposed by the EU appointed bureaucratic dictatorship in the wake of last autuimn's Italian crisis. Spain's toubles are worse than Italy's, with unemployment running at over 20% and the government still facong huge bills for it's insanely generous support of the green energy industry which sees Spanish taxpayer's paying foreign operators for the energy generated by solar farms during the hours of darkness.

Ralf Preusser, Merrill Lynch's rates strategist, ahs given the reasons why he thinks "Spain is more vulnerable than other troubled Eurozone countries":

Spanish and Italian banks’ funding concerns are not equal, with Spanish banks continuing to experience deposit outflows in February, while in Italy, deposits rebounded sharply. Interestingly, despite the deleveraging efforts in Spain, loan/deposit ratios there have been creeping up, while they have fallen in Italy (in Spain at their high since beginning of 2011, in Italy at their low). In January and February, Italian banks have seen their deposit (relative to loan) funding improve by EUR 28 bn, while Spanish banks have crystallized a funding need of EUR 8 bn. Given the analysis from our banks’ analysts on the long-term funding side, Italian banks also raised EUR 8 bn more in long-term funding compared to maturities over the same time-frame, while Spanish banks exactly covered their redemptions.

He may be a victim of over optimism about Italy but he is right about Spain. .As one of our friends commented, "The show ain't over til the fat landy sings and in this show she has not even entered the building yet.

Muslim Brotherhood chooses chaos

Last week Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood signaled its intent to push the country into economic chaos. With foreign exchange reserves barely equal to two months' imports and panic gripping the Egyptian economy, the Brotherhood's presidential candidate Khairat al-Shater issued a warning that the organization would block a US$3 billion emergency loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) unless the military government ceded power to the Islamists who have in the past openly stated they intend to turn Egypt into a Muslim theocracy and impose Sharia Law..

"We told them you have two choices. Either postpone this issue of borrowing and come up with any other way of dealing with it without our approval, or speed up the formation of a government," Khairat al-Shater told Reuters news agency.

The news service added that al-Shater "said he understood the country's finances were precarious and a severe crunch could come by early to mid-May at the end of the fiscal year

Last week, Egypt's central bank reported that total reserves had fallen to $15 billion, but - more importantly - liquid foreign exchange reserves had fallen to only $9 billion, equivalent to just two months' imports. Foreign exchange futures markets expect the Egyptian pound to lose half its value during the next year, and Egyptians have responded by hoarding diesel fuel, propane gas and other necessities.

With half of Egypt's population living on $2 a day or less, the expected devaluation would push a significant part of the population below minimum nutrition levels, and balloon the government's deficit as the cost of subsidizing imported necessities rose. Egypt imports half its caloric consumption.

As usual The Daily Stirrer taks no pleasure in saying "We told you so."

Ken Livingstone's Policies Are As Dodgy As His Tax Returns

With Easter over the focus for news shifts (we hope) from the middle east, the Eurozone economy and and the decay of western society to the campaign to be elected Mayor of London. With Conservative Boris Johnson opening up a significant lead his Labour opponent Ken Livingstone, having seen a desperate big to woo the Islamist vote backfire as it alienated many white voters while not impressing the deeply conservative and very influential Muslim business community has been desperately trying to change the subject away from his tax avoidance – a “distraction,” apparently, from his preferred campaigning style of “American model identity politics. If Ken truly believes the question of his dodgy tax affairs is a distraction why was he the first candidate to raise the subject of the candidates’ earnings? Clearly, American-style personalised politics, like tax avoidance, is one of those thing that the "progressive left" think has two sets of rules, one for their opponents and another, much more lax and permissive set for them. Ron Paul's American Revolution

from Politico

Ron Paul isn’t going to win the Republican presidential nomination, and his long Capitol Hill career is coming to end.

But even as he winds down his career in elected office, his voice is being amplified across the country by dozens of House and Senate candidates who are seeking to carry on his legacy.

Paul activists of all ages, backgrounds and levels of political experience have taken to the campaign trail this year, inspired by the Texas congressman’s presidential campaign and a libertarian-infused message that has gotten more traction with voters than ever before.

There’s no exact way of measuring how many Paul-inspired candidates are running this year. But Jared Paine, a Paul supporter who operates a website that tracks the campaigns of libertarian-minded candidates, said he counted around two dozen active Paul backers who are running for House or Senate seats and another 200 or so who are seeking local offices — almost all of them running as Republicans.

It’s a measure of the depth of the passion Paul inspires from his supporters, which is marked by a ferocity and commitment to the cause that few other pols can command

What Ron Paul is doing in the USA then is much like whaty the UK Independence Party (UKIP) are trying to do in Britain, i.e. try to provide an alternative to the politically correct concensus of the mainstream parties. In Britain the Conservative and Labour party policies have become indistinguishable from each other, as with the Democrats and Republicans in the USA both try to buy votes with unffordale social benefits, both cling to sacred cows such as the idea that mass immigration is a good thing, both take the votes of their core constituency for granted as they vie for the votes of ethinic and sexual minorities by caving in to unreasonable demands that effectively make the people complaining they are oppressed into privileged groups who can flout the law at will.

People are fed up of the old way of doing politics, of elitists looking after each others' interests, doing deals behind closed doors.

Good luck to Ron Paul, as Politico say he will not win the nomination but at the age of 76 he probably does not want it. And good luck to UKIP too, though dismissed by the left as a bunch of right wing nutters they are playing the role of mavericks, troublemakers and upholders of traditional values such as the right to free sppech and self determination so gladly abandoned by the Liberal Democrats in return for a sniff at the skany knickers of the whore Power.

We neede politicians who represent the interests of their consituents not lackeys who represent the interests of their party's biggest financial supporters.

Are The Lib Dems More Fascist Than Labour

by Ed Butt
EXPLOSIVE claims by a Lib Dem Cabinet minister that the Government is more pro-European than Labour sparked fury among senior Tories last night. According the the magazine New Statesman the remarks were made during an interview that the magazine said was done over “a pot of tea and a gin.

Quite a few gins, it seems but it's nice of the New Statesman to grass up another closet neo-fascist posing as a Liberal Democrat.

David Cameron steeped in swiftly to slap down Energy Secretary Ed Davey’s claim that it would be “reckless” to rule out joining the single currency in the next few years. The Conservatives were angered by the single European naton enthusiast's comments which underlined the gulf between the pro-EU Lib Dems and their coalition partners.

However one Tory eurosceptic, Douglas Carswell Douglas Carswell said: “Ed Davey seems to have let the cat out of the bag. Far from being a eurosceptic government bringing back powers from Brussels, the Government seems to be run by the senior civil service, for the senior civil service and of the senior civil service, and the senior civil service are europhile to their fingertips. This is the most europhile government since Edward Heath’s. I don’t like what Ed Davey says but it’s refreshing to have honesty and truth.”

He added: “Since this administration took office they have transferred more powers to Brussels, they have spent billions bailing out European monetary union and they are implementing domestic reforms at the behest of EU directives.

As the Daily Stirrer has often reported, despite their posturings aimed at fooling an E U screptic electorate, all three main parties are rabidly pro EU and would glasdly sell out our nation to be part of a sigle European superstate run by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.

On joining the euro, Mr Davey said he did not think Britain should do so in the next few years but that “you’d be an unwise person ever to rule something out totally” – as the Conservatives have done. Mr Cameron said later: “The Government’s position is absolutely clear which, is that we are not joining the euro. My personal view is that I think Britain should never join the euro. “I think there are many challenges we face in terms of our economy, but it is hugely helpful to have a situation where we have our own monetary policy to suit our own needs.”

Tory MP Stewart Jackson, who resigned as a ministerial aide in October to vote for an EU referendum, said: “Ed Davey should get on with his day job and stop contemplating his navel about issues that aren’t in his remit.

“My advice to Lib Dems is that if they want to campaign at the next general election as the most vociferously pro-European party, good luck with that because they are a million miles from what ordinary voters think about Europe."

This is absolutely true and it is why the Liberal Democrats will be virtually wioed out at the next election. It's leaders and party activists are totally out of touch with the electorate and sare so deluded they think they can impose the oligarchic collectivist doctrine they share with most of Labour's authoritarians on the electorate.

One word. RESPECT!

Companies also reported a rise in volumes of new business as well as getting more business from existing clients. On a monthly basis, the Markit/CIPS services PMI rose to 55.3 in March from 53.8 in February, far above the 50 level than divdes growth from contraction. Economists had expected expansion in the sector to slow in March, forecasting a fall in the PMI to 53.4.

David Noble, chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, said the PMI data demonstrated that "fears of a double dip recession were unfounded".

Chris Williamson, chief economist at Markit, suggested the British economy had grown by as much as 0.5pc in the first quarter, with the services sector, which accounts for around 75pc of the British economy, expanding by around 0.7pc.

Today's services data rounds-off a positive month for the economy that saw the UK's manufacturing and construction sectors expand at a faster pace than economists had expected.

But Mr Williamson described it as "no run-away recovery. Job creation and inflows of new business continue to run well below rates generally seen in the years prior to the financial crisis,” he said.

Samuel Tombs, UK economist at Capital Economics also highlighted that the strong rise in the services PMI failed to account for a recent decline in activity on the high street.

"Moreover, even if the economy did grow in Q1, the prospect of a renewed rise in tensions in the euro-zone, further fiscal austerity and high oil prices suggest that the economy will struggle to expand in the coming quarters," he added.

Are these the first green shoots. Or it it just a plakkie bag from a pound shop we see peeping through the snow. We'll keep you posted

Obama, the Hypocrite In Chief, Says Supreme Court Is Only Right When It Agrees With Him

by Ed Butt
We report this in The Daily Stirrer because we see signs of the politicisation of justice creeping into the British system On Monday of this week President Obama warned that any attempt by the Supreme Court to strike down the allegely unconstitutional individual healthcare mandate would be “judicial activism” of the very worst kind.

“I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress,” he said. In fact, the Supreme Court does that a lot – that’s sort of the point of judicial review. But for the uninitiated, it could sound like the Pres has embraced the noble, ordinarily conservative critique of judicial activism. Is Barack Obama a Newt Gingrich in sheep’s clothing?

In fact, Obama has consistently spoken out against judicial activism. In his book Audacity of Hope, pre-White House Obama, posing as the people's friend, was scathing of the use of the courts to achieve what the Democrats had failed to get past congress:

“In our reliance on the courts to vindicate not only our rights but also our values, progressives have lost too much faith in democracy. Elections, particularly presidential elections, became about gaining the power to appoint sympathetic justices: Instead of relying on Senate procedures, there was one way to ensure that judges on the bench reflected our values, and that was to win at the polls. Process replaced populism, and that widened the gulf between an elite liberal judiciary and the common voter".

Soaring rhetoric indeed, wonder who wrote it for him.

In passages like this Obama sounds like a strict constitutionalist who wants the worlds of Congressional mandate and judicial review to remain separate and unequal. But things aren’t that simple. The Prez Dude insists that while the judiciary should not subvert the authority of the congress\ (i.e. We The People), its decisions should always seek to reflect their values and wishes. Obama's preference for “judicial empathy” means appointments to the Supreme Court should favour: “Someone who understands that justice isn't about some abstract legal theory or footnote in a case book … It is also about how our laws affect the daily realities of people's lives — whether they can make a living and care for their families; whether they feel safe in their homes and welcome in their own nation.”

In the oval office his perspective is changed and Barack Obama defines judicial activism as anything that contradicts the needs of the folks who vote for him whikle anything he thinks might help him get relected is "Judicial empathy". And he defines those he hopes will vote for him as a coalition of the downtrodden and oppressed who all need a little governmental activism in their lives: the real people, the little people, the people with whom judges should have empathy.

Therefore, while no court should touch Obamacare (which benefits the poor Obama voters), the administration does not have a problem with federal courts overturning anti-gay marriage referenda in the states (which benefit gay and lesbian Obama voters). Likewise Roe v Wade – surely one of the most compelling examples of judicial activism in American history – is thought to benefit women/feminists and so is A-Okay with this administration. In fact Obama went so far as to issue a note of celebration for Roe v Wade on the anniversary of its passage, saying that the decision, “affirms every woman’s fundamental constitutional right to choose whether to have an abortion, as well as each American’s right to privacy from government intrusion. I have, and continue to, support these constitutional rights … Today and every day, we must strive to ensure that all women have limitless opportunities to fulfill their dreams.” Doesn’t it make the heart soar?

Well what is a legal imperitive requiring people to buy insurance if it is not government intrusion into their private affairs.

Judicial empathy produces in Obama a paradoxical (or as the bloody minded among us might say “hypocritical”) approach towards judicial review. One columnist at Red State points out,

“In 2003, the United States Congress passed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003 by substantially larger margins than Obamacare. When the Supreme Court refused to strike down this law, which was passed by a “democratically elected Congress,” the limp wristed one, a state senator then, threw a humdinger of a hissy fit about the fact that the Supreme Court had upheld the clear will of Congress (and the vast majority of the American people) rather than doing what the effete metropolitan elite wanted.

However, when it’s his own legislation at stake, Obama seems suddenly ready to go back and undo pretty much every Supreme Court precedent over the last 200 years in order to strip the Court of their power to rule on any question of law.”

In short, Obama opposes judicial activism where he deems it to contradict the will of the people who vote his way, but calls it judicial empathy and endorses it when it upholds his point of view. The only “empathy” he wants to see are decisions that accord with his socialist, some might say authoritarian agenda which he feels is mandated by his 2008 presidential election, despite the fact that public opinion has actually turned against much of his platform.

Why hasn’t quantitative easing worked for the UK economy?

by John de Roe
Ministers of the Coalition government have waxed lyrical about how the UK economy would avoid another recession and start to grow this year, or at least stagnate. But according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) we are going to enter another recession on April’s Fool Day. The Daily Stirrer told you this was inevitable of course.

How the government get it as wrong as their Labour predeccessor? Easay, both listened to the same academics, the same 'experts', people who have only experienced the world of business and finance through the theories of economists and political scientists whose whole careers have been spen in the cloistered environment of universities or the mable halls of government.

Successive governmemts, through the Bank Of England have now pumped around £350bilion into the economy and yet the recovery hassn't ever got off the starting blocks. Haven’t the Bank of England’s (BOE) quantitative easing exercises (QE) helped us all?

Well, yes and no. It depends on what the Bank wants to achieve by purchasing government assets (bonds). Basically the bank buys worthless IOUs from the government, using money contributed by we the poor punters. The second round of QE that started in September of last year was a pre-emptive move to limit damage when the Eurozone debt crisis exploded leading to a Lehman-like economic crisis. The UK is highly exposed to European debt and rather than promote growth QE was used as a monetary buffer to ensure that in the event of a major problem over the water the banking system had enough money to survive.

This was followed in February with another £50 billion of funds from the BOE. The reason for this move is slightly less clear. The economy had shown signs of picking up (it has since deteriorated) and the Eurozone crisis had stabilised somewhat. However, the bond markets expected more QE so the Bank had to give it what it wants.

QE is supposed to move money to the banks through the funds they raise by selling their UK government debt back to the Bank of England. ory this cashIn the then lent out to the wider economy. That is the traditional view, but it has some other effects too. If there is a buyer of Gilts with a voracious appetite (like the BOE) then it reduces borrowing costs for the government – as bond prices rise, yields fall. This is fantastic news for a country that needs to borrow GBP 126 billion this year to finance its budget deficit so long as you overlook the fact that the government is borrowing money from itself.

One of the biggest problems in the UK at the moment is rising unemployment and youth unemployment in particular. But just because QE has pumped money into the economy doesn’t mean that more jobs are going to be created. Banks may not lend out money because they need to hold larger capital buffers due to new regulations. Also, they may be under financial pressure and are worried they may not be able to finance themselves in the wholesale funding markets going forward. Hence they squirrel the money away by borrowing it from the government at the stupidly low rate of 0.5% that has held for three years now, and lend it straight back (by buying bonds) at a higher rate. Small businesses who represent a higher risk to government, don't get a look in.

Interest rates have been falling and corporate bond issuance in the US, where companies are active in the bond markets, has topped $1 trillion in the first three months of the year. Thus, to really benefit from the effects of QE you need to be active in financial markets.

As expectations grow of more QE in May if the UK falls back into recession, the public needs to remember that QE only effects the upper echelons of the economy, and just because the BOE prints more cash doesn’t mean that the unemployment rate will come down or that we will start to see genuine growth anytime soon.

Meanwhile all is not well in the Eurozone either as Unemployment his a new high.

In spite of all the political chicanery aimed at creating the impression that the Euro single currency had been saved, all is not well for the (B)euro(c)rats of Brussels. Eurozone unemployment has climbed to its highest level since the euro was introduced, official data released today has revealed.

The eurozone unemployment rate crept up to 10.8pc in February, from 10.7pc in January, according to European Union statistics office Eurostat. This means more than 17m people are now out of work in the single currency area.

Across the EU, the unemployment rate was 10.2pc in February, compared with 10.1pc in January.

Muslim Brotherhood Seeks Power In Egypt - We Told You So.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/egypt/9179297/Muslim-Brotherhood-raises-fears-among-liberals-as-it-names-presidential-candidate.html The nomination of Khairat el-Shater, a millionaire businessman, puts the Islamist movement within reach of taking power in an Arab country for the first time in its 84-year history.

While many Egyptians will welcome the announcement, it is almost certain to heighten fears among liberals and Coptic Christians that the Brotherhood is seeking a monopoly on power with the intention of creating an Islamic state.

Senior officials in the movement defended the move, saying they had been left with no choice after the transitional military leadership prevented them from forming a civilian government despite securing an overwhelming victory in parliamentary elections earlier this year.

Another EU Wannabe Declares War On Free Speech A very dangerous and worrying trend, which has been gathering momentum for some time, has entered a new dimension in recent weeks. The Crminalisation Of Dissent
There is a growing trend in what we like to think of as the free world to curtail civil rights, transfer national sovereignty from elected law making bodies to supra national bureaucracies and enact new laws restricting free speech and press freedom. Jeremy Bentham's ideal prison has become a metaphor for the world we have created.

New Global Crisis Imminen, New Geneva Report Warns The Geneva Report refers to a “poisonous combination of high and rising global debt and slowing nominal GDP [gross domestic product], driven by both slowing real growth and falling inflation”. The total burden of world debt, private and public, has risen from 160 per cent of national income in 2001 to almost 200 per cent after the crisis struck in 2009 and 215 per cent in 2013. “Contrary to widely held beliefs, the world has not yet begun to delever and the global debt to GDP ratio is still growing, breaking new highs,” the report said.

Farage Reckless Facing Rabid Left Wing Fanatics
Following the defection to UKIP of Conservative MP Mark Reckless, who yesterday shocked the media and political establishment (everyone else knew it was on the cards.) by announcing his switch from con to Kipper from the podium at the closing session of UKIP's conference, the Kippers latest recruit and his new leader yesterday faced angry but ineffectual protests

Vaclav Klaus, the free world's last honest politician: the West’s lies about Russia are monstrous.
There are few people in politics who will say in public the things that really think, thanks to the hypersensitivity of the American political establishment and their enthusiasm for bombing the crap out of anyone who upsets members of their anointed minorities. Its refreshing then to learn of comments made by veteran Czech Republic leader, putting the boot into the cowardly mealy mouthed sum who pass for conservative and libertarian politicians in the English Speaking countries.

Why Do Government Information Technology Projects always Screw Up? Because Everything Governmrent Touches Becomes Political
While scientists burble excitedly about the internet of things, computer-brain interfaces that will enable the government to control us from data centres, creating human / computers hybrids and other science fantasy rubbish as if any of it stands a chance of becoming reality, government Information Technology managers, with almost unlimited resources at their disposal, can't even manage to cobble together a simple database and search routine. The failure of the e borders project is the latest in a long line of screw ups.

Ukip takes on free market corporatists: Britain's immigration debate gets interesting
Immigration was the subject of the big debate at UKIP's conference in doncaster today. With the Rotherham paedophile scandal which involved Muslim men in the immigrant community abusing young white girls as open sore in South Yorkshire politics at the moment the topic was long overdue for serious debate. One of the reasons the Rotherham scandal happened was the politically correct left scremed racism whenever issue was raised. Immigrants are not above the law.

The Third Gulf War Has Started - Should Britain Get Involved
For the third time in twenty five years a British Prime ~Minister has led the nation into a war in Iraq. It's understandable that Iraquis might be a bit pissed off with us. This time the threat is not a brutal dictator like Saddam hussein or Muammar Gadaffi, the Libyan leader we helped depose, but Islamic State, a concept, an idea, but also a rabble of bloodthirsty maniacs funded by European and American money, aremed with European and American weapons and trained by European and American 'military advisers.

War In Iraq? Lard Bombs Away (SATIRE)
As usual Boggart Blog is totally against Britain becoming embroiled in another sectarian conflict in the middle east (the theme tune of which will be I Hate You Babe by Sunni and Shia.) But rather than send our clapped out, thirty year old warplanes to fire rockets and heavy calibre cannons and drop bombs on the IS, bearing in mind these guys are all fundamentalist Muslims we have a better idea. We can beat the Islamic State without shedding HUMAN blood.

Derbyshire Chief Constable Claims He Was Forbidden To Arrest Former Labour Minister Or Search His Home">South Yorkshire Police Commissioner Shaun Wright Finally Resigns Over Rotherham Child Abuse Scandal
Police chiefs blocked a paedophile probe into a top politician 25 years ago, one of the country’s most senior officers said yesterday. Derbyshire Chief Constable Mick Creedon was serving as a detective sergeant in Leicestershire when allegations surfaced against Labour MP Greville Janner in 1989. Mr Creedon said he was ordered to limit his inquiries into the MP, now Lord Janner of Braunstone.

Disaster Dave's Latest Screw Up On The International Stage
Tomorrow (26 September, 2014) the UK Parliament will meet to vote on whether Britain should support Prime Minister David Cameron and US President and Warmonger - in - Chief Barack Hussein Obama in launching yet another war in the middle east, this time against the forces of the Islamic Caliphate, a fundamentalist organisation set up by groups funded armed and trained by the USA and its allies in their quest to overthrow the regime of Bashar Al Assad in Syria.

War In Iraq: Confused? You Will Be
I'm always a bit wary about referring to The Daily Mail because mere mention of that rather sensationalist but immensely popular newspaper (compare its circulation figures with those of The Guardian or The Independent) is likely to attract a Two Minutes Hate session from Britain's biggest fascist movement,

Love Like Chains (poem)
There are needy lovers and there are controlling lovers (the lovers in my case have always been female but I know men fall into these categories too). They often seem to be modelled from the same clay. Having always been self contained person who liked to stand apart from the crowd I have never did very well in love affairs with either type. This poem is not adressed to a specific person but an amalgam.

Miliband Promises Same Old Shite - Not A Word About Action Against Paedophile Sex Gangs
Labour leader Ed Miliband's keynote speech at the Labour Party conference woyuld have to be the best speech of his life if he hoped to be Prime Minister after next years election, the consensus of opinon said. Ed's friends and opponents awaited the speech with very different hopes and expectations. in the end as Ed dodged the bg issues, the economy and debt, law and order, immigration and Europe, it was probably his enemies who were happier.

In Praise Of Sluts - Tits Out For The Boys Miley
In the last 24 hours both Marianne Faithfull and Jacqueline Bisset have criticised today's young women for dressing provocatively, the teasers for a story in today's news said.
Marrianne Faithfull, no slouch in the sluttiness stakes herself back in the 1960s but to a teenage male all the more appealing for that (I still get a little tingle when I look at a Mars Bar), told ITV News that Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and other good looking young pop tarts are, quite simply, sluts. She gave her reasoning thus:

'There is Only One Planet': The Bemusing Claims of London's Climate Warriors
Apparently blissfully unaware of their hypocrisy, marchers have left placards emblazoned with complaints about the government and environmental issues strewn around on the pavement. The thousands of left-wing activists who descended shouting and stomping through London’s streets no doubt moved on to bars, restaurants or their homes to smugly congratulate themselves on having done their bit for Mother Nature, unsurprisingly not only expecting other people to pay for everything they demand,

A Bunch Of Self Obsessed Air Heads Only Interested In Publicity
The headline sums up some of the speakers or yesterday's climate change protest in London. But we know scientists are vacuous wannabe celebrities. The surprising thing was the showbiz and media luvvies showed themselves even more stupid and out of touch with reality. Take Emma Thompson. A fine actress but we should remember her job is pretending to be somebody else. and having spent most of her life pretending to be somebody else, when ...

Nationalism the new target for left wing screechers
The screechers have a new target for their hate, Nationalism. OMFG, I am sick of seeing on Facebook and other Sheeple sites posts from the army of bandwagon followers condemning nationalism. Hate attacks on Andy Murray because he voted Yes for Scottish Independence were deplorable, the bloke is entitled to his opinion FFS. The lefties hater did not stop there however, attacks on his mother are just disgusting (but entirely typical of the Labour voting, free speech hating, all-things-British loathing, bourgeois left scum.)

Rotherham Childcare Chief Quits Over Mass Sex Abuse Scandal

After weeks of mounting pressure and in the wake of resignations by council political leaders and senior exectutives and also of the recently elected Police Crime Commissioner for the scandal hit town, Joyce Thacker the head of children's services at Rotherham council has finally quit. Following the revelation of a massive cover up by elected representative, police and care professionals who went to considerable lengths to avoid acting on allegations of organised sex abuse gangs consisting mostly of

GCHQ employs more than 100 dyslexic spies. So what?
A lot of people in comment threads seemed eager to get their knickers in a twist this morning about a story headlined: GCHQ employs more than 100 dyslexic and dyspraxic spies. The story tells how the government snoopers intelligence agency down in Cheltenham uses dyslexics' ability to analyse complex information in a 'dispassionate, logical and analytical' in the fight against terror.

Obama administration ‘blocking' information from the press
Uncovering information that should be available to the public has become increasingly difficult under the presidency of Barack Obama, an Associated Press bureau chief says. In some cases, it surpasses the secrecy of the George W. Bush administration. The White House's penchant for secrecy does not just apply to the federal government, according to AP's Washington bureau chief, Sally Buzbee.

An Interesting Perspective From Across The Pond On The Scottish Referendum Result
The almost inevitable accusations of fraud and vote rigging are beginning to emerge in the wake of the Scottish independence referendum. Surprisingly the likely culprit most fingers are pointing at is not the SNP, leaders of the YES campaign or the Westminster government which wanted to avoid the embarrassment of a no, but the Euronazis in Brussels whose plans for a single European nation would have suffered from a YES vote.

Submerged forests' drowned by ancient climate change revealed by 2014 storms.
Here's yet another smack in the mouth for those smug, condescending scientists who talk down to the rest of us. Far from being a new thing, climsste change was affecting the environment at the beginning of the Bronze age. How many fossil fuel burning power stations did the beaker people have then, and how many Chelsea tractors were tearing up and down the ridgeways?

1000 Scientists Break Ranks On Global Warming - Laugh? I Nearly Shat
You've all heard from members of the Church Of Scienceology Cult about how there was total consensus (despite a lack of empirical evidence) that the planet is warming so rabidly there are now no ice caps at either the North or South Poles, that the last polar bear perished when someone ate its Fox's Glacier Mint and that there are now ...

How To Be Totally Uncool (By TryingTo Look Cooler Than You Are)
Many of the 4700 people camped outside the Apple store on New York's 5th Avenue in the picture above are unemployed (and very likely being paid cash in hand by others to queue for days). Few, if any, among either the campers or the buyers will spend $3,600 for a "gold" iPhone like someone in China just did. But those who are buying will gladly pay ...

South Yorkshire Police Commissioner Shaun Wright Finally Resigns Over Rotherham Child Abuse Scandal The man who bears most responsibility for failure to investigate the Rotherham child abuse scandal has finally resigned after three weeks of excuses and evasions. Police Commissioner Wright has been under pressure ever since a report by Prof Alexis Jay (see below) revealed a huge level of child abuse in the South Yourkshire town of Rotherham. The organised sex crime rings had been operating for ...

UKIP MEP Received Death Threats After Criticizing Rotherham's Labour Council Council Over Sex Abuse Scandal Jane Collins, the UKIP Member of the European Parliament for Yorkshire, has been speaking out about the failure of the senior police officers, the social services department managers in Rotherham and leaders of the Labour controlled council all of whom failed to act on allegations that groups of mainly Pakistani men were carrying out the organised sexual abuse of under age girls who found themselves in the care of the authorities.

Bill Gates Foundation Giving Millions to Top University In Order To Influence GMO “Debate” - It Must Be Dodgy
Former Microsoft CEO and mega mogul Bill Gates has long utilized his vast fortune to push genetically modified organisms (GMOs) through his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, but Gates’ efforts have been met with sharp criticism from millions of grassroots activists both home and abroad.

Rotherham: In the face of such evil, who is the racist now?
Here's a question for wannabe Mastermind contestants. If South Yorkshire Police can mount a raid on the home of pop singer Sir Cliff Richard, two hundred miles away from their patch in pursuit of evidence linked to a single and unsubstantiated allegation of child sex abuse 30 years ago, why were the same South Yorkshire Police force unable to conduct a proper investigation into multiple allegations against men who raped 1,400 children over 16 years?

Denis MacShane: I was too much of a 'liberal leftie' and should have done more to investigate child abuse
In a rare mome

nt of candour disgraced former Labour Member Of Parliament for Rotherham, Dennis MacShane admitted he could have done more to protect the victims of sex abuse gangs in his constituency who preyed on young girls in the local authority care system. While maintaing he knew of no specific allegations MacShane said he could have investigated rumours circulating in the town.

Rotherham Abuse Cover Up Cover UP
Not so long ago we were venting our spleen about the selection of Judge Butler - Sloss to head up an inquiry about how allegations of paedophile offences by well known celebrities, politicians and establishment figures were covered up for many years. It turned out Lady Butler Sloss was the sister of the now deceased Attorney General Sir Michael Havers who was directly involved in
