Old Wounds Fester As Cameron Warns Of New Crisis

The world teeters on the brink of a the economic abyss as a new crisis gathers strength like a hurricane depression formong over the mid Atlantic. The crisis, if it tuirns into an economic hurricane, to sustain the metaphor, would leave countries like Britain staring into the void, David Cameron has warned.

The Prime Minister said that the failure of leaders in the US and Europe to tackle government deficits now "threatens the stability of the world economy".

Mr Cameron spoke as world stock markets crashed again, with the FTSE–100 suffering its biggest one day drop for more than two years.

Politicians, central bankers and investors are increasingly worried that the world's biggest economies are sliding back into a recession, dragged down by government debts. Sadly the time for worying is gone. What we are seeing, as the sticking plaster applied to the crisis of 2008 has fallen off, is that the boil that was the 2008 crisis has festered into an abcess. It is doubtful anyone has a clue what to do about it as political and business leaders continue to dcelude themselves that exporting industrial jobs to low labour cost economies, automating administrative jobs and driving retail jobs online is a good idea.

The slack cannot be made up by creating more university places and making vague promises that pointless research projects that only tell us what we already know wll generate jobs and income for the failing economy.

More gloomy economic data yesterday led one of the world's leading economists to say that Britain, the US and the eurozone are all already in recession, and warn of a second financial crisis worse than that of 2008–9. The Prime Minister spoke in Canada after delivering a blunt warning to President Barack Obama and eurozone leaders about the need to follow Britain's example and curb their deficits.

In a speech in Ottawa, Mr Cameron said that Western politicians must show more "leadership" and warned that political indecision would only worsen the crisis.

Google's Schmidt Tells US Senators "We're Not Mocrosoft

Read more: http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-20109654-93/schmidt-to-senators-google-is-no-microsoft/ Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt, giving his testimony to the Senate Judiciary subcommittee that focuses on antitrust began by recalling a ghost of the committee's past: Microsoft.

Schmidt never actually mentioned its arch enemy but it is clear the software giant was top of mind as he delivered his remarks.

"Twenty years ago," Schmidt told the committee, "a large technology firm was setting the world on fire. Its software was on nearly every computer. Its name was synonymous with innovation," Schmidt told senators. "But that company lost sight of what mattered. Then Washington stepped in."

Of course, that's a reference to Microsoft's pitched battle with trust busters in the late 1990s and early into the 2000s. Schmidt was incorrect there of course, Washington did not step in, the US government's antitrust watchdogs simply dropped their pants, touched their toes and invited Bill Gates and Co to shaft them up the arse.

How else can we explain the failure of the US Department of Justice to enforce their own laws and stop Microsoft using its dominant position to crush rivals.

Schmidt recalled serving as an executive at two companies that competed with Microsoft at the time, Sun Microsystems and Novell. That history has helped Google work hard to avoid becoming another Microsoft.

"I'm here today carrying a long history in the technology business and a very short message about our company: we get it," Schmidt said. "By that I mean that we get the lessons of our corporate predecessors." he told senators.

And Schmidt, without a hint of irony, asked the committee to not judge Google by recalling Microsoft's brutal business tactics. The Internet is open, he said, unlike a computer operating system. And customers can simply click on another site to try a rival's service.

People familiar with the industry will spot that right from the start Schmit is full of bullshit. One thing Google refuses to do is learn from the mistakes of others. They continue to make every mistake that Microsoft or IBM or others made in the past. Not only that, but Googles "we arn't the worst corporate offenders" arguments are pathetic. If Google wants to avoid the kind of sanction it has faced in Europe the company must take some responsibility for its actions, rather than just talking a good fight and playing for publicity. In terms of playing fair and doing right thing however, even Apple among the nastiest of corporate bullies and most manipulative public relations campaigners, looks much better than Google, the usurpers of privacy and vendors of all sorts of unpleasant crap. Google is a very bad place. The surprising thus is there are a lot of fucked up nerds out there who are actually flattered that Google steals their data and bombards them with pixelporn ads.

While I certainly hold Google to a high standard, I do not expect them to be perfect, no corporation will ever be. Google is about making money. As for "helping website owners monetize" ?!! Puh -leeeeeeeze. Google CRUSHES many more site owners than it helps. If you don't show up in the top ten and most don't because Google encourages users to the shallow and dull witted in framing their search criteria, you don't show up. Google takes the "wisdom of the crowd to extremes." If you are not prepared to be one of the crowd you cease to exist. Amazon (for example) goes through huge hoops to ensure that it shows up one almost any search where a product is even remotely concerned. But Amazon has the financial and human resources to do that. So, yeah Google helps Amazon, but because Amazon knows how to use and also pays Google for traffic by buying lots of ads.

Microsoft helped tens of thousands of ISVs (independent software vendors) get rich. The point is not whether a company helps some users make money or not. The point is not even if they have power or not (Google CAN be compared to Microsoft in the sense of the POWER it has). Schmidt's argument is that it is easier to test the waters on the internet versus in installing a new OS. It is a non sequitur. Google looks less overtly aggressive than Microsoft did because most people do not fully understand the business model of Google. The "user" is not really the customer for Google. The advertiser is. Google makes 95% of its money on advertising. Microsoft's customer WAS the user. Google uses some pretty strong tactics with it's advertising customers and the customer CANNOT just switch, because the customer needs access to a large market and ONLY through Google can it get that access. The person searching is NOT THE CUSTOMER...they are the user, the cannon fodder. And those of us who display Google's ads on our blogs or websites, we're nobody. OK, people can make third world wages from showing adsense ads but to think such people matter as individuals to Google is borderline insane. Google needs volume because response rates to online ads are lousy.

Big sites getting half a million or a million hits a day do not use adsense, they have partners who sell advertising direct for them.

Thus, Schmidt is giving a false argument to some extent in talking of the customer, the customer is the one who PAYS MONEY.

For Microsoft, one of the big battles was over the browser installed as part of the Windows suite. Their argument was the "user" (computer owner) could easily click on "install Netscape" any time they wanted. Microsoft still won the browser wars and dominated for some years. The point here is "ease of end user switching" is not a full, or valid argument and focusing only on the user.

The point at issue for Google is not about the user's choice of which search engine to use, but the manipulation of their search results. In video of the hearings Schmidt attempts to evade the question of how Google's results come up almost every time in the 3rd item listed in generic results. Yes, people can easily jump ship, but the majority of users do not know about this issue and frankly are not interested, therefore it is up to regulators to ensure that the big G does the right thing by people. Personally, I've found that for me Bing and Ask Jeeves give better results and are less ad focused.

Once people are aware of the issues with Google's behavior they will appreciate the title of a blog I posted a while ago, Don't Be Evil, That's Google's Job.

NHS Hospitals Cripped By PFI Schemes
Patient care is suffering at more than 60 NHS hospitals due to the financial press

ures imposed by PFI ( Private Finance Initiative) agreements imposted by the authoritarian Labour government Some hospital trusts are “on the brink of financial collapse” because of cost of these schemes dreamed up by Labour's loonytoons economists to help the party's biggest corporate donors pick the pockets of taxpayers.

Health Secretary Andrew Lansley says he has been contacted by 22 health service trusts which claim their "clinical and financial stability" is being undermined by the costs of the contracts, which the Labour government used extensively to fund public sector projects.

The Daily Telegraph reports today that the trusts in jeopardy include Barts and the London, Oxford Radcliffe, North Bristol, St Helens and Knowsley, and Portsmouth.

Between them the trusts run more than 60 hospitals which care for 12 million patients. There is already evidence that waiting lists for non–urgent operations have begun to rise as hospitals delay treatment to save money. Adding to this are growing fears over the impact of the financial crisis on care this winter.

It also emerged last night that the Coalition was expected to announce it is abandoning Labour's calamitous £12billion NHS computer scheme which was overspent almiost from the day it was announced. Ministers will dismantle the National Programme for IT, another "one size fits all" project started in 2002 by Labour's authoritarian statists which has never worked and never even managed to decide on the type of system needed. It wi;ll be replaced by regional schemes.

Schools Cut History Lessons In Favour Of Multiculturalism Classes

by Xavier Connolly
New research confirms what The Daily Stirrer has reported before, that rising numbers of secondary school pupils are receiving just two years of compulsory history lessons during secondary education instead of the recommended three because of pressure on school timetables.

Where history used to be one of the spaples of education it is incrasingly being squeezed out to make room on the timetable for topics like multiculturalis, racial awareness and feminism studies.

Many schools fail now to offer history as a separate subject at all – often merging it with geography to form generic “humanities” lessons.

The reseasrch also reveal some head teachers ban pupils from choosing history at GCSE-level because it is harder to gain good grades than in 'soft' subjects. Thus large numbers taking history might damage schools’ rakings in the all important league tables.

The informa is tion has been published in a study by the Historical Association that will raise fresh fears over the future of history as a subject in English state schools.

It follows the publication of separate figures this summer showing that the overall proportion of pupils studying the subject in state comprehensives dropped by almost a fifth under Labour's politically correct education regime.

The Coalition's education policy attempts to reverse the decline by introducing the controversial “English Baccalaureate” – a school leaving certificate that rewards pupils who gain good GCSEs in traditional academic disciplines. To qualify, teenagers must score C grades in five subjects, including history or geography.

But the latest study suggests the reforms have made “little impression so far” on the agents of the Politically Correct Thought Police that run the state education system..

The Historical Association surveyed teachers in 403 secondary schools and colleges as part of an annual poll.

Currently, pupils are supposed to take history throughout Key Stage 3 – the first three years of secondary education – before being allowed to drop it at GCSE aged around 14.

Vegemitegate as Australian Politician's Beakfast Triggers Terrorism Panic

Presciently the fictional MI5 boss Harry Pierce said in last nights season opener of telsvision series Spooks, "America id getting more isolated and unreliable by the day." Kevin Rudd, the Australian foreign minister and former Prime Minister, was forced use his powers of diplomacy to persuade dubious members of the US Customs service to allow a jar of Vegemite, his nation's favourite spread, onto a plane. On Sunday, Mr Rudd, who was on his way from Mexico to New York to address United Nations General Assembly, was stopped at US Customs and questioned over the mystery brown paste, which authorities feared could represent a potentially dangerous liquid although inn reality it is about as dangerous as a smelly fart. To avoid an international incident, Mr Rudd was forced to explain that Vegemite made from yeast extract is in fact a popular in Australia as a breakfast time spread for toast . "Only problem travelling (sic) to NY is that they tried to confiscate our Vegemite at the airport. Needed Foreign Ministerial intervention," Mr Rudd said on Twitter. Merkel Fears Collapse Of Her Coalition After Latest Regional Election Defeat

Angela Merkel's government suffered a humiliating defeat to the opposition Social Democrats and Greens in key city state elections in Berlin last night as divisions within her coalition over the Greek debt and the future of the euro deepened further.

The German Chancellor's liberal Free Democrat (FDP) coalition partners took only 2 per cent of the vote in the Berlin poll and were ousted from the city's parliament. Her own conservative Christian Democrats (CDU) fared better, capturing 23 per cent.

However their performance was outstripped by the city's ruling Social Democrats (SPD), led by mayor Klaus Wowereit, who won 29 per cent, and the Greens with 18 per cent.

As we have been saying for a long time, it's all going pear shaped in the Euro zone.

Fear Of Anti Depressants Makes Patients Shun Treatment

Antidepressants are the second-most-prescribed drug in the U.S., for years doctors have been handing them out like smarties at a childrens' play group..

In spite of this many people are still not prepared to tell their family doctor that they are experiencing symptoms of depression because they're afraid they will be put on anti depressants for life and will be identified by friends and colleagues as mentalists, according to some new research. And the people who are worst affected arethe most are the ones least likely to seek help.

There has always been a stigma a stigma attached to mental illness, and though people are far more upfront about depression than they were in years past when it was common for people to be banged up in grim "loonyhouses" because they suffered from "melancholia". Though we no longer lock people up for being miserable the stigma hasn't gone away. Just ask someone who's been turned down for life insurance because they took antidepressants long ago, or someone who's afraid to tell the boss why they're struggling at work.

Clinical depression affects almost one in fourteen people each year. Given that, and the suffering it causes, you'd think people would be eager to get help. But you'd be wrong. It is not just the stigma attached to "mental health ssues" that puts people off but the poor reputation of anto depressant drugs and the debilitating side effects.

"There is this anxiety about medications in general," Robert Bell, lead author on the study said. With antidepressants, he explained, that anxiety includes worries about side effects as well as stigma.

The findings were published this week in the Annals of Family Medicine

The Daily Stirrer is not surprised by this news, we have tried at every opportunity to raise awareness that the priority of Big Pharma is not to cure people of their ills but to make them patients for life. The scandal of overprescription of the highly addictive anti depressant Valium is still too fresh in the public consciousness and there have been plenty of horror stories about the catastrophic effect of SSRI type drugs (Prozac to me and you) for people to feel confident about anti depressants.

New or soon to be launched anti depressants are likely to be either more toxic and dependency forming than their forerunners or ineffective.

Best New Gadgets In Nerd Heaven

by Ed Butt (H/T The Independent) Televisions you can graffiti on, video post it notes that stick on to the fridge, everything you don't need and only a cupid stunt would waste money on ... and all, if not quite under one roof then under many rooves at one exhibition. Every year, in the first days of September, Berlin is host to nerd heaven, the Internationale Funka-usstellung (IFA), said to be the world's largest electronics trade show. Spread across more than two dozen halls the size of football pitches, more than 1,400 exhibitors build massive stands to win attention with bright lights and soft carpets. Almost every company you've heard of is there. The one that's not is Apple whose PR people are far smarter than theirir developers of useless, overpriced gadgets and are aware it's best to launch alone rather than compete with your rivals for attention. Though the iPad is not on show hundreds of me-too tablets pose like twenty dollar prostitutes and scores of iPod docks and cases jostle with each other. Sony dominated the show. Most products announced are to be relesed in the two or three months that follow this jamboree. Some products however will not make it to the market place for very good reasons.

What was a hit at the world's biggest electronics conference this year? What will be the cause of you having to pay ovrer the odds for your stuff because technology firms are run by nerds and spends fortunest developing this crazy shit? Here's a selection.

15 September 2011 EU Leader Gives Germany An Ultimaturm: Act Now To Save The Euro
The president of the European Commission and leading proponent of a single global government, Jose Manuel Barroso, issued a stark warning to Germany yesterday that eurobonds could be the price of preventing a break-up of the single currency. Addressing the European Parliament, Mr Barroso said the Commission will "soon present options" for the introduction of a common European debt union. Fortunately German elected representatives have told the unelected bureaucrats who run Europe to fuck the fucking fuck off, German taxpayers are sick of bailing out basket cases. (Barroso like all who favour global government is an unelected bureaucrat - when he was elected leader of Spain his loonytoons politics brought the country to its knees) Stock markets across Europe rose briefly following Mr Barroso's speech as investors interpreted it as a sign that the Continent's leaders are finally prepared to do what is necessary and throw taxpayers hard earned money at crooked bankers and corporate bosses to guarantee the future of the single currency. But any move in the direction of the issuance of government bonds underwritten by all 17 nations of the eurozone looks set to run into a brick wall in the shape of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel not to mention the leaders of Europe's handful of smaller solvent nations.. Last month, Ms Merkel described eurobonds as "exactly the wrong answer" after coming to the realisation that German voters will eventually settle the issue and choose Germany and sovereignty over Europe and federalisation.. And yesterday her Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle, said:"We are opposed as far as the instrument of eurobonds is concerned because we believe you can't fight debt in Europe by making it easier to take up debt." Speaking after several days of rising panic in financial markets, Mr Barroso stressed eurobonds "will not bring an immediate solution for all the problems we face", and accepted that their introduction would probably require a new EU treaty. But the Commission's President insisted that "deeper integration is part of the solution". So this greasy dago dickhead thinks the solution to domestic debt is to give a gold card to your adolescent kids does he? Cupid Stunt.

Unhappy Children Trapped By Consumerism

Another hugely expensive exercise in statin the absolutelyly effing obvious has enabled academics and researchers to startle us with the news that materialism is robbing children of their innocence. Poor witless fucks always get there about then years after the rest of us, no wondrer they have to be incarcerated in universities for the safety of themselves and others. British children, a report says, are trapped in a cycle of compulsive consumption as parents shower them with gifts to make up for their long working hours, a UNICEF report concluded Wednesday. The study, commissioned after British children were ranked by the United Nations as the unhappiest in the industrialised world, blamed the results on a culture of "brand bullying" and a lack of family interaction. Four years ago a similar report put the USA below us. It sems three years under the tyranny of Obama plus the religiosity of American society has restored some sense of values while the politically correct vtyranny of the three main parties' "liberal concensus has moved things backwards here. "Parents in the UK almost seemed to be locked into a system of consumption which they knew was pointless but found hard to resist," said Agnes Nairn, the report's lead author. "While children would prefer time with their parents to heaps of consumer goods, parents seem to find themselves under tremendous pressure to purchase a surfeit of material goods for their children," she added. Translate - Google's Lastest Strategy To Make Us All Slaves To machines

There are people who hate humanity, even their own humanity, and will not rest until they have made us slaves to machines. The people who run Google are in this group and will stop at nothing in their march to world domination, even if it means destroying our culture and stripping our language of it's beauty, brainwashing us all into believing what we 'experience' on line is as real as what we experience in the real world, making us all see ourselves as our avatars, stupid little cartoon characters that are supposed to represent our essential being, and having us listening to music, reading literature or viweing art and drama that is generated by machines.

Computers are tools, they are not our intellectual equals or our masters.

Below is a quotation from a typically sycophantic write up of a new travesty in Goolgle's gallery of not fit for purpose products. This one, a translation tool, theatens to turn language with all its nuance and infinite variety into something like Orwellian Newspeak because no machine will ever be built that can handle human language therefore, in the Nazi way of thinking common to all the powerful technology corporations, Google have embarked on a course of changing the way humans think.

From "How Google Translate Works - The Independent
Using software originally developed in the 1980s by researchers at IBM, Google has created an automatic translation tool that is unlike all others. It is not based on the intellectual presuppositions of early machine translation efforts – it isn't an algorithm designed only to extract the meaning of an expression from its syntax and vocabulary.

In fact, at bottom, it doesn't deal with meaning at all. Instead of taking a linguistic expression as something that requires decoding, Google Translate (GT) takes it as something that has probably been said before.

It uses vast computing power to scour the internet in the blink of an eye, looking for the expression in some text that exists alongside its paired translation ...

Everytime I read reverential public relation puff like this from "technology" journalists I wonder what happened to objectivity in the media. The piece could have been (and probably was) paraphrased from Google's press releases. Read full postTranslate - Google's Lastest Strategy To Make Us All Slaves To machines

Planning Reforms Another Step On The Road To Fascism

New planning regulations announced by the government will make it more difficult for communities to resist planning applications, one of its authors has revealed.

. John Rhodes, who helped write the Draft National Planning Policy Framework, said the new rules would mean “more development, not less” despite ministers’ promises to give residents more powers to control new building on greenfield sites in their area.

Mr Rhodes is a leading planning consultant and his forthright comments will raise questions over government claims about the framework of the new planning laws and the coalition's “localism” agenda.

The Department of Communities and Local Government has pledged that towns and villages would have the final say on developments because they would have the power to draw up their own planning rules.

On its website, the department claims that the framework “puts local people in the driving seat of planning decisions. Communities will have the power to decide the areas they wish to see developed and those which will be preserved”.

Mr Rhodes admitted that the Government’s plans were not supposed to make it easier for residents to resist new building but to put further obstacles in the way of those trying to prevent new housing and indusdtrial developments.

Nice one John, we need more whistle blowers like you to help us hold these money grabbing hypocrites to account.

9/11 Conspiracy Theories Not So Irrational As Conspiracy Deniers Would Have You Believe

by Xavier Connolly

The anniversary of the Al Qaeda attack on New York's World Trade Centre brought to the forefront of bloggers' attention the conspiracy theories that emerged in the wake of the day's events.

Were the cospiracy theories as crazy as was suggested by those to like to style themselves as rational and sceptical because they believe all the bullshit the media are spoonfed by government and "experts."? Tim Stanley writing in the Daily Telegraph thinks not.

Roughly one third of Americans believe that the 9/11 attacks were an inside job. Before British readers start to feel smug, the Telegraph’s blogs editor reports that around 25 percent of young Britons feel the same way. Theories of what really happened range from a controlled explosion, to a missile, while potential culprits include the…
Read full post on why conspiracy theories are not crazy.

So where does the Daily Stirrer stand? Well nobody here ever subscribed to the idea that it was an inside job carried out by covert operatives working for the US government. On the other hand as a part lime lecturer in engineering I naturally talk to architects and structural engineers. And off the record they seriously doubt the official line that the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre and the third skyscraper to collapse could have come down as tidily as they did because of random and uncontrolled impacts.

We have talked all round the idea that tall buildings have to be built in a way that facilitates a straight down collapse. This is achieved by building an inner frame which supports the structure. To cause such a controllede collapse however all four (or sex, eight, whatever) supports have to be taken out simultaneously with synchronised explosions. And they have to be taken out near the ground.

So the official version believed unquestioningly by the conspirascy deniers is that two aircraft collisions high up the towers and the completely random and uncontrolled explosions that followed had the same effect as an expertly planned and executed demolition job on three towers, one of which was not hit by aircraft? If as the official version goes, the heat of unontrolled fires weakened that internal structure it is impossible to imagine the number of coincidences required to bring down the buildings so efficiently. All supports would have to dematerialise (not buckle but dissolve) simultaneously. That does not stand up to analysis does it?

The fact that there are question marks over the official explanation points to nothing more sinister than the habitual reluctance of the authorities to tell the truth. My own view, shared by colleagues, is that many tall buildings in urban areas are equipped with a system designed to trigger a controlled demolition in the event of catastrophe. But that is oinly an educated guess. Why not either admit or deny it and settle one area of speculation?

No Politician, Not Even The Obamessiah With A Wave Of His Magic Penis, Can Create Jobs By Spending Money

by John de Roe

Barack Obama's plan to save is catastrophically failed Presidency from descending nto farce in the remaining eighteen monts before he must face the judgement of the electors involves another $$$ three quarters of a trillion spending spree in which, we must assume from the tone of his latest speech, money will again be lavished on organisations dedicated to fighting for the rights of America's blacks, hispanics, gays, retards and any minority The Obamessiah deems worthy.

Loony lefties in Britain led by Ed Bollocks and the Trade Union puppeteers who pull Balls' and Ed Miliband's strings are clamouring fot the coalition government to follow the same route and return to Labour's spendthrift policy of generating economic growth by hiring millions more people onto the public sector and QUANGO payrolls.

Daniel Hannan demonstrates in this article why such loonytoons economic will not work.

The Independent reports that the Chancellor ‘is drawing up plans for a major growth package to boost the British economy’. Good: that’s what Chancellors are supposed to do, isn’t it? So what are the elements of this package? Is George Osborne sweeping away the legislation that puts so many firms off hiring people? Germany And Holland Push Greece To The Brink

As we predicted last week elected representatives of the people of Germany and Holland have promised they will block further bail out payments to keep Greece's stricken economy afloat unless the basket case country complies to the letter with the terms of austerity conditions imposed on them. As the spendthrift Greek government does not understand the meaning of phrases like fiscal controls, this latest setback for those leaders and bureaucrats still insanely denying reality and pushing for greater unification raises the spectre of default and a chain-reaction throughout the basket case economies of southern Europe.

German finance minister Wolfgang Schauble said there will be no more money until Greece "actually does" what it agreed to do. "I understand that there is resistance among the Greek population to austerity measures. But in the end it is up to Greece whether it can fulfill the conditions necessary for membership of the common currency. We offer no discounts," Herr Schauble told Deutschlandfunk. His carefully chosen words have been taken as a threat to eject Greece from EMU, though is there no legal precedent for such drastic action.

The Dutch finance minister Jan Kees de Jager said the Netherlands would not support further payments to Greece unless it secures the go-ahead from the EU-IMF leaders after the group had failed to secure agreement in Athens last week.

The latest move to shut down Greece's line of credit came as the European Central Bank (ECB) abandoned its push for higher interest rates and slashed growth forecasts for the next two years, warning that the situation is "extraordinarily demanding" and that "downside risks" have intensified.

"The interest cycle has been aborted," said Carsten Brzeski from ING, adding that rates may even be cut from 1.5pc if the economy worsens and deflations rears its ugly head.

Jennifer McKeown, an analyst at Capital Economics, said the ECB will have to cut rates sometime in next six months as the global downturn deepens. The Chinese growth judggernaut which was holding up hopes of recovery has stalled as China's export led growth is hit by reduced consumption in the west.

Tripoli Breakdown Of Law And Order

It is typical of the dumbing down in democratic societies that The Daily Stirrer's opposition to NATO intervention in support of the uprising against Libyan tyrant Colonel "Mad Dog" Gadaffi was seen by many as support for the despot and his brutal regime. Far from it, the three of us who created this opinion and comment blog are old guys who have all been round the block more times than the postman's boots and our opposition to all the American led cheering for Freem'an'moxy came from the fact that we've seen it all before. Does the name Viet Nam mean anything to you young, university indoctrinated whippersnappers?

Thanks to air support and covert operations on the ground by British, French and U.S. "special forces" (oh yes, they didn't tell you about that in mainstream media did they?) Gadaffi's regime has been defeated. Although people loyal to the Colonel are still fighting there is no way they can prevail against a rag bag army of squabbling tribal factions, gangsters and fanatical fukwits so long as the rebels have NATO air support. And leaders of the western countries would lose too much face if they back down and say, "Oops, we fucked up, these idiots are worse than Gadaffi."

The collapse of the old regime has predictably left a power vacuum in Libya as ordinary citizens, clerks, factory workers, taxi drivers and even, we hear, footballers have taken up arms to protect their homes and neighborhoods. These are no longer just AK-47 brandishing idiots who charging round in pick up trucks as western pilots fought their civil war for them. who have taken up arms to overthrow Colonel Gaddafi. They are the people our government has helped put in.

They say they simply want things to return to normal so they can go back to their pre - civil-war jobs but that is unlikely to happen in the short term if ever. Another thing the mainstream media did not tell you is that in a very tribal society fragmented by ancient rifts and enmities Gadaffi had the support of the majority of Libyans. It was not hard support of true loyalists but bought with oil revenues. Against that the rebels are not a cohesive force united by a common cause. As soon as Gadaffi's forces stop fighting and the Colonel is killed, captured or proved to have fled these factions within the National Council will be at each others throats, vying for supremacy for their tribe or sect.

There is no Libyan army to take control - it was destroyed by NATO air strikes. And no coherent police force remains to impose order, they were overwhelmed by the rebels and now risk being shot if they identify themselves. So long as this situation remain, and there is no solution in sight, the worst crime in Libyan society will be to have tribal links to an enemy of the militia men who are arresting you.

The obvious solution would be to put in a UN peacekeeping force, but that is the very thing NATO leaders have promised they will not do.

To Save The Young We Must Revise Expectations

We had Generation X then The Lost Generation, what next? The abandoned generation?

It’s a terrible time to be young – unless we revise our expectations from life -By India Lenon, Daily Telegraph

News at the moment should come with a warning: “Not suitable for under-25s, due to distressing content”. The message seems increasingly to be that all those in their late teens and early twenties might as well give up now. Relentless public examination begins at age 15, yet even those with perfect academic records will not…

Having raised material expatation beyond all reasonable levels and promised a mickyu mouse degree from a toytown university was the key to wealth, success and happiness, thirty years of government based on the politically correct concensus have failed to deliver. Not only that, they have exported all the traditional industries to low labour cost countries while telling people we could all make a living first by selling financial services to each other (Conservatives) then by working in Labour's idiotic "knowledge economy" in which everybody was going to be engaged in university based research projects that end up stating the gobsmackingly obvious.

Now we have a generation with no jobs, no money and no hope. And nobody has a clue how to help them.

When You Gaze Into The Abyss ...

by John de Roe

The West is staring into an economic abyss deepened by political paralysis in the US and EU – but Britain must stick to its financial Plan A.
When you gaze into the abyss the abyss gazes also into you, so goes Freidreich Nietzsche's famous one liner.

According to most economic pundits not in the pay of governments and big financial institutions or those who spend their lives cocooned in academic institutions, safe from the intrusion of reality we are gazing into the abyss right now.

Is there any way we can prevent the Graeco - Roman civilisation plunging into eternal darkness? Jeremy Warner thinks we must stick to the course set by the coalition government and reduce both government and personal spending so that we are living within our means.

Tax Amnesties Turn HM Revenue and Customs Into A Money Laundering Operation

by Ian R Thorpe Having been a self employed consultant for many years I am very aware of the self defeating idiocies of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs or The Inland Revenue as they used to be known. For thirty years these paper clip chaim making nobodies in cheap suits have waged war on British business and enterprise. Now it seems instead of helping small businesses and startups cope with the crippling burden of bureaucracy by simplifying the labyrinthine tax system, they have set themselves of a course of helping big time tax evaders still the public for £££millions.
Tax Amnesties by Ian Cowie, Daily Telegraph:

By Ian Cowie Your Money Tax amnesties – such as the deal announced with Switzerland last month – help criminals gain respectability and risk turning HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) into “one of largest money-laundering operations in history” a leading barrister claims. Banks Suffer As Eurozone Crisis Triggers New Slump In Markets
Josef Ackermann, the chief executive of Deutsche Bank, Germany's biggest bank, warned yesterday that "numerous" European banks and financial instiyutions would collapse if they were forced to write off their losses on stricken sovereign bonds. Mr Ackermann said that the value of billions of euros in loans to governments of basket case economies in southern Europe has plunged to a level that could sink smaller banks.

Ackerman told a conference in Frankfurt: "Numerous European banks would not survive having to revalue sovereign debt held on the banking book at market levels."

Market conditions in the past two weeks have ben as chaotic as they were at the height of the banking crisis of 2008, after the collapse of US mortgage lenders Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and the failureof investment bank Lehman Bros.. "We should resign ourselves to the fact that the 'new normality' is characterised by volatility and uncertainty," he said. "All this reminds one of the autumn of 2008."

The volatility was demonstrated as Deutsche Bank shares tumbled 8.9pc and bank stocks led stock markets mini crash all over Europe.

Deutsche Bank's shares closed at €23.79, valuing the company at €21.6bn (£18.9bn) - its lowest level since it completed a €10.2bn rights issue last October. The Stoxx Europe 600 banking index fell to its lowest level for 29 months. The DAX fell to its lowest level in two years.

Governments Warned Not To Print Money

Once again throught the global financial community the siren song of the pseudo Keynesians was heard calling on governments to print money. As near as makes no difference, Britain and much of the rest of the developed world seems to be back in or at least heading towards some form of renewed recession, if indeed it was ever out of the last one. So has the time arrived to wheel out the fabled Plan B?

Christine Lagarde, new head of the International Monetary Fund, seems to think it is, though she has not yet gone so far as specifically call on nations capable of it to embark on another round of economic stimulus in a repeat of previous fuitel attempts to kick some life back into a zombie economic system. All the same, it is clear enough who she means - the UK alongside the US, China, Germany and France should start printing money. She's already pushing hard for collective agreement to act, so as to be able triumphantly to announce co-ordinated action against the slowdown at her first annual meeting as managing director in a couple of weeks' time. This is idiotic, that last round of quantitative easing, the posh name for devaluation has resulted in a return to medieval commerce with gold having by default become the reserve currency.

Ms. Lagarde's coincides with the ever-shifting sentiments of Bill Gross, managing director of the world's biggest bond fund, Pimco. Less than two years ago, he was warning that UK gilts "rested on a bed of nitroglycerine".

Everyone is entitled to change their mind but bill is flip flopping like a Jesus\sandal with a broken strap. He now believes there is scope for some "mid-course correction" to fiscal consolidation plans so as to avoid a recession. Moreover, he no longer seems to think this would ignite the nitroglycerine and send gilt yields rocketing. Do we detect a little self interest here, after all Bill's firm must make a profit from trading bonds and if nobody want to buy bonds because the currencies they are supposee to prop up are collapsing anyway, he's bankrupt. It is a coincidence that Pimco's headquarters is in the world gambling capital Las Vegas?

The Great Arctic Oil Rush

The melting of the Arctic ice caused by the climate warming, ocean currents shifting or whatever, makes it possible to expore for and exploit oil reserves in the arctic polsar region. With wind and solar energy falling waaaaay short of expectations as replacements for fossil fuel and demand for energy increasing you can understand why as exploration permits become available exploration companies and oil giants alike are piling in hoping to fill their boots. In July 2008, the US Geological Survey released the first ever publicly available estimate of the oil locked in the earth north of the Arctic Circle.

It was 90 billion barrels, representing an estimated 13 per cent of the world's undiscovered oil resources. If you're an oil company, or an oil-hungry economy, that's more than enough to make your mouth water.

A year later geologists involved in the programme, known as Cara, the Circum-Arctic Resource Appraisal, had radically revised their estimate – upwards. Now – in June 2009 – they said the Arctic might in fact hold as much as 160 billion barrels, which would amount to more than 35 years of US oil imports, or five years of total global oil consumption, and be worth, at current prices, more than 18 trillion dollars. Forget mouthwatering. Think orgasmic.

In this controversial opening-up to exploitation of the frozen north, hydrocarbons are the greatest prize (past experience tells us there is likely to be even more natural gas than oil.)

No matter that the polar regions are the most inhospitable parts of the whole globe. And no matter, either, that the Arctic constitutes the world's most untouched ecosystem. The oil industry's motto has always been "Can Do", and in the Arctic, it's already doing.

Meanwhile the green lobby, the can't do brigade, now officiallyso collectively stupid they don't even reach the standard required to qualify them as imbeciles, are still raving about wind and solar energy and obstructing the revival nuclear power programmes, the obvious stop gap until technology to exploit reliable, consistent, sustainable, clean sources of energy are developed.

Stock Markets Crash - We Got It , we were'nt pessimistic enough

It is not often The Daily Stirrer has to say "We got it wrong," we are much more likely to be telling you "We told you so." Last week however we predicted that the final collapse of the FUBAR global economy would beging in abou four to six weeks. We wwerre horribly wrong. It has started today.

Over the weekend Gold surged close to its record high after falling to a still insane $1750 and ounce over the past couple of weeks, the US$ fell sharply on far eastern markets which trade through the weekend break and on the opening of stock markets in Paris, Frankfurt and London this morning share prices crash. The fun will really start when Wall Street opens for business because economic indicators announced too late on Friday afternoon to affect the markets offered a bleak outlook for the American economy.

What can we tell you?

Convert your assets to cash and stuff it in the matress or better still stock up with pasta, tinned tomatoes and olive oil or other basic foods that have a long shelf life, it's going to be a rough ride.

Brace Yourselves For More Riots As Gangs Stockpile Guns And Weapons

A disturbing report from Sky News claims to reveal how the inner city street gangs that orchestrated August's rioting in London and other major cities are urging members to build caches of guns and other weapons ready for a further campaign of civil unrest after the rioting and looting in England last month. Sky News say their sources reported a store of weapons siezed by police last month were concealed by gangs in anticipation of further clashes with armed officers. The the news organisation claims the information that led to this siezure was gained as a result of work done by their investigative reporters. Gadaffi's High Noon Will Be The Batle For His Hometown

The Battle For Gadaffi's Home Town
Libya's transitional leaders believe hundreds of their supporters have been gunned down in Colonel Gaddafi's home town of Sirte by desperate regime loyalists, even as they try to negotiate its surrender.

A more reasonable interpretation of the story reported by mainstream media is that the rag bag army of malcontens, fuckwits and religious fanatics has been suckered by the regular amy's elite troops (trained by American and British units) and because they are clowns led by maniacs they have been set up for a slaughter.

It is too late for Gadaffi to turn the war around but having withdrawn to Sirte where he had over a number of years established a stronghold he could yet wreak a terrible revenge on the people who rose up against him. The rebels, not a unified for but a hotch potch of bittery opposed factions who are only held together by their hatred of Gadaffi could not have prevailed without NATO air support. Now soldiers and mercenaries loyal to the Mad Dog are in among the civilian population and air attacks aimed as consolidating the New World Order's puppet regime's tenuous grip on Libya would not be tolerated by the international community.

Sirte Gaddafi's biggest remaining Libya stronghold although most of the sparsely populated south of this huge country of only 5 million people remains loyal to the Gadaffi regime. Rebel commanders know his forces are dug in at Sirte for a bloody battle. Opposition forces have held their positions to the east and west as they wait for tribal elders to negotiate with Gaddafi fighters.

But rebel leader Shamsiddin ("Even-madder-than-Mad-Dog-Gadaffi") Ben-Ali, safe in the rebel city of Benghazi, said 800 people had been killed in the past three days before embarking on the usual tirade of lunatic ravings that pass for rhetoric.

"Many of the people of Sirte are on our side now and want to be part of the revolution," he said. "The people with guns though are still resisting," he raved.

The rising death toll before the true batrtle has even begun poses a conundrum for Libya's ruling loonies: rushing in could spell a military disaster but waiting is costing a very high price in civilian casualties. Meanwhile we must not forget that Gadaffi loyalists in the south control most of the water supplies to the heavily populated coastal strip. Much of the Sirte as well as the capital Tripoli is already without water, electricity, cooking gas or petrol.

"The population know the way to end these conditions is to join the revolution," said Hasan Droy, Sirte representative on the National Transitional Council. Ummmm ... he may be right but people find it hard to switch sides when their oppressors are pointing guns at them. As the saying goes, "There is no point sheep passing resolutions in favour of vegetarianism so long as the wolf remains of a different opinion."

Global Markets Crash

by John de Roe The latest figures announced by the US Government show the American economy added no net new jobs in August, according to the key non-farm payrolls figures from the Department of Labor. The August number was much worse than had been expected - the predicted figure was an addition of about 70,000 new jobs.

Overall unemployment remained unchanged from July at 9.1%.

To make the news worse, the figures for the previous two months were revised down to show weaker jobs growth. The Labor Department now says that in July 85,000 jobs were created, down from 117,000 in the earlier estimate, while the number of jobs added in June was revised down from 46,000 to 20,000.

"Companies that are overall doing OK are hesitating to hire and invest further, creating some fragility for the economy," Virginie Maisonneuve, head of global equities at Schroders told BBC News, adding "We will need some help from the Fed and the government to avoid a recession."

US government gilts rallied after the figures were released. The yield, which is the implied cost of borrowing, of the 10-year Treasury bond fell instantly from 2.13% to 2.03%, in anticipation of a further round of quantitative easing by the Federal Reserve. Global stock markets had been lower all day on Friday ahead of the numbers and they fell further after the publication.

"August was a pretty rough month for the economy," said Ryan Sweet of ratings agency Moody's. "We saw financial markets tighten. I think businesses sort of responded by putting hiring on the back-burner."

Virginie Maisonneuve says there is 'a crisis of confidence' in the US economy and it is hitting the rest of the world.

"US companies have no confidence in the US economy and no confidence in the country's political leadership, so it's no surprise no jobs are being created," said Max Johnson at Currency Solutions. "The US economy is looking increasingly forlorn and this latest jobs data will apply further downward pressure on the dollar."

Attention will now turn to a speech by President Obama next Thursday, in which he is due to outline a new plan for boosting growth and creating jobs. Exactly what the world needs now is another banal, cliche ridden and vacuous speech from Brack Hussein Obama, the all mouth and no trousers President

More Americans Are Calling Long Stay Motels Their Home
A long way from the glossy world of Wisteria Avenue, where the Desperate Housewives lived their lives, beyond the deperation of the 'projects' (U.S. equivalents of our sink estates) featured in The Wire, further on from the glossy image America likes to present to the world than even the trailer parks featured in so many gritty novels and post modern fiml - noir movies there lies the shadow world of the long-stay motel. Cheap, depressing, and if not the end of the road then only a short walk from it, these factories of despair offer four walls and a roof, for a few hundred bucks a month. It's some of the cheapest accommodation you'll find anywhere in the US, aside from a cardboard box. In the UK of course we have heard stories of unfortunate people who have been reduced by circumstances to living in bed - and - breakfast accomodation for months, even years. America's long stay motels are the transatlantic versions of such accommodation, one step up from hostels for drunks, druggies and care in the community cases.

Long-stay motels exist in almost every major American city. They do not offer the privacy of a trailer (or static caravan to British readers) and there are no tenancy rights. Owners don't even have to give twenty four hours notice to quit. Residents live in postage stamp-sized rooms separated from neighbours by paper-thin walls. They sleep on cheap nylon sheets that crackle with static. Even the sections of travel books like Rough Guide or Lonely Planet which feature 'rock-bottom dives' for travellers with limited funds do not list them.

It is a sign of how far western civilisation has decayed that not only are more and more Americans finding themselves in this predicament but that as businesses continue to move jobs to low labour cost areas, our political leaders seem increasingly clueless as to how they may set about turning the situation round.

World powers hail 'new Libya' at Axis Of Hypocrisy summit

by Ed Butt

Avoiding 'another Iraq' - a descent into civil war - was the unspoken purpose of the Paris meeting according to the communique issued to thw world's press.

The Daily Stirrer loves that phrase "Avoid a descent into civil war." Typical of the vainglorious solipsists ho style themselves world leaders. Have they not herard there is alread a civil war going on?

Th e press release went on "Sixty countries showered blessings on the birth of a "new Libya" last night and promised further international efforts – including continued military operations – to ensure that that the infant prospers." Now I'm pretty sure that florid rhetoric did not come from Dowing Street or the Elysee Palace. It may have ben approved by The White House after all the US President is a closet Muzza according to all my Pakistani friends who know about these things. It has the idiom of a Saudi Arabian political statement however. Which might be a clue as to who really runs the world these days.

The brief summit, more celebration and photo-opportunity than planning or decision making process, promised the rapid release of up to $110bn of Libyan assets frozen around the world. It called for the UN security council to send a "civilian mission" in the near future to help to start the process of building democratic Libyan institutions, from political parties to a police force and a free press.

Unfortunately as the Libyan rebels concentrate on falling out among themselves rather than pressing on with their attack on Sirte, Gaddafi's last stronghold on the Mediterranean coast, the colonel and hisl supporters have plenty of opportunity to escape to the south of the country where people still loyal to Gadaffi's regime control the nations water supplies. From the remote and mountainous south Gaddafi's son Saif al Islam could very effectively fight the guerilla campaign he has promised.

As a project manager charged with delivering multi million pound projects I hosted many celebrations to mark a successful outcome. The received wisdom in the profession however was to hold the celebration only after the job was fully completed.

Tobacco Giant's War On Science

A giant in the tobacco industry is trying to force a Scottish University to hand over confidential information about British teenagers' smoking habits. Philip Morris International, the maker of Marlboro cigarettes, is using the Freedom Of Information act to force Sterling university to reveal full details of its research involving confidential interviews with thousands of children aged between 11 and 16 about their attitudes towards smoking.

This use of the UK's Freedom of Information law, has coincided with an internet hate campaign targeted at university researchers involved in smoking studies.

One of the academics has been getting abusive phone calls at her home at night. She believes they are a result of an organised campaign by the tobacco industry to discredit her work, although there is no evidence that the cigarette companies are responsible in any way. Philip Morris says, quite reasonably as they are in the business of selling cigarettes and tobacco products, that it has a "legitimate interest" in the information, Researchers at Stirling University say that handing over sensitive data would be a gross breach of confidence that could jeopardise future studies.

The researchers also believe that the requests are having a chilling effect on co-operation with other academics who fear that sharing their own unpublished data with Stirling will lead to it being handed over to the tobacco industry.

The Daily Stirrer has no wish to get involved in the smoking versus health fascism debates currently raging between libertarian bloggers like the excellent Dick Puddlecote and the forces of the Politically Correct Thought Police. We are happy for it to be known this publication wholeheartedly supports individual freedom and the righ to think for ourselves.

What we find deliciously ironic is that as in the case of the "Climategate" e-mails the crooked scientists of East Anglia University, and their radbidly leftie supporeters it is the people who screamed loudest and longest for a Freedom of Information law when they thought is would help them expose the malfeasance of the evil bankers and the demonic corporations who are now screaming long and loud that it is unfair and totally against the public interest to ask them to reveal the data on which their agenda driven conclusions are based.

Makes you wonder what the University of Sterling has to hide? Might it be, we suggest, that all the anti smoking legislation and regulation by governments, all the hysterical exageeration of risks by the research grant phishing scientists, has actually made smoking seem more attractive young people, whose youth predisposes them to be anti authority.

Why Poly Pills Are Health Fascists Worst Idea Yet

by Profanicus Maximus

The latest plan from the world domination freak medical professions and the fascist Pharmaceutical Corporations is to give ‘polypills’ containing statins (arse dribble drugs), aspirin and blood-pressure-lowering drugs to everybody over 55 to help prevent heart attacks and stroke was criticised at a health conference yesterday. Giving these drugs to people who do noit need them would harm a lot of people and be a “waste of money”, delegates at the conference were told.

It would be much better and more cost effective to give those at higher risk of coronary heart disease a £60 computerised tomography (CT) scan to test whether they really did have hardened arteries, said Prof Allen Taylor.

Plans to give such a combined pill to everybody over a certain age have been around for almost 20 years and you can bet the health fascists still have their looniest scheme yet, to put anti depressants in drinking water supplies on the back burner. Such neo Nazi tactics are beginning to be used in countries including India but then democracy in India is a bigger myth than Star Wars.

Evil Nazi bastardsAdvocates of forced medication say the polypill is needed because only one in five heart disease patients stick to taking multiple pills daily, and the cost of distributing them separately is too high, particularly in poorer countries. The Daily Stirrer cannoty see a problem with lettinmg people die if they can't be arsed taking their medication. The world has too many people as it is so why are the scumsucking spawn of a pox whore's scablice medical professions and their paymasters so eager to keep the ubseless cunts alive.

Prof. Taylor, professor of medicine at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., said a much more targeted approach was needed before medicalising large swathes of the population.

Recent data showed that CT scans for arterial calcium build-up could be extremely useful in gauging the risk of a cardiovascular event.

FAQ's about Polypills

What is a polypill?
A polypill is a combination pill containing a number of drugs, usually taken separately, to reduce the risk of a condition – namely the risk of cardiovascular disease.

What's the idea behind it?
People at higher risk of a heart attack or stroke, or those who have already had such an event, are often prescribed a number of drugs. Firstly, few people take those drugs as they should. Even among those who have had a heart attack or stroke, evidence shows only 20 per cent adhere to their medication.. One advantage of the polypill is that it could dramatically increase the proportion taking their medication properly, as people only have to pop one pill a day. This theory is currently being tested.

Secondly, administering medication separately is expensive, principally because of the doctor’s time needed to see the patient and prescribe the drugs.

Euro zone bailouts in doubt as German taxpayers rebel

by John de Roe
27 August 2010 German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the leading light in the effort to prop up the Euro, European single currency scheme no longer commands enough support in the fragile coalition that governs Federal Germany to push through the necessary laws allocating funds to bail out the bankrupt economic basket cases of southern Europe. This loss of support in the Bundestag for Hausfrau Merkel's centre right Christian Democrat led coalition means Germany is unlikely to provide backing for Europe's revamped rescue machinery, threatening a constitutional crisis in Germany and a fresh eruption of the Euro debt saga.

The German crisis could prove a major setback for the unelected Bureaucrats and financial tycoons who wish to create a global governance system, a collectivist oligarchy in which unelected bureaucrats like the alleged rapist Dominique Strauss Kahn and super - wealthy neo Nazi collectivists like George Soros hold the reins of power and delegate administrative duties to desperate wannabes like Cameron, Sarkozy and Obama, people who would felch a skunk for a pat on the head from the rich and powerful.

In response to the crisis Mrs Merkel has cancelled a high-profile trip to Russia on September 7, the crucial day when the package goes before the Bundestag which will vote on approving funds, and the country's constitutional court which is due to rule on the legality of the EU's bailout machinery.

If the court decides the €440bn rescue fund (EFSF) breaches European Treaty law or undermines German fiscal sovereignty, it risks setting off a financial wildfire across the member states of the monetary union scheme.

The seething discontent in Germany over Europe's debt crisis has spread to all key institutions and state governments of the federal nation. "Hysteria is sweeping Germany " said Klaus Regling, the EFSF's director.

German media reported that the latest unofficial count of votes in the Bundestag shows that 23 members from Mrs Merkel's own coalition plan to vote against the package, including twelve of the 44 members of Bavaria's Social Christians (CSU). This may force the Chancellor to rely on opposition votes, risking a government collapse.

Christian Wulff, Germany's president, stunned the country last week by accusing the European Central Bank of going "far beyond its mandate" with mass purchases of Spanish and Italian debt, and warning that the Europe's headlong rush towards fiscal union strikes at the "very core" of democracy. "Decisions have to be made in parliament in a liberal democracy. That is where legitimacy lies," he said.

With Austria and Holland dead set against further bailouts, Finland and Luxembourg also against but too small in terms of population to make much difference and France, though still clinically solvent facing an imminent downgrade of its credit rating, the burden of any bail our or scheme to purchase the debt of the southern basket case nations would fall on the German taxpayers. It seems the German taxpayers had had their fill of filling the Club Med begging bowl and have no time for the global nation New World Order the oligarchic collectivist are working so frenetically towards.

A CSU document to be released on Monday flatly rebuts the latest accord between Chancellor Merkel and French president Nicholas Sarkozy, saying plans for an "economic government for eurozone states" are unacceptable. It demands treaty changes to let EMU states go bankrupt, and to eject them from the euro altogether for serial abuses.

A day earlier the Bundesbank had fired its own volley, condemning the ECB's bond purchases and warning the EU is drifting towards debt union without "democratic legitimacy" or treaty backing.

Google Chief Slams British School System

by Ian R Thorpe
Schmidt told his audience at the Edinburgh Television Festival where he was giving the keynote MacTaggart lecture, Britain is "throwing away its computer heritage" by allowing humanities to dominate in schools at the expense of science, Eric Schmidt, chairman of Google, has claimed.

Mr Schmidt, who has a degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in computer science, told that he was “flabbergasted to learn that computer science isn’t even taught as standard” in schools in the UK, and that Britain had gradually “stopped nurturing its polymaths. There’s been a drift to the humanities – engineering and science aren’t championed. Even worse, both sides seem to denigrate the other…you’re either a ‘luvvy’ or a ‘boffin’,” he said.

“I saw the other day that on The Apprentice Alan Sugar said engineers are no good at business. Really? I don’t think we’ve done too badly.”

Schmidt is talking through his arse of course. As a former IT manager (with a humanities degree) I can tell him scientists make shit programmers and systems analysts. Google chiefs delude themselves if they think they have created innovative technology. What they created in their Search Engine was technology that lagged way off the pace backed by media hype. The initial success of the company was based on the stupidity of scientists and other nerds, geeks and sad acts. These people saw a search result listing a million web sites containing the search terms and though "Wow, how kool is that, not stopping to consider that nobody has time to go through a million results so any more than fifty is useless. Not only that, Google has never considered relevance, most of their results are not relevant.

In 2010 Google, which employs around 10,000 engineers worldwide including “several hundred” in the UK, turned over $29.3bn. Most of its revenue came from sponsored searches, you know; those links to pages owned by con artists, quack doctors, ponzi schemes and boiler room operators that appear at the top of every results list.

Mr Schmidt, who as head of the web search giant was the first person from outside the broadcast industry ever to have delivered the prestigious MacTaggart, also used the platform to criticize the UK for its track record of growing businesses.

“You need to get better at growing big companies. The UK does a great job of backing small firms and cottage industries but there’s little point on getting a thousand seeds to sprout if they’re then left to wither or get transplanted overseas,” he said. Well better that maybe than sponsoring world domination freaks as the USA has done. Strangely Schmidt did not remind the audience of the time last year when facing criticism over Google's disregard for users privacy he said the company's aim was to go as close to crepy as was possible without crossing the line. Sorry Eric, Google crossed the line years ago and has gone way beyond creepy now. The company's position is fascistic.

Schmidt's appearance was part of a Public relations offensive in response to widespread scepticism of the Evil Empire Google and its unwillingness to pay for the content it monetises, most famously by Rupert Murdoch, chief executive and chairman of News Corporation, and Michael Grade, former chairman of ITV, who described Google and YouTube, which it owns, as a “parasite”. The main threat to Google's bid or world domination however comes from the European Union whose Information Technology commissioner Neely Kroes has demonstrated she is not a fan of Google's tactics of invading people's privacy and then saying, So sue us.

However, Mr Schmidt batted away suggestions Google rather than stealing other peoples' work and copyrights should invest directly in content. “To argue that misunderstands a key point: Google is a technology company…We have neither the ambition nor the know-how to actually produce content on a large scale,” he said. In response to that we all need to say, fine - we will use your search but we will not click on your ads. See how they like it.

New EU Jobs Law Will Derail The UK's Recovery

by Xavier Connolly
Often predicted, never seen, Britain’s economic recovery will be hindered by new European employment laws granting full employment rights to temporary stasff will cost British companies almost £2?billion a year, business leaders have warned.

Business Secretary in the coalition cabinet and senior Liberal Democrat Vince Cable has agreed to a controversial European directive to give agency workers the same rights as full-time employees of British companies.

A Department for Business analysis of the new regulations reveals the change will cost firms more than £1.8 billion a year (estimated), leading to warnings from large employers that they will have to cut jobs.

The new E.U. laws, formulated and passed by unelected bureaucrats, which will give more than one million workers the right to the same holiday time, pay, sick leave, maternity leave and other benefits come into force next month. Under the legislation, agency workers will effectively have to be treated as full-time workers after 12 weeks.

The laws are being introduced despite opposition from chancellor George Osborne who has promised to boost economic growth by cutting red tape and other obstacles facing businesses.

Coalition Ministers have conceded that they have effectively been forced to introduce the “disappointing” laws after pressure from trade unions.

As The Daily Stirrer has said many times before, the step the giovernment has to take before recovery can beging is the first step towards leaving the New World Order European Union.

It is to be hoped some MP will ask Vince Cable to state in the House whether or not this measure is likely to make the recruitment and job seeking processes more difficult and whether it is likely to lead to employers hiring less.

Studies carried out by independent organisations state what we all know already, that more bureaucracy and regulations designed to make Pavolv's Dogs type managements jump through hoops can only make job creation and hiring more difficult in a UK economy already hamstrung by over - regulation, an official obsession with minority rights and the dominance of politically correct thinking. The new law will extend the search time for a new job(in France where these regulations are alread in force that search time is now 86 weeks. So much for the politically correct utopia we are told closer ties with Europe will lead us to.

It has been reported Britain's participation in the new law was agreed by the CBI and the trade unions, on other words a corporatist stitch-up. A liberal, not a corporatist, labour market is essential if this country is to avoid becoming a banana republic like Greece, Portugal and Spain. Clearly, Mr Cable, his fellow Liberal Deomocrats and many senior conservatives are corporatist. A corporate state is not a liberal state. Stalinism, Naziism and Maoism are examples of where the corporate state leads.

Jihad Against Junk Food

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/brendanoneill2/100102199/this-jihad-against-junk-food-is-driven-by-naked-snobbery-for-the-lifestyles-of-the-lower-orders/
When you hear the words “junk food”, what image comes to mind? I bet it’s greasy hamburgers and chips, maybe fried chicken, pizza, gloopy pink milkshakes, bumper bags of salty crisps, king-size bars of chocolate. But why don’t we think of duck à l’orange, which is easily as fatty as any bag of chips, or foie gras, which is French for “fat liver”, or those posh, fancy Gü chocolate desserts, which are the match of any Mars Bars when it comes to sugar content and calorie count? I’ll tell you why. Because “junk food” is not actually a proper scientific term designed to measure a foodstuff’s dodgy content – rather it’s the term people use to express their disdain and disgust for the eating habits of the lower orders, for all those burger-chompers and chip-eaters who live in “white trash” bits of Britain.

It's typcal isn't it? One rule for the leftie elitists, another for the working class. As if the unfortunate poor haven't enough problems without professional hand wringers wailing and gnashing their teeth about the cheap foods hard up people eat and for the most part enjoy. Ironivally British restaurants are seeing a revival in traditional solid British meals, the kind of stuff that in the 1950s and 1960s the tendy lefties used to harangue the working class for eating because it was not exotic enough. So what have we old gits been telling you since we started The Daily Stirrer? Golbalisation will never work. It only benefits the wealthy elite. Forget about Sidi Barack Hussein Obama and his promises that if we all join hands and sing Kumbiya we can live in a "progressive" utopia. Obama is just they New World Order's houseboy, poncing about in a fancy suit as he runs their errands and serves coffee (oooh, is that racism? No it's fucking not so fuck the fucking fuck right off.), no sooner has the elites destroyed the western economy by shifting production and jobs to India and China than they are beating down the Indians and Chinese by shifting work to Africa and South America.

Another Stock Market crash 'could hit within weeks', say bankers

An even worse financial crash than the one triggered by the collapse of Lehman Brothers could be on the way, according to bakers warily watching activity in the credit markets.

Insurance rates to protect against exposure to the debt of several major European banks has now reached levels, going higher than those recorded during financial crisis caused by the US financial group's implosion in 2008.

Credit default swaps, the investement market's equivalent of bookies hedging their bets, involving the bonds of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo, and many other financial institutions sent out warning signals on Wednesday. Credit default swaps (CDS) on RBS were trading at 343.54 basis points, meaning the annual cost to insure £10m of the state-backed lender's bonds against default is now £343,540.

The cost of covering RBS bonds is now higher than it was immediately before the Labour government was forced to step in and rescue the bank in October 2008 by saddling UK taxpayers with most of its toxic debts. This highlights the recent dramatic downturn in sentiment among credit investors towards banks.

"The problem is a shortage of liquidity – that is what is causing the problems with the banks. It feels exactly as it felt in 2008," said a spokesman for a London-based bank.

"I think we are heading for a market shock in September or October that will match anything we have ever seen before," said a senior credit banker at a major European bank.

Such a crisis has long been predicted. The ongoing sovereign debt crisis in the Eurozone among the poorer nations of southern Europe is dragging down the stronger economies that are tied to the European Single Currency system while the the growth of the U. S. governments indebtedness appears to be out of control.

Does Steve Jobs Departure Mean Apple Are About To Fall From The Tree
Rarely has the success of a company been tied to the popularity of its charismatic CEO as much as Apple's. Steve Jobs was Apple, the first time he stepped down the company almost folded. When he returned Apple's fortunes rebounded to the extent that their market capitalisation rivalled that of oil companies. Now Jobs, plagued by ill health in recent years has resigned again. He has already beaten cancer and had a liver transplant but even he it seems cannot conquer the ageing process.

As Jobs resignation was announced Twitterers were on fine form.

“Why the surprise?” he tweeted. “In a recession we should expect Jobs to go.” Another tweet continued in the same vein: “Will the loss of Jobs scare the Stock Markets into another crash?

Some focused on the appointment of Tim Cook as Jobs’s replacement inspired a flurry of puns: “Apple turnover looking good as talented Cook takes over.”

The Daily Stirrer, the creation of an I.T. expert, a financier and an engineer have ben no fans of Apple. The Corporate success since Jobs returned to the helm in 1996 had been built on hype rather than technical efficiency. Where the generic PC running Microsoft Windows could be described as "Not fit for purpose" nobody ever really worked out what the purpose of an Apple gadget was unless it was simply to part the gullible from their money. Still, we wish Steve Jobs a long and happy retirement. His early products, the Apple 2 and the Mac were good even if the Macntosh was nowhere near as advanced as Apple claimed (it was based on a Xerox workstation that was only promoted as an office tool rather than a home computer. Perhaps now we can get back to some objectivity in the technologyu market place with machines that serve some useful purpose rather than people buying whatever they are told is 'cool'. Boiler Room Scammers Given Record Jail Terms

by John de Roe

The Daily Stirrer has warned many times of the corruption and the potential for financial crime facilitated by the light touch regultion of financial markets. We touched on the business of short selling, basically trading in items the seller does not own a few weeks ago (Naked Finance) Now, followinf the exposure of one of the biggest frauds of its type we look at "boiler room" scams.

A team of fraudsters who operated a gigantic boiler room scam ever to be broken by fraud squad officer have been given record jail sentences of 19 years in total.

After a trial at Southwark Crown Court Thomas Wilmot and his two sons Kevin and Christopher were jailed on being found guilty of a £14m deception that involved 16 crime fighting bodies working across 10 national jurisdictions. After an investigation involving police in many countries Tomas Wilmot, 64, the ringleader of the operation, was jailed for nine years. His sons were given sentences of five years each for their multi-million pound scam. A 'boiler room fraud' as it is known in the financial markets involves cold calling potential investors and using high pressure sales techniques to persuade them to invest in non existent companies or financial devices.

His Honour Judge Leonard QC, sentencing, said: "You ran a highly successful enterprise. You deprived many individual investors of substantial amounts of money; for some that was money they could not afford to give up.You sailed so close to the wind in your commercial enterprises it was not a surprise the FSA investigated you."

The court was told that the Wilmots operated an international operation involving 16 different 'boiler room' call centres selling shares to 1,700 victims in the UK. The operation was controlled from the UK but many of the the offices from which calls were made were based in Spain. The scam ran for nearly five years before it was brought to the attention of the Financial Services Agency and then the governing body of the London Stock Exchange.

Tracey McDermott, the FSA's acting director of enforcement, said: "This was a highly sophisticated scam that made use of offshore structures to launder the funds, put distance between the Wilmots and the boiler rooms, and ultimately disguise the nature of the business. That meant what started out as a UK-based FSA investigation had to evolve into a joint, then global, operation to bring the perpetrators to justice."

In total the Wilmots defrauded investors, many of whom were elderly, of £27.5m, resulting in £14m of losses.

Gadaffi Regime Falls But Not Yet

. Though the imminent downfall of a blooddthirsty tyrant is always to be welcomed for the sake of his oppressed people, I caanot understand the unrestrained joy of western "liberals" at the prospect of a bloodbath in Tripoli.

That the western powers have armed the rebels and provided air cover for their advance sets a very dangerous precedent.

And the likelyhood, near certainty in face that Mad Dog Gadaffi is about to be replaced by an even more insance, fanatical bunch of genocidal lunatics should not please anybody. One thing we should remember is Libya had no organised opposition, just a rabble of tribal militias who once the common enemy is gone have shown they will start fighting each other for supremacy.

To see that unthinking moron Barack Hussein Obama preening and posing as he accepted the congratulations of his snake felching sycohants one would think he had led the rebel march on Tripoli himself rather than distanced America from the conflict in response to adverse public opinion polls. Now the slimy little shit is trying to claim the victory while the increasingly nauseating mainstream media in the USA sing his praises saying "Obama's victory in Libya will seal his reelection." The USA is truly fucked up beyond all redemption.

So what happens now the west have deposed a horrible but west friendly dictator?

This is not the beginning of the end, it is the end of the beginning: Churchill.

This guy seems to know a thing or two as well:
"These same institutions produce quite different effects while they are still being fought for; then they really promote freedom in a powerful way. On closer inspection it is war that produces these effects, the war for liberal institutions, which, as a war, permits illiberal instincts to continue." Freidrich Nietzsche.

World Bank Chief Warns Golbal Economy Is Entering A New Danger Zone

World Bank chief Robert Zoellick on Saturday warned of a "new and more dangerous" time in the global economy, as Europe (Chicago Options: ^REURTRUSD - news) struggles to resolve its debt crisis.
Zoellick said the eurozone's sovereign debt issues were more troubling than the "medium and long-term" problems which saw the United States downgraded by Standard and Poor's last week, sending global markets into panic.
"We are in the early moments of a new and different storm, it's not the same as ...read full story from Yahoo News

Smoke and Mirrors Blur Inflation Statistics Leading economist Simon Ward has accused The Bank of England of using "smoke and mirrors" to present official forecasts for inflation. With the annual rate of price rises currently double the official target at 4pc and showing signs it will keep rising, the Bank's central projection that the rate should return to 2pc next year is looking like pure fantasy. Mr. Ward, chief economist of global investment fund Henderson's, thinks the Bank is ...

Britain On Edge Of A Double Dip Recession?
The eagerly awaited figures for GDP growth in the first three months of the year were published yesterday. The disappointing news was that the UK economy grew only 0.5pc in the first quarter of 2011, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) revealed. This rate of expansion in economic activity does no more than offset the 0.5pc contraction in the final quarter of 2010. “Excluding the impact of the snow in December, the preliminary GDP figures suggest that the economy has ...

The Eurozone Financial Crisis Made Simple
Completely predictably the leaders of Eurozone's solvent nations have cobbled together a deal to save the beleaguered Greek economy from defaulting on its debts. America's Debt Auction As Washington Sets About Slaying The Monster A week after its historic downgrade by Standard and Poor's, investors have been piling their money into US bonds. With the world's biggest economy averaging growth of just 0.8pc during the first half of the year, America has this month become the latest country to have to walk the tightrope between introducing a measure of fiscal austerity and ensuring the economy doesn't slide into another recession. 'It's a fantastic auction," exclaimed Bill O'Donnell from his desk on Royal Bank of Scotland's vast trading floor in Stamford, Connecticut. It was early Wednesday afternoon and there was nothing fantastic about the state of the stock markets, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down about 200 points as rumours swirled about the health of French banks.

O'Donnell, one of RBS's chief fixed-income strategists, was instead talking about the US government's first sale of 10-year bonds since it dramatically lost its AAA credit rating five days before. The pressure that had built as ...

Concensus on the causes of last week's riots

by Ed Butt I saw a revealing post on The Liberal Conspiracy blog, the web home of UK neo Nazi leftie fuckwits, which summarises what comment writers in the press think are to blame for the recent riots. It's an interesting list, obviously it was posted with the intention of winding up Liberal Conspiracy's following of leftie dopeheads, cokeheads, crackheads, dickheads and fuckwits for their daily Orwellian Two Minutes Hate session ; I can't say that I disagree with any of the conclusions... I could add some more though. Here's the list which I've copied and slightly edited for clarity:

Liberal dogma
No capital punishment
Social engineering programmes
Parliament/judiciary/police
An exaggerated sense of entitlement
Liberal intelligentsia
Family breakdown
Social workers
White liberals
The God of Diversity
Rap music
People who are always screaming 'Racist!'
The Labour and its obsession with politically correct social policies.
Multiculturalism
Cultural relativism
Tight gun laws
Infantilism
Black culture.

Anyone care to disagree?

The most repugnant aspect of left wing media coverage of the riots in Britain has ben the way reports have (rightly) praised Indian, Turkish and Pakistani men for standing shoulder to shoulder armed with cricket and baseball bats and garden tools to protect their homes and businesses from the mob and then (hypocritically) vilified white people as racsist and right wing extremists for doing the same.

The Real Cause Of The Riots: Moral deficiency led by politically correct thinking.

Oh so very predictably the left were quick to try to blame 'poverty' for the outbreak of rioting, arson, violence and general lawlessness that has soiled our British summer. Labour Deputy Leader Harriet Harman aka Little Hattie Harperson even tried to claim the trouble was triggered by the coalition governments decision to increase university tuition fees. That is daft even by Hattie's usual impeccable standard of stupidity.

Many of the rioters were from affluent middle class families and even if we look at those from homes lower down the income scale, poverty is relative and by global standards they are well off compared to the poor of Africa, Asia, South America or even southern Europe. You can see this in the early lists of people brought before the courts,: among them a millionaire’s privately educated educated daughter, children of doctors, accountants and other well paid professionals, an estate agent and most incongruously a ballerina.

These are the unusual cases but illustrative of the fact that the rioters and looters are not drawn from one social class or one ethnicity. Most of those taking part in the riots – and most of those arrested – were from what by British standards are poor backgrounds. But that’s not to say poverty has turned them to violence.

Poverty and a tendency to violence, or criminality, are separate characteristics that may often be found together, but they are not inexorably linked. For those who like everything to be 'scientific' this can be observed in the fact that most poor people live quite passive lives, either accepting of their lot or too lacking in aspiration to do anything about it beyond feel a dull resentment. But most are simply accepting of their lot. I remember the great (in eery sense of the word) soul singer Solomon Burke, in one of his final appearances in Britain, talking about his childhood in one of the industrial cities of the USA. "Yes, we were poor," he told interviewer Jools Holland, "but we did not know we were poor. We ate well and my mother made s ure we had dessert every day, even if it was only Jello."

Statistically (again for those who have an emotional need for everything to be scientific) areas with the lowest average incomes in Britain also have the lowest crime rates. Rural communities in Wales, West and South West England, the north and Scotland and also, in numerous sociological studies, people express a far higher level of satisfaction with their lives despite low incomes and lower material standards.

It is enormously insulting to the non-violent poor to suggest that, just because they lack certain assets, their quality of life will be lower. By extension, the suggestion – put forward this week by uber - lefties Harriet Harman and Ken Livingstone - that a cut to public services will turn people bad is equally insulting. It also shows the intellectual bankruptcy of the left when the only solution they can offer in higher public spending from a government already bankrupted by thirteen years of fiscal incompetence from a left wing Labour government.

The best moral values can be found in the poorest households, and sometimes, the worst in the richest, even if money can be an effective prophylactic against criminal behaviour.

The riots may have happened in the some of poorer parts of London (Tottenham, where it began is a very poor area by London standards, Ealing which saw some of the worst looting and destruction is one of the more affluent suburbs of west London. In Manchester and Birmingham the unrest predominantly involved the poor; but it wasn’t poverty that made them steal and fight. It was immorality.

Where does this immorality stem from. A likely place is the state run school system. The politically correct ideology inculcated by a curriculum hijacked and politicised by supporters of the loony left breeds a sense of victimhood, is an 'us against them' attitude which perceives 'them' as anybody loosely connected to authority. In some of the worst areas of social decay, the disastrous social housing projects built in the 1950s and 60s it is routine for paramedic and fire fighters attending emergencies to be attacked by mobs formed from the neighbours of the very people who need help.

The problem here is that the socially bleak and barren landscape of such well intentioned but utterly misguided attempts at social engineering ripped the heart out of natural communities and lumped people of one social class and one income bracket together. The very people who now talk rabidly about multiculturalism and diversity were, early in their political careers, stamping into the ground the diversity that breeds tolerance and promotes morality by mixing together people of diffferent cultural, religious and social backgrounds.

Climate Scientists versus Free Speech and Freedom Of Information

Climate Scientists versus Freedom
From: Watts Up With That
This week four groups, whose boards represent a distinctly liberal world view and who oppose scrutiny of taxpayer-funded science by academics, asked the University of Virginia to disregard its agreement before the court with American Tradition Institute to provide the records of former climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann, which belong to the public. The groups, led by the far-left Union of Concerned Scientists, sent a letter to University president Teresa Sullivan on Tuesday complaining the agreement gives ATI’s in-house lawyers “needless access” to documents its Environmental Law Center requested, and the agreement “threatens the principles of academic freedom protecting scholarly research.”

Response to Union of Concerned Scientists, et al, from ATI Environmental Law Center director Dr. David Schnare:
“The groups seek to have the court find a non-existent ‘academic freedom’ exemption, and also claim there is a so-called ‘balance’ between academic freedom and public accountability, which is similarly imaginary. The court’s, and UVA’s, only fealty is to follow the law, which our agreement reflects.

The problem with these secretive scientists is that in their attempts to conceal the true nature of their fraudulent 'research' from the public by using they the "You must never question authority" argument they are simply trying to hide their Nazi tendencies in the closet without having understood that the closet door is transparent and we can see right through their attempts to occupy the moral high ground.

Anybody who claims to be acting from altruistic motives and to have discovered something that will save the world from impending catastrophe must surely be aware of the parallels that must be drawn with Blofeld / Dr. Evil if they are unwilling to reveal how they arrived at their astounding discovery.

Cameron's Speech On Riots Focuses On Responsibility

With parliament recalled from recess, David Cameron stood at the despatch box to stamp out a crisis. Cameron's statement went on for almost three hours today but set the right tone of repugnance at recent events combined with a determiniation to tackle the decay in social values. To be fair Ed Milliband's response was equally sober and on target and free from any hint of the political points scoring we associate with politicians in opposition.
Cameron's Speech On Riots Focuses On Responsibility

10 August 2011

Sick Society Or Sick System

David Cameron today blamed the rioting and looting that has spread around the country over the past few days on 'a sick society.' The Daily Stirrer's View is there is little wrong with 'society that a couple of aspirins and a day off would not put right. The sickness lies in the system by which our lives are governed ... and by this we do not mean Parliament and the government. The whole system is sick from the top, the cabinet ministers, senior civil servants and Captains of Thievery Industry and business, down to the jobsworths who are too eager to enforce petty and pointless regulations and far too reluctant to think, make decisions based on circumstances and actually get some work don, to the people whoring in hospitals, local councils and government departments whose job may be pushing a brush or schlepping boxes but who are far too ready to scream about their rights in order to get out of doing anything they don't want to do.

The justice system is sick, far too many left wing activists are employed as judges or lawyers and we see on a day to day basis these people have no qualms about letting their political prejudices get in the way of objectivity. The police are constantly undermined and embarrassed by the eagerness of the justice system to protect the 'interests' of disadvantaged minorities who are not disadvantaged in any was other than in their own distorted perception.

Merely swapping the coalition for another Labour government, a Conservative government with an overall majority or even a wider coalition would serve no purpose. Politicians have lost touch with the electorate and with reality. While leaders of all three parties push the European Superstate agenda and the plan to extend the European Community to take in nations of the middle east and north African, the electors of most nations in Europe find the idea of surrendering national sovereignty to unelected bureaucrats abhorrent. The Irish, the only European voters to be given a chance to vote on the pernicious Lisbon treaty, a watered down version of the European Constitution which was resoundingly rejected by voters wherever a referendum was held. Irish voters rejected ratification of the treaty. Ireland however is a small nation and not as economically powerful as France or Holland, the two countries that voted down the constitution so the Irish were in effect told they had got it wrong and would have to hold another referendum and if they did not vote 'yes' they would have to keep voting until they did. The delusional idiots, the bubble dwellers, of political and national government saw nothing wrong with this but it was recognised by voters everywhere as an attack on democracy.

From this example we know that whichever combination of the mainstream parties we have in power they will do what the Burghermeisters of the Brussels European village tell them.

Similarly with justice. In principle we are all equal under the law buy you will find out exactly how unequal you are if a black or Asian person, a turd burglar or rug muncher, a feminist or a disabled person imagines you have insulted or demeaned them. The system which bends over backwards to protect the 'rights' of murderers, paedophiles, thieves, extortionists and all manner of truly evil people. Yet if you are a law abiding citizen who acts to protect your family or property because faith in the ability of the police to protect ordinary people by dealing appropriately with thugs and criminals has collapsed, the wrath of the law will descend on you.

These are a few examples of how the sick system is infecting society with it's perverted, politically correct perception of reality. Cameron may deliver an engaging one liner occasionally but we must remember it was during his party's eighteen years in power that the beating heart was ripped out of communities, traditional industries were destroyed and selfishness was made a virtue. This should not be read as an endorsement of Labour, in their thirteen years of power just as much progress was made in unravelling the fabric of society and handing disproportionate influence to unrepresentative minorities in the mane of 'diversity' and 'multiculturalism.'

The Liberal Democrats are an unknown quantity but show every sign of incorporating the worst aspects of the two larger parties. That is where the root of the infection lies, we have no leadership.

Big News Today In The Tottrenham Riot
We who bring you the Dsaily Stirrer evrey ... ahem, well most days, have been wondering for a while when the simmering anger and resentment that is the mood in the streets of our towns and cities would explode into violence.

Police prepare for more trouble

The trigger for this violence was the shooting of a local man a few days ago. The real cause however is not over zealous policing, rising prices, the financial meltdown, joblessness or any of the oyther things being bandied about by media hacks. It is the fustration of ordinary people at the increasingly remote, detatached and completrely out of touch behaviour of the people who are supposed to be running things.

That being the case we can expect a lot more rioting, disorder and disruption until the politicians, business leaders and bureaucrats get their arses in gear and start trying to understand what life is like in the reality those outside the bubble must live with every day.

Independent research (i.e. not funded by people who profit from your doctor making you addicted to painkillers) shows that long term use of high doseage parcetamol can damage your liver more than heavy drinking. makes one wonder how much of the current 'liver disease epidemic' is due to prescription drugs rather than booze.

Privatization of Water as an Owned Commodity Rather Than a Universal Human Right
Corporate powers and the United Nations are planning on privatising water resources including rainfall, yes you did read that right, privatising the rain. The CEO of food processing bastards Nestlé spoke of the plan last year when he said companies like his had a right to make money from sellling OUR water, now those Stalinisdt shits at the United Nations and The World Bank are planning to steal the stuff life depends on.

Measles Witch Hunt - Propaganda War Against Parents Who Refuse Vaccine
A witch hunt against parents who decline to have their children vaccinated. Who would think such fascist tactics could be used by democratically elected governments in the twenty first century. Well elected (after a fashion) oiur governments may be, but they are not democratic. It is the bankers and corporate entities who hold the real power. And the pharmaceutical companies who make vaccines are among the most anti social of them.

UK Government Collaborating With The GM Biotech Sector To Get Toxic GM Shite Introduced Into Britain.
We have already witnessed allegedly democratic governments collaborating with corporate pirates to the detriment of citizens best intertests, now we are seeing it again. As a moutain of evidence stacks up to confirm that concerns about the safety of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and showing claims of increased crop yilds to be exaggerated, politicians with financial links to the biotech companies are queueing to spout corporate propaganda an support of this toxic shite.

You Will Be Told Biometric Identification Is For Your Security, But When You Can't Do business without It, It Becomes An Assault On your Privacy
Latest plans to extend biometric security, allegedly for our safety and protection but really we suspect to extend the powers of surveillance enjoyed by central authority, ought to be the straw that breaks the camel's back and triggers wholesale resistance to the march of technology. Are you ready to start defending your freedom?

The Mad Scientists Mania For Genetically Modifying Everything
Genetically Modified (GM) organisms? The science is setttled right, the only way to feed the world's growing population is to accept GM foods and hand control of the human food chain to some of the nastiest, most fascistic corporate busineses on earth, right? Well fortunately it is not as clear cut as that, independent research shows GM crops do not give increased yields and do pose very significant risks for humans, wildlife and the environment.

Why Do Those On The Political Left Assume They Have A Monopoly On Goodness And Truth
Political philosophy: As politics and society become more binary and polarise so that according to a self sppoined elite there are only two possible points of view on any issue, public debate is stifled and the polarised left and right end up attacking the other's right to free speech. It has nothing to do with liberal democracy

Neuroscientist Sounds Alarm About Proliferation Of Wireless Electronic Technology
We have said in the past science is out of control, politicians and corporate leaders hungry for power and profit are willing to believe the most outrageous claims of academics and scientists and the concerns of ordinary people are swept aside. Fortunately there are some responsible scientists out there who are not afraid to shot at the sacred cows.

Is Biocentrism The Theory Of Everything And Does It Prove There Is Life After death - Weird science
Newtonian materialism and determinism, the orthodox creed of The Church of Scientism, is obviously as wrong scientifically as the idea that God created the universe in seven days arounf 6,000 years ago. While religious metaphor is perfectly acceptable to me, when I question the dogma of science, the science worshippers shout heretic and start a medieval witch hunt. Yet thee are many scientifically and logically sound ideas that offer better answers than determinism.

UKIP Withstands Euro-Attack, Reforms EFDD Group Just Days After 'Blackmail
Just a few days after an underhanded and undemocratic move to sideline the European Parliament (EP) anti-federalist group, the eurosceptics have outflanked neo - Nazi EP boss Martin Schulz by signing a new member. Formerly independent MEP Robert Iwaszkiewicz said he had joined in protest against undemocratic EU leadership.

European Parliament: Dictatorial Martin Schulz dissolves EEFD Group of Euro-skeptics
The Daily Stirrer has always said that the european Union was not an association of free states collaborating to make trade easier, but a bureaucratic dictatorship under the palsied heel of which the freedom and sovereigfnty of democratic nations wouldf be crushed. Here's an example of an EU Bureaucrat autocratically overruling the democratically expressed with of the voters.

Leaked TPP Chapter Exposes Sweet Deals for Big Pharma, Big Media and US Bully Tactics Crushing Smaller States Objections

Yesterday (17/10/2014) WikiLeaks released an updated version of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Intellectual Property Rights chapter, along with a statement accusing those involved in the secret negotiations of creating a Big Pharma fiendly deal that would will hinder access to affordable medicines globally for those earning average wages or less, remove most of the remaining safeguards against online surveillance, and erode civil liberties while benefiting corporate and other governmental interests.

Ciggy's £1.50 each. I smell an opportunity
A World Health Organisation conference on the most serious public health issue today (not ebola but smoking would you believe) is doing some very nasty things in secret. All in all their policy smells of prohibition. Oh well, that's good news for organised crime at least.

Hidden Agenda Behind the new Free Trade Deals
In this post from Wolf Street and others in this composite article, along with our many standalone posts on the so called Free Trade Agreements, TTIP (Trans Atlantic Trade And Investment Partnership) and TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) we have stressed again and again that the seemingly benign phrase "free trade" is not used to signify the opening of markets dominated by global corporations to competition from small, efficient local businesses.

Second And Even More Lethal Strain Of Ebola Now Infecting People In Congo - Le Monde
We may now be facing two deadly Ebola outbreaks, a new strain of the virus which so far has killed 71 percent of those infected has been discovered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This is a higher mortality rate than the strain that has killed over 3000 people in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

More Child Abuse Cases Like Rotherham, Rochdale To Be Revealed Says Top Police Officer
It seems inevitable that more child-abuse cases involving gangs preying on vulnerable boys and girls, like the recent cases in Rotherham and Rochdale will come to light. Simon Bailey, Chief Constable of Norfolk Police claims that the problem is far bigger than had been previously thought with up to 600,000 children having suffered some kind of sexual abuse, the National Household Survey of Adverse Childhood Experiences estimates.

Ebola, Stock Market, Nuclear War. It's all going tits up. WTF?
Woke up this morning (I know that sounds like the opening of a blues song, but bear with me), leisurely breakfast, watched the news - Osborne wittering about how well they economy was doing (which was an ominous sign), read for a while, drove Mrs T down the shops. Came in, turned on the computer.

Game of Groans: David Cameron and Ed Miliband will be torn apart as the election nears
Will Dave or Ed be Prime Minister after the 2015 general election or will a sicteenth centry witch fould up the best lain schemes of mice and men. 2015 could turn out to be the Demdike Man election, not through macick, but metaphor. The Witch of Pendle representas a communitity and culture that has been abandoned by the self righteous, politically correct concensus politics of the bourgeois establishment. Are the working and middle classes about to strike back.

The Real Significance Of The Jimmy Savile Case
Back to the Savile case, which while Anna Raccoon makes valid points about unreliability of witness evidence on events which occurred many years ago, they smug, authority worshipping people who dismiss our concerns are truly naive when saying "its just a lot of fuss about nothing, only Daily Mail readers are taken in by it," are the ones who really miss the point.

NHS Money Wasting Machine And The One Budget That Is Never Cut
After the usual empty promises made at the annual conferences of the three main political parties - all three party leaders swore that only their party can save the National Heath Service (NHS) eternally a key isue in UK politics, we decided it was time our we too a close look at why NHS finances are always in a mess. We assigned the task to our team of old gits with a vast store of business experience behind them and no fears of suffering career damage as the Politically Correct Thought Police exact retribution for the crime of being 'off message'.

The Immigration Problem
The politicians may run a mile when the topic is mentioned, the Islington Screechers and medi luvvies may cover their ears and go la-la-la-la whenever the topic comes up but there is no denying immigration is the big issue in Britain today. Labour's open doors immigration policy was a disaster, the coalition have failed to address it for fear of upsetting the politically correct thought police. Is it any wonder UKIP, the only party that will talk about immigration, is doing so well?

The Ongoing Propaganda War Behind GMOs Exposed
The United States has been paying farmers for over two decades to NOT produce food, yet biotech would have us believe that genetically modified organisms are necessary to feed the world. This is but one of the many lies they have perpetrated, all the while hiding the real truth behind GM crops. Genetically modified organisms and the chemicals which support their growth are just an outcropping of the military industrial complex and the war industry.

Emirates Airways CEO Thinks He Knows What Happened to Flight MH370
We can sometimes keep news stories running for several months by pointing out the sheer irrationality of those who scream 'conspiracy theory' and demand that we all believe the government / mainstream media version. One of the two biggest stories in 2014 was the complete disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 on a routine flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Seven months later not a trace of the Boeing 777 aircraft or any of its passengers has been located. As the official explanations grow increasingly more ludicrous ...

MH-17 Report False Flag Exposed After Revelation Passenger Was Wearing Oxygen Mask

When exactly a month ago the supposedly objective, impartial Netherlands released its official, 34-page preliminary report of the MH-17 crash over Ukraine, presumably based on black box data, air traffic control records, and other “authentic, verified” information, there were precisely zero mentions of “oxygen“, “mask” or “oxygen mask.”

Things That Make You Boggle ... Like The Misplaced Confidence Of Academics
Why are economics academics always so sure that their predictions are correct. Given the abysmal record on economists on calling the economic trends correctly even after they have happened let alone ahead of the trend, you would think exponsents of the dismal science would be a little more cautious in proclaiming their gusses as evidence backed facts. They never seen to learn however.

European Union Euro - Nazis Block Democratic Challenge To TTIP Travesty
Yet again the news slowly leaking out of the Trans Atlantic Trade And Investment Partnershi negotiations tess us just why there is so much secrecy surrounding this trade treaty being negotiated between the EU and the USA that even our elected governments are not allowed to know what the final treaty will include. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Police to Investigate Allegations of Labour-LibDem Rochdale 'Deal' on Paedophiles
Fresh allegations have emerged regarding the systematic sexual abuse of Chil;dren in Rochdale. This time the story focuses not on the Pakistani men at the centre of the abuse gangs, but the political cover up by Labour and Liberal Democrat elected officials on Rochdale Metrtoplitan Borough Council who, it is claimed orchestrated the cover-up by Labour and Liberal Democrat Party officials in the Greater Manchester Area.

Obama and FUKUS Axis Air Strikes On ISIS Will Make Things Worse
The bombing of ISIS, the Islamic State is well under way in Iraq and Syria, and as predicted the American, British and French led campaign is already making things worse for civilians among whom the ISIS fighters are dispersed. And of course, far from making the west safer, it is stirring up more hatred against us in the Islamic world.

Bad News for the alarmists: 'Missing Heat' from Non-Existent 'Global Warming' isn't Hiding in the Ocean After All
The already mortaly wounded cause of climate taxes alarmism has bean dealt another blow in a new study published by a NASA research project carried out at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, USA.
Satellite observations and empirical measurements gathered by Argo temperature probes enabled the NASA team to calculate temperature variations and thermal expansion in ocean waters over 6000 feet deep.

Evil Labour Government Helped Private Companies Profit From NHS
If you live in Heywood and Middleton and were thinking of voting for the greedy, paedophile loving, elitists' party, Labour because you have been taken in by the lies peddled at the Labour conference that the wicked Tories plan to privatize the NHS, think again.

UK Health Watchdog: Studies Show Mobile Phones Cause Brain Tumours
Over the past last two years, following publication of metastudies like World Health Organisation's International Agency For Research On Cancer report on the effects of radio frequency electromagnetic waves, there is new evidence that mobile phones use can be dangerous to our health. A less technical summary of that is available from Cancer Research UK. Wireless phones, even those DECT systems you use with your landline so you can wander around with the handset, emit radio-frequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMFs) when in use...

Another EU Wannabe Declares War On Free Speech A very dangerous and worrying trend, which has been gathering momentum for some time, has entered a new dimension in recent weeks. Political and business leaders around the world are blatantly calling for the censorship on reporting and discussing news in terms that are 'unhelpful' to their aims and ambitions along with further restrictions on free speech.

US Centre for Disease Control Opposes Blocking Air Travel from West Africa to Stop Ebola Right of return and gender dimension more important than stopping spread of disease? Well that sounds about right for the admistration of The Rent Boy President. Always put acting in a politically correct way before common sense. How about this for a totally fickwitted attempt to deal with a crisis (or mayve a smart but totally evil way to create a crisis.

Another Big Result For The 'Conspiracy Theorists' - US CIA Corrupts Western Journalists.
Ever wondered why anybody trying to report news truthfully or initiate intelligent discussion is branded a conspiracy theorist, especially if their news or opinion is critical of the American government of American business interests? Read the content of this page and you will know a lot more about what is going on.

The Crminalisation Of Dissent
There is a growing trend in what we like to think of as the free world to curtail civil rights, transfer national sovereignty from elected law making bodies to supra national bureaucracies and enact new laws restricting free speech and press freedom. Largely fictitious threats such as terrorism, Islamic fundamentalism and climate change are being used to justify this. but are the levels of risk sufficient to justify the destruction of democracy?

EU Kommisar Admits Brussels Is At War With Democracy
The German EU Commissioner Günther Oettinger, in an astonishing rant accused "bishops, non-governmental organizations and "Ami-Go-Home-Altgruppen" (whatever they are) of undemocratic agitation against the EU's free trade agreements. Oettinger was referring to the Trans Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) the undemocratic deal being negotiated in secret between the European Union and the corporate paymasters who control the US Administration.

Proof Bill Gates is Linked to Ebola as it Hits Dallas, Texas?
Ebola fever has landed in America and predictably sparked panic (see headline). The question evert=yone asks is: "How much danger are me and my family in." The questions they should be asking are: "Why does the US Government Department Of Defense hold a patent on the Ebola virus; and: Why has a team from Tulane University and the US Department of Defence biological weapons research project been experimenting on the Ebola virus for several years?

Surveillance Society Ever had that feeling you are being watched, unseen eyes are monitoring your every move, recording your every action, even knowing what you think. We live in a surveillance society but few really understand how intrusive the activiries of the watchers are. Welcome to the Panopticon. Jeremy Bentham's ideal prison has become a metaphor for the world we have created.

New Global Crisis Imminen, New Geneva Report Warns The Geneva Report refers to a “poisonous combination of high and rising global debt and slowing nominal GDP [gross domestic product], driven by both slowing real growth and falling inflation”. The total burden of world debt, private and public, has risen from 160 per cent of national income in 2001 to almost 200 per cent after the crisis struck in 2009 and 215 per cent in 2013. “Contrary to widely held beliefs, the world has not yet begun to delever and the global debt to GDP ratio is still growing, breaking new highs,” the report said.

Farage Reckless Facing Rabid Left Wing Fanatics
Following the defection to UKIP of Conservative MP Mark Reckless, who yesterday shocked the media and political establishment (everyone else knew it was on the cards.) by announcing his switch from con to Kipper from the podium at the closing session of UKIP's conference, the Kippers latest recruit and his new leader yesterday faced angry but ineffectual protests

Vaclav Klaus, the free world's last honest politician: the West’s lies about Russia are monstrous.
There are few people in politics who will say in public the things that really think, thanks to the hypersensitivity of the American political establishment and their enthusiasm for bombing the crap out of anyone who upsets members of their anointed minorities. Its refreshing then to learn of comments made by veteran Czech Republic leader, putting the boot into the cowardly mealy mouthed sum who pass for conservative and libertarian politicians in the English Speaking countries.

Why Do Government Information Technology Projects always Screw Up? Because Everything Governmrent Touches Becomes Political
While scientists burble excitedly about the internet of things, computer-brain interfaces that will enable the government to control us from data centres, creating human / computers hybrids and other science fantasy rubbish as if any of it stands a chance of becoming reality, government Information Technology managers, with almost unlimited resources at their disposal, can't even manage to cobble together a simple database and search routine. The failure of the e borders project is the latest in a long line of screw ups.

Ukip takes on free market corporatists: Britain's immigration debate gets interesting
Immigration was the subject of the big debate at UKIP's conference in doncaster today. With the Rotherham paedophile scandal which involved Muslim men in the immigrant community abusing young white girls as open sore in South Yorkshire politics at the moment the topic was long overdue for serious debate. One of the reasons the Rotherham scandal happened was the politically correct left scremed racism whenever issue was raised. Immigrants are not above the law.

The Third Gulf War Has Started - Should Britain Get Involved
For the third time in twenty five years a British Prime ~Minister has led the nation into a war in Iraq. It's understandable that Iraquis might be a bit pissed off with us. This time the threat is not a brutal dictator like Saddam hussein or Muammar Gadaffi, the Libyan leader we helped depose, but Islamic State, a concept, an idea, but also a rabble of bloodthirsty maniacs funded by European and American money, aremed with European and American weapons and trained by European and American 'military advisers.

War In Iraq? Lard Bombs Away (SATIRE)
As usual Boggart Blog is totally against Britain becoming embroiled in another sectarian conflict in the middle east (the theme tune of which will be I Hate You Babe by Sunni and Shia.) But rather than send our clapped out, thirty year old warplanes to fire rockets and heavy calibre cannons and drop bombs on the IS, bearing in mind these guys are all fundamentalist Muslims we have a better idea. We can beat the Islamic State without shedding HUMAN blood.

Derbyshire Chief Constable Claims He Was Forbidden To Arrest Former Labour Minister Or Search His Home">South Yorkshire Police Commissioner Shaun Wright Finally Resigns Over Rotherham Child Abuse Scandal
Police chiefs blocked a paedophile probe into a top politician 25 years ago, one of the country’s most senior officers said yesterday. Derbyshire Chief Constable Mick Creedon was serving as a detective sergeant in Leicestershire when allegations surfaced against Labour MP Greville Janner in 1989. Mr Creedon said he was ordered to limit his inquiries into the MP, now Lord Janner of Braunstone.

Disaster Dave's Latest Screw Up On The International Stage
Tomorrow (26 September, 2014) the UK Parliament will meet to vote on whether Britain should support Prime Minister David Cameron and US President and Warmonger - in - Chief Barack Hussein Obama in launching yet another war in the middle east, this time against the forces of the Islamic Caliphate, a fundamentalist organisation set up by groups funded armed and trained by the USA and its allies in their quest to overthrow the regime of Bashar Al Assad in Syria.

War In Iraq: Confused? You Will Be
I'm always a bit wary about referring to The Daily Mail because mere mention of that rather sensationalist but immensely popular newspaper (compare its circulation figures with those of The Guardian or The Independent) is likely to attract a Two Minutes Hate session from Britain's biggest fascist movement,

Love Like Chains (poem)
There are needy lovers and there are controlling lovers (the lovers in my case have always been female but I know men fall into these categories too). They often seem to be modelled from the same clay. Having always been self contained person who liked to stand apart from the crowd I have never did very well in love affairs with either type. This poem is not adressed to a specific person but an amalgam.

Miliband Promises Same Old Shite - Not A Word About Action Against Paedophile Sex Gangs
Labour leader Ed Miliband's keynote speech at the Labour Party conference woyuld have to be the best speech of his life if he hoped to be Prime Minister after next years election, the consensus of opinon said. Ed's friends and opponents awaited the speech with very different hopes and expectations. in the end as Ed dodged the bg issues, the economy and debt, law and order, immigration and Europe, it was probably his enemies who were happier.

In Praise Of Sluts - Tits Out For The Boys Miley
In the last 24 hours both Marianne Faithfull and Jacqueline Bisset have criticised today's young women for dressing provocatively, the teasers for a story in today's news said.
Marrianne Faithfull, no slouch in the sluttiness stakes herself back in the 1960s but to a teenage male all the more appealing for that (I still get a little tingle when I look at a Mars Bar), told ITV News that Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and other good looking young pop tarts are, quite simply, sluts. She gave her reasoning thus:

'There is Only One Planet': The Bemusing Claims of London's Climate Warriors
Apparently blissfully unaware of their hypocrisy, marchers have left placards emblazoned with complaints about the government and environmental issues strewn around on the pavement. The thousands of left-wing activists who descended shouting and stomping through London’s streets no doubt moved on to bars, restaurants or their homes to smugly congratulate themselves on having done their bit for Mother Nature, unsurprisingly not only expecting other people to pay for everything they demand,

A Bunch Of Self Obsessed Air Heads Only Interested In Publicity
The headline sums up some of the speakers or yesterday's climate change protest in London. But we know scientists are vacuous wannabe celebrities. The surprising thing was the showbiz and media luvvies showed themselves even more stupid and out of touch with reality. Take Emma Thompson. A fine actress but we should remember her job is pretending to be somebody else. and having spent most of her life pretending to be somebody else, when ...

Nationalism the new target for left wing screechers
The screechers have a new target for their hate, Nationalism. OMFG, I am sick of seeing on Facebook and other Sheeple sites posts from the army of bandwagon followers condemning nationalism. Hate attacks on Andy Murray because he voted Yes for Scottish Independence were deplorable, the bloke is entitled to his opinion FFS. The lefties hater did not stop there however, attacks on his mother are just disgusting (but entirely typical of the Labour voting, free speech hating, all-things-British loathing, bourgeois left scum.)

Rotherham Childcare Chief Quits Over Mass Sex Abuse Scandal

After weeks of mounting pressure and in the wake of resignations by council political leaders and senior exectutives and also of the recently elected Police Crime Commissioner for the scandal hit town, Joyce Thacker the head of children's services at Rotherham council has finally quit. Following the revelation of a massive cover up by elected representative, police and care professionals who went to considerable lengths to avoid acting on allegations of organised sex abuse gangs consisting mostly of

GCHQ employs more than 100 dyslexic spies. So what?
A lot of people in comment threads seemed eager to get their knickers in a twist this morning about a story headlined: GCHQ employs more than 100 dyslexic and dyspraxic spies. The story tells how the government snoopers intelligence agency down in Cheltenham uses dyslexics' ability to analyse complex information in a 'dispassionate, logical and analytical' in the fight against terror.

Obama administration ‘blocking' information from the press
Uncovering information that should be available to the public has become increasingly difficult under the presidency of Barack Obama, an Associated Press bureau chief says. In some cases, it surpasses the secrecy of the George W. Bush administration. The White House's penchant for secrecy does not just apply to the federal government, according to AP's Washington bureau chief, Sally Buzbee.

An Interesting Perspective From Across The Pond On The Scottish Referendum Result
The almost inevitable accusations of fraud and vote rigging are beginning to emerge in the wake of the Scottish independence referendum. Surprisingly the likely culprit most fingers are pointing at is not the SNP, leaders of the YES campaign or the Westminster government which wanted to avoid the embarrassment of a no, but the Euronazis in Brussels whose plans for a single European nation would have suffered from a YES vote.

Submerged forests' drowned by ancient climate change revealed by 2014 storms.
Here's yet another smack in the mouth for those smug, condescending scientists who talk down to the rest of us. Far from being a new thing, climsste change was affecting the environment at the beginning of the Bronze age. How many fossil fuel burning power stations did the beaker people have then, and how many Chelsea tractors were tearing up and down the ridgeways?

1000 Scientists Break Ranks On Global Warming - Laugh? I Nearly Shat
You've all heard from members of the Church Of Scienceology Cult about how there was total consensus (despite a lack of empirical evidence) that the planet is warming so rabidly there are now no ice caps at either the North or South Poles, that the last polar bear perished when someone ate its Fox's Glacier Mint and that there are now ...

How To Be Totally Uncool (By TryingTo Look Cooler Than You Are)
Many of the 4700 people camped outside the Apple store on New York's 5th Avenue in the picture above are unemployed (and very likely being paid cash in hand by others to queue for days). Few, if any, among either the campers or the buyers will spend $3,600 for a "gold" iPhone like someone in China just did. But those who are buying will gladly pay ...

South Yorkshire Police Commissioner Shaun Wright Finally Resigns Over Rotherham Child Abuse Scandal The man who bears most responsibility for failure to investigate the Rotherham child abuse scandal has finally resigned after three weeks of excuses and evasions. Police Commissioner Wright has been under pressure ever since a report by Prof Alexis Jay (see below) revealed a huge level of child abuse in the South Yourkshire town of Rotherham. The organised sex crime rings had been operating for ...

UKIP MEP Received Death Threats After Criticizing Rotherham's Labour Council Council Over Sex Abuse Scandal Jane Collins, the UKIP Member of the European Parliament for Yorkshire, has been speaking out about the failure of the senior police officers, the social services department managers in Rotherham and leaders of the Labour controlled council all of whom failed to act on allegations that groups of mainly Pakistani men were carrying out the organised sexual abuse of under age girls who found themselves in the care of the authorities.

Bill Gates Foundation Giving Millions to Top University In Order To Influence GMO “Debate” - It Must Be Dodgy
Former Microsoft CEO and mega mogul Bill Gates has long utilized his vast fortune to push genetically modified organisms (GMOs) through his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, but Gates’ efforts have been met with sharp criticism from millions of grassroots activists both home and abroad.

Rotherham: In the face of such evil, who is the racist now?
Here's a question for wannabe Mastermind contestants. If South Yorkshire Police can mount a raid on the home of pop singer Sir Cliff Richard, two hundred miles away from their patch in pursuit of evidence linked to a single and unsubstantiated allegation of child sex abuse 30 years ago, why were the same South Yorkshire Police force unable to conduct a proper investigation into multiple allegations against men who raped 1,400 children over 16 years?

Denis MacShane: I was too much of a 'liberal leftie' and should have done more to investigate child abuse
In a rare mome

nt of candour disgraced former Labour Member Of Parliament for Rotherham, Dennis MacShane admitted he could have done more to protect the victims of sex abuse gangs in his constituency who preyed on young girls in the local authority care system. While maintaing he knew of no specific allegations MacShane said he could have investigated rumours circulating in the town.

Rotherham Abuse Cover Up Cover UP
Not so long ago we were venting our spleen about the selection of Judge Butler - Sloss to head up an inquiry about how allegations of paedophile offences by well known celebrities, politicians and establishment figures were covered up for many years. It turned out Lady Butler Sloss was the sister of the now deceased Attorney General Sir Michael Havers who was directly involved in
