Grand Theft Euro

When this report popped up on Reuters news feed, market analysts at Zero Hedge thought the article, titled “EU executive sees personal savings used to plug long-term financing gap”, which leaked a proposal by the European Commission, was a hoax. as hours passed without a retraction appearing however, it became apparent that the story is true. On picking up the story from Zero Hedge, we at the Daily Stirrer shrugged and once again repeated our mantra, we told you so. Everything we have warned of in numerous reports since we started in 2009 is coming true if it has not already come true. We said in the wake of the Cyprus ~~smash-and-grab~~ bail - out, the ruse of confiscating the funds of depositors in Cypriot banks was just a trial run for the corporate - financial cartel (aka New World Order) plan to steal everybody's savings and pension fund. To quote the Reuters’ report, "the savings of the European Union’s 500 million citizens could be used to fund long-term investments to boost the economy and help plug the gap left by banks since the financial crisis, an EU document says." It really could not be spelled out more plainly. The only part of the plan not laid out in front of us is that the "usage" will be on a purely involuntary basis, at the discretion of the “union”, and can thus best be described as confiscation ... oh, and in case you had not worked it out, the investments will be bond purchases from the central banks of sovereign nations on which we poor taxpayers will end up paying interest to the very people who stole our money in order to lend it to us. Transhumanism: With A Chip Under Your Skin

With a computer chip under your skin
you can see through walls, do anything,
you can fly around, tunnel underground
you can leap tall buildings in a single bound

OK, I know it needs some work but the technobabble about the benefits of transhumanism is getting so loud and persistent, people need a wake up call.

Once we all have chips implanted to connect us via the web to our fully automated cyberhomes we will be able to carry out most task from unlocking doors or turning on the oven to starting our cars, so says fully paid up member of the Hate-Your-Humanity club Frank Swain, who along with other dysfunctional lunatics has been trying to implant the RFID chip from an Oyster card in his body so he can conduct small monetary transactions with a wave of his finger.

The goal of these so called "grinders goal is to implant the chip under their skin, so when approaching barriers at London Underground stations or boarding a bus, buying a newspaper or a sandwich from a shop that accepts Oyster the customer can simply wave their hand and it looks like they are Harry Potter. Oh yes, they might say they are proving themselves forward thinking, clued up individuals but I think we all know the truth, don't we possums. People are already using chips liberated from Oyster cards and installed in jewelry, clothing, magic wands (told you so)and bags but so far implanting a chip under the skin has not been successful. The problem is finding something that will provide a protective coating without reacting with body fluids and triggering an immune reaction.

Apparently quite a few people have RFID devices implanted in the soft flesh between thumb and forefinger. One of the leading promoters of the never do anything for yourself if, at great expense, you can find a way to make machines do it for you, Amal Graafstra, who styles himself an "adventure technologist" has a re-writable chip microchip his right hand and in his left a simple identity chip to open doors and sign on to his computer. Why, one wonders? How hard is it to take a key out of your pocket, slide it into a lock and turn. Or type a short password into a computer?

Graafstra's business Dangerous Things is in the business of what he calls biohacking. This month (Feb, 20214) they set up a biohacking exhibit at the Transhuman Visions exhibition in San Francisco, The stand offered wannabe humandroids their first tiny step on the road to becoming true cyborgs for the bargain basement price of only $50 a time. Using a needle of the type used for microchipping animals, Graafstra inserted a ceramic coated RFID chip similar in size to a grain of rice into each ~~sucker~~ customer. By the end of the day Graafstra had created 15 new cyborgs.

Others visiting the stand found the idea creepy and said so. The idea of having implants under their skin that can link up to the internet conjures up visions of totalitarian control, round the clock surveillance and authoritarian Big Brother regimes like the one depicted in George Orwell's novel "1984".

Graafstra commented, “Every Hollywood movie has told them that implants are for tracking people, People don’t get that it’s the same exact technology as the card in your wallet."

WTF is wrong with these people? Not it is not like the fucking card in your wallet which has to be passed through or placed on a reader and which you retain some level of control over. Not long ago in Britain there was a case of people's Oyster cards being debited without them having bought anything, just though them standing near a sensor. And anyway, do you want Evil Empire corporations like Google, whose business is built on gathering, collating and analyzing your activities then selling your consumer profile to corporate marketing departments, to know about every little thing you did that involved spending a small amount of money?

And with Google and others talking about implants in the skull that will interface the brain directly with server farms (not feasible but these wankers cannot understand that) we have to wonder how far these amoral, sociopathic geeks are prepared to go. Because if such things are ever realistic you can bet politicians will want to use them in social engineering projects.

Big Pharma Financial Links To NHS Policy Makers Exposed

It is fortunate that we still have some honourable members of parliament who understand that their duty is to the voters who elect them and not to the money grubbing managers of the corrupt and discredited political parties that sponsor their candidacy or the fascist corportations whose money corupted politics and perverted the democratic system.

Unlike other government departments NHS England does not register its meetings with lobbyists. It also does not routinely publicly disclose all potential conflicts of interest of those who do work for it. While a report on NHS England – a quango set up to run the NHS under the Government’s health reforms raises serious questions about links between the lobbying industry, suggesting that NHS England should set out a "clear commitment” to disinvest in interventions that have lower impact for patients".

Senior MPs suggested involved with the report said that the medical industry was able to use its "wealth to influence government policy at will". One has called for a parliamentary debate.

"This calls into question the integrity and objectivity of NHS England’s handling of 143 specialised services for millions of people," said Liberal Democrat Tessa Munt.

Sarah Wollaston, a former GP and member of the House of Commons Health Select Committee, said: "NHS England is increasingly commissioning vast sums of public money and we need to know who is getting invited to sit on what panels and what potential conflicts of interest they might have." Tamasin Cave, of the Alliance for Lobbying Transparency, said: "This proves what’s long been understood, which is that the pharmaceuticals industry is a formidable lobbyist with unrivalled access to policy-makers and significant influence."

NHS bosses allowed a lobbying company working for some of the world’s biggest drugs and medical equipment firms to write a draft report which could help shape future health policy. NHS England commissioned a group called the Specialised Healthcare Alliance (SHCA) to consult with patients’ groups, charities and health organisations and produce a report feeding into its future five-year strategy for commissioning £12bn of services.

But the SHCA has confirmed to The Independent that it is entirely funded by commercial “members”. Its director, John Murray, is also a lobbyist whose company lists some of the world’s biggest drug and medical device firms as clients.

Mr Murray put his name on a foreword to the NHS England document along with James Palmer, the clinical director of specialised services at NHS England, with whom he admits he has had “many meetings [on] a wide range of organisations and interests”.

Why aren't these corrupt, theieving custards* in prison. They'll still be living on taxpayers money but at least the food is shit and there aren't any prostitutes.

*that's a man who is simultaneously a cunt and a bastard.

Was The Flooding Of The Somerset Levels Deliberate?

When Chris Smith, former Labour minister and now head of the Environment Agency, arrived on the Somerset Levels, severely affected by flooding for several weeks, few people turned out to welcome him. Was this because the good people of Somerset were so pised off with The Environment Agency, you might well ask. Apparently not, it turns out Smith didn't let anyone know exactly where he planned to arrive or when.

MP Ian Liddell-Grainger, Conservative - Bridgwater and West Somerset, was furious when he spoke about it to BBC News:

"I will tell him what I bloody well think of him - he should go, he should walk. I'm livid. This little git has never even been on the telephone to me. When I find out where he is, I will give it to him. He has not told the local MPs, the local council or the local press where he is going to be. He's a coward," stormed Liddell - Granger.

This failure to even contact the constituency MP and local authority officials is typical of the high handed and authoritarian response to this crisis. And it gives us grounds to suspect the whole thing was anticipated and is being used for political reasons, to shore up the discreited attempts to use climate change in order to spread enough fear and panic to soften us up for punitive taxes on carbon based fuels.

Even for the New World Order deniers who cling to a belief that all the recent stormy weather is 'an act of God' (in insurance terms) – rather than an act of HAARP – there is one inescapable smoking gun. You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist, because in this case the records of government consultations and EU Directives are a matter of public record, the flooding of the Somerset Levels is largely due to a deliberate run-down of the necessary maintenance to drainage infrastructure which is required for geo-engineered land.

The neglect of river dredging, and other land maintenance work needed for adequate drainage in areas where natural drainage has been disrupted by building, planting of huge concrete rafts as foundations for wind turbines and removal of peat beds for commercial reasons has been carried out in line with EU policy which in turn is part of with UN Agenda 21, a global fascist program designed to move people out of the countryside and into the cities, because of course, people and ancient villages get in the way of modern intensive farming techniques.

What will happen next? My guess is that the banksters, who hold mortgages and secured loans on most farm land and so get first bite at the cherry will move to buy land in the levels at give away prices when farmers are forced to sell because the land contaminated from overflowing raw sewerage is unuseable for food crops for a number of years. The banksters will then sell on that land on to gas extraction firms for fracking, as the area stands over a huge shale gas field which they’ve been itching to get their hands on.

And now you have read this, it all makes sense doesn't it?

ABC News sued for broadcasting truth about pink slime beef byproducts

Back in 2012, when ABC News broke the story of an industrial beef byproduct being secretly added to children’s lunches, the nation was outraged. And a major purveyor of that byproduct, South Dakota-based Beef Products Inc. (BPI), suffered massive losses as a result, which prompted the company to file a lawsuit against ABC News for allegedly defaming its “pink slime” additive, which was previously being added to lower-quality beef products without proper labels.

According to reports, the backlash against pink slime was so strong throughout much of the country that BPI was forced to shut down three of its four production plants and lay off over 650 employees. The general public, now aware of a highly processed, ammonia-laced additive hiding in some beef, quickly came to realize that we have all been tricked, ultimately driving all of that potentially contaminated beef product off grocery store shelves and out of fast food restaurants and school cafeterias.

The Dow Has Already Fallen More Than 1000 Points From The Peak Of The Market

The Financial Markets are a beautiful scam. Take a look at what has happened in the past few days in the context of market activity over the past year and then I'll tell you how the scam works.

On Monday of this week the Dow Jones Industrial Index was down 326 points. This followed sharp falls towards the end of last week. Overall, the Dow dropped more than 1000 points from the peak of the market (16,588.25) back in late December.

The Economic Collapse blog said this:
"This is the first time that we have seen the Dow drop below its 200-day moving average in more than a year, and there are many that believe that this is just the beginning of a major stock market decline. Meanwhile, things are even worse in other parts of the world. For example, the Nikkei is now down about 1700 points from its 2013 high. This is causing havoc all over Asia, and the sharp movement that we have been seeing in the USD/JPY is creating a tremendous amount of anxiety among Forex traders. For those that are not interested in the technical details, what all of this means is that global financial markets are starting to become extremely unstable.

Now unfortunately to some people the word market has become a sacred cow in the way that words like gay, lesbian, black, equality and disadvantaged have to the left. The fact is financial markets have little to do with free markets. The financial markets are and always have been the most tightly controlled and heavily manipulated area of international commerce.

Since the 2008 crash the global economy has stagnated, even China's economic miracle is stalling. As John Steinbeck told us, "The monster has to grow or it will die, and if the monster is to grow it must be fed." The question is how do we feed a growing monster when the food supply is static. And the answer unfortunately is that the monster must be allowed to steal our share of the food supply.

After recovering gradually from the 2008 crash, stocks finally returned to pre crash levels sometime last year (or maybe late in 2012, I don't keep statistics. At that point the monster was close to starvation. And so the store of food in the larder had to be made to look greater than it was.

How is that done? Traders working for the big banks start to force up prices by holding stocks and only releasing a trickle to be traded. The media play their part by hyping positive economic news and creating the impression that economies are growing strongly. Prices start to go up and everybody wants a piece of the action. Fund managers pile in although they understand how the game is played, so your savings and pension funds are invested and eventually individual small investors are sucked up in the tsunami of false confidence.

Then comes the point where the big investors have taken as much as they want out of savings and pensions. Sell, sell, sell, the cry runs round the market and the pre planned panic takes hold. Fund managers are first to offload stocks and get into cash or bonds, small investors cannot react as quickly and are hit hardest. The market goes through what is euphemistically known as a 'correction' and when it bottoms out the big investors quietly start to buy up stocks again, ready for the next bubble.

If you are not one of the people being hit there is a certain poetic beauty to it really.

Monsanto’s Roundup: new deadly scam exposed

Roundup is the Monsanto herbicide that is touted as the cornerstone of GMO food crops. Monsanto claims these crops are genetically engineered to withstand heavy spraying of Roundup.

Therefore, the crops live and the weeds die. Breakthrough.

There are several key lies associated with these claims (that the technology makes food a vehicle to deliver deadly poisons into the human body is just one) but a new one has surfaced.

A study to be published this month indicts Roundup and, in fact, the general class of insecticides and herbicides. On what grounds? When they’re tested for safety, only the so-called “active ingredients” are examined.

The untested ingredients are called “adjuvants,” and they are said to be inert and irrelevant. But the new study concludes this is far from true. The adjuvants are actually there to INCREASE the killing power of the active ingredient in the herbicide or insecticide.

Safety tests don’t take this into account. “Active ingredients” are already toxic, but the adjuvants ramp up their poisonous nature even higher. And the worst offender is Roundup.

Google’s “Smart Home” Surveillance Plans

Two weeks ago, the New York Times’ truth-humor strip on “The Home of the Future” came on the heels of Google’s purchase of ‘smart thermostat’ manufacturer Nest for $3.2 Billion.
With power utility commissions such as California already stating their intention to “expand third-party access” to in-home data, the perfect storm is brewing for Google’s mission of making you their product – even in your own home.

For context, this is the same Google whose executive chairman, Eric Schmidt, told MSNBC:

"If you have something that you don’t want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place."

While pushing to nullify privacy laws, the Big G obviously doesn’t care about pesky old-fashioned incumbrances like ethics either, as evidenced by this gem:

"I would argue that [us] implanting things in your brain is beyond the creepy line – at least for the moment, until the technology gets better."

The timing of Google’s purchase announcement is interesting, coming only a couple weeks after US federal judge William Pauley ruled that the unwarranted NSA phone surveillance against US citizens is legal. However, federal judge Richard Leon, the European Union, and the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board have all strongly condemned the spy programs.

War On Cash - London Bus Drivers Will No Longer Take Cash

Not long ago the Daily Stirrer reported on the banks and government war on cash, a push to get abolish the use of cash even for the most trivial transactions. The purpose of this can only be to create a surveillance society in which everything you do (even going for a dump in a public toilet) leaves a digital record by which all you movements can be traced.

More public spending called the left, but the proplem is too much public spending, science and too many experts. HAARP in Action. The Official Story And Its True Purpose

The situation in Ukraine is a fluid one and changing by the hour. Although it had appeared that there was a resolution to the protests that had broken out after the government of Ukraine had made the sovereign decision of sticking with Russia and saying no to closer European Union integration, excessive violence from the western backed opposition has spread like a wave throughout the country.

The so called Ukrainian “opposition” now resembles something more akin to armed insurgents in Syria involved in a coup d’état than opposition protestors.

Nothing To Worry Your Pretty Little Head About

Two events this week, on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean should tell you it is time to kiss goodbye your centuries-old right to free speech and orderly protest. In the USA, during a rather astounding state Of The Union speech The Emperor Obama announced that he will sideline the democratically elected Congress and rule by Imperial Edict, or Executive Order as American law calls it. I have compared Obama to the vain, narcississtic, tyrannical and egomaniacal Roman Emperor Caligula before. Was I right or was I right?

Meanwhile in the UK, Conservative and Liberal Democrat MPs won their bid to get the 'Gagging Bill' passed by the House of Lords. It won’t go back to the Commons because the Lords made no amendments. Effectively this mean while you and I as individuals, will be allowed to continue complaining about corrupt politicians, incompetent civil servants, corrupt Judges, the weather, the price of fish or anything that is pissing us off, we will no longer have the ability to link up with others to protest government actions in any meaningful way as such action may breach Liberal Democrat and Tory government-imposed spending limits. Your personal complaints will be deemed unrepresentative of the people because you are a minority of one.

You will still be able to have your e-petition on the government’s website – if you win enough signatures to have it debated in Parliament – ignored by the Tories and Liberal Democrats in the House of Commons. But as we know, e petitions are even less likely to be looked at than paper petitions.

What the coalition government elitists have said to us is, "Politics is too complicated for you oiks to worry your pretty little heads about, so leave it to your betters.

The Liberal Democrats and Tories have even managed to rub salt into the wound by creating a register of all the ~~corporate and academic whores~~ experts and consultants who will still be able to influence their policies, this list includes any freelance lobbyists employed at great expense by large companies for the specific purpose of swaying government policy. Lobbyists who are company employees will not be listed as the government says their purposes for meeting MPs should be obvious.

And what about a voter's right to meet elected representatives. Our political establishments seem to have forgotten that in an electoral democracy, the duty of elected representatives is to serve the interests of their consituents, not those of corporate entities, party donors and managers or any politically aligned interest group.

Israel Airstrikes On Syian Missile Launcher Bases - HAARETZ

The Israel Air Force bombed a Syrian base in the Latakia airport in the north of the country on Sunday, Lebanese media reported Monday morning. There are currently no other confirmations of this report.

Israeli security sources refused to confirm or deny the claims and there are serious doubts as to whether Israel in fact carried out the attack. In such cases in the past, information leaked was corroborated by the American government. They have not commented on this incident.

Now the Fed has announced it will start to taper the Quantitative Easing (QE, or printing money in plain English) investors see it as a sign to pull the “hot money” out of emerging markets pronto. Inevitably this is causing currencies to collapse and interest rates to soar all over the planet. Argentina, Turkey, South Africa, Ukraine, Chile, Indonesia, Venezuela, India, Brazil, Taiwan and Malaysia are just some of the emerging markets that have been hit hard so far.

In fact, last week emerging market currencies experienced the biggest decline that we have seen since the financial crisis of 2008. And all of this chaos in emerging markets is seriously spooking Wall Street as well. The Dow has fallen nearly 500 points over the last two trading sessions alone. If the Federal Reserve opts to taper even more in the coming days, this currency crisis could rapidly turn into a complete and total currency collapse.

A whistleblower who privately informed Google four months ago that their Chrome browser had the ability to record conversations without the user’s knowledge has gone public after the tech giant failed to fix the issue.

In the video above, the programmer explains how Google Chrome’s speech recognition function remains operational even after the user has left the website on which they gave permission for the browser to record their voice.

“When you click the button to start or stop the speech recognition on the site, what you won’t notice is that the site may have also opened another hidden pop under window. This window can wait until the main site is closed, and then start listening in without asking for permission. This can be done in a window that you never saw, never interacted with, and probably didn’t even know was there,” writes the whistleblower.’

Following an influential think tank’s call for a humanitarian “realpolitik” stunt to be pulled to weaken President Assad’s position, a report has miraculously emerged just 24 hours before the start of the ‘Geneva II’ conference which alleges systematic torture and abuse by Assad’s regime.

According to the BBC, the report was “commissioned by Qatar,” which has been an enthusiastic backer of the opposition rebels since day one. It alleges that 55,000 digital images of 11,000 detainees show evidence of torture, starvation and execution. The images were reportedly smuggled out of Syria by a defector named Caesar.

“Caesar” was apparently happy to take photos of dead bodies for years before releasing them to be made public just 24 hours before the start of Geneva II. The photos were investigated by a legal team comprising of the prosecutors of ex-Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milosevic and President Charles Taylor of Liberia.

Having failed to topple Assad by force, the west is now firmly intent of dragging Assad before the International Criminal Court, or flooding the country with UN “humanitarian” observers who will later be used as pawns to weaken the ability of the Syrian Army to fight the deluge of Al-Qaeda militants sent to destroy Syria by the likes of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey ...

‘Privacy experts have warned that commercial firms will be able to identify people when they are given access to confidential NHS patient data.

The Health and Social Care Information Centre is set to go live later this year allowing health or big pharma companies to buy patients’ medical records for the first time.

The HSCIC claims to have been set up to make research easier and to help drug insurance and health companies understand side-effects and trends on a national scale.

But companies like Bupa or Virgin that already hold data on UK patients may be able to use the new anonymous data available from the centre to precisely identify where it has come from, according to campaigners.’

How to opt out and keep your records secret

As of January 2014, NHS England is sending out a leaflet entitled Better information means better care via junk mail. It is not addressed directly to you as a patient and it deliberately doesn’t include an opt-out form. The leaflet says you should “speak to your GP practice” if you want to opt out. This is misleading and could waste your time and potentially waste valuable GP appointments. All you need do is write a letter or download a simple form (link below) instructing your doctor to opt you out, which you can fill in and post or drop into your surgery reception for their attention. These people are not like us, they do not think like us, their planning is to do with the preservation of blood lines and genetic heritages. Superficially there may appear to be a case for this but if we accept that the Jewish religion is not really that old and the reptillian theory is based on the existence of a rare blood group which is more likely to suggest an as yet unknown human or simian ancestor, then the cases look very weak. The overwhelming yet cleverly obscured phenomenon of extremely patient, devious long range planning by the changing guard of the "powers that be" is extremely difficult to undertand, because alien lizard men and ancient religious orders aside, the elite do not think like us ordinary people.

The "patience of the planners" aspect of certain families, tribes and demographics becomes evident to the diligent researcher. Common Dreams have a report on a leaked draft version of an as yet unpublished IPCC report on climate change mitigation which was obtained by Reuters on Wednesday. In the draft, former US vice president and well known ~~carbon credits trading billionaire~~ anthropogenic global warming activist Al Gore repeasts his assertion that any plans to execute "geoengineered" solutions to global warming are "insane, utterly mad and delusional in the extreme." He would say that, wouldn't he, his money is invested in carbon credits rather than geoengineering schemes. The draft IPCC report, as reported by Reuters, does not strongly support some of the more whacky proposed schemes such as pumping nanoparticles into the upper atmosphere, but does say that the inability of governments of the leading economic powers to reduce CO2 emissions from human activity will necessitate more drastic measures in the future to avoid the kind of global temperature increases the scientists have been predicting for the past twenty years (but which empirical evidence shows are not happening.)

Google buys Nest for $3.2 billion: Does this home automation acquisition point to ‘the internet of things’?

Google’s $3.2 billion (£2bn) acquisition of Nest, a company that specialises in building sleekly designed, internet-connected products for the home, has sent shockwaves through the tech community – and for good reason.

Last week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas showed that the ‘internet of things’ (adding computerised smarts to ‘dumb’ appliances) is going to be a big deal in years to come, with Cisco CEO John Chambers predicting that the market will be worth $19 trillion by 2020.

But despite this hype, most of the products showcased don’t hold much attraction for the casual consumer. Do you really want a washing machine that can text you? Or a fridge you can take calls on?

Peter Nieh, a partner a Lightspeed Venture Partners and a Nest investor, told the Financial Times that the company’s “magic” was its ability to "marry software and hardware in a way that makes them sing together in a customer experience."

Nest’s brilliance is that it cuts through this confusion, creating technologies that have been hailed for their ease-of-use, attractive design, and for actually solving problems rather than creating them. They've only release two products so far (and these are only on sale in the US and Canada) but both have been extremely well received.

The Nest thermostat learns users' habits - you set it manually a few times and it will pick up and automate temperature changes depending on your routine - whilst the Protect smoke-detector takes some obvious steps forward by being easy to turn off (you can wave your hand at it), connecting up to your mobile for peace of mind on the move, and adding carbon monoxide detection to the traditional set up.

If you are thinking that the "Internet of things" bollocks sounds a lot like the kind of hype Apple would use to sell a fairly standard cell phone with a cutesy pie logo for three times the proce of an equally serviceable phone from a less hyperbolic manufacturer, you could be onto something. Nest CEO and co-founder Tony Fadell is a former Apple executive e known as the "godfather of the iPod", and many are surprised that the company sold to Google and not the world's most hypocritical corporation.

Business Insider went so far as to suggest this could be down to a long-standing animosity between Fadell and British-designer Jony Ive (credited with the look of Apple's most famous products and now head of industrial design at the company).

Apple has not yet revealed any plans to get involved in the 'internet of things' market, but it has a number of products in its roster that would fit well. iBeacons, for example, has been described as an "indoor GPS" that tracks your exact location in a house (for apple fanboys who are so thick they don't know whether entered a room intending to have a dump or make a cup of coffee), whilst Siri's voice recognition would also be useful in issuing commands at home (enabling thick fanboys to tell their dishwasher to make them a cup of coffee - well at least it would taste like Starbucks). There's nothing definite from Apple yet, but when it comes expect it to arrive presented in a drab grey box and be hailed as a design masterpiece and fanboys would queue for days to get their hands on one from the first batch, only to have to go straight to the back of the queue again to wait for the arrival of version 2 to replace their now obsolete and uncool version 1.

Beyond the stupid factor that will make some people buy a pointless gadget just because a technology company tells them to, there are privacy issues to consider here. Big internet players are known beyond any reasonable doubt to play fast and loose with users' privacy. In using the internet we give up personal data in exchange for services whether we intend to or not. Google has been one of the biggest privacy violators, using info about its users to created personal profiles which it sells to advertisers enabling them to hit is with targeted ads. Adding information about your home habits would surely be a step too far for most people.

Fadell has given assurances that Nest’s privacy policy will remain unchanged. To anyone who knows Google however it seems pretty inevitable that before very long your Nest enabled domestic appliances will be linked to a Google server so they can gather even more info about users’ daily routines.

On top of all these drawbacks, what about the security issue. We know, thanks to recent leaks and whistleblowing that Microsoft, Google and other technology firms have built postern gates into their software to allow government agencies to collect users data. And we know that no internet connected device is 100 per cent secure. Do we want to surrender control of our lives to Washing Machines, Microwave Ovens, Television sets and crazy OCD bell-end cliques with names like Anonymous or The People Of Evelyn Tent? How hard is it to set the washing machined for cool wash. not as hard, I would guess, as recovering cash siphoned from your bank account or convincing a court it was not you who used your credit card account to subscribe to a kiddie porn website, but your washing machine, after you had fallen out with it over skid marks in your guzzies.

Austerity, Boom, Election, Bust, Crisis, Election. Round And Round we Go.

While George Osborne has been trying to woo disillusioned Conservative voters back from UKIP by spouting about the profound economic failings of the E U and throwing a spoanner in the works of the left's global government engine, Labour has moved to outflank the Chancellor, demanding that the current UK government prohibits the government controlled since the 2008 crash Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) from paying large bonuses, more than double salary, to any of its staff. This will be popular, no doubt. But then so are pornography, Coca Cola and Manchester United.

The question is whether encouraging a bank's employees who earn the biggest profits from financial trading to leave for jobs in foreign banks that pay unlimited bonuses will actually help restore RBS to health. Can't see it being a successful ploy myself. RBS is shrinking its markets business dramatically already, because the government wants it to. The new CEO, like the last CEO, disgraced Fred Goodwin, is dealing with the multi-billion fines and various other disasters. The last thing he needs is the leader of the opposition, who might be his bosses in less than 18 months time, telling him how to do his job.

It is easy to suss out Miliband's game. Labour's lead in the polls is not what the party would like and while the tories are not making much headway, UKIP are starting to threaten Labour majorities in the industrial heartlands. The economy is recovering and the cost of living crisis on which Miliband has fallen back may start to ease, although true employment and inflation figures do not live up to the rosy picture painted by the "official" (doctored) statistics. In these circumstances the labour leader needs to score some points and politicians have never been able to resist the temptation to point-score and grandstand. Demonising the evil bankers will, he hopes, prove to the public he is on our side.

I fully understand why RBS was rescued in 2008, when the meltdown of the financial system looked very likely. But at the time some of us worried that the taxpayer would be stuck with RBS and its toxic debt derivatives holdings for years.e but now with elections looming the coalition are trying to inflate another housing and consumer spending bubble. Good grief, Osborne's speech could easily have trumpeted from the big clunking arse of Gordon Brown. And so the corporatist nightmare continues ad infinitum. Meanwhile, the day when the British banking regulation system functions properly looks ever more distant.

But let's get a few things straight to that the people who have not noticed the knee jerk reactions of lefties turning into a goose - step mach towards global Naziism. The economic crisis which hit the UK in 2008 also hit the rest of Europe and the USA. It was not caused by British dependency on the financial sector, or bankers obsessed with profit... bankers have always been greedy, money grubbing, sharp practicing, short selling bastards, that's their job. We would not expect a rat to do anything other than behave like a rat so why should we expect anything different of bankers. The crisis was caused by Governments spending far more than they collected in taxes and borrowing to make up the difference, far more than they could repay.

It was fuelled by private debt, which Governments encouraged ordinary people to take on in order to fund consumer spending and thus help fill the tax - revenue coffers. That was not the fault of the banks: when a party turns rowdy, it is the fault of the organisers not the bar tender. The crisis originated in a housing bubble in the USA which collapsed caused by a sub-prime lending scheme introduced by politicians, governments drove up the price of homes and encouraged people to release equity to fund spending.

And what is happening now? Governments of the same political stripe are encouraging banks to lend more private and public debt.

As for mistakes by bankers, those mistakes should have had consequences for shareholders and the bankers so that they would learn and avoid a repeat. Instead they were bailed out by Governments because "they were too big to fail" so taxpayers suffered, so the banks could go on lending and serve political purposes.

Pissed Off With Euro, France Turns To Coupon Money

Some citizens of Montreuil, France, are rejecting the euro in favor of ‘La Peche’, a local community currency. When buying groceries, shopping for clothes , getting a haircut or getting the car fixed, according to Russia Today

In France, secomd largest economy in bthe Eurozone, about 20 such local currencies have emerged as public faith in state institutions and the government evaporates in the wake of failure to addess the economic crisis. The Montreuil coupon system lets locals pay for services and goods with special local banknotes, which are recycled and kept within the community.

Abandonment of the state's official curency is not confined to France however. Worldwide there are over 4,000 community-centered money schemes.

Herve Pillard, a French finance lawyer said this to Russia Today reporters:

“First it’s practical. Local currencies stay and develop in the region. Second ideological. A lack of confidence in official currencies makes people want to have something they understand, that they can control, and that they can trust, not just something that is printed, you don’t know how, with no control and leads to speculation."

Electronic or paper, the currency is spent and then directly fed back into the community from where they come from, which cuts down on the number of monetary circuits through which it passes, which in theory strengthens the community, reduces the ecological footprint, and is a hedge against speculative markets and tax havens, according to peche-monnaie, the local currency organization’s website.

“The problem with the Euro is that it’s not just a mode of exchange, but it also became a mode of speculation to feed banks. Local currencies support local projects on the ground, which means it works for us, the people,” Ghislaine Scheffer of ‘La Peche, Monnaie Locale’ association told RT.

Economies around the world have tried to use monetary and fiscal policies as a tool to strengthen economic growth. The US and UK opted to pump billions of stimulus into their economies while Japan used monetary easing to boost exports on a weak yen. In all these nations, priniting money (quantitative easing or the buying of government debt by the Central Bank has produced only illusory recovery, creating short term growth in GDP at the expense of devaluing savings and pension funds.

Euronazis renew push for ‘United States of Europe’

Viviane Reding, the unelected vice-president of the European Commission, wants national governments to be reduced to the role of a consultative tier, similar to the US Senate.

Last night Conservative MP James Wharton, whose Bill on a guaranteed referendum to leave the EU has its first full debate in the Lords today, hit out at Ms Reding’s ideas, as a “fantasy”.

Justice Commissioner Ms Reding, from Luxembourg, said: “We need to build a United States of Europe with the Commission as government and two chambers: The European Parliament and a ‘Senate’ of member states.”

Her plan would give the EU Commission supremacy over national governments and members of the European Parliament more power than MPs.

Google and the government want you to swallow ID chips.

You are going to have trouble swallowing this. I have investigated as fully as possible however and it appears to be true, at least as far as the intention goes. Swallowing an identification chip in a pill sounds like an idea that could turn into a load of shit if anyone tries to implement it.

Former DARPA director and now Google executive Regina Dugan is pushing an edible “authentication microchip” along with an electronic tattoo that can read your mind. No this isn’t a movie script about a futuristic scientific dictatorship, it’s trendy and cool!

‘Dugan, who is Head of Advanced Technology at (Google-owned) Motorola, told an audience at the All Things D11 Conference that the company was working on a microchip inside a pill that users would swallow daily in order obtain the “superpower” of having their entire body act as a biological authentication system for cellphones, cars, doors and other devices.

“This pill has a small chip inside of it with a switch,” said Dugan. “It also has what amounts to an inside out potato battery. When you swallow it, the acids in your stomach serve as the electrolyte and that powers it up. And the switch goes on and off and creates an 18 bit ECG wide signal in your body and essentially your entire body becomes your authentication token.”

Dugan added that the chip had already been FDA approved and could be taken 30 times a day for someone’s entire life without effecting their health, a seemingly dubious claim.’

Some people are still issuing daily hysterical warnings about how climnate change caused by carbon dioxide will destroy all forms of life if it is not stopped. What they are doing really is trying to advance a political agenda based on hatred of capitalism and big bisiness, particularly the fossil fuel industry. Ironically the busineses offering "green" solutions to our energy needs are ultimately owned by the same banks and conglomerates as the fosil fuel companies supporters of Big Green are trying to have shut down.

But it climate change such a bad thing, those who suffer chronic hysteria through their fear of it are almost as hysterical in branding the religious people who question evolution as right wing nut jobs. Talk about double standards! Without climate change evolution would not have happened and could not happen in future. So fanatical are the anti - climate - change, pro - evolution fanatics that they are often compared to followers of a religious cult. Scientism is the most frequently used disparaging label for it.

So why should we not fear climate change?

It is well-known among serious biologists (i.e. not those who try to give their fascistic views credibility by one minute claiming to be biologists and the next, swearing they are engineers, or those whose third rate science - with - box - stacking degree has earned them a job as proof readers) that environmental pressures which pose an existential threat to a species offer two possible outcomes.

The first is that by adapting to changing some members of the species, those best equipped to cope with the new environment, will survive and because the genetic characteristics of those members are passed on to future generations, the species evolves. It adapts by way of biological evolution to the new conditions and survives. The other outcome is that no members of the species can survive in the changed conditions and the species becomes extinct. According to research, extinction is also the outcome if the species starts to evolve but the time frame is too short to complete the process. After the last glacial maximum, there was a sudden change in climate (according to paleo - climatological researchers) and the planet warmed far too quickly for long lived species like the Woolly Mammoth to survive.

There is a fourth possibility, that a species, heading for extinction and thus facing a shortage of breeding partners will interbreed with a genetically similar species and produce a hybrid, a new sub species. There is an argument currently going on about whether modern humans are a hybrid of an earlier hominid with Neanderthals. We will never really know the answer of course, unless we find a way to travel back in time and observe.

Humanity and many other life are currently facing existential threats in very many ways. Almost all of them are manmade, they include deforestation, destruction of habitats, pollution of many types (carbon dioxide is a small and trivial factor) over population and the draining of aquifers and water courses. The Wamageddonists get their knickers in a twist about the least important of these factors and point to Carbon Dioxide as beinmg the likely sole cause of the coming mass extinction.

Mass extinction is already going on, it is always going on. Extinction is a natural phenomenon, it occurs at a natural rate of about one to five species per year. Once dinosaurs ruled the earth, now you are more likely to step in Rocking Horse shit than dinosaur shit unless you go looking for crocoldies. The Al Qaeda affiliated Shabab, the Islamic jihadist group based in Somalia took responsibility for the attack, ostensibly in reprisal for Kenya’s participation in the African Union’s mission to combat Shabab’s domination of large areas of Somalia.’

Some time ago when I mused that western intervention in such places should not stop at overthrowing the old regime, the powers responsible for regime change should take responsibility for the consequences of their actions, I was accused by some professional hand wringers of advocating re - colonisation.

I was not advocating recolonisation, merely recognising that is is happening and the new colonial powrers have the welfare of their colonial subjects even less at heart than did the old colonial powers.

It's the last day of 2013, let 2014 be the day the majority of voters wake up to the fact that the majority of politicians, business people, public servants and academics running our countrie are a bunch of self interested, elitist, crrooks, liars and cocksuckers.

We have told you for years electricity generation by wind farms is a scam, the goal being to load YOUR energy bill with stealth taxes (green levies) and shovel the money raised into the pockets of bankers and big business (after appropritate kickbacks to the politicians who define energy policy, the scientists who dream up the junk science to justify them and the government officials who circumvent building and planning reulations to fast track their construction.

New Nation Slides Into Civil War Thanks To Western Meddling

It's another "We told you so" moment for The Daily Stirrer as mainsteam media finally starts to report the war in South Sudan. In fact we reported this war would certainly escalate as long ago as 2011 when newly independent South Sudan, having elicited support from the meddlers in Washington to break away from the Sudanese government in Khartoum, within a matter of weeks was experiencing tribal and sectarian conflicts.

South Sudan you see was never reallyv a cohesive nation. The only things that united the various factions in this hotch potch political entity were hatred of the Arab dominated government in Khartoum and hatred of other groups within South Sudan.

Unfortunately western meddling has led to the stakes being raised dangerously. With US troops now on the ground in 17 African nations, Russia and China are busy buying influence on the African continent too by backing the groups fighting those supported by Washington.

Here's how The Guardian reports the latest situation:

US aircraft came under fire on Saturday on a mission to evacuate Americans from spiralling conflict in South Sudan and four US military service members were wounded.

Nearly a week of fighting threatens to drag the world's newest country into an ethnic civil war just two years after it won independence from Sudan with strong support from successive US administrations.

The US aircraft came under fire while approaching the evacuation site, the military's Africa Command said in a statement.

"The aircraft diverted to an airfield outside the country and aborted the mission," it said.

Hundreds of people have been killed in the fighting that pits loyalists of President Salva Kiir, of the Dinka ethnic group, against those of his former vice president Riek Machar, a Nuer who was sacked in July and is accused by the government of trying to seize power.

Fighting that spread from the capital, Juba, has now reached vital oilfields and the government said a senior army commander had defected to Machar in the oil-producing Unity State.

So it seems somebody is supplying one side or the other in South Sudan with some fairly sophisticated weaponry.

Daily Stirrer contributors have never for one moment thought there is any danger to humans from eating meat of milk produced by cloned animals. We do however have ethical concerns about turning animals into mere food producing machines. To scientists of course, a bizarre sub species that believe "Because we can" is always sufficient justification for doing anything, ethics is a toitally alien concept.

For years there have been concerns about the way animals are treated in food production and the urge of the mad scientits to totally replace natural reproduction in agriculture with a process that must be carried in a laboratary shows one again these intellectual idiots, lacking humanity themselves, are determined to dehumanise us all. There is absolutely nothing to be gained from cloning over natural reproduction.

The science lobby is populated with pathologicl liars, driven by OCD levels of control freakery there is nothing they will not do to advance their world domination ambitions. "By cloning," they claim, "we will all be able to enjoy the finest meat at present only available to the privileged few." To back this up they cite Japanese Kobe beef, beloved of arrogant rich bastards around the world.

Being OCD freaks scientists are stupid when it comes to anything outside their narrow speciality. The don't even know that Kobe beef and other specialised breeds created for the gourmet table are so highly bred they need special feed (veey expensive) and special, carefully controlled indoor environments. And all this whacks up the costs. Whereas your ordinary domestic cattle can get most of their nutrition from grass and spend much of their lives outside. So ordinary people will not be able to afford Kobe beef and when domestic cattle have been exterminated we will have to eat greay goo grown in a petri dish rather than a lovely juicy steak reader on the rich pastures of Shropshire, Devon or Yorkshire.

And as usual the fuckwith politicians, a sub species more completely detached from reality than scientists, are backing these insance schemes to replace natural farm animals with clones.

The idea of cloning animals for food may seem bizarre and akin to science fiction, however it is possible that beef and milk from the offspring of clones is already being imported here from the USA and other countries.

It is outrageous that we are even thinking of allowing products from clones to be sold without clear labelling. We have a right to know what we are eating and how the animals used in its production are being treated. And we need to remind these burueaucratic twunts that they exist to serve us, not corporate accountants.

A headline in The Independant today read: Tax authorities accused of 'siding' with big business over small firms and individuals. The story was about how thouse public spirited members of civil service unions who are always fucking us up because they hate capitalism, are so overawed by corporate executives they go easy on the blatant tax evasion of multinationals and instead ruthlessly pursue plumbers, electricians, appliance repairers, market stallholders and other small businesses, often spending more on investigating these people than they could ever hope to recover.

‘Britain’s tax authorities are accused by Parliament today of not being “on the side” of individuals and small firms who pay their fair share of money to the Government.

In a highly critical report, Westminster’s spending watchdog claims officials are “holding back” from using legal sanctions to recover money from large companies which use aggressive schemes to minimise their tax bills.

As a result the public at large is being forced to shoulder more of the burden of paying for public services while it has become “easier” for companies to avoid paying their way. In the case of medicating a generation of children who were said to be “unusually hyperactive,” the answer to that question is addressed by an in-depth investigation by the New York Times on Monday showing that the meteoric rise of diagnoses of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (A.D.H.D.)—a trend that spawned a pharmaceutical gold rush over the last twenty years—was, in fact, fueled by an industry-led marketing campaign that targeted struggling children, worried parents, and an army of doctors willing to diagnose and prescribe.

And what’s worse? The deep-pocketed, pill-pushers are now looking to expand their market. Doctors and psychotherapists are already incentivised (paid) to diagnose conditions such as ADHD, depression and Aspergers Syndrome and prescribe totally unneccessary medication.

The rise of A.D.H.D. diagnoses and prescriptions for stimulants over the years coincided with a remarkably successful two-decade campaign by pharmaceutical companies to publicize the syndrome and promote the pills to doctors, educators and parents. Dr. Keith Conners, a psychologist and professor emeritus at Duke University—who called the rising rates “a national disaster of dangerous proportions”—points out that though A.D.H.D is likely to occur in only 5 percent of the population, recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that the diagnosis had been made in 15 percent of high school-age children, and that the number of children on medication for the disorder soared from 600,000 in 1990 to 3.5 million today.

“The numbers make it look like an epidemic. Well, it’s not. It’s preposterous,” he told the Times in an interview. “This is a concoction to justify the giving out of medication at unprecedented and unjustifiable levels.”

The Mail on Sunday is not my favourite news organ but occasionally it gets things more or less right. Yesterday the paper revealed a complex web of political and financial interests that has created dozens of eco-millionaires and enriched many more who were already millionaires and billionaires by shovelling into their bottomless coffers money taken from the green levies (stealth taxes) imposed on household energy bills.

After a three-month investigation The Mail shows that some of the most outspoken campaigners for green causes, the Watermelons (green on the outside, red on the inside - h/t James Delingpole for that) who demand that consumers pay the colossal price of shifting to renewable energy are also making loadsamoney from their heartfelt concern for the planet.

Four members of the UK Government's Climate Change Committee, the official watchdog that dictates green energy policy, are, or have until recently, held sinecures with companies that benefit from the committee decisions. Conflict of interest? Of course not, we are asked to believe; these people are scientists and thus incapable of greed, self interest or any form of malfeasance. Dunno about you but I feel sure those genetic modification creeps have at last perfected flying pigs.

A new type of financial vehicle, green investment funds, which have been set up by bankers to fund the expansion of windfarm energy, are in practice a means of accessing green levies paid by hard-up domestic consumers and handing the proceeds of the theft to investors, bankers and financiers.

More Damining Expert Opinion Identifies GM Foods As Cancer Cause

In an astonishing letter to The Independent newspaper (one of mainstream media's most sycophantic supporters of Genrtically Modified foods) a doctor, Robert Rowen identified Russian research that showed the introduction of enetically modified organisms in the human food chain was responsible for a sharp increase in cancers. Connecticut governor signs first GMO labeling law in US

The governor of US east coast state Connecticut held a ceremony to sign a state bill requiring the clear labelling of all foods containing genetically modified (GM) organisms outside an organic restaurant in the city of Fairfield on Wednesday 11 December (2013) to commemorate the passing by the state legislature of what could be the first law requiring GMO labeling in the United States. In June this year Connecticut voters supported the bill which requires that all foods intended for human consumption must be clearly labeled if they contain genetically-modified produce.

The issue is not closed yet however, the Connecticut bill requires at least four more Northeastern states with a combined population of no fewer than 20 million to approve similar acts before it can be enforced as law. So far supporters of a GMO labeling scheme have sufficient support to carry a similar vote in one adjacent state, but winning over the others may turn out to be a long slog.

Maine voters have already elected to pass a similar bill, but in a region that includes the big government lovers of Massachusetts, along with New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont there is a lot of work to be done.

The GM labelling lobby are prepared for the challenge. Tara Cook-Littman, director of GMO Free Connecticut, praised the efforts of the GM Free Connecticut campaign in working towards new laws.

“As the catalyst for GMO labeling in the United States, Connecticut residents should feel proud,” she told reporters. “We are hopeful that legislators throughout the Northeast will follow the lead of Governor Malloy and all our legislative champions by passing laws that give consumers transparency in labeling. It is a great honor for all of us to stand with Governor Malloy as he signs the first in the nation GMO labeling law,” she said.

More than 60 nations around the world have now approved mandatory labeling of GMO foods, and polling suggests that the vast majority of Americans are in favour of doing the same. So far, in fact, almost half of all US states have introduces bill that, if approved, would either require labeling of GMO foods or prohibit them altogether. Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister and Corporate slave David Cameron is working with Corporate interests like Monsanto and the E U Euronazis in Brussels to find sneaky ways of getting this shite into the British diet.

China-Japan Conflict More Dangeros Than Syria

With the threat od armed conflict between China and Japan growing we should be aware that any clash between these two powers could potentially lead to a far more catastrophic conflict that the recent face off between the USA and Syria's Russian and Iranian allies in the eastern Mediterranean. In that situation the USA was first to blink and it could well be that China is seeking to force the Obama administration into another humiliating climb down. Japan has little military strength and would reply on support from it's ally, but China holds so much American debt it is calling the shots.

‘Former Chinese Ambassador to the United Nations Sha Zukang has warned that the dispute between Japan and China over the Senkaku Islands could lead to World War III.

Citing a Chinese-language piece written by Zukang for the the pro-regime Global Times, a report in the China Times says that Zukang warned of the futility of going to war over “those two tiny rocks,” a reference to the disputed islands which have become the center of a geopolitical tug of war between China and Japan, with the United States and South Korea also becoming embroiled.

Freak Weather Events In USA Are Due To Geoengineering

Recently President Barack Hussein Obama strongarmed an enabling act through the consitutional lawmaking process of the USA which granted himself, as President, sole authority to enact laws relating to the environment. Now one of the main planks of Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign was his pledge to shut down the oil and coal industries by imposing punitive taxes of fossil fuels. So far he has been prevented from doing this by public opinion and by the saner members of his administration reminding him that if he shuts down oil and coal he is effectively shutting down the American economy. The Emperor and God - King Obama does not easily give up his obsessions and has a track record fo9r lashing out like a petulant five year old when he does not get his own way. It should be no surprise then to be presented with evidence that recent freak weather events in the USA have been linked to scientific experiments in Geoengineering, the control of weather through various technologies. It makes perfect sense of course because whith the case for Carbon Dioxide driven anthropogenic global warming having collapsed after the evidence for that was exposed as nothing more than statistical sleight of hand, Obama's psychotic desire to punish America's middle class must be satisfied in some way. Iran Sanctions Bites the US in the Ass as Iran Responds With Petro Gold System

It was back in 2011 that The Daily Stirrer started carrying my warnings that American belligerence and bullying were well on the way to destroying the only thing keeping the US economy afloat, the Petrodollar. In spite of many warnings that as long as Iran was on good terms with China and Russia all the bluff and bluster of the Obama administration was onlu undermining the position of the USA. The Chinese, Russians, the Arab oil states and their trading partners have been concluding private deals to trade oil and other commodities using the currency of the vendor nation.

It started back in 2001, not with Iran but Iraq when Saddam Hussein began accepting payment for his country'd oil in Euros, Pounds, Australian dollars, Yen etc. There has been talk since then about Iran circumventing American sanctions by circumventing SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) agreements which stipulate oil must be paid for in US Dollars. The Iranians took over when Saddam fell and gave impetus to the move to dump the US Dollar as the world's reserve currency by initiating what could now be called the PETRO GOLD system. The move, on yop of the economic sanctions caused great hardship, devastating inflation and civil unrest in Iran Iran has taken the hits from the sanctions but founded . It has however allowed Iran to sell oil to China, India and Japan for gold and now other oil producing nations are following suit.

Iran has been shipping oil in shadow tankers, GPS turned off, and receiving bulk shipments of grain and edibles or transfers of gold in exchange. Dubai, and several tax haven states served as the international exchange route for these deals with Turkey as a transhipment point the gold payments.

Now Iran has demonstrated the system can work without the dollar, the USA may find itself paying a high price for the arrogance of its leaders. Once the Petrodollar is out of the picture, American Presidents can no longer impose a political price on top of the normal currency exchange rate. The ride of Petrogold fits nicely into China’s plans to replace the USA as the dominant global economy.

We should never underestimate the ability of Americans to shoot themselves in the foot. In the Bush administration the Vice President did it literally, President barack Hussein Obama does it metaphorically but no less spectacularly on a daily basis. Perhaps this is because The Rent Boy President is more concerned with gay rights, abolishing immigration controls, opening the border to Mexican drug cartels and throwing extravagent parties for Hollywood and music industry celebrities than with running the country.

And today customers were again shut out of their accounts when the Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest websites seemed to become inaccessible.

The company blamed the error on a so-called ‘DDoS (Distributed Denial Of Service) attack’, which occurs when a network of 'zombie' computers which have been infected with malware, encounter a trigger - a specified date value or a message and start to fire millions of requests for access at a target site, overwhelming its servers.

Once again we hear strong empirical evidence that far from global warming being an existential threat, it is cold that causes peoblems around the world. It is obvious now, or should be to anyone who was paying attention, that the Anthropogenic Global Warming Scare was just a scam to put more of our money into the pockets of corporate stockholders while snantching an even bigger chunnk of our meagre earning as "green taxes" for the purpose of "saving the planet".
