German media is somewhat dramatically perhaps (this is Germany we're dealing with after all,) predicting Monday will be the ‘day of destiny’ for Angela Merkel when the the Chancellor will be issued an ultimatum over, either suport Germany or support Islamification.The coalition between the Merkel-led Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and its conservative Bavarian allies is in crisis over the four - term Chancellor’s insistence that Germany’s borders stay open to all comers. Fed up of being forced by the federal government to pander to Muslim militants by removing any references to Christianity in public buildings because 'these might offend Muslims,' the Bravarian provincial government recently ordered that a Christian cross be displayed in every school classroom.
Germans have previously been urged to comply with requests from Muslims to remove pork and pork products from supermarkets and shops, to stop walking dogs in public spaces, and to desist from playing music outdoors as all these things are offensive to Islam. German women have also been told they should not complain when raped by Muslims because the way European women dress identifies them as whores in they eyes of Muslim men. The left wing idiots who screech about multiculturalism and diversity conveniently forget that even prostitutes in the west are protected by law and if they do not consent to sex it is rape.
The current dispute centres on one of the sacred cows of EU federalists, free movement. While the free movement rules apply to EU citizens being able to move freely within member states, in recent years globalist leaders, with Merkel to the fore, have reinterpreted this to allow non EU citizens, including those who have entered Europe illegally without even a passport or national ID card to establish who they are or where they are from to enter the Union and move around at will.
Christian Social Union (CSU) leader and interior minister Horst Seehofer, a vocal critic of Merkel’s immigration policy, has warned he will give Merkel two weeks to arrange a deal with other EU leaders over migrants who have already applied for asylum elsewhere, or else shut the borders to newcomers who have previously registered in other European nations.
Merkel, who has led Germany since 2005, has rejected the proposal, claiming that turning aliens away at the border would within the bloc. The so called EU values
Both party leaders are expected to issue statements on Monday afternoon after CSU and CDU officials hold separate talks in Berlin and Munich, to which Merkel was not invited. CSU secretary general Markus Blume told reporters that Seehofer’s ‘migration masterplan’ had the party’s total backing.
Publication of the masterplan has been postponed to allow for negotiations, but local media reports suggest the interior minister’s plan has the potential to further damage relations between the coalition partners because ir contains anti-mass migration proposals such as slashing asylum seekers’ cash payments and replacing them almost entirely with benefits in kind.
The sooner Merkel and those infected with the same globalist virus is gone the sooner we can get on with saving Europe.

TV Debate Exposes Bullying Attitude To Brexit Naegotiations

A discussion of the progress in Brexit negotiations descended into a bad tempered shouting match on British television last night, but brought to the fore questions over the EU’s aggressive negotiating tactics and unwillingness to to treat negotiations as being between equals. The EU's approach throughout the process has been to reject all British proposals without consideration and respons to every concession the UK has made by demanding more.
Former Cabinet Minister and Conservative MP Michael Portillo criticized the Proposals for the UK to remain in the EU single market and customs union have drawn heavy cross-party criticism from Brexiteers, with many insisting that it’s not what Britons voted for in the 2016 referendum. European Union’s (EU) “bullying culture” during a debate on the BBC’s This Week show, in which he locked horns with left wing Philosopher and European federalisation fanatic AC Grayling.
“I was in this studio before the referendum, and I kept saying ‘you see if the referendum goes the way the establishment doesn’t want it they [ the EU and its supporters in Britain] will soon be back saying there ought to be another referendum, which they have done to every other European country in which a referendum did not go the way Brussels wanted'. It’s part of the bullying culture of the European Union,” he is quoted as saying by The Express.
“If people defy what the establishment wants to do, they have to be bullied, they have to be punished, they have to be threatened.” Portillo stormed in response to Grayling's claims that British negotiators had been intransigent.
The former MP also rejected the idea of a second referendum, insisting that Brits had already voted on the matter and another referendum would be unnecessary. Furthermore, Mr. Portillo claimed that “this bullying and paternalism” is one of the reasons why the EU failed to retain Britain as a member state.
EU-UK talks to negotiate the terms of the UK’s withdrawal from the trading bloc have resulted in some progress, with an encouraging draft deal agreed earlier this year, but later this was rejected by the EU which demanded further concessions.
Proposals for the UK to remain in the EU single market and customs union have drawn heavy criticism from Brexit supporters in all parties, with many insisting that it’s not what Britons voted for in the 2016 referendum.
However, negotiators have struggled to find common ground on Britain’s post-Brexit trading relationship with the EU and the matter of the Irish border.

A campaign launched in the UK this week (Cervical Cancer Awareness Week) has employed a positively Orwellian abuse of language to encourage men at risk of cervical cancer to present themselves for smear tests that detect the disease in its early stages.
"But Basil, isn't a cervix something women have but men don't have?" you might well ask.
That was certainly the case when I was studiously avoiding the study of biology at school, but apparently due to the wonders of politically correct doublespeak modern medicine it no longer applies. Now men can have a cervix and have babies too. It's not just a case of men having the right to have a babies as in this scene from Monty Python's Life Of Brian, but the people who we have been foolish enough to vote into power say we must, by law, accept as fully functioning males people who can push infants they themselves have grown from seed, down the birth canal and into the world.
Ex - females who have undergone surgery (the procedure is called a 'strappadictomy' I believe,) may now have a willie and also a cervix. In fact some retain their entire reproductive system so that, as men they can have babies. And if you don't think that is insane you are raving bonkers.

Germany, not so long ago at the politically correct centre of the world, championing the cause of free immigration and the move to clean, green, sustainable energy (two policies guaranteed to leadt to the desruction of European civilisation, is suffering a crisis of arrogance as German society descends into chaos due to the actions lawless elements among the million or so uneducated, unskilled, uncivilised immigrants waved through border posts without any for of vetting, while the green dream of meeting all the nations energy needs with the medieval technology that is the basis of windmill design appears to be flat on its back with its legs in the air.
German energy minister Minister Peter Altmaier, has admitted for the first time the nation will fall some way short of its 2020 climate targets and that voters have completely lost faith in the renewable energy project which in Germany costs taxpayers around €25 billion per year in subsidies because despite accurate but misleading claims that energy from wind ans sunshine are free, collecting it and transforming it into usable forms is not.
Voters across Europe have lost faith in politics partly because of “unachievable targets” on renewable energy, said German Energy Minister Peter Altmaier, who rejected calls from a group of other EU countries to boost the share of renewables to 33-35% of the bloc’s energy mix by 2030. “Germany supports responsible but achievable targets,” Altmaier said from the outset, underlining Berlin’s efforts to raise the share of renewables to 15% of the country’s overall energy mix.
But he said those efforts also carried a cost for the German taxpayer, which he put at €25 billion per year. “And if we are setting targets that are definitely above 30%, that means that within a decade, our share has to be more than doubled – clearly more than doubled,” Altmaier pointed out.
Rather than cutting emissions of the greenhouse gas by 40 percent compared with 1990 levels, Europe’s largest economy will manage reductions of just 32 percent, said the annual climate report for 2017 signed off by Chancellor Angela Merkel’s cabinet.With even that reduced target looking increasingly unrealistic, these are shocking admissions from the country which has probably done more than any other to advocate for “clean energy”. Germany had set itself the ambitious target of becoming completely independent of fossil fuels in a scheme known as Energiewende.
The shortfall of eight percentage points translates into around 100 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) pumped into the air annually.
Last year, the German Federal Department of Economics and Energy published a brochure claiming Energiewende had been a huge success story. But this was a lie according to this German research document, published in English under the name Compendium for a Sensible Energy Policy.
The Energiewende has the goal of making Germany independent of fossil fuels in the long term. Coal, oil and gas were to be phased out, allowing drastic reductions in carbon dioxide emissions. However, these goals have not even begun to be achieved.This news is the latest in a series of public relations disasters for the renewables industry. It follows a crash in the price of solar energy (after China decided to cut subsidies) and the failure of Britain’s wind turbines to produce energy for over a week.
The Energiewende was only driven forward in the electricity sector, which, accounts for only one-fifth of energy consumption. There were hardly any successes in the heating/cooling and transport sectors. And so carbon dioxide emissions in Germany have been rising since 2009, even though well over a hundred billion euros have been spent on the expansion of solar and wind energy over the same period.
The financial obligations undertaken in the process will continue to burden taxpayers for another two decades and will end up costing German consumers a total sum of around 550 billion euros. Despite this enormous effort, security of supply is increasingly under threat.
At the same time, people and the biosphere are suffering; wildlife protection has become subordinated to climate mitigation, even though the possibility of achieving the goals of reducing carbon dioxide emissions is becoming increasingly distant and the measures for the energy transition seem to become more and more questionable from a constitutional point of view.
Meanwhile, fossil fuels – especially the most hated one of all, coal – are experiencing an unlikely boom.
According to the Financial Times:
Thermal coal, tagged the least-loved major commodity by analysts, is defying sceptics, with prices rising to the highest level since 2012 thanks to strong Asian demand.
High-grade Australian thermal coal, the benchmark for the vast Asia market, was quoted at $112.60 a tonne on Monday by Argus Media.
The fuel, which is burnt in power stations to generate electricity, has now jumped 130 per cent from its 2016 lows, boosting the profits of big producers such as Glencore and Peabody. The price of South African thermal coal has also hit a six-year high as consumers in Asia scramble for supplies.
While thermal coal is being phased out in Europe on environmental grounds, it still accounts for about 40 per cent of energy consumption in emerging markets, especially Asia.
Demand from India, Japan and South Korea has been robust in the first five months of the year, while an early summer heatwave has lifted imports into China despite Beijing’s efforts to keep a lid on domestic coal prices.
So let's just get this straight; thanks to the efforts of the science wankers who could not work out that when the wind does not blow wind turbines cannot generate and when the sun does not shine (on average 12 hours a day even in the sunniest regions of the globe,) solar panels cannot collect energy and feed it into the grid, we have spent $£€trillions on switching to clean, green, sustainable electricity only to find the science wankers and politicians (all politicians are wankers) have not yet learned what only with a grain of common sense knew from the outset.
And as a result of this outbreak of wankerism in the corridors of power and the halls of academia, we are now shipping coal halfway round the world from Australia to keep the lights lit, the heaters heating, the cookers cooking and the wheels of industry turning in western Europe.

I’d been suffering under the misguided illusion that the purpose of mainstream publishers like Penguin Random House was to sell and promote fine writing. A colleague’s forwarded email has set me straight. Sent to a literary agent, presumably this letter was also fired off to the agents of the entire Penguin Random House stable. The email cites the publisher’s ‘new company-wide goal’: for ‘both our new hires and the authors we acquire to reflect UK society by 2025.’ (Gotta love that shouty boldface.) ‘This means we want our authors and new colleagues to reflect the UK population taking into account ethnicity, gender, sexuality, social mobility and disability.’ The email proudly proclaims that the company has removed ‘the need for a university degree from nearly all our jobs’ — which, if my manuscript were being copy-edited and proof-read by folks whose university-educated predecessors already exhibited horrifyingly weak grammar and punctuation, I would find alarming.

While Germany' Merkel and France's Macron lecture the world on politically correct globalism and President Trump turns his back on Obamaesque arse kissing and lectures former foreign partners of the US on common sense, ahead of a G-7 (or rather, G-6+1 and soon to be 5 + 2 as Italy's Eurosceptic government sides with Trump,) summit in Quebec, exposing the very real fragmentation of the western liberal consensus continues.
If the US, isolated by the other, quits G7 (as Trump, based on his track record, well might,) that will leave Germany, Japan, UK, France, Italy and Canada. All of these have their own problems which eventually must override the airy - fairy ideas of academics about global approaches to problems. Global approaches may justify lost of expensive jollies for politicians and academics and look great on paper but seldom have any effect on local problems.
Trump's controversial imposition of import tariffs signals a US crackdown on unfair foreign trade practices, such as dumping cheap, shoddy goods from low labour cost areas in western markets at prices with which domestic manufacturers cannot hope to compete. Meanwhile, almost unreported by mainstream media (link goes to Bloomberg, I picked it up from a financial services news feed that I should not be accessing without a subscription, but hey, 'fair use') an important meeting between China's leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin is of far greater significance than the posturings of the G6 minnows, as, like bad tempered lap dogs, they yap at Trump.
Putin and Xi held their first meeting this year on Thursday ahead of the June 9 Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting - an eight-member group led by China and Russia - which will be held in the port city of Qingdao. The two governments are in constant touch however. China and Russia are of course leading the move to replace the Petrodollar as the global reserve currency and are playing an increasingly pivotal role in international crises such as Syria and the South China Sea.

Oxford University medical student Lavinia Woodward attacked her then partner after drinking at her university accommodation at Christ Church college in 2016.
The 25-year-old was given a 10-month prison term suspended for 18 months at Oxford Crown Court in September last year after admitting unlawful wounding, but challenged her sentence at the Court of Appeal on Friday.
Judges rejected her appeal, prompting her lawyer to tell the court Woodward has accepted she will never fulfill her ambition of becoming a heart surgeon.

The Czech Republic has rejected Angela Merkel’s call for external border protection to be denationalised and handed over to a Brussels-directed EU agency, stating that Europeans do not want mass migration from the third world.
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš was responding to comments the German Chancellor made in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (FAS) at the weekend when she called for Frontex become a border police force that would take over the role from national governments. The move will be seen by Eurosceptics as a sly attempt by Merkel to salvage her 'open doors' immigration policy, as the EU bureaucracy has always wanted to admit any outsiders turning up at member states' borders with the outside world
Merkel’s assertion that a common European immigration policy should be “flexible” — allowing nations which refuse to resettle immigrants to show so-called solidarity in other ways — has been presented as seeking compromise with governments in Eastern and Central Europe which are at loggerheads with Brussels over attempts to force third world migrants on unwilling states by imposing quotas. Some members say these are an affront to national sovereignty.
However, laying out her vision for EU reform, Merkel said nations would need to give Brussels total control of their border security and migration systems, telling the German newspaper that, “we need a common European refugee agency, which carries out all asylum procedures at the external borders, on the basis of a uniform European asylum law” in addition to opening legal channels for mass immigration from Africa.“This means that the European border police must have the right to act independently at the external borders,” she insisted.
In other words she thinks she has found a way to force immigrants on Hungary, Poland, the Czech republic and others.
Asked about Merkel’s remarks, Babiš told reporters: “The idea that Frontex will guard everything by itself is not realistic in the long term. Individual states must guard that.”
European voters are more aligned with the Visegrád nations’ tough stance on migration policy, the Czech leader argued, pointing to elections over the weekend in Slovenia where an anti-mass migration opposition party emerged victorious, and Italy’s recent vote for a populist, Eurosceptic government.

London Evening standard Sells Favourable Coverage to Evil Corporations
London’s Evening Standard paper, edited by former Conservative Chancellor George Osborne, agreed a multi-million pound deal with six 'blue chip' firms - including Google and Uber - to provide them with extremely positive news coverage, according to an openDemocracy investigation.

The project, 'London 2020', is being directed by Osborne personally, and represents a historic corruption of the 'Chinese wall' that should theoretically exist between a paper's editorial and commercial departments.
Paying clients will receive "numerous news stories, comment pieces and high-profile backers" in the Evening Standard, with concerted campaigns conducted in tandem with the firms' own planned communications and marketing strategies. The Standard told the firms involved other media outlets would also likely pick up the "favourable" paid-for stories too.
If the strategy goes ahead as planned June 5, readers of the Evening Standard — the UK's fifth-largest newspaper by circulation, at almost 900,000 — will be unaware whether a story they read is in fact "favorable" reporting, paid for by a major international company, in other words FAKE NEWS.
The openDemocracy investigation documents how a group of leading companies were given a detailed sales presentation by Evening Standard executives at the paper's Kensignton offices.
Those who eventually signed up for the deal — paying US$670,000 (£500,000) for the privilege — included Google, which has been under fire worldwide for its tax avoidance activities for some time. In March 2018, it was announced the company would pay UK corporation tax of US$67 million (£50 million), its highest ever — despite UK sales totalling US$7.63 billion (£5.7 billion).
During Osborne's time as Chancellor under Prime Minister David Cameron (May 2010 — June 2016), critics frequently accused Downing Street of having overly cozy relations with Google, and being too lenient on the tech giant's tax affairs.
The decision also comes a mere three years after Google launched the Digital News Innovation Fund (DNI), which has the stated aim of "[combating] misinformation and disinformation" and "[helping] consumers distinguish fact from fiction online," or in plain English, to suppress the publication of news Google and their political allies do not like.
Controversial 'ride-sharing' app Uber is also said to have signed up for 'London 2020'. The company is currently preparing to appeal against Transport for London's decision in September 2017 to cancel its licence to operate in London, after concluding the company was not "fit and proper" to operate in the capital.
In particular, officials were extremely concerned by the firm's approach to reporting serious criminal offences, and use of Greyball, software capable of blocking regulatory bodies from gaining full access to the app and preventing officials undertaking regulatory or law enforcement duties. A few months after Edward Snowden emerged from the shadows of America’s espionage world to shine a light on the murky business of mass surveillance, the NSA contractor said he never set out to upend the system.
“I wanted to give society a chance to determine if it should change itself,” the former intelligence agent said in Russia, where he has been living since leaking thousands of classified documents in the summer of 2013.
Five years on, it seems society no longer fears Big Brother so much as Big Tech.
While his revelations were met with outrage, the debate about our privacy being breached has arguably been overtaken by the revelations that 87 million Facebook users might have had their data shared with Cambridge Analytica.
It’s a “fair” point, agreed Ben Wizner, Snowden’s lawyer in the US.
“The gap between how people think they’re using Facebook and how Facebook is using them is immense,” he said in an interview with The Telegraph.
“We’ve allowed these companies to assembles vast dangerous databases - some people call them ‘databases of ruin’ - where if they get into the wrong hands, they can be used for real harm.”
Mr Wizner, a civil liberties attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), said fixing the problem would require structurally reducing the power of these corporations. However, he said the solution was more likely to come from Brussels than the US government. This is a rather alarming view as at the time of writing Brussels is planning a project to place software filters on ftp servers so governments and supranational bureaucracies like the European Union can control what is uploaded to the internet and thus what information and opinions we can see.
“The major internet companies spend more money lobbying Congress than do the oil companies now so I don’t think it’s realistic to look to US congress to lead the way on regulating Big Tech,” he said.
Mr Wizner said comparisons could be made between the intelligence community and Silicon Valley, claiming the mantra of both had been “trust us”. While the former said “trust us we’ll keep you safe”, the technology firms said “trust us, we’re building a better world," when in reality what they call disruptive technologies are in fact destructive technologies ained at destroying certain industries that are by nature the domain of small businesses, thus extending corporate control. While the tech companies glibly promise their innovations have great benefits for us as individuals and communities, in fact by destoying the hearts of ous communities they threaten our individualism.

Mr Barnier insisted all issues surrounding Brexit negotiations had been solely caused by the UK and "no one else". The EU Brexit chief negotiator was keen to blame out at Mrs May for failing to set a "clear position" for Britain's future relationship with the bloc even though she has set out several perfectly reasonable positions, all of which have been rejected instantly by the EU.
Barnier told Vice News: "It is the decision of the British to leave the union that has created the problem. No one else. Nothing else. What is sometimes hard for the British to understand is that we don't want to negotiate, we don't want to compromise on who we are. They want to leave, it is their choice to leave."
In an astonishing rant, he added: "It's not only about negotiating between officials in Brussels or London, it's about the people, about the business, about the stakeholders.
"So I think that this negotiation cannot be secret."
Mr Barnier questioned UK's relationship with the EU post-Brexit, saying he had "no certainty" about their future relations.
"We're waiting for the British to have clear positions and choices.
"This is their decision to leave, which creates the issue."
Mr Barnier dismissed all UK's Brexit proposals as "unacceptable", declaring that Mrs May's plans for a customs arrangement with the EU - a customs partnership or Max Fac alternative - was not possible, even though the situation already exists between the EU and several states with which it has borders.
During a meeting with members of the EU's Brexit steeering group, Barnier said: "Given the rather volatile British political situation, I recommend that we remain very united and clear about our objectives and principles. Members Of European Parliament Resist Brussels Plan To Censor Web Content
It was the ultimate plan nurtured by opponents of free speech, in particular the governments of France and Germany, and the bureaucrats who effectively run the EU, to control the content we could see on the web. Collaboration with Facebook failed because Facebook users are more interested in dying donkeys and piano playing cats than news, collaboration with Google failed because all we had to do to see the'verboten' content was use another search engine.
But controlling what is uploaded to the web seemed like the perfect way to stop members of the public seeing content that questions the official narrative.
The EU has beeen considering a copyright proposal that would require code-sharing platforms to monitor all content that users upload for potential copyright infringement (see the EU Commission’s proposed Article 13 of the Copyright Directive). The proposal was originally aimed at music and videos on streaming platforms, based on a theory of a “value gap” between the profits those platforms make from uploaded works and what copyright holders of some uploaded works receive. as such it was well intentioned. However, the way the proposed rules were written would enable it to capture many other types of content including news and opinion.
Upload filters (“censorship machines”) are one of the most controversial elements of the copyright proposal, raising a number of concerns, including:
- Privacy: Upload filters are a form of surveillance, effectively a “general monitoring obligation” prohibited by EU law
- Free speech: Requiring platforms to monitor content contradicts intermediary liability protections in EU law and creates incentives to remove content
- Ineffectiveness: Content detection tools are flawed (generate false positives, don’t fit all kinds of content) and overly burdensome, especially for small and medium-sized businesses that might not be able to afford them or the resulting litigation

The unexpected development injected a new element of tension into European Union politics and global financial markets, already unsettled by Italy’s struggles to install a government since a March 4 election.

The latest evidence of this is a story seized on by those sections always ready to demonise Russia, about the assassination by Russian government agents of a journalist in Kiev, Ukraine.
The reported killing of Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko on Tuesday in Kiev turns out to have been a ruse by the Ukrainian law enforcement allegedly to prevent a plan to assassinate the writer, Ukrainian authorities said.
After the initial reports of Babchenko’s killing, some Ukrainian officials rushed to accuse Russian intelligence services of masterminding the assassination, a theme quickly taken up by print and broadcast media in the west.
Reporting on the high profile case on Wednesday, the head of the SBU, Ukraine’s national security service, Sergey Gritsak shocked audiences by revealing Babchenko was alive and unhurt.
He claimed that the SBU had information about a planned assassination attempt on the journalist and acted to derail the plot. It was not clear whether they did so as part of the deception or simply followed their usual habit of pinning every high-profile crime in Ukraine on Moscow.

Government Accused of ‘Letting Rape Gang Victims Down’

A group of 20 MPs have called for concrete action to be taken against “sickening” grooming gangs, as the government was accused of “letting down” thousands of victims of child sexual exploitation in the UK. In a letter to the Home Office noting “alarming” similarities in how the gangs of mostly Pakistani-heritage men operate across Britain, the cross-party group called for government research into why the abuse is taking place.
As reported by Sky News, the MPs, who largely represent areas where grooming has been rife, stated: “Cases of gang related child sexual exploitation, such as those in Rotherham, Telford MP Says Police Ignored Child Sex Abuse Complaints by ParentsTelford and in Newcastle conform to a precise model of recruitment, manipulation and exploitation.
“Despite these commonalities, we are not aware of any research being undertaken to understand the drivers for this kind of crime.
“We believe the Government should commission research covering the specifics of gang grooming including the national networks in which this crime exists.” the group told Home Secretary Sajid Javid.
Most Brits Say Immigration Has Divided Communities
Some immigrants make it clear integration is not on their agenda
A strong majority of British people think immigration has divided communities, particularly in areas most affected by mass arrivals, polling by a left-wing group has found. This opinion is not confined to ethnic Europeans or older age groups. The study, by the think tank Demos, also found that a large majority of people responding believe the government should be doing more to preserve and protect traditional ways of life in a time of globalisation and deep economic change.
In responses to one of the most significant questions, 71 per cent said immigration has “made the communities where migrants have settled more divided”, with the number rising to 78 per cent in areas most affected by large-scale migration in recent years. The number was more than four-fifths, or 81 per cent, amongst Conservative voters, but also surprisingly high in working class Labour consituencies in the north and midlands which confirms the widely held view that the Labour leadership is totally out of touch with voters.
From focus groups and their polling, authors concluded that most people thought immigration had had negative effects and “the nation’s cultures and traditions are not being sufficiently defended and promoted”. A large number of Brits are also “particularly incensed by cultural pluralism, seen to be favoured over British values and traditions, and political correctness, regarded as taxing and repressive”.
According to their polling, more than half, 55 per cent, believe that jobs were more accessible in the past, 71 per cent believe their communities have been eroded in their lifetimes, and 63 per cent said that the UK’s world status has declined.

NHS guilty of 'ridiculous waste of resources' and could improve care without spending a penny more, top medic says
As government health ministers, opposition politicians, medical bodies and mainstream media turn the volume up to eleven and screech for more government money tp "save the NHS, a seniot surgeon, Profesor Keith Willet has broken ranks to tell the truth.
Writing for The Telegraph, the senior surgeon said that too often, the system had stopped functioning even before the first patient arrives for surgery. The NHS is guilty of a “ridiculous waste of resources” - and could improve care without spending a penny more,." he states.
Prof Willett, NHS medical director for acute care, urged staff to stop “fuming” when the system “grinds to a halt” and instead do more to prevent beds being blocked by patients who should have been discharged.
He said too many surgeons were left unable to operate - sometimes on a daily basis - because of a failure to tackle bedblocking, with beds filled by those unable to discharged for want of help at home.
“To have highly skilled surgeons, anaesthetists and nurses sitting around waiting for patients is clearly a ridiculous waste of resources,” he writes.
But he urged surgeons to stop “bemoaning” the problem and do more to help solve it, with better planning to identify what help their own patients would need to be discharged swiftly.
A radical transformation of the system could be made without extra resources, he said.

On Friday, Italy’s 10-year risk premium - the spread between Italian ten-year bond yields and their German counterparts — surged almost 20 basis points to 212 basis points. Contagion is setting in as investors in the United States return to the markets after their holiday weekend. We are witnessing a full-blown panic set in as markets around the world are down across the board.
The source of this comes from Italy and their inability to form a cohesive government. The current ruling party recently rejected the offer to form a coalition with the next largest party, which are Euro Skeptics.
The reasoning for this is that they believed it would cause unease and chaos in the markets. Ironically, the very thing they were trying to avoid is exactly what they made happen.
Now, Italy faces a political crisis. The pro EU government is losing control, and uncertainty gains momentum with each passing minute.

In The UK You Can now Be Jailed For Reporting The Facts.
Last Friday, as I reported here and at MINDS.com British free-speech activist and critic of the government sanctioned spread of radical Islam, Tommy Robinson, was doing his job, reporting for an internetnews channel, reporting live on camera from outside a Leeds courtroom where the trial of a number of Muslim men due to be tried for child rape, when he was surrounded by police officers and forced into a van. In the space of the next few hours, a judge tried, convicted, and sentenced him to 13 months in jail, and even more worryingly also issued a gag order, imposing a total news blackout on the case in the British media. Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was immediately taken to Hull Prison.
Most media outlets were remarkably compliant. News stories that had already been posted online after Robinson's arrest at the Scottish Daily Record,Birmingham Live, The Mirror, RT, and Breitbart News were promptly pulled down, although, curiously, a report remained up at the leftie online news site The Independent, a which mitigated its defiance of the order by describing Robinson as a far right extremist. It then summed up the least appealing episodes in his career and blamed him for an attack on the Finsbury Park Mosque,last January, which the subsequent trial of the perpetrator show Robinson had nothing to do with. Somehow, the Independent also got away with publishing a report on London's Saturday rally in support of Robinson, though the left wing judge's gagging order extended to reporting anything linked to Robinson's arrest.
The resulting document proved to be a perfect illustration of Western Europe's encroaching tyranny.

Russia's Gold Hoard Soars As Trust In Dollar As Reserve Currency \diminished

In spite of the presence of many close US allies, including Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, French President Emmanuel Macron, China’s Vice President Wang Qishan and IMF chief Christine Lagarde, Vladimir Putin dominated Russia's annual economic showcase.
The Russian president in an unusually outspoken performance, expressed concerns over the erosion of trust and the specter of a global crisis brought on by Washington's disruptions. This probably has a lot to do with the recent launch of the long planned Russian / Chinese alternative to the Petrodollar as a medium for cross border trades.
“The free market and fair competition are being squeezed by confiscations, restrictions, sanctions,” Putin said, in a clear referernce to the use of sanctions by the USA to bully smaller nations into accepting Washington's diktat.
“There are various terms but the meaning is the same -- they’ve become an official part of the trade policy of certain countries. The “spiral” of U.S. penalties is targeting “an ever larger number of countries and companies,” undermining “the current world order,” Putin said.
Macron - who seemed more enamored with Putin than the rest, replied: “I fully share your point of view.”
Putin also expressed frustration at lack of contact with US Predident Donald Trump, blaming the investigation into alleged collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia to influence the 2016 U.S. election. "We are hostages to this internal strife in the United States," Putin said. "I hope that it will end some day and the objective need for the development of Russian-American relationships will prevail."
As Bloomberg reports, the panel had its prickly moments. After Putin suggested that Europe depended on the U.S. for its security, and told Macron there was “no need to worry” because Russia would help, the French president shot back:
“I’m not afraid, because France has an army that knows how to protect itself.”
However, the most ominous signs were from Putin himself as he referred to changes to the unipolar order. In his opening statement at the plenary session, Putin said the global economic order is being undermined and that breaking the rules is becoming the rule of the game. The Daily Stirrer has been reporting on the currency wars being waged by Russia, China and Iran against the USA in reponse to increasing US military belligerence.
Coming a only day after Russia's Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that settlements in US currency could be dropped by Russia in favor of the euro, the significance of that threat was unequivocal.
"As we see, restrictions imposed by the American partners are of an extraterritorial nature. The possibility of switching from the US dollar to the euro in settlements depends on Europe’s stance toward Washington’s position,” said Siluanov, who is also Russia’s first deputy prime minister.
“If our European partners declare their position unequivocally, we could definitely see a way to use the European common currency for financial settlements, such as payments for goods and services, which today are often subject to restrictions,” Siluanov added, dangling the bait of a possible way to save their beloved single currency in front of Merkel and Macron as the EU confronts new problems in Italy and Spain.
The global economy is facing a threat of a spiraling protectionist measures that can lead to a devastating crisis, Vladimir Putin warned. Nations must find a way to prevent this and establish rules on how the economy should work.
Simply put, Putin concluded:
"US sanctions hurt trust in the US dollar as the world's reserve currency."

Spain's Government Collapses: This Is The End Of The Euro

The Spanish government, a fragie coalition at its inception, loks set to collapse in the next few weeks as the Ciudadanos party has broken ranks and thrown in its lot with the opposition group, PSOE (socialist) and Podemos in a non-confidence vote against PM Rajoy. After months of strife following a vote by citizens of the most prosperous province, Catalona, to secede from the nation, which prompted a fascistic response from Rajoy's government as it persecuted Catalan politicians, jailing some and causing others to flee the country, this can only mean Spain has taken a giant step towards disintegration.
The Spanish political crisis is inextricably linked to the pending conflict betwen the new Eurosceptic Italian government and Brussels, not simply because the nations are culturally and economically so alike, but because both, having been coerced into joining the signle currency, now combine to create huge financial uncertainty in the eurozone.
Sometimes a crisis in needed to make people see that the emperor, strutting around in all his pomp and glory, is not just stark bollock naked, but also is afflicted with several disfiguring diseases.
Both countries, though Italy perhaps more than Spain, would by now have experienced total economic collapse had the European Central Bank (ECB) not propped up their economies bu mortgaging Europe's future. In essence, the ECB's Mario Draghi is buying up trillions in sovereign bonds to disguise the fact that the present economic condition of the Eurozone makes it inevitable that the poorer south of Europe will lose against the north.
Club Med as the poorer nations are known (or less politely PIGS, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Greece) needs a mechanism for devaluing their currencies from time to time to keep up in order to reduce the burden of interest due on Sovereign Bonds. Signing up for the euro meant they lost that sovereign right, their economies are now tied to the German economic powerhouse, and the single currency itself doesn’t provide a way out. The main fault of the euro, it is that: it creates problems that would not have existed if the common currency itself didn’t. This was inevitable from the get-go. The fatal flaw was baked into the cake.
The common currency has been rendered obsolete by technology, in 2018, people have no need of banks or exchange bureaus to exchange their dollars, krone, pounds, or yen, we can either pay in plastic or get some local currency out of an ATM. All this could be done at automatically adjusting exchange rates without the use of all sorts of middlemen that existed when the euro was introduced.
Americans, Australians and travellers from non Eurozone European nations such as Britain or Sweden visiting Europe already use this exact same system and it would work just as seamlessly for Francs, Deutschmarks, Peseta or Lira. Governments could easily agree rules that make it impossible for banks and credit card companies to charge more than, say, 0.5%, on currency exchange transactions. Nations do not need a body like the European Union in order to make deals with each other.
Technology has eradicated the reason for the euro's existence, but the euro is here to stay because the real but unspoken reason it was created was to ease the path for integrating the EU member states into a single political entity. It is therefore going to cause a lot more pain and mayhem before it collapses because Europe's bureaucratic elite are not going to give up their dream or a pan European empire easily. Any country that even thinks about leaving the system will be punished hard, even if leaving is the only was to prevent that nation sinking into third world poverty.
So many carers have been built of fulfilling the dream of a single European superstate run by unelected bureaucrats, so much has invested in it, and the richer nations and their banks still benefit hugely from the problems poorer ones face. The countries that got it right were Britain and Sweden, both of which more than met the conditions for single currency membership but decided to stay out of the eurozone. Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece did not meet the conditions but through creative accounting and bullying in brussels were forced in, with disastrous results for all.
If, however, anyone want to take out a bet on who’s going to be worse off when the euro whip comes down, post Brexit Britain or for instance Italy, Spain or France?

Telford MP Says Police Ignored Child Sex Abuse Complaints by Parents
Telford MP Lucy Allan has taken police to task for ignoring large-scale child sexual exploitation by mostly Muslim grooming gangs, with abusers only having to say they did not know the victim’s age to escape justice.
Despite the age of consent across the United Kingdom being 16, men abusing significantly younger children were able to get the police off their backs simply by claiming the victims consented and that they did not know they were underage.
“All the perpetrators have to do is say, ‘The victim willingly met for sex and did not tell me her age’,” revealed Allan, who has campaigned determinedly for a proper inquiry into the widely unreported abuse of around a thousand girls in her constituency, as well as tightening of the consent laws.
“As each case comes to light, we cannot just go on wringing our hands and saying how horrific it is that different cases are emerging up and down the country,” she added, emphasising the need for concrete action in a velied reference to similar cases in Rotherham, Rochdale, Birmingham, sheffield, Bristol and many other cities and towns with large immigrant populations. In the case of Rotherham two government commissioned public inquiries have ctiticised local police forces, social services departments and elected officials, yet we hear reports that grooming and abuse is still going on, underr the protection of politically correct law enforcement policies.
Allan described how police treated one 13-year-old as a willing participant in her abuse by a group of older men, even after she became pregnant and her parents reported what was happening. In the Member of Parliament's own words:
“The grooming began while she was celebrating her 13th birthday in a local restaurant. While she was still 13, she became pregnant by one of those men, and her parents realised what was going on and went to the police.The identity of the perpetrators was not an issue and arrests were quickly made.
“Two things went wrong, however: the police failed to identify that the men were connected to each other, or that the child had been groomed. The police treated the men as if each one was in a separate relationship with the child. She was treated as willingly engaging in sexual activity with men she had voluntarily chosen to have a relationship with.
“How can the authorities assume that a child as young as 13 would willingly consent to sex with multiple men?” Allan demanded, adding, “Let us be honest: in the cases I am talking about, the men are not in the child’s social network — they are not young teenagers from the child’s school, or known to the child’s parents or older siblings.
“They are groups of adult men targeting young girls through street grooming or in takeaways and restaurants.
“How can the police possibly assume with good reason that the targeted child consents simply because she did not refuse sexual intercourse? Consent must be freely given without duress or coercion. Consent is a voluntary act.”

Law and Order activist and independent journalist Tommy Robinson was arrested this morning and taken to jail after an elite squad of South Yorkshire police mindless thugs detained him outside Leeds Crown Court, where he was reporting on yet another child grooming gang trial. Under Sharia law, which is now the paramount law in The Islamic Republic of South Yorkshire it seems, it is not illegal for Muslim men to have sex with very young children.
Robinson, former leader of the English Defence League protest movement but later joined the Quilliam counter-extremism organisation, was at the court to report on the trial of ten men accused of offences including child rape, trafficking, and supply of class A drugs to children, according to Caolan Robertson.
A video posted by Caolan shows Robinson being taken away by three police officers, apparently on suspicion of inciting a breach of the peace.
The recording of Robinson’s arrest shows an officer apparently seize his mobile phone before he is bundled into the back of a van. The exact number of officers at the scene is unclear, but at least half a dozen appear to be involved to arrest a man for simply reporting events as they happen.
“This is free speech. This is where we’re at,” Robinson tells onlookers, before addressing the officers directly.
“You know when you do this, more people are going to watch this now than ever,” Robinson tells them.
“This is ridiculous. Lads, do you feel right what you’re doing, here? I haven’t said a word — in fact, someone laid their hand and assaulted me outside court; other people swore at me and threatened me about my mother, and here I am being arrested for saying nothing. I’ve done nothing,” he claims.
The 10 accused grooming gang members are now on trial at Leeds Crown Court. Charges include child rape, trafficking & supply of class A drugs to children. Welcome to Britain.
A video posted prior to the arrest does appear to show Robinson asking two men how they feel about the verdict, to which one responds: “Go and f**k your Mum’s fanny, go and f**k it!”

While the euro crisis seems far away as all Eurozone countries ran government deficits below 3 percent of GDP, there is one problem for the euro that quietly keeps growing: the unresolved banking crisis. And this is not a small problem.
The Eurosystems´and euro banks´ balance sheets totaled €30 trillion in January 2018, that is about 291 percent of GDP. European banks are in trouble for several reasons.
First, banking regulation has become tighter after the financial crisis. As a consequence regulatory and compliance costs have rise substantially. Today banks have to fulfill demands by national authorities, the European Banking Authority, the Single Supervisory Mechanism, the European Securities and Markets Authority and the national central banks. Being at a staggering 4% of total revenue currently, compliance costs are expected to rise to 10% of total revenue until 2022.
Second, there are risks hidden in banks´ balance sheets. That there is something fishy in European banks´assets can quickly be detected when comparing banks market capitalization with their book value. Most European banks have price-to-book ratios below 1. German Commerzbank´s price-to-book ratio stands at 0.49, Deutsche Bank´s is at 0.36, Italian UniCredit´s at 0.23, Greek Piraeus Bank at 0.14, and Greek Alpha Bank at 0.34.
With a price-to-book ratio below 1, buying a bank at the current prices and liquidating its assets at book value, an investor could make profits. Why are investors not doing that? Simply, because they do not believe in the book value of the banks´assets. Assets are too optimistically valued in the eyes of market participants. Considering that the equity ratio (equity divided by balance sheet total) of the Euro banking sector is at only 8.3%, a down valuation of assets could quickly evaporate equity.READ ALL >>>

The progress of the Tesla Model 3, which was supposed to be the "entry-level" electric vehicle for the middle class, that would take electric cars into the volume market has been beset failures to meet promised production levels as well as technical setbacks.
Leading up to the launch of the Model 3, it was positioned as the people's EV, the electric car that everybody could afford, rather than being just a toy for virtue signalling liberal luvvies. Once in mass production, Musk promised, economies of scale would help the cash burning Tesla Corp. generate cash and profits consistently. The car's relatively modest $35,000 price tag (Only about $10k more expensive than comparable Ford, GM or Volkswagen models,) was heralded as one of its key selling points, low enough that Tesla could generate the volume needed to gain operating leverage by selling it to the masses.
But as Elon Musk himself admitted this weekend on Twitter, selling a $35,000 Model 3 right now would cause Tesla to "lose money and die". So, instead of selling this mass-market vehicle, Tesla has focused on selling a more expensive version of the vehicle. A much, much more expensive version, in fact more than double the base price. Yes, $70k for a very ordinary family car with a proven tendency to incinerate its occupants.
A lot of bollocks has been talked about Tesla cars, surely the public (apart from sceptics like me who know that the current generation of EVs have no more chance of being commercially successful that the first battery powered automobile, launched in 1829, and for the same reasons. Technology may have improved a zillion times since then, but so has what we expect an automobile to be able to do for us.

Jury Hears Police Sergeant Mohammed Perwaze ‘Repeatedly Raped’ 8-year-old Girl
A highly respected Asian police officer repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted a white girl over a period of more than a decade, on telling her: "I can love you more than your puppy ever will", a jury has been told. The girl was "broken down" by Durham officer Mohammed Perwaze, 45, who controlled her life, prosecution lawyers told a jury at Sheffield Crown Court.
Simon Reevell QC, leading the prosecution, said: "By the time she was a young adult, she had quite literally been broken down by this man so he could use her for his sexual gratification because of the sexual attraction he had had for her since she was eight years old. On the face of it he was a respectable police officer" but described a catalogue of sexual assaults, which included tying the girl to the bed.
We do not have to assume this is what passes for love in the relationships between immigrant males and European women, in Britain alone the same patterns of abuse have been uncovered in Rotherham, Rochdale, Telford, London, Manchester, Glasgow and many other cities and towns with large immigrant communities. Perwaze, who until he was charged in November worked as a police sergeant with Durham Constabulary, denies four counts of rape and 14 other charges relating to the girl — including five of indecent assault and four of sexual assault.

One of the most shocking features in these cases of systematic abuse is that municipal authorities prioritised the promotion of 'multiculturalism and diversity' over their duty to protect vulnerable members of the community. It has been recealed by two government - comissioned reports into the Rotherham scandal that political pressure was brought to bear on police and social services departments to turn a blind eye to the organised sexual abuse of white British girls by immigrant males mostly of Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin in order to avoid 'raising inter - racial tensions.' In this case Perwaze was actually a serving police officer and could not credibly claim he was ignorant of the law or what he did was acceptable in his culture. Europe to ditch US dollar in payments for Iranian oil?
Whisper it very quietly. The European Union is planning to switch payments to the euro for its oil purchases from Iran, eliminating US dollar transactions, a diplomatic source told Russian news agency RIA Novosti. If this is true the move should come as no surprise as this blog reported in 2016 that as a result of Russian and Chinese efforts to set up an alternative to the US dollar as the medium of exchange for bilateral trades, the EU was among many parties expressing willingness to use the new system.
Brussels has recently been at odds with Washington over the US withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, signed by the Obama Administration. President Donald Trump, badly advised by the State Deptartment and The Pentagon, has moved to re-impose sanctions against the Iran. According to many well informed sources the US action is in preparation for a regime change campaign against Iran. The EU may be displaying atypical sanity by indicating it wants nothing to do with such adventures after the debalces in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libys, Ukraine and Syria.
Earlier this week, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini revealed that the foreign ministers of the UK, France, Germany, and Iran had agreed to work out practical solutions in response to Washington’s move. The bloc is reportedly planning to maintain and deepen economic ties with Iran, which will include increased trade in oil and gas supplies.
Mogherini said the sides should work together on removing sanctions as part of the historic nuclear deal. “We're not naive and know it will be difficult for all sides,” she said.
The lifting of international sanctions two years ago allowed Iran to sell its oil in the world’s markets for the first time in nearly four decades. Since then, Tehran has managed to significantly increase its exports of crude although the bulk of its oild trade remains with China and other non aligned nations.
Oil is pegged to the US dollar on international markets however, making it difficult for Iran’s partners to make payments for crude and for Tehran to receive them. With the dollar playing the leading role on international financial markets, re-imposing sanctions would mean cutting Iran off from the global financial system. This is where China's new petro - yuan trading system on the Shanghai commodities market becomes a game changer. Nations are no longer dependent on US approval for their trades.
Dozens of contracts signed between European businesses and the Islamic Republic could be at risk of cancellation if Brussels obeys Washington’s reimposition of sanctions. This would damage Iran’s economy and European firms would lose a huge market in the Middle East. Canadian University Holds ‘White Privilege’ Conference
In an event that marks the latest step in Canada's descent into collective insanity, Ryerson University held the nation's first “white privilege” conference this month. Hundreds of academics, media luvvies, professional hand wringers and all the usual suspects turned up at the Toronto-based institution to indulge in an orgy of hated, bigotry and racism aimed at "white people. (nobody defined exactly who was being hated, as I've always said, no human being ever was truly white, no human being ever was truly black.
The week-long event, which took place from May 9th to May 12th, was largely organised by Ryerson’s first vice-president of equity and community inclusion Denise O’Neil Green. Apparently Ms O'Neil Green does not include white people in her definitions of inclusive or equality. Oh well, I guess her degree is not in English language.
Green told The Toronto Star her definition of “white privilege” was “an unearned benefit or ‘perk’ that one receives simply because of their skin colour. (What, like the benefits and advantages handed to blacks because of their skin colour? - how many white kids get affirmative action uplifts on their exam grades?)
A more multi-layered way of looking at it is that white privilege operates in terms of a system that benefits particular groups over others”, she added.
Ah, now it's clear, being shat on by a system that favours minorities is a privilege.
Another well known figure who took part in the event was Rinaldo Walcott, (why do all these paskudniaks have silly names?) an associate professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, who has been an enthusiastic supporter of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and participates in the “Faculty for Palestine” group.
I often wonder if these over educated, reality deficient half wits understand that however wrong the treatment of Palestinians by Israel is (and what has gone on there is absolutely criminal), for almost a thousand years before the creation of Israel, first under the Islamic Caliphate, then The Ottoman Empire, the Palestinians were doing it to the Jews.
When asked about his response to people who say white privilege does not exist, Walcott dismissed criticism saying that white working class people have an easier time progressing up the socio-economic ladder than black people or indigenous people. Nothing to do with their being smarter or harder working then.
Those who have a problem with White people — and any perceived "privilege" they are assumed to enjoy should leave European-derived nations. Europeans and those of European-descent should develop a new mindset when dealing with these Neo-Marxists. Massive Boost To China’s Petro-yuan As Iran Ditches US Dollar In Oil Trade
Iran's oil indistry is one of the most technically advanced.
The ability of the Washington World Domination Party to shoot itself in the foot is legendary, but their latest move, renewal of sanctions on Iran has handed a huge advantage to China’s newly established oil futures market operating on the Shanghai stock exchange, markets analysts say. The sanctions could even make the yuan a better option than than the dollar in the oil markets.
Since the low - key launch in March this year, interest in the gold-backed oil contracts has steadily increased. Traded daily volumes hit a record 250,000 lots last Wednesday, and the share of yuan contracts in global trading jumped to 12 percent compared to eight percent in March.
“The contract is thundering into action,” Stephen Innes, head of trading for Asia/Pacific at futures brokerage OANDA in Singapore, was quoted by Reuters as saying. “It makes sense for Iran to begin selling oil under contracts denominated in yuan rather than dollars.”
It certainly does if the USA sanctions mean Iran cannot sell its oil in Petrodollar dominated markets. China is the largest oil consumer in the world and also buys the most from Iran, a major OPEC producer. Beijing buys 25 percent of Iranian oil exports, which accounts for eight percent of its needs. Plenty of other nations, though smaller markets, are willing to defy the USA and buy Iranian oil on the Shanghai market.
“The sanctions... can potentially accelerate this process of establishing a 3rd (oil) benchmark,” said senior vice president for derivatives in Singapore at financial services firm INTL FCStone, Barry White.
By using more yuan in the oil trade, Beijing both saves the costs of exchanging dollars and promotes the renminbi as a global currency, analysts say. London's financial markets benefit because as the world's leading currency market, the London financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE), instead of simply purchasing dollars to settle accounts, oil buyers will now have to source the currency of the vendor nation, and then supply non Chinese purchasers with Yuan. Last week, Shanghai futures rose to a dollar-converted record high of around $75.40 per barrel, growing faster than rival benchmarks Brent and WTI.
Macron, Merkel Call for ‘Full Force’ EU Integration, Won’t Tolerate Resistance to Migrant Quotas

Emmanuel Macron has demanded closer and faster EU integration towards a superstate, in a speech where he vowed to “yield nothing” to conservative eastern members which believe in a Europe of strong nations.
Speaking in Aachen, as he accepted this year’s pro-EU Charlemagne prize “in recognition of his vision of a new Europe” and his “decisive stance” against nationalism, the French president urged Brussels to accelerate prpgress towards monetary union and creating a single foreign policy and defence strategy for the whole bloc. Like another French former future \Emperor of Europe, after whom his pirze is named, Macron does not recognise the right of sovereign nations to exist.
Condemning the “music of nationalism [that] is resounding everywhere in Europe”, Macron called for European political integrationists, who want to see more power concentrated in the Brussels bureaucracy, to “move forward with full force and as quickly as possible” with plans for integration so as to drown out the “clear [voices] of nationalists and demagogues”.
“Barbed wire reappears everywhere in Europe, including in the minds,” the French leader cautioned, declaring that he would “yield nothing” in the fight with Hungary and Poland over so-called EU values, Politico reports.
Macron, a former investment banker, does not seem capable of understanding it is the push for political integration coming from globalist money men like him that is fuelling the resurgence of nationalism.
As she presented Macron with this year’s prize, Europe's other leading federalist, the former East German seret police officer Angela Merkel endorsed the former banker’s vision for Europe, declaring: “We come from different political pasts but we find common ground, and that is the magic of Europe.”
Common ground on seeking the destruction of Europe's ancient civilisation and culture. Well anyone who has read Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto will understand why a former comunist and a globalist advocate of cultural Marxism would find such goals desirable.
The German Chancellor also repeated her previous calls for a new EU migration policy based on “solidarity” across the bloc, insisting that closing the border to people from the third world was “not a solution”. Merkel is obviously still clinging to the belief that the only solution to Europe's problems is more of what has caused and is causing those problems.
Demanding EU leaders protect “the European system of values … the dignity of each individual, in short everything that constitutes European identity,” Merkel warned the bloc should do everything to guard against “narrow-minded, backward-looking nationalisms and authoritarian temptations.” Quite how the Hausfrau - Volksfuhrer thinks being gang raped by ignorant third worl savages who still hold on to medieval values protects the dignity of European women was not explained.

When Emmanuel Macron came from nowhere to be elected President of France following a landslide victory a year ago, he pissed people off almost immediately by telling journalists he would not answer their questions because they were not smart enough to understand his thoughts. Shortly after that he declared he would rule "in the style of a Roman god," and compared himself to Jupiter, the Roman equivalent of Zeus or Odin. It's no wonder then that just a year later the wheels have come off the bandwagon and the man, who was once seen as the saviour and deliverer of his country, a symbol of hope and renewal, seems to have turned into a source of mirth, widely ridiculed by the French for his grandiose posturing and inept efforts to deliver on his promises.
In early May 2017, Macron won the French presidential elections with 66.1 percent of the vote, one of the biggest landslide results in the history of the French Fifth Republic. A month later, his party, 'Republic on the Move' (LREM), scored another impressive victory by winning a majority of seats in the French parliament. It should be noted that these results were largely due to a stitch up, with France close to ruin after the disastrous socialist policies of former president Francois Holland, and Marine le Pen's Front National party topping the polls only months before the election, the socialists and Gaullists (conservatives) combined to advise supporters to vote Macron, because Le Pen had to be stopped and the crumbling dream of a federal European superstate preserved at all costs.
Under the boy wonder's stewardship it is now becoming clear those costs will be far greater than anyone imagined. Macron, while supporting the USA's military interventions in the middle east, has thrown his weight behind more immigration and more Islamification for Europe, and following strong performances by Eurosceptic parties in German, Austrian and Italian elections, combined with growing resistance to the authoritarian attitude of Brussels towards member states, has called for acceleration of the push to political integration of the EU member states.
Some of Macron's reforms so far have attempted to revive the French economy and increase the country's competitive advantage on the international stage by targeting labor laws and social benefits. However measures such as a public sector pay freeze and making it easier for workers to be fired while also capping redundancy payouts have been disastrous for Marcon's standing in popularity polls. The changes have also led to Marcon being dubbed The President for The Rich. The benefits and subsidies system is seen as the foundation of France's social and economic structure, and is guarded by powerful trade unions.
The reforms were also aimed at reducing the country's high unemployment rate but as Macron insists on speeding up the admission of unskilled, illiterate migrants from the third world, it seems he is trying to solve one unemployment problem and simultaneously importing another.
A former Goldman Sachs investment banker, which was always going to ensure the left treated his every move with suspicion, Macron's policies also angered students to the extent that they blocked several educational facilities across France, including the famous Sorbonne, in response to the government's plans to introduce admission criteria and rank young people who apply to universities.
Meanwhile the powerful rail workers union began calling rolling rail strikes, which have severely disrupted train services throughout the country, with the goal of forcing Macron to rethink his plan for a major overhaul of state rail operator SNCF.
In the face of rising discontent with his government among all sectors of French society, Macron has maintained a god - like remoteness from public opinion as he drives ahead with a program of reforms which will prepare France for the transition to a province of Federal Europe.
His own party, however, which he formed only a year before the election as a stop Le Pen option when it became clear the traditional parties could not win, still accuse Macron of infringing upon worker's rights and doing favors for corporate "bosses" at the cost of others.RELATED POSTS:

Pro-sharia party leader: Belgium will have a Muslim majority within 12 years

Earlier it has been reported that the Islam party of Redouane Ahrouch wants to introduce Sharia law and create an Islamic State in Belgium.
Ahrouch, who is the founder and leader of the party (and quite possibly its only member), attended a debate aired on Belgium’s national TV on Tuesday. In the VRT-programme “De Afspraak” he announced that his party will expand from Brussels to other big cities like Antwerp and Ghent.
Ahrouch thinks Belgium’s changing population will increase his pro-sharia party’s chances: “Within 12 years, Belgium will have a Muslim majority”. He adds that then there will be two groups that can lead the country: “Extremists or democrats like us”.
During the TV debate, the leader of the Islam party refused to make eye contact with State Secretary of Equal Opportunities Zuhal Demir, because she is a woman. Ahrouch has previously said that a Shariah party government would mandate segregation of men and women on public transport to prevent sexual assaults.

Human Sacrifices Needed To Save The EU
During a speech given in Florence, Italy, the president of the European Commission (EC), the committee of unelected bureaucrats that effectively rules the EU, Jean-Claude Juncker today (11 May, 2018) called for EU unity before attacking "part-time Europeans" in phrases that exposed deep divisions in the bloc as Eurosceptic parties edge closer to forming Italy's new government, while the Eurosceptic AfD gain strength in Germany and the anti immigration party, the Sweden Democrats top the polls ahead of their national elections later this year.
Juncker (aka Jean Claude Drunkard on account of his alleged habit of having brandy for breakfast) did not directly discuss the possibility of an anti-EU coalition taking power in Rome, a prospect which looked increasingly likely yesterday.
He did however attack “the return of populisms and nationalisms” in Europe at the annual state of the union conference in Italy.
The left of centre Five Star Movement, which has called for Italy to leave the euro, and centre right group The League, both of which made gains on an anti-migrant platform, have launched detailed talks to form a coalition that would bring a Eurosceptic government to the Eurozone's third largest economy.
“I was shocked by the cracks that have emerged in the solidarity since the migration crisis,” said Mr Juncker, who declared that the world needed “more Europe” and a “strong Europe”.
Yesterday, Italy's president Sergio Mattarella warned that the only answer to problems such as the migration crisis, which has hit Italy and Greece the hardest, was the EU and called for closer integration of member states and more power to be put in the hands of the Brussels bureaucracy.
"To believe one can go it alone is pure illusion, or even worse, a wilful hoax against public opinion," Mr Mattarella said. "Everyone knows that none of the great challenges facing our continent can be tackled by any single member state on its own."
Well, forgetting that Switzerland seems to be doing OK, let's look at what Matarella's statement means in simple terms, in relation to the ciris in the middle east, the immigrant crisis, the single currency crisis, the Visegrad group crisis, the Brexit crisis, the energy crisis, the youth employment crisis, the Brexit crisis, and general hostility to the EU among a majority of voters. What he and Juncker are saying is to solve the problems caused by centralisation of power, political integration and currency union we need more centralisation of power, political integration and financial homogeny.

Fake News Alert: Doctors Mag Claims Air Pollution Deaths Due To Climate Change
Lancet, the journal of British medical professionals has published a completely innacurate editorial which falsely claims seven million deaths linked to air pollution were caused by “climate change.”
“The effects of climate change are inextricably entwined with health,” the May 12 editorial begins, “ranging from the WHO estimate of 7 million deaths from breathing polluted air indoors and outdoors.” The editorial then goes on to list a series of other alleged harmful effects of climate change, none of which are backed by hard evidence.
The main statement is patently false, and the Lancet editors must surely know that.
The World Health Organization (WHO) report to which the editorial refers makes no mention of climate change and speaks only of the adverse health effects of breathing polluted air, which is a different thing altogether.
According to the WHO report, “around 7 million people die every year from exposure to fine particles in polluted air that penetrate deep into the lungs and cardiovascular system, causing diseases including stroke, heart disease, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and respiratory infections, including pneumonia.”
All of these harmful substances which have potentially fatal consequences are causes by “exposure to fine particles in polluted air” and not by global warming.
In its infographic on the causes of air pollution, the WHO lists six sources of dangerous fine particulate matter, none of which is related to climate change, a phenomenon due entirely to the release of carbon dioxide from human activity according to the environmentalist lobby. The six sources of air pollution are industry and energy supply, dust, agricultural practices, transport, waste management, and household energy.
Among the six solutions proposed by WHO for combatting air pollution, not one of them touches on carbon dioxide emissions, for the simple reason that CO2 is not a pollutant and is not harmful to human health. Unlike pollutants, carbon dioxide is odorless, colorless, and most importantly, non-toxic. In fact the trace gas is essential to life, being the fuel used by the photosynthesis process to grown plant matter.
The report notes that deaths linked to air pollution occur mainly in third-world countries where a majority of the population “do not have access to clean cooking fuels and technologies in their homes.” The article in Lancet ignores that essential point and shamelessly links lethal air pollution to global warming, without bothering to attempt to establish a real connection between the two.
It then goes on to speak of how the horrible effects of air pollution can be averted by implementing measures to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from industrial, domestic and agricultural activity, which, again, is complete bollocks.
The overtly political editorial seeks to persuade a naïve public to enact policy to reduce CO2 emissions by making them think that this will curb deadly air pollution, which it will not. London Mayor "Unhappy Richard" Khan Wants to Meet Trump, Teach Him About Diversity and Islam
London’s left-wing mayor says he would like to meet U.S. President Donald J. Trump so he can lecture him on “how diverse we are as a city and how that is a strength”, despite having previously said that Trump would not be welcome in London. Given the wave of violence surging through the UK capial since Sad Dick announced that in future London Metropolitan Police would not bother investigating minor crimes but instead would focus on 'hate crime', it does not seem that diversity is working.
“Bearing in mind some of the things that President Trump has said about diversity, about those who follow my [Islamic] faith, [and] about London, I would be more than happy to meet President Trump,” Khan said on BBC Radio 4. He also insisted he wanted to tell the President it is “not mutually incompatible, having Western values and having Islamic values,” whilst attacking him for criticizing Islam. Ummm, the evidence, not just from London but from all around Europe, with Germany and Sweden especilly badly affected by the lawlessness of Muslim immigrants, suggests otherwise.
Mr Khan’s comments come as a senior White House source says that the President is “looking forward” to his visit to the UK, reports the Daily Mail.
President Trump’s “working visit” to the UK was announced towards the end of April, after he cancelled a previous trip to open the new U.S. Embassy in London, when Mr Khan spoke of “loud” demonstrations.
However, Khan appears to have maintained his support for protests, saying just over a week ago that “I think there will be protests, I speak to Londoners every day of the week and I think they will use the rights they have to express their freedom of speech.”
Khan has previously repeatedly said President Trump is “not welcome” in London as well as comparing him to fascists and Islamic State terrorists. The Speaker of the House of Commons, meanwhile, has promised to ban him from Parliament. In the past, Unhapy Richard and President Trump have clashed over the President’s proposed travel ban on terror-linked states, which Khan implied is racist. The President hit back, accusing the Mayor of being soft on terror.

Italy’s Five Star Movement & Lega Deadlock, Headed To New Elections?

While unconfirmed reports from Germany suggest the coalition betwen Social Democrats and Christian Democrats is in big trouble, another major EU nation is rocking the Brussels bureaucratic dictatorship's boat. Italian coalition talks between Movement Five Star and Lega, the two main anti - immigration, Eurosceptic parties have ended in deadlock.
The latest news out of Italy has Five Star Movement (M5S) leader Luigi Di Maio willing to consider someone else as Prime Minister.
Bloomberg (a long term fan of the E U and globalism) reports:
“I want to do a political government with the League based on some points,” Di Maio said Sunday in an interview on broadcaster RAI. “If Di Maio as premier is the obstacle,” then let’s choose together another prime minister, he said.There will be a meeting today (Monday, May 7th), to make one last push for a government.
Di Maio, 31, is making a last bid to form a “political government” before President Sergio Mattarella begins a final round of meetings with the parties after an inconclusive general election in March.
The Bloomberg article is giving you the preferred outcome for the EU's ruling bureaucrats, a League-led government with Forza Italia over-represented giving their stalking horse Silvio Berlusconi a larger say than he warrants.
The most significant paragraph of the article, reporting information the EU Bureaucrats will fear, is tucked away at the end.
Polling group Youtrend compiled an average of voting intention surveys on May 3 which showed Five Star at 33.6 percent, compared with 32.7 percent in March elections. The League has gained 4 percentage points since the elections while Berlusconi’s Forza Italia has lost about 2 points.It is worth noting that Bloomberg fails to mention the main pro - EU, federalism supporting party, the Democratic Party, has lost even more ground after it's catastrophic collapse in the March election. In that election Lega allied itself with right wing Forza Italia, led by former Priome Minister Silvio Berlusconi. The prospect of being in coalition with the convicted crook and Bunga Bunga parties fan (that's parties as in music dancing, booze and semi naked girls rather than political parties) was a deal breaker for 5 Star, but Lega have now distanced themselves from Berlusconi.
Interesting that Di Maio, only a few days after saying that he and Five Star Movement would prefer a second round of elections in July, is now saying he would consider another politician as Prime Minister. If the latest polling figures were borne out in an election, a 5 Star and Lega coalition would not need another partner to form a majority government.RELATED POSTS:

The Next War, On Iran, Is Starting Now
It is common knowledge that the war - addict states of USA and Israel have been craving for a war with Iran for years. If the versions of history available to us are to be believed, the Israelis have been war junkies for 5000 years, but outside their own geopolitical region nobody takes much notice of them. The USA is something of an enigma however, not only are they hooked on war, but also they do not seem to learn from history, not even recent history.
The failed interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria should have driven home the message, "Leave the middle east alone, we westerners don't understand the mindset, we don't understand the ancient grudges and we don't understand that they do not want to be like us.
This should concern us all, because with relations between the US and the world's other military superpowers, Russia and China as cold war level lows and the US unable to rein in its crazy best buddy, last week's Israeli air strikes on Iranian positions in Syria (where the Iranians have been supporting the Assad regime,) could be the final provocation that pushed the middle east problem beyond diplomacy.

The strikes reportedly targeted Iranian surface-to-surface missiles intended for deployment in Syria, and killed between 26 and 38 people, including 11 Iranians.
The attack appears to have been coordinated with the US, coming just hours after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo left Jerusalem - where, according to Haaretz, he had "thrilled Netanyahu with hawkish talk on Iran". That same day, noted the Times of Israel, "news also broke of a phone call between Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump", while Israel's defence minister, Avigdor Liberman, was meeting his US counterpart James Mattis in Washington.
This feverish activity came less than a week after General Joseph Votel, the head of the US army’s Central Command, or Centcom, whose sphere of responsibility includes Syria and Iran, made "a largely unpublicised visit to Israel."
While the danger of escalation remains real, many analysts have overstated the friction between Russia and Israel - and, indeed, the convergence of interests between Russia and Iran

If the UK is to to secure a deal with the EU for a soft Brexit, Teresa May's government must first offer a solution to the Irish border problem that is acceptable to Irish Republicans, Brussels bureaucrats and British voters, and so May and her merry men have not been particularly successful in the endeavor.
Gabriele Zimmer, a German member of the European Parliament on the Brexit negotiations team, has expressed concern about the stability of the UK government under Theresa May's Premiership and thus its ability to deliver on any agreed solution, Business Insider reports. She raised the recent resignation of Amber Rudd (who was replaced by Sajid Javid), in the wake of a scandal over the treatment of elderly children of immigrants from the Caribbean colones as an example.
"We need more clarification and clear answers. It's not just the government that is unstable — it's the whole environment," she said.
Zimmer also noted the UK's failure to suggest an acceptable solution to the Irish border problem warning that it could potentially lead to a no-deal scenario for Brexit. According to her, that promises nothing good for British conservatives. In this she shows where her interests lie, the government has proposed a technological solution almost identical to that which has served well for many years on the 'soft' border between Norway and Sweden.
She also dismissed Brexit Secretary David Davis' opinion that a UK-EU trade deal could be reached prior to March 2019, when Brexit talks are scheduled to finish. Freedom We Must Fight For
I haven't much time for Dutch nationalist politician Geert Wilders, anyone with such a silly haircut can never be trusted. Still, Wilders does talk a lot of sense on some topics and is worth listening too. Especially as his warnings about current threats to democracy and freedom are based on the memories of living under a brutal, authoritarian tyranny related to him by people who experienced such a life when they were young adults.
Wilders spoke on why we should be prepared to fight for our freedom on the seventy third annivesary of The Netherlands being liberated from Nazi rule.
"Seventy-three years ago, the totalitarian ideology of Nazism was defeated and the Dutch people regained their freedom after five terrible years of suffering and oppression. Today is Liberation Day. On this day, we celebrate liberty and democracy. We also remember our parents and we honour all those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
On a day like this, we are acutely aware that freedom demands a price. The price of eternal vigilance. No-one expressed this better than Ronald Reagan when he said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”
Today, a new totalitarianism is threatening our country. The ideology of Islam. I am not talking about Muslims. They are individuals who can be moderates, but the ideology of Islam cannot. Its founder Muhammed gave the order to conquer the whole world for Allah and to impose Islamic holy law on everyone, including on non-Muslims. The fate of non-Muslims in the Islamic world is the fate which awaits us if we are not careful.
For over 15 years now, I have been warning against the totalitarian doctrines which are being spread in mosques and Islamic schools in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the West. We should not turn freedom into a snake eating its own tail. If we allow freedom to an ideology which aims to destroy freedom, freedom itself will perish."

Docs reveal UK gov't secretly supports Saudi military action against Yemen
Yemenis defiant amid the destruction (Source: www.knownterrorists.com)Last month the war in Yemen slipped, unremarked by mainstream media, unnoticed by the oh-so-politically-correct talking heads on television, into its fourth year.If the war was simply a falling out between Yemen's Sunni Muslim government supported by Saudi Arabia and the Shia Muslim Houthi rebels, supported by Iran, there would be s strong case for non intervention, given that western interventions elsewhere in the middle east have only tended to make things worse. Unfortunately there being no FUKUS axis (France, UK, USA,) forces on the ground in Yemen does not mean the western powers are not involved. While Yemen is being pounded on a daily basis by bombs dropped by Saudi warplanes armed with missiles and weapons supplied by the three FUKUS axis powers, Iran's support of the rebels is of a lower level. After three years of Saudi air attacks the rebels are still fighting, but the suffering inflicted on Yemeni civilians is not far from genocidal. The country has a huge humanitarian crisis with many people now suffering from malnutrition, disruption of water supplies has led to disease epidemics because there is only contaminated water to drink and with many hospitals and medical centres having been deliperately targeted by Saudi airstrikes there is a chronic shortage of medicines. Mainstream media likes to present wars as being fought between the good guys in white hats and bad guys in black hats:Things are rarely that simple, and certainly not in this case. The Saudi Arabian government is an absolute monarchy that takes as its legal codex the medieval Sharia Law prescribed by the founders of Islam, the fundamentalist Wahhabi Muslim sect of the ruling Saud family exerts great power and the nation's enormous wealth and vast oil reserves grant it immunity from United Nations censure. Western leaders say the Saudis are the white hats because of their money and oil and because, when it suits them, they cooperate with NATO, the EU and the USA. Iran is a theocracy run by Shia religious leaders. It too is under Sharia Law, in much of the nation women and girls are treated as property and punishments are harsh for what can seem to people in the developed nations, relitavely trivial offences. In western media Iran is represented by black hats. In both nations women can be publicly stoned or flogged for disobeying their husbands or fathers and the penalty for adultery is public beheading. Both sides wear dark grey hats then. But what of the war, is anything being done to mediate between the two sides? UN Security Council investigators have documented violations of international humanitarian law by all sides with human rights officials claiming the "leading cause" of civilian casualties are airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition, (Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates,) which backs Yemen's President Hadi against the rebels, supporters of the more moderate and secular regime of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh. Houthi artillery and missile attacks in reponse aremorally no different but are delivered with vastly inferior technology and less destructive weapons. The rebel strikes are also less numerous, Iran does not want an all out war with Saudi Arabia and probably cannot match what the Sudis are spending on armaments. The British involvement in a war the UK government has called the world's largest humanitarian crisis is somewhat greater than government ministers are prepared to admit according to leaked documents. Throughout the Yemen conflict and long before, Saudi Arabia has been by far the biggest customer of Britain's armaments and military technology industry. Half of all UK exports of weapons and military equipment from 2013 to 2017 went to the Arab kingdom. Most sales were for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), 151 of whose 324 combat aircraft are British-supplied, along with weapons, radar and other ground systems, parts and spares. Faced with legal and political criticism, the UK government denies any responsibility for - and claims it cannot necessarily control or even know - how UK-supplied weapons are used by overseas buyers, Last July the High Court agreed with that view (though activists are now applying to appeal that decision). The recent revelations about the UK's relationship with the Saudi military challenges this 'flog and forget' theory of arms trade. Under a sequence of binding agreements between the two nations, the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and its contractors supply not only military 'hardware', but also software and "liveware'' in the form of expert military personnel to train and advise customers armed forces. Around 7000 people - civilian employees, British civil servants and seconded Royal Air Force personnel - are present in Saudi Arabia to advise, train, service and manage British-supplied combat aircraft and other military equipment. The government has repeatedly assured Parliament that these personnel are strictly hands-off: "there is no British involvement in targeting or weaponizing aircraft to undertake missions in Yemen" one of the leaked documents says. They also insist that neither UK military nor civilian personnel "are involved in the loading of weapons for operational sorties, nor are they involved in the planning of operational sorties". Over the past eighteen months, investigative reporters working with the support of the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, have sought to map these British and British-employed personnel in Saudi Arabia, trying to understand their work and their experiences. The precise numbers and functions have remained obscure, even in liberal, democratic Britain people who reveal such details tend to disappear or become victims of 'bizarre gardening accidents' and such . The UK-Saudi agreements that govern their work are classified 'UK Confidential/RSAF Secret' and are closed from public release until 2027. Even UK ministers say they "do not have full visibility of the prime contractor's manpower footprint in Saudi Arabia. As these agreements show, the umbrella contract between UK and the Saudis requires that "United Kingdom civilian and military personnel will remain available in Saudi Arabia for preparation, including arming and support, of the [Tornado fighter-bomber] aircraft during an armed conflict" in which Saudi Arabia is involved, though these personnel may not "participate" in the conflict directly. The clause makes no reference to the authorisation by parliament or lawfulness of such a conflict. British diplomats have always been concerned about the implications of this commitment, and have lobbied both Conservative and Labour governments for the clause to be removed. "At worst", the Foreign Office's Middle East Department warned the MoD , "this clause could expose HMG (Her Majesty's Government) to accusations that they were involved in an undercover role in unlawful military adventures; at best, it might threaten to compromise British neutrality in armed conflicts between third States." Papers elsewhere in the National Archives show that the commitment was removed from a draft version of the agreement circulated within Whitehall six weeks before signature. Backlash From EU Member States as Brussels Bureaucrats Demand More Money To Plug Brexit Gap
European Union governments reacted angrily to demands from Brussels for more money in contributions to fill the hole in EU finances that will be made by Britain's leaving. In the first EU budget proposal since Britain voted to leave, the European Commission on Wednesday tabled demands for an increase in spending commitments to £1.13 trillion over seven years from 2021. The current budget is about £955 billion.
Leaders of the wealthier EU nations in north west Europe expressed with disbelief at the plans drawn up by the EU’s administrators to increase spending despite the loss of around £13 billion a year from Britain. Meanwhile, leaders of the Visegrad group of east European states look set for a prolonged battle of wills over a proposed 'rule of law' test tied to cash subsidies, which will force governments to accept EU directives that are not in their interests.
The spending plans include vanity projects, buying political influence and a crazu £616 million birthday giveaway in free train tickets for 18-year-olds to travel round the EU and feel more European. Jean-Claude Juncker the president of the commission, showing his usual comtempt for democracy, dismissed the leaders’ anger. "It is normal that prime ministers, without knowing the intricate details of our proposals react in such a way, they always do," he said at a Brussels press conference.
"A smaller EU as a result of Brexit should also mean a smaller budget," said Mark Rutte, Prime Lars Rasmussen, Prime Minister of Denmark, said: "The European Commission just presented an EU Budget the size of 28 member states but we are only 27 member states to finance it." "After Brexit, our aim must be for the EU to be slimmer, more economical and more efficient," tweeted Sebastian Kurz, the chancellor of Austria. These three countries are all net contributors to the budget, meaning they pay more in than they receive back in EU funding. Britain is currently the second largest net contributor to Brussels’ coffers and Germany the largest. Excepting the three menyioned above there are no other member states which pat in more than they take out.
