People who habitually self medicate for chronic pain by taking more than the recommended daily maximum dose of paracetamol could be at a higher risk of dying or permanently damaging their internal organs and nervous system than those who take a one-off overdose of the drug, a study has revealed.
The danger arises because the so-called staggered overdoses are more difficult for doctors to diagnose and therefore treat.
Vulnerable Old People Routinely Abused By Carers
Results from a year-long inquiry into standards of care for the elderly at home how clear evidence of pensioners and vulnerable people being deprived of food and drink, handled roughly, humiliated and even robbed by people employed to care for them. Many incidents amounted to "abuses of human rights", which left elderly people feeling profoundly depressed, humiliated, in tears and even expressing "a desire to die", the report said.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission warns that care workers often spend just 15 minutes with an elderly person, ticking off pre-arranged "tasks" in an approach that displayed "chronic disregard" for the person's dignity.
In one case, an elderly blind man complained two council carers were talking to each other over his head, leaving him feeling like "a lump of meat". In another, a 76-year-old woman with advanced cancer was told her care worker could not prepare her a microwave meal because of "health and safety" rules.
Baroness Greengross, the commissioner responsible for the report, told The Daily Telegraph that 250,000 vulnerable pensioners in England were receiving "poor or very poor" standards of care at home.
The findings represent the latest in a series of scandals to hit the industry that has grown around caring for the exoloding number of old people in England. A series of damning inquiries by inspectors highlighted the failure of NHS hospitals to treat older patients with dignity, leaving them dehydrated and malnourished. While medical scoience poses and preens as the latest increaces in longevity are announced we see another demonstation of the great failing of scientists. They are so obsessed with their own cleverness they never think of what consequences migt result from their self aggrandizing work.
The 115-page report, published yesterday, estimated that only half of the 500,000 people receiving home help with tasks such as washing, dressing and cooking were satisfied with the quality of their support.
But "significant shortcomings" in the way councils commissioned services from private care firms and nursing agencies led to breaches of basic human rights for "hundreds of thousands" of frail pensioners, it said.
The report, which gathered evidence from 1,254 individuals, local authorities, care providers and other groups in England, reported:
Older people were not being given adequate support to eat and drink, while a shortage of time for visits meant some were suffering "neglect".
Money was "systematically stolen over a period of time" in some cases.
Carers showed "chronic disregard for older people's privacy and dignity".
Staff were "talking over" older people, sometimes on mobile phones, or patronising them.
Examples of "physical abuse" included "rough handling" and "unnecessary force".
Lady Greengross highlighted "disgusting" examples of age discrimination in the way councils organised care for vulnerable elderly people. While young disabled adults were often taken out of their homes on trips, the elderly were almost always left for hours alone at home, she said.
"We are talking about a quarter of a million people who are getting either very poor or poor care. Some of them are too frightened to complain. Some of them wouldn't know how to."
Lady Greengross warned that too often care workers were constrained by a "task-oriented" system, in which they are allocated no more than 15 minutes for a visit and by a box ticking mindset among their managers. This meant many pensioners were being deprived of "basic social interaction".
The commission called for a loophole in the Human Rights Act to be closed to require councils to agree human rights clauses in contracts with groups providing care workers.
The charity Age UK condemned the "shameful" findings, while Liz Kendall, the shadow minister for care, said the report portrayed "a service stretched to the limit". She urged ministers to join cross-party talks to devise a solution.

Thomas Cook About To Go Bust, Meeting With Banks As Business Dries Up
by Cleo Hart
The world's oldest and probably most respected travel firm Thomas Cook saw shares drop by more than 50pc after the struggling European tour operator said it was in talks with its banks regarding its financial future. Cook's reported trading has deteriorated and its cash position weakened so far its position is untenable.
"The company is in discussions with its principal banks with regard to its financial facilities during the seasonal low period of cashflow in the travel business," it said in a statement on Wednesday. The holiday group has issued a number of profit warnings this year and parted ways with its long-standing chief executive.
A spokesman for the firm added: "While the Company currently remains in compliance with its financing covenants, it also intends to seek agreement from its lending banks to adjustments that will improve its resilience if trading conditions remain difficult."
Thomas Cook said it would delay publication of its full-year results, originally due on Thursday, until the discussions are concluded. It is expected full-year operating profit will be in line with previous guidance. The vagueness of these statements gives a clue how bad things are.
In September, Thomas Cook suspended dividend payments to rebuild its balance sheet.
Manny Fontenla-Novoa lost his job as Thomas Cook chief executive in August after the third profits warning of the year, triggered by the under-performance of its UK business and political unrest in key tourist markets such as Egypt and Tunisia.
The final months of the year are a time when cash inflow at the tour operator is usually weak because it is a quiet time for bookings.
Shares in the group tumbled 51.5pc in early trading today.

Austerity for 10 years as no 'quick fix' for Britain, Reform warns
by Ian Thorpe
An economic Think Tank has warned Britain needs 10 years of austerity to fix its economic problems. Reform questioned Coalition plans to restore growth by triggering a building boom with taxpayers money and urged George Osborne to stick to his programme of spending cuts.
Suming up the prospects for the economic recovery as "bleak", Reform said that "slow growth is inevitable given the levels of debt the nation is burdened with". It added: "Even under the best economic scenario, the austerity programme should be at least a 10-year project with the first parliamentary term achieving deficit reduction and the second consolidating the gains." One has only to look at recent Daily Stirrer reports on the plight of the Eurozone and the state of the U.S. economy as President Obama continues strugling to understand that reading words from an autocue does not actually fix any problems.
Declaring "austerity is the new normal", the think-tank stressed that the Government "must avoid the temptations of quick fixes and inconsistency" if it is to attract the business investment that will drag the country back to health. "There is a view that the recovery from the financial crisis should have been largely instantaneous and painless but this is clearly unrealistic," the Reform press release said. "An excessive emphasis on quick fixes prioritising immediate wants while postponing hard decisions is one reason the UK economy is in the mess it is in. Inconsistency increases uncertainty and uncertainty reduces firms' incentives to invest and expand."
In its paper, The Long Game, Reform argued that there is little the Chancellor can do to stimulate the recovery bar holding a strict line on fiscal discipline, simplifying taxes and regulations, and maintaining consistent policies. Patrick Nolan, chief economist, said: "Mistakes made over the last decade mean that the UK now needs to go through a long period of low growth."
The think-tank also raised doubts about the wisdom of plans to reschedule Ł200bn of infrastructure spending, saying that "taking a 'build it and they will come' approach is a dangerous and potentially wasteful stance". The Prime Minister yesterday confirmed that the Chancellor will announce incentives for infrastructure investment in his autumn statement next week.

What If Brussels Apponted All European Governments
by Ian Thorpe
Following the imposition of Eurocrat governments in Athens and Rome, Quentin Letts indulges in a little conceit, wondering what a Brussels-backed British government would look like. His roll-call of the oily intellectuals Europhile Establishment is so incisive that, having begun his piece snorting with laughter, I finished it alarmed that he might be putting ideas into people's heads
What if the EU chose our cabinet too? As a Brussels power grab leaves Italy run by officials... imagine if it happened here what bland, smooth face slimeballs would run our country. They would make the current crop of spineless, principle - free politicos look like the latest shiney, highly tuned products from the charisma factory. It has been coming for a long time. I remember the last permanent job I held before going freelance as a consultant. The company, one of Europe's foremost electrical appliance firms wanted to keep its reputation as a fair employer and so rather than clear out the dead wood it asked who would be willing to be made redundant. I didn't fancy twenty years looking at the same faces in the same office and so put my name down. The generous package would buy me time to get established as a freelance.
My manager was appalled that my application was accepted. "How can you let guys like this go, people who can think for themselves, aren't afraid of responsibility and are prepared to make decisions, and yet keep time servers?" I was told he said in a meeting with Human Resources. He was told, "The future of this company lies with people who can work to procedures. People who go their own way cause problems.
And so we have gone on in that direction for the past thirty years.
With most of Europe in hock to its Franco-German masters and the prospect of a Federal Superstate coming closer every day, democracy it seems is so last century.. The political changes on the Continent this month make the rule of Russias Czar's up until 1917 look positively liberal (I mean that in the David Llloyd George sense not the Barack Obama crypto - Stalinist sense).
The newly appointed Greek prime minister, Lucas Papademos, is a wealthy economist and former vice-president of the European Central Bank. He holds nothing so sweaty as an elected position having been foisted on the Greek people by the EU in a Coup de Bureaucrat. The new Prime Minister of Italy, Mario Monti has never had to trouble himself with the the tawdry populism of campaigning. Not a single member of the new Italian Cabinet has been elected to the Italian parliament. Mandates? Who needs elections, to get the governments the people driving "the agenda" want, all they have to do is engineer a debt crisis.
Sure, it's a long game, ten years has elapsed since the Euro replaced the individual currencies of Europe's sovereign states, ten long years for the farce to progress to its inevitable conclusion, the ending predicted by anyone who had the slightest understanding of economics.
"The agenda" was never about economic stability of course, it was about the creation of a single European nation to be ruled not by an elected government but by an appointed elite .This is the age of technocrats, bureaucrats and academics not elected politicians. Silly, outmoded notions like one person, one vote have no place in this Brave New World. A committee of faceless pen pushers and bean counters holds all the votes.
But consider what kind of a government we might have if the bean counter of Brussels were to appoint our next government. The high and mid level offices would go to federalists. Blair, a committed one worlder and supporter of supranationalism in spite of his warmongering ways, might return as Prime Minister. Peter Mandelson, the collaborator - in chief as Foreign Secretary, Europhile Chris Patten as Home Secretary, Fred Goodwin, the discredited banker who steered Royal Bank of Scotland to bankruptcy, Chancellor of the Exchequer?
If you think what we are going through now is a nightmare, what lies in wait across the channel is worse.

The Great Conciliator Promises New , Bigger Wars For America
.
by Ed Butt
Barack Obama has pledged to expand America's military presence in the Asia Pacific region as a "top priority" as he declared the US intends to shift its focus from the Middle East. The US president said America was "all in" for the coming Asian century and the region was crucial to his country's economic recovery. He also made clear he will continue his Orwellian foreign policy initiative of endless war.
"As we end today's wars, I have directed my national security team to make our presence and missions in the Asia-Pacific a top priority," he said.
"Reductions in US defence spending will not I repeat, will not come at the expense of the Asia-Pacific project. Our enduring interests in the region demand our enduring presence in this region,"
In a 25-minute address to the Australian parliament described by the White House as an "anchor speech" for his 9-day visit across the region, Mr Obama said the US "is a Pacific power and we are here to stay."
Well that's an object lesson on how to piss off the Chinese. I'm not the only one to think so either. Speaking in the guarded language of international diplomacy, former Australian defence official, Professor Hugh White, from the Australian National University, said the deployment to Darwin was "not a wise move" and could heighten distrust between the US and its potential Asian rival.
"Everybody in Asia wants the US to stay engaged and nobody wants to live under Chinese hegemony," he told the British journalists, adding "But nobody wants the US-China relationship to become contested, because nobody wants to have to choose between the two, especially not Australia. We love US primacy if it is uncontested as we have enjoyed it for the past 40 years that is the era that is ending as China power grows."
Mr Obama said the US would seek to co-operate with China but would speak candidly about human rights and territorial disputes."
Amid growing political pressure over the nation's stalled growth and spiralling debt which has now topped $US15 trillion Mr Obama said Asia marked "the future" and was crucial to restoring America's ailing economy. So why is he so determined to piss off China, the regions other great power, India whose Prime Minister gets regular lectures from Obie on how India should be run not for the benefit of its own people but for the benefit of the Obama administration.
Is there anybody in the world who does not yet understand Obama is a total turd and a suppurating syphilis sore on the bell end of humanity? His paymasters, the New World Order promoting Bilderberg Group say dance and Obie starts capering around like a caricature negro in a 1930 comedy film. He will stop at nothing, no matter how damaging it is to western interests, in order to big himself up.

Youth Unemployment Highest Since 1986
by John de Roe
Youth unemployment increased to 1.02m between July and September as was widely predicted. This figure is the highest number of young people unemployed since 1986. There were 1.02m unemployed 16 to 24 year olds in the three months to September 2011, up 67,000 from the three months to June 2011.
The Government will inevitably come under increasing pressure to explain why 21.9pc of those aged under 25 are unable to find jobs.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said the figures were the highest since the current method of counting was introduced in 1992 but earlier data, calculated on a different criteria, showed youth unemployment last reached these levels in 1986. Put simply, the figures mean almost two fifths of those aged 16 to 17 are out of work, while a fifth of 18 to 24 year-olds are jobless. Even stripping out the number of young people in education but looking for a job, the youth jobless rate is still more than double that of other age groups, at 20.6pc.
In another set of catastrophic labour market figures, total unemployment increased by 129,000 over the period to reach 2.62m, or 8.3pc, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said today. This is the largest quarterly increase since the three months to July 2009 and marks a 17-year high in joblessness. Long-term unemployment, that is those out of work for a year or more, has jumped by 31,000 over three period to 868,000, while almost half a million people (422,000) have been unemployed for two years or more - a 29pc rise compared to a year ago.
The number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance last month increased by 5,300 to 1.6m, said the ONS - the eighth month in a row the claimant count has increased. However, this was a smaller increase than in previous months.
There was further evidence in the information published that the UK's North-South divide is worsening came when the largest decrease in employment was in the North East. The only notable increase in employment was in the South West, the statistics showed.
So what is going on? We have commented repeatedly in The Daily Stirrer on the follies of successive governments since 1980 in pursuing policies that rewarded corporate interests for killing jobs in the domestic economy, exporting work in traditional industries to low labour cost economies and making Britain too reliant on financial services and debt driven consumption, and the spineless way politicians have caved in to unelected cabals like the Politically Correct Though Police (a.KO.a civil rights hustlers) in allowing the collectivist left to hijack the education system, the institutions of government and the legal system.
In addition to burdening the wealth creators with this burden of bureaucracy we have also hamstrung employers with stupid European laws like the human rights act, the equalities bill and the employment act. Is it any wonder nobody is hiring?

Debt Crisis: UK Growth Forecast Slashed
by Ian Thorpe
16 November 2011
The Bank of England has slashed its forecast for growth in the UK economy in the light of new jobless figures and other economic indicators. The Bank warned that the absence of a credible solution to the eurozone debt crisis poses the biggest single risk to the economy.
Publishing its latest quarterly Inflation Report, the Bank cut its forecast for 2011 growth to about 1pc from its August forecast of about 1.7pc. It forecast growth of about 1pc for 2012, down from 2pc, and forecast 2.5pc growth in 2013, down from its earlier forecast of 3pc. What The Bank does not tell us is that while inflation is running head of growth we have a worse outcome than rampant inflation eroding savings and earnings, we have deflation in which the economy is contracting as prices fall simply because nobody is spending and thus profits from which wages, salaries and dividends are paid are stagnant if not actually being cut. This is just as The Daily Stirrer has predicted. We know what can be done to solve the problem too but the financial and political establishment will not do it because it would be an admission they had got everything absolutely wrong for the past thirty years or more.
Sir Mervyn King, the Banks Governor, said growth over the next few quarters was likely to be "markedly weaker" than the Bank had previously thought, as businesses postpone investment and households become more reluctant to spend. UK activity was likely to be "broadly flat" until the middle of next year, he said, but there was no way to quantify the effects of the "most extreme outcomes associated with developments in the euro area." If we were entirely dependent on the Eurozone as some of our leaders including committed New World Order supporters Cammers, Clegg and Miliband would like us to be, our future would indeed be bleak.
Fortunately we have the option to pull back from the Euronazi experiment, cosy up with our natural allies, Australia and Canada, strengthen ties with the Commonwealth and lead a move for a regrouping of EFTA, the old, not bureaucratic, non - New World Order free trade grouping. A European free trade zone is a great idea, a European single political nation incorporating all current EU members, the rest of the former Soviet Union basket case republics and stretching into the middle east and north Africa which is what the Portuguese Marxist EU President Barroso and the other unelected bureaucrats who run the European Union are talking about right now (and Cammers, Clegg and co are involved in those discussions) is the worst possible idea. The last European to consider such a notion was a little Austrian guy named Adolf Hitler.
So with public opinion in the UK overwhelmingly anti EU, will Cammers have the guts to tell the New World Order oligarchs to fuck the fucking fuck off or, more likely perhaps, will the Conservatives have the guts to dump Cameron and get a leader who as Prime Minister will make sure his first loyalty is to the people of Britain and not to the supranational elitists who want to rule the world but shun responsibility.

Britain To Become A Nation Of Renters?
by Xavier Connolly
Think back to the heyday of Maggie thatcher when government propaganda was pumping out the message that people who rented their homes were not simply second class citizens but actually lower in the scheme of things than plague carrying rats. If you were not buying your house you were not a human being, the thinking went. And people were buying anything that looked remotely house like. I remember one person who worked in the organisation I was with buying a "rural conversion property" thinking they would renovate and make a fortune.
The house had not been lived in for many years. Still no problem, get the builders in, get a decent roof on it, replaster, modern plumbing etc. Alas no, not only was the property a grade 2 listed building, its walls were wattle and daub, i.e. clay mixed with straw daubed over willow wattles or hurdles. And the willow was rotten which meant the daub tended to crumble as soon as it was touched.
No worries thought the aspiring property developer, there's plenty of land. We'll just leave the old place to quietly decay and go back to nature while we build a nice detached home on the adjoining land. Alas no planning permission was forthcoming. The council may have been ready to reconsider, they said, once the original property was renovated. But any attempt to renovate would result in the listed building falling down and the person responsible would face the wrath of not only the law but the jam and Jerusalem brigade.
I left that organisation before the story was resolved and never learned the outcome. The last I knew was the buyer was threatened with loss of their home as debts mounted. Such was the madness of the 1980s property bubble. The new millennium property boom is still imploding and may turn out to be worse. But at least one good thing has come of it. People who rent houses are no longer lower than plague carrying rats in fact renting is once more considered a sensible option for many people.
More than half (54pc) of Britons questioned in a poll commissioned by Grainger, one of the UK's largest private residential landlords, expect that in 15 years more people in the UK will be renting their homes than owning. Which is exactly where we were before Maggie started flogging off council houses at knockdown prices.
The breakdown shows around 30pc of homes are rented and and 70pc are in private ownership (this is always misleading, most are being bought on mortgages so the mortgage payers cannot be said to truly own their homes until the final payment is made). With social (council and housing association) renting expected to stay fairly stable at 16pc, the survey implies that private renters currently representing 17pc of the market will double by 2016, said a representative of Grainger.
There is a new housing reality dawning on Britain: the financial crisis has tightened mortgage lending; house prices continue to be uncertain; and, frankly there are simply too few homes for the demand, said Nick Jopling, the company's executive property director. More and more people are renting.
The survey found that 40pc of people now see renting as a first step on to the housing ladder. In addition, 92pc of young people polled (18 to 34-year-olds) said they saw renting as the only way they can move out from their parents homes.
The younger generation was also less likely to place they buying of a house on a twenty five year mortgage first among their priorities as they did 25 years ago. Grainger saw this as evidence that the "stigma" of renting is dissipating over the generations.

So How Is That Hopey Changey Green-weeny Thing Going Over The Pond?
When Barack Hussein Obama was elected to the Presidency the first thing he did after capering around singing "Oh Dem Golden Slippers," and "De Camptown Races" was to embark on a programme of stimulus spending which he said would kick start the American economy. He would do this, his aides promised by investing in "shovel ready projects" (i.e. hiring guys with ripped oiled bodies. dressing them in fetish harness and gimp masks and having them shovel money into a bottomless pit) and the green economy. This, as American's now know involved giving away lots of their hard earned to his old friends and the most generous campaign donors.
But were these always fit and proper people to receive government investment in the form of loan guarantees?
A company set up with $500 million of Obama's stimulus money to make and sell solar panels that would generate electricity from sunshine and feed it into the national grid declared itself bankrupt in September and in the wake of that a scandal is brewing with allegations of cronyism, corruption and financial irresponsibility flying round Washington and sticking like shit to anyone they come in contact with. The Solyndra scandal and the bankruptcy of other "green economy" ventures carries echoes of the dotcom boom in which businesses reliant on an unproven technology were set up with vast cash investments though they had no saleable product, no design, no realistic patents, no revenue stream and no business plan. In many cases these companies did not even have an idea, just an idea that if they could come up with an idea it would be cool to raise some investment funds and go into business.
Solyndra went bust having lost all of the tax payers hard earned by borrowing up to its credit limit and spending the money on researching luxury offices with en suite Jacuzzis, cocaine parties, expensive sports cars, expensive champagne and expensive women. Unfortunately the details of their downfall are sub judice.
Boggart Blog however managed to get a transcript of the inaugural meeting of another greenbubble startup, CaliforniaSunshine Corp.
Hey Jughead, dude, hows it going?
Cool.
Me and the guys, dude, we were just talking about getting in on this green energy thing and, like, getting some stimulus money.
Cool.
We thought solar panels was good, I mean how hard can it be? Sheet of glass, some of those little buttony things, wire and plastic frames. It's a cinch.
Cool
So we thought seeing you, dude, met the Prez one you could, like, call him up.
Cool.
(dip dippydip dip dipittydip dip dip dipidip ... ring-ring ring-ring ring-ring ... Hey yeah, it that The White House ... cool, is the Prez dude there ... a name? Barry ... yeah I guess that would be President Obama, tell im it's Jughead from L.A. ... cool.
They just gonna find him guys.
Hey, hi Prez dude, it's Jughead. The thing is Barry me and some of my buddies were talking 'bout setting up a green energy company and we were, like, wondering if you could help out with investment, what with you being into green stimulus and all. ... yeah, Jughead ... yeah you do know me ... sure you do, we met in a toilet in MacArthur Park, I get you snort a line of coke off my ... yeah, back in the closet now, OK, I unnastand. Anyway like I said, me and my buddies need some investment to get our solar panels factory up and running and my ol' buddy Barry was the first person I thought of ... Yeah, MacArthur Park ... yeah right off of it ... how much? Well how much you off'rin' ...Two hunnert and fifty million dollars, wow, cool, hey that's ..What? .... just a moment Barry, Mr. President, my budd ... partners need to speak to me.
"Never accept the first offer Jughead, first rule of dealing - and business; go for more, go for double,"
For fuck's sake guys, two hunnert and fifty million is more'n we'll ever make.
Yeah but if he offered two fifty mill for starters he's prepared to go higher. Go for double
Double, that's like ... er ...
"Half a billion Jughead, tell him it's going to take half a billion to get up and running.
Hi Mr. Prez Barry dude, yeah, our accountant says it will take half a billion, 500 million. You're our only hope of gettin' that kind of cash Barry, if you can't stretch to that I guess I'll have to write a book about my life or somp'n ... Yeah, the toilet in Macarthur Park ... yeah that was the date ... you will! Wow cool. all of it! Wow cool. Details? Yeah, I'll hand you to my buddy, he has a PayPal account.
Well, those of you who feel shocked and betrayed at the way the Obama Presidency has turned out don't get any sympathy from The Daily Stirrer. We did warn you of what would happen if you voted for him.

The Growth Versus Environment Dichotomy
by Ian Thorpe and John de Roe
The latest signs of a global economic slowdown (the Newspeak term for a slump) have emerged in news from the far east. Hong Kong's GDP figures showed a Q3 contraction. The economy grew 4.3pc in the third quarter, down from 5.1pc in the second quarter and 7.5pc in the first.
The HK government said exports dropped off sharply "amid an increasingly austere global economic environment."
In France the fact that Standard and Poor's reported cut in that nation's triple A credit rating was an error has made little difference in bond markets. France is being squeezed by traders worried that it's economy, already struggling to stay ahead of its own tsunami of debt, will be suck as French taxpayers are saddled with a mega share of the stratospheric debts of nations like Italy, Spain and Greece.
The yield on French ten-year bonds is just under 3.5pc - against nearer 7pc for Italy, 2.2pc for the UK and 1.8pc for Germany - leaving the widest gap between Germany and France for 20 years. And in 2012 the Republic will have to find 281bn euros to finance matured debt according to figures from economic analysts.
Bankers and investors however regard all this fuss about whether France keeps its AAA rating is largely academic. Most of them understand the French AAA is in reality already gone. France can hardly service it's own debt let alone take on anybody else's.
The Portugese neo - Stalinist President of the EU, José Manuel Barroso has been warning that a eurozone collapse will send the continent and the free world into a prolonged economic slump. The collapse of the Euro single currency would cause a crash that would instantly wipe out half of the value of Europes economy, plunging the continent into a depression as deep as that of the 1930s, the president of the European Commission has warned.
Mr Barroso said in Berlin this week that if the euro area of the 17 member states or the wider 27-country EU broke apart the estimated initial cost would be up to 50 per cent of European gross domestic product.
The result of such an economic shock would be emergence of extremism and divisions within Europe, the former Portuguese prime minister told his German audience.
Just as the founding fathers had a vision of Europe after two devastating world wars, we must also now act with resilience and with vision towards a Europe that is strong but open, he said. Now is Germanys time to show that it is fighting the cause of a strong, integrated and competitive Europe.
A eurozone crash, the commission has predicted, would see Ł10 trillion wiped off the value of the European economy, a catastrophe that would send living standards plummeting to the levels of Latin America.
Barroso is of course a committed supporter of the notion of a global government led not by elected representatives of the people but of bureaucratic appointees representing the wealthy, political and academic elites. This in effect is the scientific dictatorship that early twentieth century sci fi author H G Wells wrote of, President Eisenhower alluded to in his farewell speech and that Aldous Huxley predicted in his dystopian novel Brave New World.
Meanwhile across the pond, U.S Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Europe remains the central challenge to global growth and must move quickly to restore financial stability.
Geithner, who has been in Honolulu stuffing himself with gourmet food and swilling it down with rare wines while staying in a luxury hotel attending the 21-nation Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation conference, said in prepared remarks that the APEC countries are all directly affected by the Eurozone crisis and he encouraged them to take steps to strengthen growth in the face of these pressures from Europe.
Addressing a news conference he said:
"As the United States continues to work through the problems that caused our crisis and Europe confronts a period of slower growth, Asian economies will need to do more to stimulate domestic demand growth -- both so they are less vulnerable to slowdowns, such as the situation in Europe, and so they can continue to contribute to global growth.
These economies, including the United States, have the capacity to do things now to make growth stronger both to offset some of the pressures theyre facing in Europe but also because the world as a whole - even when Europe stabilizes you are going to see growth damaged by the magnitude of the crisis so far. So there is a very strong rationale in those economies that have the capacity to do it to act now to strengthen growth."
Now here we see a politician banging his head against the brick wall of the global dichotomy. Only last week, in response to news that carbon dioxide emissions had increased again the national administration Geithner is part of, Papa Bammy's Pandemonium Carnival the Obama Administration, were screaming about how we must reduce carbon emissions. Yet everything, every industrial process, every human activity has a carbon footprint. What the elite are asking for is to have their cake, gorge on it, throw it up and eat it again.
Growth or saving the planet, it's the elitists of big finance, politics and the academic world, the experts who presume to tell us how we must live our lives, who must make the choice about what we save. And yet these pusillanimous poltroons consistently try to shift blame for their failure to even foresee the consequences of their actions onto the public.

Berlusconi Admits Defeat But Will Italy Be The Loser?
by Ed Butt
Silvio (Don Vito) Berlusconi has often been given the benefit of the doubt by Italians having survived numerous sex scandals, allegations of corruption and having links with organised crime and worst perhaps, humiliating his country through appalling behaviour. We don't need to remind you (but we're going to because it's fun) that only a few weeks ago, as fellow European leaders tried to find a solution to Italy's debt problem, Berlusconi called the person he must have onside if Italy is to have any chance of recovery, German leader Angela Merkel, an "unfuckable lardarse."
Italy will be better off without such a leader you might well say, but will they? With Berlusconi stepping down and his ruling coalition in disarray and unable to agree an austerity program to control the debt, the likely winners in elections due to be held early next year are a coalition of socialists, comunists and greens. And their plan for reducing Italy's massive debt burden is to borrow the money they need from China and Germany.
Somehow we get the impression we have not seen or heard the last of Snr. Berlusconi.

High Speed Rail Links For Britain
The obnly news that attracted our attention today isThe House of Commons Transport Committee's backing of government plans to build new high-speed rail link from London via Birmingham to Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and Leeds. It can be anticipated the lines would be extended to Scotland and new lines to serve the eastern and western population centres added. .
The committee said there was a "good case" for HS2 which would feature 250mph, 1,100-passenger trains running from London to Birmingham and then on to the other cities. Some residents and councils bitterly oppose the Ł34 billion project which they say would carve through picturesque countryside. The Government is due to make a decision on the route before the end of this year.
We have two reservatons, first why are the steering group looking at using Mag Lev technology which would provide an even faster trip, second, what is the point of building new rail links when few people can afford to use the railways at peak times now? Air travel on internal fights does not save time, you may spend less time in the air but the haul from city centres tothe airports and them from Heathrow into London more than doubles journey times.
And as we are (or should be) aware, air travel enjoys a massive subsidy. While we poor punters pay cripping prices for fuel because of the 300% added to the basic cost by various taxes, aircraft fuel is exempted from tax.
Let's get real. Renationalise the railways, build Mag Lev links for passenger and light freight traffic and use the old, slower lines for heavy and bulk goods. It's called a transport policy.

Britain will be banished to "The Outer Limits" Of Europe If Plan To Save The Euro Goes Ahead.
The big issue broadcast news and the papers have picked up on today is the Deustschland Uber Alles aspect of the plan to save the Euro. The Daily Stirrer reported this yesterday but first warned on the German superstate that would result from bailout plans last month. Now some people might think we a just being anti - German. On the contrary, kudos to Hausfrau Merkel, she is doing what she believes to be best to protect the interests of her people.
If only our Europhile suck - up artist leaders had the courage to do the same we would all feel a lot more secure.
A document leaked to British media representatives shows that under changes already agreed to in the Lisbon Treaty (without any of the electorates of member nations being consulted of course because the neo - Nazi unelected bureaucrats of Brussels are no fans of democracy,) eurozone countries will have to vote as a caucus on changes to European policy and treaty arrangements. Thus the German led Euro zone will have a permanent in-built majority in the EU's main decision-making body, The Council of Ministers, from November 2014.
Britain will be unable to block a plethora of new laws even it if it joins together with other countries not in the eurozone - risking severe damage, in particular, to the City of London. EU neo Nazi leaders have already threatened to shaft Britain's finance industry with new laws and regulations that Britain will not be able to veto. Any sane person might think that alone would have Cameron and Co. backpeddaling from Europe like crazy but no, spineless Cammers is pushing a global government agenda while the pusillanimous pustule Clegg is still shilling for us to join the Euro so we can go bankrupt with all the other single currency basket cases.
The rule changes now proposed will virtually ensure that the EU becomes a "two speed" operation with Britain in convoy with Sweden and several former Soviet nations in the slow lane - even without the greater "fiscal integration" expected inside the eurozone as its 17 countries bring their tax and spending affairs closer together. Anyone remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? In the slow lane is sometimes a good place to be although not as good as out of this project to establish a global regime of oligarchic collectivism altogether.
It is the threat of "caucus" voting, according, which has sparked recent activity in the Foreign Office as officials look at ways of "repatriating" powers - particularly on employment and social affairs, from Brussels to Westminster. But why stop there, lets have a referendum asking the question "Do you think Britain should leave the EU, continued membership of which which will result in our country becoming a vassal state of the unelected bureaucrats of Brussels?
And the voting option? YES or YES.

EU Threatens UK Business Freedom: "We'll make UK Cut Bosses Bonuses" say Brussels Bureaucrats
We hear from people with contacts in the EU cesspits of power that the unelected bureaucrats who control the European Commission are considering tough new proposals to curb the pay and bonuses that banks can hand out to staff working across the European Union. The plans, which are likely to go further than anything proposed so far in the UK towards curbing the pay of financial traders and business executives would meet significant opposition from the City of London, which claims that cutting benefit packages would result in an exodus of talent to Asia and America.
As things stand however the new restrictions could not be blocked by the Government if a majority of other European countries vote in favour of them. This is why we must veto Germany's proposal that in return for the German economic powerhouse bailing out the basket case nations of southern Europe, the Eurozone must vote as a bloc on all EU policies. In other words the small nations must do what Germany tells them. Is that a rousing chorus of Deutschland, Deutschland Uber Alles we hear in the distance?
The proposal drafted by Michel Barnier, the EU Commissioner in charge of shafting Britain up the arse financial services, emerged as G20 leaders meeting in lounged around in luxury hotels stuffing themselves with the most expensive and exclusive foods, getting drunk on the most expensive wines and availing themselves of the most expensive prostitutes (or rent boys in Obama's case) while failing to produce concrete plans to tackle the eurozone's sovereign debt crisis.
Speaking in London, Mr Barnier described the situation facing Europe as "grave". In a move which will delight protesters outside St Paul's but if implemented would destroy the only area of commercial activity that earns foreign currency for Britain, he suggested it was necessary to do more to ensure bankers contributed "in a just way" to the fiscal retrenchment.
No mention of freeloading politicians and gravy train riding bureaucrats contributing to fiscal retrenchment by fucking off then. Bankers are cunts but bureaucrats and politicians are bigger cunts. It currently costs Britain Ł40 million a day to keep in caviare and Chateau Petrus an army of slime merchants who only marketable talent is their willingness to suck up to the rich and powerful.
"After a couple of years of calming down, [banks] have gone back to pre-crisis levels of distributing pay and bonuses which are just not justified," Barnier said, warning that, if they persisted, new regulations would be imposed. "I can't give you all the details now of what the next steps will be [but] we will be preparing the next framework so we can limit bonuses and pay further," he said.
Elsewhere Nicolas Sarkozy was reiterating calls for a Europe-wide financial transactions tax to be brought in by next year despite opposition from Britain. "It's not about penalising the banking sector," he added. "It's about asking that everyone play their role and make an effort to preserve the money available to finance the real economy."
Funny he did not mention the even greater increase in politicians and bureaucrats expenses as they fly off for another conference in an exclusive resort every couple of weeks. It's true bankers create nothing except false profits. Politicians and their lackeys don't even to that, they just massage each other's egos and steal taxpayers money to fund pointless vanity projects and secure them a "place in history."
When Mr Barnier was named EU Commissioner for the internal market and services in 2010, there was widespread suspicion in London that the French would use him to push restrictive regulation on the UK's financial centre. So if you were not already convinced that you should vote for UKIP as the only political party openly committed to getting us out of this neo Nazi superstate that is growing like a cancer in Europe, you should be now. British shareholders should deal with bosses who reward themselves for mediocrity and British voters should deal with politicians who fail to deal with businesses that are taking the piss.

Jobs Crisis Gets Worse For British Youth
The unemployment problem throughout society but particularly among the young has been discussed many times in The Daily Stirrer. In articles like
The Jobless Economy we have pointed to reasons why employment has collapsed, ranging from 50 years of naive politicians and poodle-like academics framing policies to support the drive by big money to supplant human workers with machines and to export low skilled jobs to the low labour cost economies of the developing world.
Earlier in the week we learned from the latest British employment figures and yesterdays we saw repeated in statistics from the United States government that the traditional industrial areas have the highest numbers of "disengaged youth" compared to any other environments. In some conurbations where traditional industries have been hard hit by offshoring the so called NEETs (Not In Education, Employment Or Training) number as many as one in four of the population aged between 16 and 24. Governments are coming under increasing pressure from local and regional authorities to take urgent action to help this so-called lost generation or risk a "crisis" in Britain's communities, with a surge of anger and social unrest similar to this summer's riots which took the nation by storm, according to experts.
AUK - wide study out today highlights the stark and growing North-South divide between jobs and opportunities for young people. The problem is not confined to the north however. Some of the worst affected areas are around London and in other large cities in the midlands and south. With the recession exacerbating the problem can anything be done other than repeat the costly and pointless exercises of the past, paying young people to stay in full timed education or the notorious Youth Training Schemes in which the government paid employers to take on "trainees" who received little training because there was no real job for them and were jettisoned at the end of their six months contract so new trainees could be brought in. As the largest proportion of Neets are found in those cities which already have high levels, the report by the Work Foundation and the Private Equity Foundation warns of manufacturing pseudo-jobs for the purpose of massaging the statistics.
Shaks Ghosh, chief executive of the Private Equity Foundation, said: "This report has highlighted the great disparity in opportunities for young people across Great Britain. The fact that nearly a quarter of 16 to 24 year olds are disengaged from education or employment in certain cities is not only shocking but very sad. Children from deprived areas urgently need the right support to continue in school, go to college or to get a job. To neglect these Neets risks a crisis in too many of our communities.
A report by the National Centre for Social Research, commissioned by the Cabinet Office, on Wednesday highlighted "poverty and materialism" as one of the causes of the riots which swept across Britain in August. Focusing on the motivations of young people in five riot-affected areas, and two areas which did not riot, the report said: "Young people talked about the difficulty of managing on the money they received when out of work or in training. The same materialistic culture was cited as having contributed to looting by young people and older community members alike. Participants from unaffected areas in the north and Scotland suggested that the starker contrast between rich and poor in London and other cities might mean the disparity between young peoples material desires and what they could afford gave rise to greater dissatisfaction."

America Ignores Long Term Jobless At It's Peril
Job crisis gets worse for British Youth
After 99 weeks as officially unemployed Amertican jobsekers are dropped off the register and classed as no blonger seeking work. This happens in Britain too, after 104 weeks. So remember when politicians point to improvements they are forgetting this invisible army of jobless people.
In some major British cities, Manchester, Nottingham and Newcastle among them, in many households there is nobody resident who has ever had a job. What hope is there for this underclass.

British Economy Economic Growth Of Half A Percent In Third Quarter Of 2011
The Government, bankers who want you to start borrowing and spending and mainsteam media (which is controlled by sponsors of the New World Order) will try to tell you this is good. Do not believe the crooks and liars. With inflaation running at five per cent (according to official figures, in reality nearer eight per cent) this level of growth is not growth at all, it is contraction. Inflation is still eroding the value of your savings, investments and earnings.
... and following from yesterday's report about the people of Europe being at war with the EU political establishment, we have news fron The Daily Telegraph of the latest strtie in that conflict. A Greek referendum on the austerity measures demanded by the European Central Bank in return for financial help is likely to result in a "No vote". Population Growth Portends Disaster
The earth's total population passed six billion just 12 years ago and will continue to exponentially, reaching nine billion by 2050 it is estimated that's would make a 200% increase in a single lifetime as at the end of World War 2 population stood as less than three billion.
Pessimists, from Thomas Malthus onwards, have consistently warned that the world cannot sustain any more people. The challenges presented by such rapidly growing demands on the planet's water, energy resources and farmland are enormous. So far human ingenuity has succeeded in not just providing for a rising population but massively increasing the living standards of most people. At what price? you might well ask looking around the insane, stressed out populations of the developed nations. Our humanity maybe. Is population growth about to force us us to manage our societies as ant colonies or beehives, a nightmarish dystopian world in which individualism is proscribed; something reminiscent of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World?
It may soon be the case that advances in technology and social engineering can no longer keep human civilizations ahead of the tsunami. The greatest paradox of population growth perhaps is that the more able people are to sustain large families, because they become wealthier, the less inclined they are to actually have more children. So, while greater affluence is often blamed for increasing the strains on the world's finite resources, it is possible that a richer world may be a more sustainable one because it will bring about a natural levelling off in population growth.
The natural solution of self regulation is still a long way off however, in the short term the number of people will continue to rise and will rise far more quickly in poor nations that in the wealthy ones. This has a number of implications for our leaders. Three of the more important are related to food, urbanisation and growth in consumption.
It is estimated that food production will need to rise by 50pc by 2030. This is only partly to more mouths needing to be fed, but it is also a consequence of those mouths' changing appetites. As people grow wealthier their diets change and they consume more protein such as meat and dairy products.
With 7kg of grain required to produce just 1kg of meat, this puts an increasing strain on existing agricultural acreage. The solution cannot simply be to bring more land into cultivation because most of productive land is already under cultivation been while industrialisation and urbanisation are nibbling into what is not already under the plough and governments' ill advised commitments to "sustainable" biolfuels is claiming another tranche. Also we are finding increased competition from food producers over land set aside for recreational purposes. In an increasingly stressy envioronment the importance of recreational space must not be under estimated.
The second consequence of the current rate of population growth has been a rapid increase in the proportion of urban population. In 1950, around one third of the world's people lived in towns and cities but by 2025 it is forecast that 60pc will live in urban areas. The biggest implication of this growth is for infrastructure spending and the raw materials that make that kind of development possible. One recent estimate by the OECD suggested that 3.5pc of the world's economic output needs to be channelled each year into building, or rebuilding, electricity, road, rail, water and telecoms networks. And who pays to fed the third world's poor and to build the megacities in which the urban middle class will live Blade Runner type existences? We the taxpayers of course. The problem is, if week keep sustaining population growth instead of letting nature take it's course, governments will need to take more from us in tax that any of us actually earns.
Don't be fooled by the wailing and gnashing of teeth coming from the "progressive" wing of politics. Taxing "The Rich" would achieve little. Most of the fabled wealth of people like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Carlos Slim, Larry Elliot, Lakshmi Mittal, The Saudi Royal Family, Roman Abramovitch and the rest is notional, it is measured not in piles of dollar bills or gold bars sitting in a vault but is the estimated value of assets they hold.
There are no easy solutions.

When The Weather Gets Cold ... Occupy The Stock Exchange campaigners get indoors
by Xavier Connolly
We have heard a lot of the protests against the banking and finance industry going on around the developed world. Occupy Wall Street is the best know and has received most media coverage. Shots of yuppie media professionals wearing tastefully ripped Ł500 designer jeans and waving their $1000 iPad Pros with 3G as they protested against poverty. Occupy the London Stock Exchange is quite frankly disappointing from a nation that spawned so much great literature but whle Occupy Threadneedle Street has quite a poetic ring, the street name is not so widely recognised.
One cannot expect too much by \way of creatvity and originality from public sector workers and trustafarians who work in "the arts" one supposes but we should be able to hope for a litle understanding of the nature of their cause. It turns out that the protesters are not as determined as they would have us believe. Having set up their canvas village in the churchyard of St. Paul's Cathedral and forced that great tourist attraction to close for the first time since World War 2, these affluent anti - poverrty campaigners are effing off to their warm, cosy houses or apartments as the late October nights get colder. Thermal imaging cameras have shown most of the tents are empty overnight.
Now nobody would blame the protesters for preferring a night in a nice warm bed after a hot meal prepared for them by their Dear Old Mum to a night sleeping on cold paving slabs. But leaving aside the questions raise by the fact that authorities are leaving these unattended packages standing overnight in a city where terrorist induced paranoia has meant for decades an perfectly innocent bacxkpack, sleeping bag or platic carrier from Harroids or Marks and Spencer will be whiked away by the anti terror squad and blown up by a controlled explosion within minutes, we must ask haw much credibility these protests have?

Shakespeare Fantasists Show Once More University Education Leads To Insanity
by Ian Thorpe
Shakespeare, Keats and Dickens have in common, apart from being great writers and masters of the English language the fact that none went to university. That's right, in fact include in the group with Milton, Hardy, Tennyson, Thackeray, Coleridge and a bunch of others there was not a single degree in journalism or creative writing among them. The main three however were to some extent self-educated. Ben Jonson said that Shakespeare had small Latin and less Greek, and likewise Dickens and Keats, despite the latters "Ode to a Grecian Urn", is not supposed to have had much of either.
Nobody supposes however that Keats and Dickens did not themselves write the works attributed to them. Has anyone ever suggested Keats wonderful Ode To Autumn was not his own work? Nobody would propose that Dickens wasnt the author of Bleak House or Oliver Twist So why have we for many decades now had a string of academics and intellectuals making completely spurious cases that purport to prove William Shakespeare, the wool merchant's son from Stratford - on - Avon was not the author of Hamlet, Macbeth or Midsummer Night's Dream.
A new movie entitled Anonymous, directed by Roland Emmerich crediting the authorship the authorship of the plays and sonnets to Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford is the latest attempt by the Shakespeare deniers to part the gullible from their money. It's a quite shameless and brazen attempt at robbery of course, a mugging in broad daylight. De Vere died in 1604, at which time Shakespeares last and many would say best plays were still unwritten. (Was Shakespeare a fraud - debate)
We have a conspiracy theory here but note the lack of an outcry from those liberal intellectuals who are usually quick to point accusing fingers and shout "conspiracy theory" at the merest hint that something untoward is going on. Why? Well the conspiracy deniers, the Shakespeare deniers here are liberal intellectuals that's why. Except that while they may well be intellectual, the liberalism of these literature academics is very questionable. They are certainly elitist, often give the impression they support authoritarianism and in spite of protestations that their politics are left wing and socialist they despise the lower orders.
There is no contemporary evidence that anybody at the time attributed the authorship to anyone but William Shakespeare of Stratford. His peers acknowledged him as the sublime talent that we still recognise today. Evidently they were all fooled or were part of a great conspiracy, even Ben Jonson, a fellow playwright who knew William Shakespeare personally was taken in, he declared his envy of the bard's talent.
Snobbery is the sole animator of this idiocy. The upstart" Shakespeare, an actor and theatre manager, who attended neither Oxford nor Cambridge, and "presumed he could write" could not could he? have had all the knowledge of Greece, Rome, medieval Italy and classical as well as British myth displayed in the plays. Snobbery is an academic trait clearly visible in other areas too, look at the assumptions of superiority evident in theoretical physicists about the work of engineers or designers. Look at the way sociology or politics professors are happy to consider eugenics, historically a policy of the left, so long as it is referred to euphemistically while falsely describing conservative's calls for immigration controls as demands for population control.
The argument does not stand up to scrutiny. The knowledge displayed isnt that great. Almost all the information used in the Roman plays is gleaned from Norths translation of Plutarchs Lives, and the author of the plays is vague about Italian geography. In the histories and the tragedies, Shakespeare, deploys the technique of a Hollywood hack, reworking others material, improving on it but reworking.
The point Shakespeare deniers all miss is that all writers, playwrights, novelists, poets, writers of non fiction are magpies, hoarders. They see or hear things that attract their attention, pick them up and stash them away in memory to be put to use later, often letting a simple phrase or observation suggest a depth of knowledge they dont actually possess.
The trouble with the Shakespeare authorship fantasists is not that they know very little about the Elizabethan and Jacobean society and theatre but that as people who have spent their lives in faculties studying literature rather than doing as real writers do, going out and living life, experiencing things and filling that experience out with book learning, they know nothing about how poems, plays or modern novels get written.

So Why Can't We Have An EU Referendum
by Ed Butt
David Cameron will face down a threatened rebellion in the ranks of the Conservative Party without much difficulty today. It is relatively early in this Parliament and ambitious back benchers will be more concerned about being passed over for promotion if they go "off message" than they are yet about losing their seats. In refusing to allow MPs a free vote on the Referendum motion however all three leaders of the main parties, Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats have shown themselves to be traitors and unfit for office.
The problem is of course that power is a far more addictive drug than any available on street corners and crack houses in our inner cities. And once politicians achieve a level of influence that makes them intertesting to the real big boys of world politics, those faceless, fascistic manipulators of the Bilderberg Group, these small, weak men (they are in politics only because they could not hack it in business or the professions remember) are quickly seduced by power and will do anything to get their fix.
Thus, no matter where they position themselves or what promises they might make when campaigning, once in or even close to government they will always succumb to the seductive attraction of power that reaches across national boundaries.
And the voice of "We, the voters" is easily drowned by the screaming siren song of money and power. The voice and opinion of the voters is what the faceless power brokers fear most of course and therefore it is what the political lapdogs like Cameron Clegg and Miliband, Merkel, Sarkozy and Obama are employed to protect their puppetmasters from.

Euro Rats Of Brussels Plan National Socuialist Republic of Europe
by Ed Butt
The Daily Stirrer has learned that the unelected bureaucrats who run the European Union are preparing plans for a single European Treasury to oversee tax and spending across the 17 eurozone nations.
The proposals, presented by Eurofuhrer Herman Van Rompuy - Pumpy, the European Council president, would be the clearest indication yet that these pen pushing, paper shuffling bean counters will not be satisfied until they have created a new United States of Europe with Britain left on the sidelines (which is a good thing). Though they may be pusillanimous poltroons out in the real world, so long as they can hide behind their desks in their secure compounds and blame elected parliaments for their assaults on personal freedom and national sovereignty these arseholes are prepared to be such ruthless tyrants as they drive towards their goal they make the recently deceased Muammar Gadaffi look like Hello Kitty.
The plan for the new supra national bureaucratic dictatorship comes as European governments desperately trying to save the euro from collapse last night faced a new bombshell, with sources at the International Monetary Fund saying it would not pay for a second Greek bailout. It was also disclosed last night that British businesses are turning their back on Brussels regulations which have already strangled a nascent recovery at birth by forcing into national law such ridiculous "human rights" regulations it has now become almost impossible to sack or discipline an employee or even require them to do the job they are paid for and to give temporary and seasonal workers full employment rights. Supermarket chain Tesco have led this business rebellion as they prepare to hire thousands of extra staff for the Christmas season.
Meanwhile, David Cameron is hoping to head off a rebellion by Tory MPs when the\ British Parliament votes on Monday about staging a referendum on Britains membership of the EU.
Ministers expect 60 or 70 Conservative MPs to defy the partys high command and support the call for a referendum, while some rebels claim the final toll could be up to 100 about a third of the parliamentary party. Unfortunately the Lib Dems are these days solidy behind the New World Order global government brigade of Oligarchic Collectivists while the cowardly leaders of Labour will not seize the day and split the coalition because it will anger the Trotskyites who lead Trade Unions and thus hold Labour's purse strings.

Apple Demigod Steve Jobs Neo Nazi Control Freak Tendencies Exposed?
Readers of The Daily Stirrer will know we are no fans of Apple's overprice technology and the agressive quasi - evangelical marketing that created a massianic cult around the firm's unremarkable and unoriginal gadgets and it's acidhead founder Steve Jobs. (and yes, we did attack Jobs when he was alive to an extent we hoped wou;ld provoke him to sue. Naturally The Daily Stirrer, though we have only a few thousand readers a day and little money, knew we could destroy Jobs in court) Learn in the item linked below how Jobs built his empire on crushing the comepetition and in the comment thread of how there was no gadget launched by the "great innovators" of Apple that thery did not rip off from other, less creepy and fascistic corporations.
Steve Jobs vowed to destroy the Android mobile operating system, created by Google to rival Apple's iOS, viewing it as grand theft, according to his official biographer ... Read more
Now it might have been fun to see Apple and Google going head to head in a mega law suit over Google stealing ideas Apple claimed it owned even though they were in turn ripped off by Apple from open source software (i.e. written by volunteers for the benefit of the world wide user community) Also it might have diverted the attention of these pernicious world domination freak corporations long enough for the initiative to be taken back by for more\ technically competent developers whose commercial ambitions were less control freaky and fascistic.
As the Daily Stirrer once again smugly says "We told you so," it is to be hoped that those who are suppoed to be be our leaders will start to understand to what extent many of the industries and technologies they hope will save the global economy are based on agreesive and hyperbolic marketing and do not offer ways to improve the quality of our lives or make more efficient the ways we do business but only an empty promise that by owning certain gadgets and signing up to support certain causes we can buy self esteem.

Gadaffi and Libya
We are going to skip over news of the fall of Sirte and the capture and possible (at the moment) death of Colonel Gadaffi. We have said before that replacement of Gadaffi's regime with an Islamist rabble may not be a good thing for Europe and the west and the role played by Britain and France and from behind the scence by the USA has not made relations with Rusia and China any easier.
We should all wait and see what happens next before heaping plaudits of our leaders. Deposing a tyrant is one thing. Replacing the regime with something better is another.

Germany's Plan For The Euro? Forward To The Past.
by John de Roe
Defeat for France, Spain, Italy, and the Greco-Latin sphere and another step towards the establishment of a single German superstate stretching from Cape St. Vincent to the Caucasus. The initial impression from the leaked draft of an EU summit agreement is that the latest, largely German plan for saving the European Single Currency System is aimed at tightening Germany's economic hold on Europe while committing Frau Merkel's government to little additional aid for the basket case nations.
Small wonder Nicolas Sarkozys left Carla Bruni to labour alone and dashed to Frankfurt to meet the other two women in his life, Hausfrau Merkel and IMF chief Christine Lagarde, as well as the European Central Banks top bureaucrats
The text may well be very different by Sunday but at the moment it proposes:
1) There will be no change to the mandate or role of the ECB. The doctrine of "Price Stability" is upheld. (That is not the historic role of central banks, by the way. They were created in the 17th century to be lenders of last resort, as was the Fed before World War One. The idea that their chief task is to manipulate a single variable the price level is both new and misguided.)
There is no hint that the full firepower of the ECB will be harnessed to solve this crisis, as demanded by France, the US Treasury, the IMF, and much of the City. In my view this refusal to deploy the ECB is a colossal error, and will doom the summit outcome to failure.
2) There will be no move to fiscal union in the way we all understand it: no eurobonds, fiscal pooling, no big transfers. Zilch, as expected.
The so-called "Six Pack" of proposals for closer EU economic government relate to the policing of budgets, and such like. They are a means of imposing austerity, not sharing debts. This is what Germany means by "Fiskalunion". It is a loss of sovereignty for one purpose only.
The deflationary bias of the EMU system remains in place.
3) The permanent bail-out fund (ESM) will be brought forward from June 2013, but there is no date. The purpose of this trick is to allow the existing 440bn EFSF and ESM to operate at the same time, giving the rescue machinery greater fire power. OK, but rating agencies might notice. So will investors. Surely double-edged?
4) 5) 6) are kicked into touch until finance ministers gather on Friday. These cover the leverage of the EFSF, the scale of haircut for Greek bondholders, and the scale of bank recapitalization ( apparently now just 80bn, which is not going to do the trick).
While the document refers to "unequivocal commitment" that "Austrian haircuts" will be restricted to Greece. If you believe that. In the next paragraph to that was a promise that pigs will soon be flying over Brussels.

Kurdish Rebels Kill 24 Turkish Soldiers
by Ed Butt
Kurdish rebels have killed 24 Turkish soldiers and injured 18 in a series of attacks in southeast Turkey. The Turkish government responded with air attacks on Kurdish rebel bases in northern Iraq.
The attacks by the Peoples Front of Judea Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militia on Turkish troops occurred in several locations in Cukurca and Yuksekova in Hakkari province near the Iraqi border, during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, news agency reports from Turkish capital Ankara said.
The toll is the heaviest since 1993, when the PFJPKK killed 33 unarmed soldiers in Bingol province, in southeast Turkey.
Television reports said the army had initiated an air-supported operation against the rebels in response and the head of the general staff and some commanders had gone to the region.
A few hundred Turkish soldiers crossed into northern Iraq to hunt down PKK rebels who killed 24 soldiers, Kurdish news agency Firatnews said. So far there are no reports of an Iranian response to the Turkish incursion.
The death toll from the skirmishes might rise as some injured soldiers have sustained life-threatening wounds, NTV said.
Why is The Daily Stirrer reporting this? you might well ask, after all we state our mission is to report the issues that are likely to affect the lives of people in Britain and it's closes allies. Exactly, but this story fits the bill. Shiny Face Cameron, that jug eared streak of [pisds Obama and other western leaders are desperately keen to admit Turkey and other tribalistic middle eastern shitholes into the EU. So you might in future have the privilege of coghing up higher taxes to support these no makrs because they are far too busyt with their ancient tribal squabbles to GET SOME WORK DONE.

Up Yours Delors redux:
Up Yours Delors was a famous tabloid headline on the occasion that then EU President Jaques Delors, an ardent supporter of the single currency, single European superstate and single global government tried to shoehorn the member states of the European Community into a fiscally and politically integrated unit whith hormonisation of laws, financial and taxation policy and a common foreign policy.
Fortunately the government of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher dug in its heels and refused to commit Britain to the more neo - Nazi measures the faction led by Delors was supporting.
Bureaucrats never give up on their world domination ambitions however and now Jaques Delors is at it He writes:
Unless the sovereign debt crisis is addressed at its root, it is going to threaten the eurozone, which was conceived for stability in the midst of global disorder. Whatever the decisions in favour of banks' recapitalisation may be, it is essential for the EU and the economic and monetary union to have more constraining rules as well as more financial means to consolidate the European and international role of the euro.
In this perspective, the often mentioned creation of "eurobonds" would play a crucial role in the short term and would permanently strengthen the eurozone's overall architecture. But to make progress, we need to accurately identify the challenges facing the eurozone and the 27-strong EU, mobilising two different kinds of bonds serving two different purposes.
The bureaucratic dictators are clearly still pushing for a solution that would saddle German, French, Dutch, Austrian and British taxpayers with underwriting the debts of southern Europe's economic basket cases and the failed stated of the former Soviet block that were allowed into the comunity in a fit of oneworlderism and politically correct insanity.
Clearly the uncompromisingly elitist Delors and his Ivory Tower dwelling cronies have not heard the message being shouted out out loud and clear from the suburbs and streets of Europe's more prosperopus nations. "Fuck the fucking fuck off you morons. You don't put out a fire by throwing oil on it and you don't solve a debt crisis by borrowing more money (a bond is a posh way of saying a loan). And anyway, with the Chinese economy stalling, who is going to be lending?

Google Update Shafts The Little Guy And Turns The Web Into A Giant Shoppinhg Mall
by Xavier Connolly
Our webmaster Ian usually deals with topics like this but these past couple of days he has been tearing his hair out about our traffic. Suddenly and for no reason trafic to this site dropped from around 5,000 a day to just above the 1000 mark.
Turns out a lot of webmasters are complaining after Google completed their second major update of the year (not counting the one that failed totally in August. Here are some of the things Ian has been learning from other webmasters.
Topic: from Web Pro News
Oct. 14, 2011 - mid day - major loss of traffic from
COMMENTS
by miedmark:
Oct. 14, 2011 - mid day, notice huge drop in traffic, a visitor here and there from google maybe every 2 or 3 minutes. Site is over 8 years old, no major changes have been done. Survived many Panda updates/tweeks prior to today, not sure what happened or how to go about fixing it. Any suggestions are welcome.
by GinaNYC:
Did you lose organic ranking for some major keywords? If so, what keywords? I see your site and there doesn't appear to be anything strange however there have been several webmasters who are complaining that there is something going on with sites being penalized and dropped from the rankings. Check your major keywords and see if your site has dropped in the rankings. Post here so everyone can help you figure out what is happening.
by Weblinkz:
Bear in mind that on Oct 14 there was a very big update from Google that hit many, many sites. Many GOOD or OK sites ended up as collateral damage, as is usually the case whenever Google comes out with these mega updates of theirs.
Sites that were trying to get links got hit, and sites that never had any link building were also hit. So it's very hard to understand what went on.
It's like Google suddenly declared war on the small guys. I notice many sites that used to be in the top positions (but belonging to relatively smaller guys) take a dive, whereas BIG brands like Amazon (and many others) got an even bigger boost. And then, there are still many spammy sites in the top 10.
by Webado:
You site has a canonical issue: www and non-www urls both respond the same way. You shoudl 301 redirect the non-www version of your urls to their www counterparts.
Additionally I see Adsense above the fold which is often a negative signal of site quality. Move the ads to a less prominent location, like far right or towards the bottom.
Ensure that any advertising links are properly insulated against passing pagerank: opened in javascript or using rel="nofollow".
by Christinestuff:
Why would there be a recommendation to move adsense ads away from "above the fold" when the adsense team recommends putting ads there. These seems like an odd suggestion but, worth a try, I guess
by Webado:
Well Adsense may recommend putting them there or elsewhere for purposes of highest visibility, however too much visibility suggests the site's main purpose is to publish ads rather than publish its own content. Google takes a dim view of this as the site's main purpose.
You have to strike a balance. Adsense any any other types of ads should always be secondary to actual content, never the other way around
by thefundu:
I too doubt that some update on Google has caused the sudden drop in traffic. Whatever has happened is not the right and is going to affect many guys household as many of them are solely dependent on it. Working for so many years to get a ranking and then seeing it all wasted is ridiculous. No TRUST on Google now
by frogkernow:
Google made a "minor" update on the night of the 13th. The effect, however, was not minor. Several Quality sites dropped out of the top 10, 20, and even 30. Those that benefited were sites such as amazon, youtube, aol.
More Comments I have cherrypicked comments that illusdtrate the point Ian has made many times, that Google manipulate search results to the benefit of their business by favouring sites that bring them the most revenue. The full discusioon and more on this theme can be found by following the link but the decisions get very technical and are not of much interest to the casual reader.
While webheads, scienceheads and Apple cultists may rave about the web and chant their delusional mantra that internet technology puts all the information in the world at everybody's fingertips, once again the reality is clearly demonstrated. The internet blocks our access to information, kills jobs and inhibits independent thought. We have argued many times that the web, far from oprning up information makes it ridiculously easy to control what information people can see.
The power now ceded by "democratically elected" governments to a few over - powerful technology corporations is highly unhealthy for humankind and totally illiberal and undemocratic.
.
The "Occupy Wall Street" idiots in New York and the people in bthe UK calling for a similar campaign against London's financial centre should wake the fucking fuck up and see where the treal danger to civilized society is coming from.

Warmonger Obama Engages US Troops To Uganda To Intervene In Another Regional Conflict
.by Profanicus Maximus
15 October, 2011
Late on Friday afternoon, the timing perhaps very significant, President (of the Entire Universe and Everything Else Besides) Barack Hussein Obama announced he was sending 100 American combat troops to central Africa to advise forces aiming to hunt down leaders of the Ugandan quasi religious terrorist organisation The Lord's Resistance Army, which stands accused of gross human rights abuses extending back over two decades.
In a letter to Congress, Sidi Obama said: "These forces will act as advisers to partner forces that have the goal of removing from the battlefield Joseph Kony and other senior leadership of the LRA."
In a ham fisted attempt to block criticism from within his bankrupt and war-weary country (based on his track record in office one might easily belive Obama is a village tyrant running a African basket case nation), Mr Obama stressed that the American troops would not act independently and would only fire on LRA forces "in self-defence".
"Although the US forces are combat-equipped, they will only be providing information, advice, and assistance to partner nation forces," the president said. Anyone who believes that must also believe in Father Christmas.
The Friday afternoon timing of the announcement was seen by opponents as an attempt by the White House to avoid a public debate about sending US ground forces into Africa for the first time since the "Black Hawk Down" incident in Somalia in 1993, when 18 US military personnel died in a botched attempt to capture a warlord. American voters are sick of the loss of life, gross waste of money and trashing of America's reputation in the world that have been the only results of a decade of military adventurism. Even Obama's war by proxy in Libya, carried on by the British and French on behalf of The White House has resulted in a humanitarian crisis and power vacuum in that nation. While fighting continues in Sirte and Bani Walid, still held by Gadaffi supporters and the remote and sparsely populated south of the nation is under the control of warlords loyal to Gadaffi we are already hearing reports that Gadaffi supporters are regrouping in Tripoli with the aim of staging a counter rebellion.
If the war crazy Obama had not urged a campaign for regime change that has resulted in, according to conservative estimates, 100,000 Libyan dead (a huge loss of life in a country of only 5,000,000) Gadaffi's thugs would have quickly put down local unrest in Bengazi with the loss of maybe a hundred lives. What the democracy hating Obama did not understand was that Gadaffi, tyrant, suppressor of dissident that he was, was loved by the majority of his people even though he bought that loyalty with a generous benefits system.
Whether loyalty is inspired by charisma or bought with oil revenues however, it is not an effective weapon against the high tech military aircraft of the UK and Fiance and therefore support for the rebels was not the humanitarian aid the UN resolution stipulated but a campaign of regime change. As such it has pissed off the Russians and Chinese mightily
But what of the latest venture in Africa. What promises to be a dangerous and sensitive mission has immediately prompted doubts in Washington about the sanity of Obama's foreign policy.
Senator John McCain, the ranking Republican on the Senate armed services committee, told CNN: "The LRA is one of the most atrocious and barbaric organisations in history. I applaud the goal, but I would like to know more about where it will end. We have sent peacekeepers into places before and it has ended in tragedy. You don't want to get into something you can't get out of."
Only two weeks ago The Daily Stirrer reported on Sudan's forgotten war and asked how long it would be before Obie was sending US military personnel to help those local conflicts escalate into a regional war involving Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, Ethopia and Uganda. Obama however is so stupid, vain and detached from reality it's possible he might think such a war was a good result.

iPhone Hysteria Strikes Again
The iPhone 4s went on sale around the world to great rejoicing from worshippers of Thre Byted Fruit. Devotees of Apple technology cult queued all night outside Apple stores, killing fatted calves, sang hymns and chanted prayers, and did everything associated with ancient religions except the ritual defloriation of virgins (well these are neerds you know.)
Sadly the worshippers wete disappointed. The heavens did not open to reveal a golden staircase ascending to the light, nor did Almighty Jobs send personal text messages to his disciples.
In the Temples Of Mammon sccountants and cashiers raised their arms to the skies and roared Ker - CHING as the great and gullible threw their gold cards towards the hungry mouths of the Chip and Pin Cherubim. (Sorry, did you think Cherubim were those cutesy pie little fat babies on cheap Christamas Cards. Think again. They're flesh eaters.)
It's a moblie phone for fuck's sake. An overpriced one at that. A lot of people out there need to do some growing up. Quickly. When the release of the latest version of a gadget causes hysteria, there is somthing sadly missing from the lives of the people who become hysterical.

NHS Hospitals Slated For Appalling Geriatric Care Standards

In many NHS hospitals staff are not ensuring older patients eat and drink properly. It is also revealed hospital staff often fail to respect the dignity of old people and talk to them in a condescending manner, the NHS watchdog warns.
In a scathingly critical report the Care Quality Commission said that more than half of NHS hospitals in England were falling short of key standards for dignity and nutrition in elderly people, a finding it called "truly alarming and deeply disappointing".
Of 100 acute care hospitals that received unannounced visits by inspectors between March and June this year, 45 met the NHS's standards relating to both patients' dignity and nutrition. Thirty-five met both standards but needed to make improvements in one or both areas. And 20 one in five did not meet either one or both of them. Too often staff did not treat patients with kindness and compassion, the report concluded.
Age support charities leaped on the findings the latest evidence of poor care of older patients. "Nearly one in five hospitals completely fails to ensure that patients are eating and treated with dignity and in total nearly half of all hospitals are not doing enough," said Age UK's charity director Michelle Mitchell. "This shows shocking complacency on the part of those hospitals towards an essential part of good healthcare and there are no excuses."
This is typical of the lefties who have hijacked and politicized our health service. While the Coalition has not shown any sings of competence in dealing with the problems in the health service, it is conveniently forgotten that 13 years of Labour mismanagement and loonytoons PFI schemes that only help Labour oarty donors pick the pockets of taxpayers are responsible for most of the problems.

Coalition of the Clueless Falls Back On Labour Bullshit
by Xavier Connolly
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/brit-kids-face-soaring-poverty-over-reforms-032046394.html
Almost one in four children will be in "child poverty" (whatever that is) by the end of the present decade due to the Government's planned welfare changes, a leading think tank has warned. The "squeezed middle" will also be hit by the biggest drop in average incomes since the 1970s, according to a bleak report by the Institute for Fiscal Studies. A predictable result of thirteen years Labour government in which private enterprise was attacked, obstructed and buried in bureaucacy while the public sector paperclip counter expanded their bureaucratic empires at an unprecedented rate.
Typical families will see their annual income drop by around Ł2,000 by 2013, the think tank said. Well of course. Nobody would deny that we need a public administration system but a new job created the government or a municpal authority is not a signal of growth in the economy but of growth in overheads, another taxeater to be fed from the efforts of the productive.
.
The IFS blames the tough economic situation and - more controversially - the Government's welfare policies. Nothing to do with the fact that almost half the people in wortk are tax earters then. Can't these intellectual idiots see the producers just can't create enough to go round. We know the cupid stunt Blair believed he could feed the nation with five loaves and two fishes but that kind of thing does not happen in real life.
Now the think tank complains measures such as pegging benefits to the lower rate of inflation means payments will rise at a slower rate. Labour has seized on the report to attack the Government's cuts. They don't get it do they? The more we borrow every month to fund the shortfall between what the government spends ad what it takes in, the less we have to pay benefits etc .The average income will fall by around 7% between 2009 and 2012 - the largest three-year fall for 35 years.
This would mean a typical couple with two children and a total income of Ł30,056 would be Ł2,080 worse off in 2013 in real terms than they were in 2010 because their income would fall to Ł27,976.
Shadow work and pensions secretary Liam Byrne said: "David Cameron promised us he would not increase child poverty. Now we have the truth. The Tory-led Government's decision to cut too far and too fast this year will condemn hundreds of thousands more children to grow up poor. All the progress our country has made in a decade fighting the scar of child poverty has been wiped out by the decisions of just one year. A generation of children will not thank Cameron."
Aww, the poor little mites will be stigmatized because they don't have the latest iTurd or whatever. Let's get something straight for the fuckwit lefties; poverty is not having enough to eat, decent clothes to wear or a warm, dry home to live in. A child whose self esteem is destroyed because they do not have an iPhone is not deprived in any way, they are victims of sleazy American con artists like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Websfuhrer Zuckerberg. Want to end child poverty, jail these theiving scumbags and ban their worthless products and the advertising that makes people who do not oiwn such useless junk feel inadequate.
Has it ever occurred to any of the Labour fuckwit MPs or the cretins who vote for them that poverty may not be relsated to material goods. Maybe it is Labour thinking that places so much emphasis on material possessions that causes poverty. Retards like Byrne, Ed Miliband and Mr. Bollocks himself would do well to recall the words of a true Labour man, Ernest Bevin, a giant compared to today's intellectual dwarves. He said, " Poverty of aspiration leads to poverty of spirit." So it is, is it not, the Labour politicians whgo preach that working class children should aspire to nothing more than ownership of the latest iPhone, trainers or computer game who are really to blame for child poverty.

Sometimes there \are days when there is no news worth looking at. Today we heard the Bank of England is going to pump more money into the economy thus devaluing savings even more. Even blind people could see that one coming.
Steve Jobs dies aged 56. That is sad but the eulogies hailing him as a genius are misplaced. He proved a master of marketing hyperbole but Apple's gadgets, accroding to our technology man who know far more than most people, were not innovative at all. All the iThis and iThat thingummies simply duplicated devices that had been around years. Even the firt Mac as not, as it claimed, the first personal computer with a graphic user interface. Xerox had one out five years earlier - and the Xerox product featured far superior networking capabilities. Jobs great skill was in making his products appear "cool" to a geeration conditioned to buy their self esteem.
Barack Obama is about to break an election pledge he made in 2008. Even his most fanatical soporters, the ones who drank the Kool Aid are starting to realise he was never anything but a Goldman Sachs puppet as he backtracks on promise after promise and caves in to big business more readily than to terrorists..
The biggest story of the day is the one that will have the health Nazis and Politically Correct Though Police clapping their hands with glee while all god men and true cry into their beer. The average priice of a pint across Britain has hit Ł3. Yes, three quid an effing pint. When I was a lad you could go out, have a bellyful, a quick upright with a prosser in Mancherter's Bloom Street, get a curry at the Taj, develop botulism, die, have a Co-op funeral and still have change out of three pounds.

Since when was being a drunken slut a crime?
by Ed Butt
Yesterday we reported on a computer game that trivialises rape and sexual violence for entertainment. Today we look at a very real case of rpe and violence, murder and injustice.
All the papers and TV news shows are full of the Amanda Knox case this morning. The young American woman convicted of the Morder of British student Meredith Kercher in Italy four years ago has been released on appeal along with her boyfriend who was also convicted. Another man, Rudy Geude, an African who confessed to the rape and killing of Miss Kercher is still serving a long sentence in an Italian jail. A fourth suspect, another African named Patrick Lumumba was aquitted.
What emerged in the original trial, subsequent reporting of the circumstances surrounding the muder and during the appeal hearing was that Amanda Knox was a drunk, drug user and was promiscuous and manipulative. None of these are in themselves criminal offences.
Apart from the transitional achievement of Knox in going from She Devil to Foxy Knoxy in less than twenty four hours according to the world media, the noticable things about this case are the lengths gone to by Italian prosecutors to implicate a native Italian man and a middle class American girl in the murder. The evidence against them was at best flimsy and under analysis turned out to be ludicrous. The conviction was obtained largely on the strength of a hate campaign by Italian media.
Italy has a significant and troublesome African immigrant community and one wonder how much of the anti Knox rhretoric was due to a desire to appease these people and the Politically Correct Thought Police who run the EU bureaucracy and most on the National Government organisations of member states.
I have worked with many Africans, most are fine people who come to Europe seeking a better life. There does however appear to be a minority unwilling to understand that when they decide to live in another nation they must abide by the laws and customs of that nation. And one of our customs in Europe is that we treat single women travelling alone with respect even if they wear short skirts and low cut tops. They are not sex toys to be done with as one wishes and then disposed of.
The Politically Correct Thought Police are always banging on about Human Rights. Did Meredith Kercher not have the right to live, did Amanda Knox, no matter how lax her peronal morals may have been, not have the right to a fair trial?
Just askin'?

The Human Rights Act Needs To Go Says Top Conservative
by Xavier Conolly
Coalition government Home Secretary Theresa May, the most senior Conservative minister after David Cameron and George Osborne told the party conference in Manchester, "The Human Rights act has to go.. She said: 'Cutting immigration is what the people want.' The Border Police Command needed to be reorganised the minister said, telling her audience:.
"We all know the stories about the Human Rights Act. The violent drug dealer who cannot be sent home because his daughter for whom he pays no maintenance lives here. The robber who cannot be removed because he has a girlfriend. The illegal immigrant who cannot be deported because and I am not making this up he had pet a cat.
This Press Association report reveals in 2009 a Bolivian man did indeed cite ownership of a pet cat with his girlfiend as part of his legal battle against deportation. But his lawyer said it was one of "many details" to prove the long-term nature of his relationship - and it was not the reason he was granted leave to stay in the Immigration Tribunal. Solicitor Barry O'Leary said:
We were never arguing on the basis that the cat was material. We argued that there is a Home Office policy they should have applied in this case because of the long term nature of the couple's relationship.
Well we know stories of immigration act and human rights insanities worse than that. So we must wonder, was Ms. May telling the paryty faithful what they wanted to hear or can we expect actin sometime soon.

Techno - creeps are getting sicker - what kid of weirdo would play The Path?
by Ian Thorpe
As a former information technology professional I have written many times in recent years of the sinister direction in which the entertainment side of the internet is heading. From the creepy neo - Nazi ambitions of Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Google semi autistic Creepy Exectutive Offices Page and Brin and the original world domination control freak Bill Gates the drive to make us "share" all our lives online with total strangers gets sicker and more obsessive.
Now we have game software, the traditional home of the cyberstalkers and billy-no-mates nerds, delivering a game that virtualizes sexual terror and violence.
Independent art-software studio Tale of Tales released their first commercial title The Path two years ago, to minor Internet controversy. This short horror game - which eschews traditional game mechanics in favour of exploration and abstract imagery - ostensibly tells the story of six young girls wandering into the woods and getting ravaged by wolves. While some took the Little Red Riding Hood theme as a metaphor for growing up, others feared that it was really a game in which you led young women towards sexual abuse and a grizzly end. The developers suggested otherwise, but have never offered an official interpretation.
The best we have been offered is that the game is a take on the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Erm .... excuse me, I don't remember Red Rinding Hood ever being depicted as a pubescent girl who worse slutty outfits. And in the fairy story the girl is not torn to shreds. Fairy Story my arse.
No matter what arty farty interpretations are offered by apologises for web - nerd fuckwittery the game is clearly about stalking and brutal rape.
Nice.

Gang Member Are Like Child Soldiers - IDS
by Ed Butt
3 October, 2011
Former Conservative leaders Iain Duncan Smith has told the party conference young street gang members, who played a significan tpart in this summer's riots, are like Third World child soldiers. The statement was an obvious reference to The Lord's Revolutionary Army a quasi religious terror movement that operates in Kenya, Uganda and other north east African states. The LRA specialises in recruiting children by feeding and sheltering them and then brainwashing them to become part of its criminal acivities that include theft, extortion and systematic rape.
The Work and Pensions secretary said that decent people cannot live in areas where gangs rule. The gang culture in Britain has sucked in young people from White, African - Caribbean and Asian families and inculcated a tribalistic mentality, my gang right or wrong.
Blaming gangs for playing a ''significant part'' in August's riots across England, Duncan Smith said tackling Britain's ''violent gang culture'' was vital, and restoring the economy went ''hand in hand with restoring order in society''.
Mr Duncan Smith said he believed the riots ''provided a moment of clarity for us all, a reminder that a strong economy requires a strong social settlement, with stable families ready to play a productive role in their communities''. He added: ''Our task is to achieve this rebalancing of society.''
All that is easy to say but can the Coalition seriously be expected to tackle the tasks that must be completed before we start to talk about repairing our "broken society"? Those are to rebuild the economy so that most people can expect to work in meaningful jobs and to restore communities so people are not segregated along lines of class, age and material wealth?

Must We Sacrifice The Future To Save The Euro?
by Profanicus Maximus
Is it really worth sacrificing the euro to save the future as our leaders seem to believe. Or is there another agenda in which us ordinary punters were never going to have a future anyway?
British taxpayers are being dragged into a Ł1.75trillion deal aimed at saving the euro and advancing the New World Order agenda of creating a single European superstate. That is where the plan to allow Greece to default on its massive debts will lead.
The proposed deal would set up a massive fund to create a "firewall" around the most indebted euro zone countries, allow for an "orderly" Greek default on at least some of its liabilities, and bail out European banks most at risk from debt. And who would pay, who would bear the burden of funding this massive scheme for rewarding failure and incompetence.
